Apply and delete buttons need differentiation

How do we get the apply and delete buttons put in different locations on the info window for ical? I've accidentally deleted when I meant apply because the buttons are in the same location. Mabye delete should be at the top right.

In the meantime, don't forget about the iCal>Edit>Undo menu command (⌘Z).

But the problems what I couldnt sort out are;
1- If any error happens in doSubmit(); (can be any DB error by triggers etc.) I cannot show the error. Does anybody know to check whether doSubmit() returned an error or not...
2- Delete button shows the confirmation dialog box but when I confirm to delete I got an error show below;
" Checksum error for Hidden and Protected item ID (1737324593811176), value (DELETE), posted checksum (D636C53A8C84A57A1BBB04A61B600C4A), expected checksum (********************************), index_i (9), index_j (5), index_m (7); "
Can you please tell me how to sort this problems or can anybody know that there's another ways to do these things?

Hi Varad,
We need to have custom buttons for save etc because there are some parameters must be transferred between screens. Let me explain it like this;
Normally when you enter the IR screen, we set a couple of hidden items' values. (such as P_CALLFROM, P_CALLTYPE, etc...)
and then user goes into a record to edit or insert.
When user saves the record by pressing standard Apex "Apply Changes" button, page will go back to IR page but we loose the parameter which we assigned before...
That's why I need to have a custom save, delete etc buttons...
So, if I need to create a custom process, Do I need to collect all the filed values from the page by myself?

The reuqirement is this:
A user attaches doucments ( using the Generic Object Services to attach document ) while creating/changing Purchase Requisition (ME51N / ME52N).
Now when any user goes to see the docuemnts attached to the PR, he selects the 'Attachement List' from the context menu, he should only be able to read it and should not be allowed to change or delete the document. For this we need to disable the 'change' and 'delete' buttons from the toolbar.

Probably you have uncommented the call to super class when you reimplement the method on child class (z class)
I just implement the same thing now and it worked for me. Take a look:
1 - Modify the SGOSATTR table by SM30, just write a Z class (in my case CL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_CREATE) .
2 - Create/inheridt a subclass (not a copy) in SE24 of the standard class.
3 - Implement the method CHECK_STATUS in the z class. Note that the call to method on super class came commented. You only uncomment if you want to also execute a standard code in the super class.
Here is my code:

NOTE - In my real implementation I have uncommented the code below because I want do standard code be executed before my own check.

I have solved the issue Alhamdulillah by the foll. method:
1. Copied CL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST to ZCL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST
2. In ZCL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST there is a method called: CHECK_STATUS. I overwrote with my check;
on_mode_changed( 'D' ). --- For display
on_mode_changed( 'E' ). --- For edit mode.
3. In SGOS tcode, added VIEW_ATTA to point to ZCL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST

I had the same problem. I completely powered down the iphone and then powered it back up. I then had the bar at the bottom of the email app that I think you are looking for.

Need different processes for Update and Delete buttons

I'm using a customized version of the Issue Tracker sample application. I've added a table called project_person(project_id,person_id) so that a project can have multiple people assigned to it and so that one person can have multiple projects. I have a form report that lists all of the projects with an edit link which opens one project. On the individual project page, there are page items for each of the columns in the project table and a item for the person assigned to the project--this item is pulled from the separate project_person table. I have two buttons--Delete and Apply Changes. If you click on Apply Changes, the project table should be updated and then the project_person table if the assignment was changed. If you click on Delete, it should delete the project_person record first and then delete the project record. I created a new conditional pl/sql process that updated two tables if 'Apply Changes' button is cliicked. I then created a separate conditional process when the Delete button is clicked. This conditional process checks to see if a record in the project_person table exists, and if so, delete the record. Then delete the project record.
The update process works fine. The delete process reloads the list of projects with a success message at the top without actually doing a delete and I have no idea why. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I am not using the automatic row processing, but should I? Or is it ok to have the two separate conditions for the two different buttons?

Check the "Sequence Number" for your processes. Typically, APEX will increment by 10, each time you create a Page Process as I recall. You can set this to be any number you want; even if you duplicate the sequence number (ie: you can have multiple Sequence 10 processes).
Make sure that your Delete process is firing properly and walk through the logic in the source code to be sure that any "IF" or "WHERE" logic is satisfied. For example:

where 1=2;
End;If this was your page process code - you would receive a SUCCESS message because the PL/SQL code executed successfully, even though nothing will be deleted since 1 will NEVER equal 2.
So, check Delete Source carefully.

