Applying css to an image

Please check out
http://www.jacqconnect.us/jacqplay/2011/04spotlight.htm.
I applied the class style ImageNoBorder to the "how can Jacq" image, but -- golly gee -- there's still a border. Ideas?
Thanks!

Once you get that worked out, you probably will want to fix the typo:
WEBSITE HOSING in the navigation bar.

  • How to apply CSS to a BC menu

    Hi there,
    I have done a lot of reading, gone to BC gurus, looked at Liam's post on Web Menu V2and I am still stumped on this one. The BC gurus tutorial and Liams' item were way above my head.
    How do you apply CSS you have written to a BC menu?
    I have set up a BC menu and put items in it. The menu type is CSS (HTML) Only
    The menu items have a name, a page link Item Height of 30 and .menuLeft in the Item CSS Class Name
    The template the menu is on is responsive and linked to a stylesheet with the CSS code below in it.
    The menu is completely unaffected by the CSS in the stylesheet. All menu items have a dot in front of them, and look like the default link style for the site.
    So the CSS below is not having any affect on the menu items. Why is this?
    What basic, simple step have I missed here?
    How do I get the menu in BC to notice the CSS below?
    I have also tried making the CSS into an id #menuLeft and putting that into the Item ID Name field in each menu item. The CSS is still completely ignored. Why? (anguished cry)
    .menuLeft {
              list-style-type: none;
    .menuLeft ul{
              list-style-type: none;
              padding: 5px;
              margin: 0px;
              line-height: 30px;
              border: thin solid #CCCCCC;
              border-radius: 3px;
              text-decoration: none;
    .menuLeft li a:link {
              color: #3F823D;
              text-decoration: none;
    .menuLeft li a:visited {
              text-decoration: none;
              color: #999999;
              background-color: #B9E09A;
    .menuLeft li a:hover {
              color: #999999;
              text-decoration: underline;
              background-color: #B9E09A;
    .menuLeft li a:active {
              color: #999999;
              text-decoration: none;
              background-color: #B9E09A;

    Hi Liam,
    The class is definitely .menuLeft and that is what is showing in the code. However, for the menu, only the line height set in the backend of BC is showing. All other styling in the CSS is ignored. By the way I have to have two CSS stylesheets as this is a responsive design using CCDW. You have to use a separate stylesheet to style body, links, headers and other items. I have done this in eternityfonts.css which is where the styling for the menu is. The webpage is using all other instructions from the eternityfonts.css file, including headers, links etc, but it is ignoring the menu styling.
    TEST PAGE SHOWING THE MENU NOT WORKING
    Here is the test page where I am trying to style the menu. http://eternitycosmetics.businesscatalyst.com/test
    It is linked to these stylesheets:
    <link href="/StyleSheets/ModuleStyleSheets.css" type="text/css" rel="StyleSheet" /> BC standard stylesheet with all sites
    <link href="../boilerplate.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> DW CC stylesheet that comes with fluid design
    <link href="/stylesheets/eternity4.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> DW CC stylesheet that accompanies the fluid design - the fluid design will break if I edit this stylesheet manually
    <link href="/stylesheets/eternityfonts.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> stylesheet containing body bground, header, a link and other manual styles for the site. I can edit this stylesheet manually
    CODE RENDERING ON THE PAGE
    Here is the code on the page for the menu in question when I do view source. It appears to be ignoring the .menuLeft code in eternityfonts.css and just looks at the setup in the BC menu.

  • Applying css rule to column in a html table?

    Im trying to get variable images to be resized with in a table, in one column, to have a standard size on display. Ive googe'd just about every thing i can think of to try find an answer. Being newb to dreamweaver i might not know the correct wording, relating to what im trying to achive.
    So if someone could help, would be great .
    Also, would a spry data set display the images acording to the css rule?
    edit: from what ivé gathered, do I just give the column a col id and the apply the css rule? If so where would the id fit into the column code?
    <tr>
        <th width="100" scope="col">example</th
    </tr>

    Im trying to get variable images to be resized with in a table, in one column, to have a standard size on display.
    You should crop, resize and save images for the web in your graphics editor first.  If you have many images, use batch commands or actions to apply resizing to all images in a folder. Then insert images into table cells.

