but when I run through command line i.e./usr/java/jdk1.5.0_03/bin/appletviewer /home/root/Hello.html
It works very cutely.
What could be the problem
my Enviornment variables are as follows
PATH="$PATH:/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_03/bin:."
export PATH
JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_03/
export JAVA_HOME
CLASSPATH=/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_03/lib/tools.jar
export CLASSPATH
Can some one help me out

use the htmlconverter tool in the jdk bin direcotory.
The applet tag has been depreciated for some time now and should be used with legacy
applets (msjvm) allthough the jre installation is pretty eagor to run those applets for you
it can't in most cases (com.ms packeges).
The object tag should be used when your applet is above java version 1.1.2 or msjvm
might be trying to run an applet it can'r run.

    Several issues with the diagnostic console extension have been fixed in WLS 9.2. Can you try the extension from 9.2? WLS 9.2 is now ready for download from the BEA site.

  • Applet Loading Fails

    Hi
    Applet Loading Fails in Internet Explorer, I tried the follwing two solutions I found on www.java.com
    1.
    # Double click the icon to open the "Java Control Panel"
    # In the "Java Control Panel", select the Browser Tab
    # Make sure the box next to Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Mozilla is checked
    # If it is not checked, click the checkbox to enable the JRE for your Web browser
    # Click the Apply button.
    2.
    #Click "Tools" --> "Internet Options"
    #Select the Advanced Tab, and scroll down to "Java (Sun)"
    #Check the box next to the "Use Java 2" version
    #Next, select the Security Tab, and select the "Custom Level" button
    #Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets"
    #Make sure the "Enable" radio button is checked.
    #Click OK to save your preference.
    but the problem still continues. Can it be my Java version, I tried it with both Java 5 and 1.4

    What kind of error message do you get?
    KajIt just displays the grey area where the applet is supposed to be and writes applet loading failed on the status bar

  • Applet loading fails: ClassNotFound exception onlyyyy on linux

    Hello,
    I have a server on my embedded device with WinCE, and this server has the jar files and html files. connecting with Windows is working fine and Java applet loads and runs perfectlly.
    The problem is with linux clients, I can't load the applet.
    I expected to havesomething wrong with the plugin, But I tried with the test applets on www.sun.com and they are working fine.
    The error is ClassNotFoundException and http connection failed, although when I take the URL copy/paste from the Java console to the address bar of the firefox it downloads the class file. so the path is OK.
    Also I can run with the appletviewer and it works perfect like the case with windows. The problem is with the browser, It can'T load the applet from a remote machine.
    Also I made an empty applet with a button on it to check may be I should compile on linux!! but also this failed, I could load this applet locally (the html and class files on desktop) and when I places them on the server in the directory configured to be the www public directory It is not loaded. And again this test applet laoded on windows machines.
    I use the same JRE version on linux and windows and the same JDK.
    I use on windows Opera/ Firefox/ explorer and all are working, on linux I use Firefox/ Konqurer/ Epiphany and all are not working.
    Any Idea?????

  • Second applet load fails

    This problem is reproducible always.
    I am using the Java Plug-in 1.5.0_10 in Windows XP Pro.
    If you set the Java Runtime Parameters in the Java Applet Runtime Settings tab (Start->Control Panel->Java, Java tab) as follows:
    -xms256m -xmx512m -Xdebug -Xnoagent -Djava.compiler=NONE -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=5005
    Then visit this page in FireFox: http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.4.1/demos/applets/Animator/example3.html
    And then bring up an Internet Explorer (6.0.2900.2180) page to the same URL, the IE browser simply disappears.
    If you change the Java Runtime Parameters settings to simply:
    -xms256m -xmx512m
    Then both browsers load okay.
    This works in the converse, too. Start IE first, load URL and then start FireFox and FireFox will vanish.
    There appears to be some kind of problem when specifying Runtime Settings:
    -Xdebug -Xnoagent -Djava.compiler=NONE -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=5005
    I run with the debug settings to allow me to debug remotely from my IDE.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    This seems to occur on firefox 1.0.x, but not on 1.5.x.

  • Loading fails, when classes from other packages are referenced

    My applet follows a simple package structure.
    There's package P1 and there's another package in it P2 (P1.P2)
    P1 contains Applet class A.
    P2 contains another class C and interface I. C implements I.
    A contains a reference of C, which is initialized in the constructor. The use in the constructor of the A (the applet) is something like this
    public A () {
              reg = ToolkitRegistry.getEntry (); //where reg is a reference of type ToolkitRegistry.
              // some more code
              i = (I) C.getC (); //where i is a reference of type I.
    }Trying to load this applet throws error saying "Package Loading failed". Important is to note that the loading occurs successfully by commenting out this line           i = (I) C.getC (); //where i is a reference of type I. , without any other change.
    I understood this to be some problem with the AIDs assigned to both the packages while converting. Unsure of what's the correct way to assign the PIX values, I've been trying some permutation/combinations, it doesn't seem to work.
    Has neone already faced this problem & knows the solution? (The specs aren't much help)