There is an option when creating a QBE to add update and delete
links which i find quite useful, but this option doesn't seem to
be possible on a Report from SQL Query. Do i need to do
something special to add them? is the option located in a
different place?

You can only add Update ,Delete in QBE Reports,
there is no option in Portal which can be used to
have these buttons in the Reports from Query Wizard or
Report from SQL Query.

I have requirement to create custom assignment block with custom table (value node), and add two button "Insert" and "Delete" on that AB.
I have created the custom AB and button in "DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT" method.
I need to create event handler for EH_ONINSERT and EH_ONDELETE, once the user click on "Insert" button one row editible row should append on AB and similar way if user select any row in AB and click on delete button entry should be deleted from AB.
And i need "SAVE" button on top on overview page so entry should get saved in table.

BBPSC04 desabling the conformation and delete buttons?

Hi,
when we access Tcode BBPSC04 (Shopping cart status)
after displaying the items, is there any way we can disable the confirmation(TURCK icon ) and Delete Icons for some of the GUIDs(based on some logic).
Which BADI I can use for this?
1. BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI - this BADI is not triggering when we display the any particular item (its 2 late - so not good)
2. BBP_AUTHORITY_CHECK - I tried this also but when we click on Truck icon(conformation) its not getting GUID value in to BADI, so I dont think I can use this.
3. I tried BBP_CUF_BADI - but this one does not pulling any GUID values so I cant use this.
4.BBP_CUF_BADI_2 - this is not triggering any time in that transaction
Please let me know if any idea.

In Earthlink Webmail, the "check all" and "delete" button for deleting multiple messages no longer function (although they work in I explorer).

When using the webmail application for earthlink email, the "check all" option to select an entire page of messages at once no longer functions. Same problem with the "delete" buttons that are located at the top and bottom of the page with multiple messages. Consequently, the only way to delete a message is to open the message and delete it in that view -- extremely tedious if there are a lot of messages.
This is a recent change, in the last few days. Everything works fine in I explorer. Earthlink support suggested I start Firefox in safe mode and restore firefox default settings. I went through the process on the help page. It didn't help.
I'll provide the earthlink link, but it is my email page that is the problem.

- click the move button
- list of folders appears (witn account & cancel options that both still work)
- click on a folder
- mail flies to this folder (animated)
- list of folders remains visible
- the cancel button does NOT work
- the accounts button takes you back to the root "directory" of your accounts
- in my case "live" and "exchange"
- this screen is a dead end. Clicking on both the account names and the cancel button do not work
A complete restart fixes the problem

PO 'Complete' and 'Delete' buttons behaviorin SRM 5.0 , Extende classic

My understanding of how these buttons work in SRM 5.0 ECS is as follows.
If anybody has any input or want to correct me based on your experience of these buttons feel free to throw your input
Delete button
1) Will be enabled when the PO is in 'Held' status and no follow-on documents exist
2) Once PO is deleted, no changes can be made to the PO and no cofirmations or invoices can be created against this PO
Complete button
1) When clicked, the system status changes to 'Transaction completed'. Cannot change the PO but can confirm goods receipt and process invoice against the PO (Is this true?)
2) Complete button will be active after a PO is created
3) Any situations where the button will be disabled?

If you are in EBP 4.0,see this note Note 710827 - EBP 4.0 When creating a new PO, status is 'Error in Process'
If scenario is ECS, you maybe have an RFC communication issue (network ?...) else check is bbp_get_status_2 is having error (ST22...) in both systems.
If EBP PO status is not correctly updated, delete button is disable. Also Please look at transaction RZ20 in B2B procurement monitor what kind of error do you have.

Err-1016 and delete button

Hi all,
I'm following the "2 day HTML db developer" guide and I've come across a problem.
Following all the steps of the "issue tracking app" I have created a form for insert/updating/deleting issues. Here the form contains a hidden item for navigating back to the original page that made the call.
Well this thing works fine when creating and saving issues also when cancelliing the action, but when deleting an issue I get the following error:
"Error ERR-1016 Application "XXXX" Page "0" not found (requested language="en-gb ")"
The record is deleted but the navigation cannot be completed.
Obviuosly there's no page 0. The uncondicional branch that navigates to the page stored by P7_PREV_PAGE doesn't work when deleting.
Any help/ideas?

I have now created a shared application item and everything works fine now.
There's something I don't understand:
- Why the wizard created the reset page process and associated it to the delete button and not to the create/create again buttons too?
- Is it necessary this reset page process?
And my last doubt, is it better to reset individual items on the page level or to create a navigation item on the application level?

power on/off
reset
restore
if those dont work, would probably be a good time to contact apple to get it looked at (in store, if you are near one, or by phone).
