Application View - Dynamic

The application views in the context of using as Service in DBMS Adapter, have static
SQL definitions including the where clause.
At runtime, the input schema data is filled in.
This technique wont work for dynamic queries in which case, the where clause is filled
dynamically based on which input parameters the data was entered - typical case is
a parametric search from web.
Is it possible to implement this using Application Views ?

Is it possible to implement this using Application Views ?Yes, you will need to redefine the application view interaction such that the
schema of the document it expects supports parameters such as you describe. How
much you do in the workflow and how much you do in the adapter is up to you, it
may be you pass the entire SQL statement from the workflow or perhaps just a
query type and some parameters. Not being familiar with the DBMS adapter its
hard to say where the changes need to be made but InteractionImpl is a good
place to start as this is where the workflow meets the adapter.

WDA Embedding a view dynamically on an other view

Hi gurus,
I'm developing my first serious wda application, it has several views (esp_view1...10) that must be embedded at runtime on a view (com_view) on the main window, that has embedded at design time two views: com_view and an other (not relevant for my question).
I have defined a global variable in the controller esp_view type string that (depending on certain conditions) contains the name (esp_view1...10) that I want to embed on com_view.
I've readed several threads in the forum, several manuals that show how embed views dynamically on a window (not on an other view), and after seeing several samples I've tried using do_dynamic_navigation, but I'm incapable to do it (may be I don't understand still component usages??).
There is something that I'm forgetting??

hi,
You can proceed this way :
1. Make 10 ViewContainter in your view_common i.e Place ViewContaier UI element in your common view.
2. Embed those views (V1-- V10) into these containers. For that Go to Windows, and inside windows you will find your View Containers. Drag and Drop your views under your component into the Windows.
3. Now make Outbound plugs in your Views(V1-- V10) and 10diff Inbound plugs in your Common View.
4.Create navigation link between outbound n inbound views.
5. For that , Go to windows and drag n drop outbound plug to inbound plug.
6.Now at run time you can fire the outbound plug of any View(V1--V10) whichever you want.
7. For firing a plug , you can use Code Wizard(control + F7).
Depending on your condition , fire plug using :
wd_this->fire_out_view1_plg( ). here out_view1 is outbound plug of View1.

How to populate list in tree view dynamically

Hi,
I am new to Indesign Plugin creation.
I want to create list in tree view dynamically.
I tried wlistboxcomposite sdk sample in indesign cs4.
I have some doubts in this.
1. Can i write my own method in WLBCmpTreeViewAdapter class because it's implements ListTreeViewAdapter
If it's possible how can i call this method.
2. In this example they populating static string in constructor like this

The TreeViewAdaptor is responsible for mapping your custom data to the tree view itself. I almost always start by making it return some fixed number of objects with names "item 1" etc. That way you get the tree view working first.
Then, after you get it laid out and displaying properly, you can worry about using real data. At that point, you have your adaptor return the actual number of items in your list and each individual item. Then you can populate your list when you push your button and then invalidate the IControlView of the tree view widget to cause it to redraw. At that point your adaptor will get called and your data should appear.

A problem when I try to create a application view throug a Bea MQSeries Adapter8.1

          Hi, guys!
          I have installed Weblogic platform 8.1 beta, and try to use the MQSeries Adapter
          which provide by Bea weblogic, and it's seems I must deploy the .ear file which
          is an application include the MQ Adapter, on a domain which provide the Integration
          function, the ear file I was download from bea site. So I deploy it in the samples/domain/platform
          domain as the docs told me. And after that I create a new directory called session
          and a subdirectory contain a manifest.xml file, I do this also due to the docs
          provide by Bea. And then I can create the application view in the application
          view console, BUT, when I try to add a Event in the console, the page and OS console
          both print this message :

Anyone knows how to create a view dynamically and embed the view into an existing view container?
My layout looks like this:
I have an existing view named main_view.
Inside main_view, I create a view ui container named vcu_view.
I embed the main_view into my window.
I need the codes to create a view dynamically and embed the view into the view container. Anyone have any idea?

i think we cannot create a new view dynamically because it is a webdynpro restriction ..