    One more point ..... I mentioned commenting the statements, I DO NOT commment the other statements referencing the other package. This means that the loading IS succesfull, even when these two lines reside in there.
    1. import P1.P2.*; 2. private I i = null;Above two lines pass the loader. The object creation gets stuck.
    Wonder if the package references are actually alright, because JVM wud've treated both situations in a similar way. JCVM is ofcourse different but JCVM spec does not say nething abt this situation (rem: everything is public, so the access control restrictions also do not apply)
    are there ne instantiation restrictions? [In my case, it's in the constructor thread)

    First, Java plugin don't use browser https connection starting JRE 1.4, for running an applet in https server, the browser need to establish a https connection first, then Java pugin will use another https connection.
    Second, Java plugin can read certificate from browser, starting JRE 1.5, you can go to Java control panel, Advanced tab, under security, check on the box:
    "Use certificate and keys in browser keystore"
    This way the Java plugin will read the certificate from browser too. (It will work automatically in IE browser, if you use Mozilla, you have to install JSS package first).
    To answer your question, you can either turn on that option or import https certificate into JRE keystore (using Java control panel) for https connection.
    Hope that answered your question.

  • Windows 8.1 SOFTWARE registry hive load failed on Windows Server 2012

    Hello,
    I am participated in custom Windwows Software backup/restore project development that requires load of Windows SOFTWARE/SYSTEM registry hives from target OS system drive connected to Windows system.
    On all Windows version except Windows 8.1 program works correctly but when host system (on that programm run on) is Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8 and target system is Windows 8.1 registry hive load failed with following error:
    Failed to load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: [1009] The configuration registry database is corrupt.
    After run of 'chkdsk /r' error still remained. All requred security privileges (SE_BACKUP, SE_RESTORE) are applied. All systems are 64-bit.
    Generally even system registry editor (regedit) could not open SOFTWARE hive  from Windows 8.1 with following error:
    Cannot Load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: Error while loading hive.
    But when host system is Windows 7 or Windwos Server 2008 then SOFTWARE hive  loaded without any problem.
    So is there some Windows 8/8.1 registry hives validation mechanism or additional security checks tha prevents load of registry hives fromother OS instance?

    Sorry for later response. I was busy with other tasks.
    The procMon tool shows RegLoadKey is failed when it tried to load the hive on Windows 8.1 (8.1 based WinPE also). On Windows 7, I didn't see the error (Shows Success instead of REGISTRY CORRUPT). Once the hive is load & unloaded on Windows 7 OS, the
    check sum of the hive is changed, and I can load the updated hive with regedit in Windows 8.1 OS.

    For example in one senario. I have an error message that displays in the Label control once they click on the button.
    The user opens the html page and the applet is loaded (window 1). The user then opens the same html page again (window 2) with window 1 still open. If the user clicks on the Button in window 1, the error message is displayed in the window 2 applet.
    Originally I had some static variables. Thinking it was being used globally by the JVM so I removed all of them and it still happens. I have tried using both the Applet and Object tag. But it still happens.
    Has anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions on how to make the applet update the instance that recieved the events and not just the last one that was loaded?

    You need to look at applet classloader issues. If applets have the same archive list and come from the same codebase, they have the same classloader. A class is namespaced by it's class + classloader. Any statics in a class with a classloader will be shared. If you instead make it such that your applets have unique classloaders (which you can't change for unsigned applets by yourself) by changing the codebase, that would be one solution.
    For other solutions, I recommend searching the forum. This issue comes up a lot.

  • Data load failed while loading data from one DSO to another DSO..

    Hi,
    On SID generation data load failed while loading data  from Source DSO to Target DSO.
    Following are the error which is occuuring--
    Value "External Ref # 2421-0625511EXP  " (HEX 450078007400650072006E0061006C0020005200650066
    Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject 0BBP
    So, i'm  not getting  WHY in one DSO i.e Source  it got successful but in another DSO i.e. Target its got failed??
    While analyzing all i check that SIDs Generation upon Activation is ckecked in source DSO but not in Target DSO..so it is reason its got failed??
    Please explain..
    Thanks,
    Sneha

    Hi,
    I hope your data flow has been designed in such a way where the 1st DSO as a staging Device and all transformation rules and routine are maintained in between 1st to 2nd dso and sid generation upon activation maintained in 2nd DSO.  By doing so you will be getting your data 1st DSO same as your source system data since you are not doing any transformation rules and routine etc.. which helps to avoid data load failure.
    Please analyze the following
    Have you loaded masterdata before transaction data ... if no please do it first
    go to the property of first dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (it may not be maintained I guess)
    Goto the property of 2nd Dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (It may be maintained I hope)
    this may be the reason.
    Also check whether there is any special char involvement in your transaction data (even lower case letter)
    Regards
    BVR

    I suspect that the fields having subtype 3 just before the garbled columns is a clue, but not sure what to replace with or adjust.
    Any and all help mighty appreciated.

    Worthwhile suggestion, just having difficulty applying.
    I will tinker with it more. But still open to more suggestions.
