Apple Watch Band too small. Will there be a XL size?

As I looked through the options for the Apple Watch I was really pumped to get one. This was until I saw Apples band size chart. Immediately I realized that the band sizes would never fit my wrist. It is frustrating to think that Apple has alienated a whole group of customers because they decided not to make a XL Apple Watch Band. I guess my question to Apple is will there be a XL Apple Watch Band?
Its frustrating to think that I may not be able to pre order my device because of small bands.

I have read several comments like this - even mentioned it when I went to the Apple Store for my try-on. (BTW my wrist problem was that mine is around 170mm, which is at one end of the Leather Loop and the other end of the other size - glad I did not pre-order the larger band like I planned.) Anyway, the two people I spoke to said that (1) yes they have heard many comments/complaints about no larger sizes and (2) they have not heard of any plans by Apple at this point in manufacturing larger bands. However, they did say that there will be bands coming out by third party manufacturers and then (and I) would be very surprised if no one made an effort to fill this market if Apple does not decide to.

  • Apple Watch band too small

I asked the Apple chat people if the Tim Cook Genius Division was working on a solution that will allow those of us that don't fit Apple's idea of who should buy and wear their Apple Watch, a way to wear the watch rather than put it in our pocket with our iPhone. They told me that there are no plans at this time to customize the Watch. I explained that I don't want to customize it I would just like to be able to wear it as it is marketed, on my wrist. They told me that in essence that would be customizing it. I am hoping that someone will realize that it would be very easy to make a Milanese Loop band longer or any of the bands for that matter. Why frustrate their public and lose sales. It doesn't make sense. I guess we can duct tape them on our wrist until young enthusiastic entrepreneurs start marketing bands that fit us. Now that will be customizing.

I visited the Apple Store today for my 15 minute try-on session.  Was very disappointed that every single band that I tried on did not fit.  I could not get my hand through the Milanese loop, the Black Leather band was too small by two holes and the Black magnetic link band actually fit but as soon as I started to bend my wrist, the band got looser and looser and then would just open and fall off.  Under normal all-day wear, I would surely loose the watch with this band because it does not loop around enough for my wrist.
What a shame that they are not making bands for people with larger wrists bones, fat wrists, skinny wrists, whatever!  They should accommodate all size people even if they only have those specialized sizes in very limited quantities.  If I have to wait 2-3 months for it, so be it!  at least I can still get one.

  • Apple watch bands

I see the different Apple watch bands can be purchased seperatly. Can these bands be used with the sport watch or can only the sport bands be used with the sport watch? Also, will the watches be available at other retail stores like the phones? Thanks!

The sport watch comes with 2 different sized bands. So we know that they are replaceable. The dimensions look the same between the two, the regular watch being heavier with the stainless steel. Just wondering if the standard bands will fit the sport watch. I really don't want to buy the more expensive watch to get the band I want.

  • Can it please be an option to delete the Apple Watch app, as I will not be forking over hundreds, let alone thousands, to buy a watch

Can it please be an option to delete the Apple Watch app, as I will not be forking over hundreds, let alone thousands, to buy a watch?

You can tell Apple at the link below.

  • Apple Watch band is too short for me

I've checked out size of band for Apple Watch and all of these model are too short for me. Even Classic Buckle that is the longest type of band in all family is still not fit. My wrist size is 230mm. Feel so sad...... Hope Apple will made longer band size in the next gen.

Let me try this again. (This is for a stainless 38).
I saw the specs on the band. I tried to use a tape measure to determine if it would fit, and I should have had help as that is hard to do alone. But is seemed alright, and I ordered the watch.
I am a watch junkie. I have never had a problem like this. You come to expect a certain "standard" when you buy a watch, and ALL of my watches have a longer
strap, and I guess (Shame on me) I assumed so would the Apple Watch.
The band fits, so to speak, but the part that is left after you pass it though the buckle, is not long enough, and the band keeper-loop thingey does not have enough band to keep it in place. Therefore you are constantly having to slide the loop back over it to keep it in place.
I could send it back, but you might imagine how I feel about that. I made sure I got mine on the 24th because I stayed up and ordered it right after midnight on the 10th. I really wanted the watch.