Use of an application view for SAP R/3

Diagnosis
Currently no application component hierarchy ("APCO_MERGED", database table RODSAPPL and RODSAPPLT) exists in the system. This is required in BW so that the DataSources can be displayed correctly in the source system tree.
Procedure
Copy the application component hierarchy from the Content using transaction RSA9.
In development system I went to RSA9 & transferred the application componet then its asks or pkg name I have given the pkg name also before use the datasrcs , I have transported the same thing to production before transporting the datasrcs but in production the application component herarachy did not get transported I think that why its giving the msg No valid application component hierarchy exists but my datasrcs got transported ,pls suggest me what has to be done
Should I import the same request in to production again
Or shall I run rsa9 again & transfer the application component hierarchy again & transport it to production id I do this will already transported datarscs have any effect in production

Import / export of Application view and Data Form

Hi,
I'd like to know if it's possible to backup or export Applications View in EPMA and Data Form in a Planning Application between the test and production machine.
Can anyone help me?

I’ve used the EPMA File Generator that you sent me both under a test virtual machine and our test machine, but always I’ve the same problem (deploy aborted on 0%), that I’ve pasted up in this tread, and I’ve note that after the exporting with the EPMA File Generator, the original application view not deploys with the followed message:

What projects are being filtered into "Project" application view? I ask you this because instead into "Last used Projects" view i see all the project created. Both views are standard.

I've created a new datasource for this app, but still faced the same problem.
PS: I also found some error when validate the SampAp application view, so I've changed it a little. I don't know if the application view design may cause this problem. Thanks for your reply.

From another post which I think relates to same sort of issue the solution was :-
On your server > Change your "Standards and formats" into English(United States) in "Regional and Language Options".
This was due to the currency format being in chinese.

Application View Deigner GUI and File Adapter

I am currently experiencing a problem with the Application View Designer GUI
tool. When I tried to edit an user-defined application view or the
associated Connection Factory for the File Adapter using the GUI tool, I got
an "Unsupported Adapter Type" error message -Adapter BEA_FS_ADAPTER doe not
support GUI-based configuration - please see attachment "error1.jpg" for the
screen capture. This Event associated with this application view is
currently functioning properly. It just seems that I am no longer able to
make any change to the current configuration (I had successfully made the
similar edits before without any problems).
When the above problem occurred, I then tried to create a new application
view based on the File Adapter, I got and "UnsupportedAdapterException"
error-please see attachement "error2.jpg" for the screen capture.
Has anyone encountered the similar errors before? Insight or thoughts?
Perhaps it was due to corruption of certain files or database? Any
information will be greatly appreciated!

1.Status: TO_BE_DELIVERED
Which means that the message was successfully delivered from Integration Server point of view and it states that the messages is initially handed over to the Messaging System.
TO_BE_DELIVERED occurs while the message is put into the Messaging System receive queue.

Application Viewer Deployment Problem - War File Path Error

Hello all!
I just installed a new CC&B demo environment (2.2SP6 on Apache/Windows) and the application viewer is not working at all. The first thing it does is throw a bunch of errors, such as
source file does not exist data/tables/updated.xml
source file does not exist data/maintobj/updated.xml
source file does not exist data/alg/updated.xml
source file does not exist data/batchContro/updated.xml
Then the App Viewer shows the following:
Data Dictionary Not built - submit F1-AVTBL
Maint. Object Not built - submit F1-AVMO
Algorithm Not built - submit F1-AVALG
Batch Control Not built - submit F1-AVBT
To Do Type Not built - submit F1-AVTD
Service XML Built 2008-04-14 (15:40)
Java Docs Built 2008-04-16 (08:43)
Cobol Source Built 2008-04-14 (10:22)
Manually submitting one of those throws this error:
File path to WAR file and location to expand WAR file are required if Use War File is switched.
Anyone seen anything like this?

That worked! Thank you so much. App viewer loads now and all the F1-* items show as built. Only problem now is all the CM xml files seem to be missing. Every time you click something in app viewer it throws an error such as:
Source file does not exist data/maintobj/ENG/CM/ext_BATCHCNTL.xml
This is just one of them. There are many, and they all exist in that same CM directory... which doesnt exist haha