  • I am using Dreamweaver cc 2014 and after applying css styles to my fluid grid layout I lose the resize, delete, duplicate and move up/ down ability.

    I am using Dreamweaver cc 2014 and after applying css styles to my fluid grid layout I lose the resize,delete, duplicate an move up/ down ability.
    For this reason I cannot build new pages by copying one page to create another.
    I have a third style sheet that I use for the navigation styles  and h1 -h6 ect. tags. and I am also using a css drop menu, can one of these be the problem?
    The css menu I am using has the following script - I goes at the bottom of the html page. Before the closing body tag,
    <script>
    $(function () {
      $("#nav").tinyNav();
    </script>
    I am also using the following for image control - I place it towards the top of the fluid
    grid style sheet.
        box-sizing: border-box; /* Opera/IE 8+ */
        -moz-box-sizing: border-box; /* Firefox, other Gecko */
        -webkit-box-sizing: border-box; /* Safari/Chrome, other WebKit */
    Can some one please help.

    I am using Dreamweaver cc 2014 and after applying css styles to my fluid grid layout I lose the resize,delete, duplicate an move up/ down ability.
    This implies there is something broken in your FluidGrid Layout CSS file.   It  could be something simple like a missing semi-colon or curly bracket.   Run your code through the W3C validation tools below to check for errors.  NOTE:  ignore reported errors in boilerplate.css

  • Apply CSS to Flash Movie?

    If I want to apply a class to a flash movie, where do I place
    it in order
    for it to listen?
    Here's my code:
    <div id="header">
    <p id="flash">

    value="/clients/affusion/webs/assets/affusionconsulting.swf"
    />
    </object> </p>
    </div>
    Here's the simple css:
    #flash {
    height: 214px;
    margin: 0 21px 0 15px;
    background: url(/clients/affusion/webs/images/headerbg.gif)

    .movie { padding-top: 9px;}

  • Applying changes to multiple images . . .

    i'm relatively new to macs but i've been using aperture comfortably for the past few months.
    having just returned from a long photography trip and upgrading aperture to 1.5.1, i'm finding that i am unable to apply changes to multiple images like i used to, such as: selecting multiple images to rotate or selecting multiple images to apply the "stamp."
    when i try to "shift-select" multiple images, the change i'm trying to apply affects only the last image clicked-on in the "shift-select" grouping. does that make sense?
    has anyone else encountered this?

    You most likely have the Primary Only option turned on. Turn off that option in the Control Bar.

  • Applying keywords to multiple images

    How do I do this? I can toggle primary only with the keyboard 's', menu or button, but the keywords still only get applied to the primary image, not the selected images.
    Any ideas?

    You can find the solution at:

  • Metadata changes not applied to all selected images

    I am having 2 problems.
    When I am in lightroom's library (3.5), I would like to change the time of capture for multiple photos, and apply keywords.
    However, when I perform either of those actions, the changes are only applied to the image shown in the "more brightly highlighted" image, not all that are selected.
    Is there a setting I am missing?  I just cannot seem to figure out why this is not working.
    Also, I aplogize if my searching skills are weak and this has been covered already.  I did attempt to see if this question has been answered before posting.
    Thanks.

    You need to be in Grid view to apply metadata to all selected images, otherwise LR will only apply it to the image shown in the main area. Alternatively, you can swith on AutoSync in Library.

  • Css problem with image

    Hello,
    I am just starting working with dreamweaver cc for 3 months and try to create a website.
    I try to learn step by step CSS uses but since some weeks  I have some problems in displaying figure and caption into this page.
    It seems very easy when I look for other websites
    http://analytics-consulting-v501.businesscatalyst.com/laboratoire_test_2.html
    I try to have two images and their captions on the same line. and so on , line after line.
    and then isotope to filter them using the criteria in the first line.
    Of course, I have test many ways but without success... probably due to a lack of work with CSS.
    Thank you very much for any help !!!
    Jean-François

    I have removed all of your CSS to show images and associated caption being placed in a document.

  • FAQ: When I apply edits to an image using Revel, does it save a new file or just the edits?

