Application session won't terminate

This is a strange issue.
Network connection paramaters:
-Remote site has 50/10 cable link (no QoS).
   Cable company has verified connections/signal etc.. = good
-Wireless AP is cisco AIR-CAP3602I-A-K9 which connects back to a WISM (WS-SVC-WISM2-K9)
-Cisco 891 router
   VPN created back to ASA5520
   Ping times across tunnel occasionally reach 200 - 500 ms intermittently. Mostly in the 40 -50ms range.
   Ping times out the internet are 40 - 50 ms as proved by Cable tech.
Issue: (ONLY OCCURS when using Wireless)
User selects application (chatty application) icon and desktop to start a session. No troubles, opens up fairly quickl (every time).
User is able to perform production activities, again no issues (every time).
User tries to end session and is unable to do so. For whatever reason she cannot terminate the session (EVERY TIME!)
Server team members are saying it is a result of the higher ping times. My response
is "if it was high ping times then why doesn't affect login and use of application"?
Server team has been reluctant to check server for any messages concerning this specific session.
This issue only occurs at this new site:
This issue occurs only when:
   user tries to end the session
   when user is on wireless.
Anyone have any idea's on how to vett out the network/wireless connections?

I have a JSP application running under Oracle 9iAS 1.0.2.1 on a Windows 2000 server.
Upon successful login to the application, a new browser window is opened for the application and the parent browser is redirected to a benign static HTML page. The new browser window allows us to present the illusion of a captive application - the 'application' browser window is not resizable and does not have a tool bars.
The login jsp creates several session scope objects. These session scope objects are used by the core application jsps interfaced through the application browser.
In the test enviroment the application functions as expected.
In the production environment sessions appear to terminate immediately following login. All session scope objects are null in the jsp page - mainMenu.jsp - that serves as the application entry point in the new browser window. Application scope objects are not null in this initial jsp. Upon a subsequent access to login.jsp, the application_onStart event is triggered, followed by a session_onStart event and the failure of mainMenu.jsp due to null session scoped objects.
Any ideas on how to diagnose this problem would be greatly appreciated.

i have an application deployed on weblogic 11. after 30mins the application session times out.
1.how can increase this time.
2. can this be done in weblogic since on the application side there is no configuration for the time out.

Hello;
On middleware the default should be 3600 seconds.
To change :
Login to the WebLogic Administration Console
Under domain structure click Deployments
Click on the "em" Enterprise Application
Click on the Configuration Tab
Set "Session Timeout (in seconds):" to 7200 ( or whatever you want )
Hit the Save button to save your changes in the deployment plan
I would make sure an idle timeout in not set in the database profile as well.

Firefox sent an email to me to confirm that I had asked the above question. The email had a link to click. When I clicked it from Firefox, nothing happened. Then I opened IE, signed into Comcast, opened the email, clicked the link, and it brought me here.

Hello,
I previously used Firefox on my old Mac G4 with OS 10.3.9; the above issue existed with that system and Firefox 2.00.2 (or similar). I then "tried" to move to a G5 Mac with OS 10.5, hoping that an updated Mac Operating system and updating Firefox would solve that problem.
I'm now working on my son's MacBook Pro, OS 10.5.8, 2.4 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo; 2gb Memory; 2 gb 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM.
I still have a problem in Firefox Preferences trying to download .qif files. BofA Mortgage accounts only allow downloading of .qif files. My .qfx download works fine, but the error message is as follows:
The error message is that this is a corrupted file or one that Preview doesn't recognize.
and it is still a problem when trying to download Quicken .qif format files for our B of A mortgage.
The preferences for Firefox under File Helpers won't let me name the extension I want; instead, it CONFUSES .qif (Quicken Interchange Format) with .qtif (Quicktime Image Format) for Mac.
Therefore, when I download .qif files and try to import them to Quicken, I get a message that this is a corrupted file:

Well, in the end, I just gave up and deleted the photos, in the hope that it was something to do with them. Took some more photos and they seem to have imported without any problems at all.
Given that the same irksome photos loaded on the wife's macbook without so much as a murmur, how weird is that?
Still- all's well that ends well. Thanks for the suggestions- much appreciated.

