Application doesn't render the updated changes

Hi Experts,
When ever I made changes in the abap code / javascript and run the application directly from IE instead of SE80 I can't see the updated changes in the screen, instead scrap dispaly on the screen. It is the behaviour untill I delete all the browser history, temporary files and cookies from the browser and have to close all the IE sessions.
But when I launch the application from the SE80 there won't be issues.
What could be reason for this behaviour.
In my application I didn't use any sessions rather everything works based on the request scope.
Would there be any problem if I don't use session in my application, the reason I didn't use is because I don't need user logoff at any time.
Any suggestion how to get rid of this probelm.

Supposing you are comparing a debug application on the development machine with a standalone executable on the target machine, the behaviour of them can be different due to additional informations and precautions that are present in the debug application. The best option is to test the executable in the development machine and see if it behaves correctly: if it exposes the same wrong behaviour than on target machine you must check the differences between these two applications. See for example this tip from Wendi L.
If on the contrary the executable runs correctly in the development machine you must double check that execution environment is the same, including support files you are using in both machines. You can also try to remotely debug the program on the target machine, see this tutorial for an explanation of remote debugging facilities included with CVI.

Running OpenScript Application doesn't load the forms

Hi,
I'm new using OpenScript and I'm facing a problem.
I need to create scripts to test a site that implement some Oracle Forms, I can open IE and use the site without problems, BUT when I run OpenScript to create the script, the application doesn't load the forms!!!
After many attempts I found that someone changed the jvm.dll file of the JInitiator, I changed it again to the installation one, and I was able to see the form and recording the script, but when I play the script doesn't load the form!!!!
If I take a look to the screenshots, I can see the forms I recorded.
Now the change I did on the JInitiator only works from time to time!
Finally when I'm using the site and it doesn't load the forms I see this error on the bottom of the page: "error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Activator"
Anyone have an idea of what is happen and how to fix it?
These are the versions I'm using:
OpenScrip: 9.2.0.0 Production - Build ID: 2.5.0.0370
JInitiator: 1.3.1.29
IE: 7.0.5730.131C

A screen shot from Mission Control might be enlightening. If you can see the application window in Mission Control, what happens if you move it from one desktop to another? Or what happens if you eliminate one of the desktops?

a) type the key combination <CMD> + <OPT> + <ESC>
b) you select the menu item " > Force Quit..."

The error means that your antivirus or firewall is blocking the update process.

Settting render attribute doesn't render the child taskflow

i am having 2 taskflows which is consumed by a consuming page.
On the consuming page on which these 2 taskflows are dropped as region.
the 2 regions are placed along with some buttons inside separate panelGroupLayouts.
i mean in 1 panelGroupLayout 1 region and button is there and similarly in 2nd panaleGroupLayout other regin and button.
On consuming page there is next button , i have set it to render 1st panelGroupLayout.
when i click Next button it renders the 1st region and buttons correctly. But when i click the back button from the 1st region and come back to consuming page and again click NEXT button, it remains at the same consuming page
and doesn't render the region 1 and its buttons again.
in code, on the 1st panelGroupLayout i have put rendered="a variable in backingbean of consuming page which i am setting to true on the next button click event".
Please help in this issue.

user, please tell us your jdev version!
it you yet the rendered property to false you have to do a full refresh to get the region back. Use the visible property instead.

Finally found the solution to this issue after reading other complaints similar to mine. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings.
After doing this the Find Friends apps, Find my iphone apps & maps will open without crashing

JSF to render the updated data

On the portlet, when i select the year and company name, it displays the appropriate company info. when i edit those information and save them, it updates the database and goes to another web page and displays the modified data. But when i select the year and company again, it shows the original data and not the modified data. If i restart the websphere application server and login the application and select the year and company, now it shows the modified data. Hence only when i restart the appln server, i am able to see the modified data
Can someone let me know why this happens and how to fix this?

well sounds like the data is getting cached somewhere. Perhaps in a session scoped bean?
Also a thing to try: If you go to the page and it is showing the old data, does it display the new data if you perform a hard refresh (CTRL+F5 for example)?

Why does the update change my home page and make Google so prevelant?

Several of the last "updates" involved the changing of my bookmarks and home page,. The so called update required me to spend more time in refreshing the browser to its previous condition. This is frustrating to say the least. Second why does the updated version of of firefox seem to favor google?

Normally, an update does not change your home page...
What did you home page change to? That might help identify the source of the problem.
I assume you have tried changing your home page back to your preferred site, either in the Options dialog or using one of the other methods:
* [[Startup, home page and download settings]]
* [[How to set the home page]]
Did that work at all? By "at all" I mean:
* Immediately after making the change, if you click the Home button, or launch a new window using Ctrl+n, does your preferred page load? Or is that ignored?
* Does the setting revert later in your session (you see in Options it has changed)?
* Does the setting revert after you exit and start Firefox up again?
* Is the problem only when you use your Firefox desktop shortcut?
With that information, it will be easier to recommend a solution.
I'm not sure I understand your second question. Google has always been the default search provider in Firefox. Are you seeing even more Google than that?

Automate the update changes for Approvers

How can we update changes for Approvers from Manual to Automated Process?
In our current solution when a person changes a position or a manager, we are required to manually update the personal responsible for approvals.
How can we automate this process as part of our current structure?

I am waiting for the reply from customer on the above questions.
Assuming that customer is using the ‘Manually Assigned Approver’-Execl-Upload to define the
approver of each employee, I have recommended to use the RLU-replication, that is available since 1302 release, in order to replicate line management structures into CfTE if line manager approval is required. The replication can be done manually or automatically depending on their process.

IWeb has published my Podcast - but iTunes doesn't show the updated feed

I created three new Podcast episodes today, which all work fine and are published to .Mac like a dream...
The first one was picked up by iTunes and downloaded as I've subscribed to my own feed. As you do. The last two are not showing on iTunes at all...
In fact I realised on closer inspection that only five of the twelve Podcasts are in iTunes. Any ideas why?
Interestingly, the iWed icon in the application bar has "2" in a red circle in a "you've got two waiting to be published" kinda way. But all the pages are blue and I have published all pages to .Mac. Honest.
I'm no RSS geek, so any help greatly appreciated!

The red icon with numbers in the iWeb icon on your dock means you have new comments added to your site. The number represents how many new comments there are.

Will the update change my page again as it normally does? I hate your updates

Every time you have an update, something is unnecessarily changed on my home page. The bookmarks thing might be moved. I get messages saying that Firefox has blocked something and I have to open it. Messages saying that I have to close it down for some reason. Why do you have to change things that have been OK for so long just for sake of doing it. I was used to going to the right of my screen for my bookmarks, now I have to go to the left. What was achieved in that move. It seems to me that someone is given the job of doing an update and he/she decides to change things simply because they can do. Is this going to happen again with this update, if so, then I can't be bothered with it.

Okay. So the third or forth time resetting all those things didn't work. So I started up in safe mode. And currently it's spinning with a circle with the cross logo.
I have it running off an external hard drive. I think it's due to to that nhence the logo.
So I'll just let it sit he unless there's a way you know to make it pick up right away.

Hi, I am using an iPhone 4 but i have been unable to update the operating system. i am still using iOS 4, as I can't find the "software update" function in my phone - it is not found under 'General' as listed. Updating via iTunes syncing to my macbook doesn't seem to help either (again, i cant find the 'look for updates' function).

Correct. This is only a feature of ios 5 and higher.
If you have the latest itunes version, then you should simply open itunes and connect your iphone. It will liekly prompt you to update.