    Q. When I apply edits to an image using Revel, does it save a new file or just the edits?
    A. Revel cloud keeps a copy of your full resolution originals. Edits in  revel are non-destructive, so your original is always preserved (unedited). When you export photo (MAC) Save to Camera Roll (iOS), that's when Revel applies your edits. On iOS the preview is used. on MAC the full resolution of the original is used to generate the new edited photo.

    Thanks kumars ,
    I have a specific drag and drop area on our website. This works fine for all earlier releases of Firefox after these security settings
    "(1) Enter "about:config" in the URL field; (2) Right click and select New->Boolean; (3) Enter "signed.applets.codebase_principal_support" (without the quotes) as a new preference name; (4) Click OK and try loading the file again."
    Bust these settings not work for me in Firefox 17.
    Yes the drag and drop functionality is java script based and i am not using any script blocker addons.

  • Can you make the "Apply CSS Class" part of the editor bigger?

    Hi there...
    Just wondering - is it possible to make the "Apply CSS Class" editor window larger... It's TINY. (about 200px Square)
    As a result I can't see many of the classes...

    Hi Liam, I think i did what you said, only the changes don't appear?
    Am I missing something?

  • Applying labels to all images in a stack

    A long time ago, when I was using Photoshop Elelments I found a plug-in that made it possible to work with stacks as a unit.
    If I labeled the top image in the stack that lable was applied to all the images in the stack; then when I sorted the images, the stack remained in tact; instead of just the top image, with the label showing up. I could also label the top image in a stack with flaga and, for example quickly delete all the image with an "X". Oterwise is seems the only option is to open each stack, by Ctrl-clicking the number in the upper left corner, that opens the stack; with all the images selected, then click the star lables I want to apply to all the images in the stack.
    I don't remember where I found that plug-in.  I'm hoping the guy who wrote it; and all I can remember about him is that he was from England, has written a version for Lr?

    Your the man!  Thanks so much.  I bracket all my shots and load them into the  HDR editor in Ps; my workflow will go so much smoother now.

  • Dynamically applied css is ignored

    Hello,
    I have come up against a recurring problem when using edge; when I try to apply css through code (rather than through the UI and timeline), it seems to get ignored if I have designed a value into that element's base state. I think I must be missing something, as this functionality is so basic to things like giving user feedback on button clicks.
    Case in point: I have a symbol "bigButton" on the stage. bigButton contains three divs(Easy, Medium and Hard) of different colours, each with a border. To target one of these, and test I'm getting the right element, I do the following:
    var theButton = sym.getSymbol("bigButton");
    var easyBtn = theButton.$("Easy");
    easyBtn.css("border", "3px solid red");
    No red border is applied, but developer tools reveal that I am targeting the correct element. I did a similar test in another document, with shapes that i had not applied a border to, and this time the red border appeared. If anyone has any suggestions or workarounds I would love to know.
    Many thanks,
    Tim

    Try:
    sym.getSymbol("bigButton").$("Easy").css({"border": "3px solid red"});
    Which is simpler. Also, in your button you mention 3 divs. I suppose you should hide the other divs.
    Now another simple way would be to have 3 labels in your button for each state and stop at these states as needed. You can hide and show each div as necessary for exemple state1 show the red border, state 2 something else... Then play each state with a stop at the label.
    sym.getSymbol("bigButton").stop('state1');
    Etc...

  • Can we apply css or skinning on PanelGrouplayout scrollbar in adf

    Can we apply css or skinning on PanelGrouplayout scrollbar in adf

    The CSS does not learn any cookie or url string.
    It only does a hash of the value and send the same hash to the same server.
    The problem is that since we do not learn anything from the server response, there is no guarantee that the first request (which does not contain the url stiky info) and the subsequent requests (which do contain the sticky info) will go to the same server.
    In other words, the first request for "www.mysite.com/" goes to server A because the CSS didn't see any sticky info and just did some random loadbalancing.  The response from the server contains links with www.mysite.com/....sticky_info.....
    This time the request contains the sticky info, we do hash a decide this hash is associated to server B.
    ll requests from this client will now be sent to serverB...unfortunately this is not the same as the initial server.
    There is nothing you can do about this.
    The best way to do stickyness on the css for http traffic is arrowpoint cookie.
    Gilles.