Adobe Application Manager Won't Open and CC Desktop failed to install

I am running Win 7 Ultimate. Adobe Application Manager Won't Open and CC Desktop failed to install on my computer after I signed up for Adobe CC tonight. I am currently using the CS5 suite (perpetual license) and do not want to uninstall any of the programs until I am successfully running the Adobe CC versions. The AAM gives me an error message saying that it failed to open when I select it, and the creative cloud installer fails to install. I have tried restarting my computer. Help? This is very frustrating. I am a student and use this software on a daily basis, and can't afford to not have these programs available when I need them.

Url iview - application sessions maximum reached.

Hi,
In a role there is an url iview created for a visual composer application. The role contains four such iviews. When the user clicks in an order say iview1 - iview2 -iview1 - iview2 -iview1 - iview2 . On the seventh time its showing an error.
'The maximum number of application sessions for this user session has been exceeded. At least one of the running application sessions must be closed before a new one can be started.'
When I tried to open the same iview using the link open in new window multiple times on the seventh time its showing the same error.
When I closed one window and refresh the window which is having error the iview comes properly.
So from these my guess is that the iviews open the windows internally and not closing it. So we are getting this error.
Kindly let me know wheter i am correct and guide me how to resolve this.

Try trashing the .plist in Home/Library/Preferences which has CharacterPalette in its name.

Flashbuilder and Cold Fusion (using application/session variables)

I would like to know if anybody uses Flashbuilder with Cold Fusion?
Since Cold Fusion has lots of different scopes of variables (application, session, client, form, url, etc...) how do you manage this in Flex/Flashbuilder?
Are there forums or groups specifically for using Flex3/Flashbuilder with backend server side technologies such as Cold Fusion?.
The only server side technology that I have interest in is Cold Fusion. I've seen basic tutorials and videos using Cold Fusion CFC's and data binding with Flex. I haven't seen or heard anything using a Cold Fusion application, session, or client variable in Flex.
Hopefully some of you have some experience on this topic.

i too had this question some time ago. my entire app was built on CF with HTML before i started integrating Flex 3 with it. i found that i needed to create cookie variables for all my session variables i was using in order to maintain and remember who the user was in my CFC calls. i also found that after i compiled a flex app, i changed the .html to .cfm (the file that loads the compiled SWF file). by doing this i was able to pass CF session variables into the flex app and you can refer to these anywhere in Flex by using Application.application.parameters.{variable name here}
add the CF variable in the FlashVars line to pass it into Flex (see the last line of code). this will create a variable (in my case i'm passing session.employeenumber). then in your flex app you can reference it by using Application.application.parameters.emplid:

A little trick I learned (does Adobe really expect us to re-engineer how our apps have been working by no longer using sessions for Flex?). Then in your CFCs if you also create cookies for every session variable you can maintain the variables based on user login. HOPE THIS HELPS!

Adobe application manager won't open

I just subscribed to Adobe Cloud CC , but my download won't work because Adobe application Manager won't launch.
Any suggestions ?

The Adobe Application Manager is normally started from Photoshop menu Help>Updates. Is this what you referring to or are you referring to the Creative Cloud desktop application?

Report Application Server won't start. CCM always says Starting....

I am complete newbie to doing admin for Crystal Servers, forgive the question:
(Win Server 2003 r 2 / CR XI)
Report Application Server won't start which is preventing other servers from starting in CCM.
Reboot machine several times and still having the issue.
Get an error msg in Windows before login window appears stating that the crystalras.exe application requested a runtime to terminiate in an unusual way (.Net error).
I get the following error msg in my event viewer.

We installed some Windows Server Updates about 3 months ago (at the time, over 70 Windows updates were installed) but, this problem hasn't shown up until 2 or 3 weeks ago. I think a .Net Service Pack might have been part of the updates at that time. When we did the updates, Windows was shutdown and updates installed per the preferred option of Windows. But now when rebooting since that time, the server continually reccomends the install updates and shutdown option. Do we need to rollback the server to date prior those updates if possible?
I have also uninstalled .Net Framework back to 2.0. Is 1.0 or 1.1 the max that will work with XI?
Should I also try to uninstall all other Windows updates?