  • Apple watch band option

I want a space gray apple watch (not the sport) with the black sport band. is there a way to pick the color of you watch with the band you want?

Not yet. They aren't out and Apple hasn't started taking orders. Then you will find out. We don't know.

  • Can you use any Apple watch band on any Apple watch as long as the face size in the same?

I was told you can only use the Sport bands on the Sport watches but that the Apple Watch and Apple Edition can take any band, is there any truth in this?

If you go to the Watch site (on the menu bar above) and look at the different models you see that some models use a more integrated method of band attachment.  Others use a bar for attachement that allows more flexibility in band use.

  • Apple Watch Bands, information and pre-orders

Will it be possible to get the silver aluminum apple watch with a black sport band? And what time in which time zone will the Apple Watch pre-orders open? And how much storage will the apple watch have?

We have no more information than you do on the Watch. We are users just like you, so only have the same public info that is available to everyone at this point.
    Sorry,

  • Yosemite Apple Mail prints too small

After Yosemite upgrade the body of text in Apple Mail messages prints extremely small. 2 Printers tested - HP Laserjet 5100tn and a Konica Minolta 5500 with a Fiery controller. Printing to a PDF file first is OK.
This only seems to occur when I print messages that I've sent or when I print a message where someone has replied to a message that I sent previously. Only the body of the messages that I sent prints too small. The From, Subject, Date, To, My signature, and anything from messages that have been sent to me from someone else are all OK. In messages that were replies to me from messages that I sent to others, everything is OK except the body of the message that I originally sent to that individual.

I have had this issue as well and have not really been able to resolve it. Yosemite Mail app doesn't seem to have the option that previous OS did where you could choose "Scale Message to Fit," "Rewrap Message to Fit," etc.
Am I missing something here or did they disable this option?  I know I can change font or increase font size in preferences, but I don't really need to increase font size for display, only for printing, which seems to be very tiny no matter what I try to do.

  • Apple Watch bands interchangeable

Sorry...I saw a note to put Apple Watch questions in the iPhone board, so I am.
I'm planning on buying the Apple Watch Sport.  Are all the bands interchangeable or just the Watch Sport bands?  I'm looking to get one of the leather bands but prefer space gray over stainless steel.

  • Apple start page too small

When I open safari to get on the internet suddenly my apple start up page that safari first opens is only a square size on the scree instead if the usual full widescreen display. Hitting the green +open button in upper left corner doesn't open it up. Every internet page is displayed this way. How do I fill up the whole screen?
    macbook

    Hi Chris,
Mary is right. Once you drag the bottom right corner to the size you want and leave it there, the next time you open Safari, that is the size it will be.
You can put this in your Safari menu bar if you like too...
    javascript:self.moveTo(0,0);self.resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight);
Then just go into your menu edit area and name what you like.
    Good Luck

  • Thunderbird **Main Screen** Font is WAY TOO small - and there are no provisions to change that text size!

I see lots and lots of complaints but NO suitable answer! Most answers don't even answer the question but instead tell how to increase MESSAGE font size - not the main screen "message list". Suggestions to change screen resolution are common but are ludicrous. One would have to change resolution every time they went in or out of Thunderbird! CTRL+ is also suggested but does not work on the message list. Creating and inserting CSS into the profile is a ridiculous suggestion for most users. And changing advanced settings is only an option for a guru - from my experience less than 10% of the folks I know would even look at the advanced settings - and less than 10% of those few would actually attempt such changes. This has been an ongoing complaint for a looong time.
It's time someone stepped up to the plate and provided a reasonable method of changing the size of the text on this screen.
Or do you want to limit you users to only programmer types?

I have recently made the switch in the last week to Thunderbird from Apple Mail. I have been a Firefox user for many years. Near enough from the beginning. So far I am impressed with Thunderbird but it is lacking something that I don't get with Firefox. Font size is a big issue for me too and it's straining my already short sighted and possibly making (damaging) my eyesight more by using Thunderbird.
Though I agree with everything you are saying. I am one of those users who would prefer to change things within thunderbird itself rather than go and install another third party addon. I by no means am a guru but I have a fairly good understanding of things and would like to learn more about the about:config side of things treading carefully. I have tweaked things in Firefox this way. and disabled some items for security reasons. I am having difficulty finding info within the Mozilla site on this side of things and have yet to go down the search engine route for research into this.
I would like to change not only the main message list as you suggest but also the From, Subject, Reply To, To and Route content along with the Reply, Forward, Archive btns along with any other content etc, above the main message content. As well as my folders.
I feel Thunderbird is lacking accessibility features for those with bad vision or using smaller screen sizes. What I would like is a + and - with percentage btn like in Firefox that zooms in and out the complete page in a more responsive web like way. This would greatly improve things for many users. I'm sorry Mozilla but being able to zoom in and out with a keyboard shortcut in the main message content is not good enough.

  • Apple Mail (Mavericks), Viewing size of list is too small.how do you increase the size of the email message list.  The font is too small, I can hardly read them.

In Apple Mail, using Mavericks, how do you increase the size of the email message list that displays on the left side of the screen?
The font size is so small.
    Thanks.

Thank you for responding.  After investigating and checking further, it was clear that only one of your suggestions changes the font size of the list of emails, also called the In-box.  And that is the display resolution.
However, changing the display resolution affects the dots per inch of everything, everywhere and makes it larger.
Given the high end fee Apple charges for their products, and the generally well developed software they provide, it is hard to imagine they have not corrected this obvious slight of effort on the inbox text. At times Apple's "one-size-fits-all" and "it's our way or no way" mentality astounds me and makes me want to run back to Microsoft.
Evidently this is a well known mistake, which has yet to receive any attention.
Again, thank you for your effort and assistance on my behalf.

  • At max screen size th fonts are far too small and there seems no way to correct this

OK you can move down to a smaller screen but what was th epoint of buying a 27 inch machie if yo have to return to the days of Windows 95?
UYou can move some of the windows up by zooming but then the text starts to mess up and merge together.
in Windows you can go to text size 72, in mac its 8 to 24 only whats going on here?
And dont tell me they might work on a future workaround i just laid out two grand to get text i cant read
    Hmmm
    Banjo

There's a app, TinkerTool, that may be able to change the system's font size.
I've not used it so can't comment on how compatible or effective it is.

  • Font too small to read increase site font size

IThe font in firefox keeps decreasing in size. Most sites font is probably a 6 or 7 pt. Ridiculous and I cannot find out how to change it. Please help immediately or I will have to cancel firefox account. Norton does not indicate I have any virus of any sort affecting computer.

Have you tried Firefox's zoom feature? Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages
You can "zoom" all sites using this add-on: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592/ NoSquint]. After setting your global zoom level, you can still fine-tune the zoom on individual sites.
After installing NoSquint, click the % on the Add-on Bar to call up site preferences, then click the Global Settings button, then the Zooming tab.
If you don't have the Add-on Bar displayed, you can right-click the new tab button ("+") or a blank area of the tab bar to the right of it and choose Add-on Bar from the shortcut menu.
You can experiment with sizes larger than 125%, but I wouldn't go much higher than 150% unless you have a large high-resolution monitor.
If there are particular sites that still present a problem, feel free to post their URLs.
You can find more information about the zoom features Firefox offers in these articles:
[[Text zoom]] - For zooming text only
[[Page zoom]] - For zooming the whole page (including images etc.)
