Approvers inside the form in HRAS

Hi,
We are working on couple of forms in HR AS and as per the standard functionality the apporvers list will be displayed on the webdynpro screen. After completing the process, form will be archived so customer want all the approval details inside the form for future reference.
We can provide the approval list under Previous comments/New comments section. But these fields are not mandatory and the approver may or may not enter his comments.
Is there anyway to achieve the required functionality.

When you submit, the whole form is submitted. thats why you are getting alerts like that.
you can use HTML frames to avoid these. but it is not possible to have frames inside a form. you have to have forms inside a frame. submit that particular frame's form so that only that part will be refreshed with messages/alerts.
the otherway is paint the screen as it was earlier just change the inner jsp content. its seems you are getting only alerts cos the information is same.

If there is a problem with defining it globaly, you can define a field symbol globably and point to it. For example. It would probably be better to define your table globably.

How to Show the Alerts inside the Form in JSP?

Hello
I am having parent form inside that thru one of the links,opening
a small another JSP. Inside the small another JSP, i am validating
the Screen and giving alerts. While Validating, the Alerts are coming
outside the small another JSP and appearing in the Parent Big Page.
I want the alert to appear in the small Another JSP. What to do?

How do I change font inside the Form's text fields

I went through tutorials on lynda.com and succesfuly layed out my form.
However I can not figure out how to make a change from a default Times Roman in the forms fields to a different typeface.
I assigned object styles, followed by paragraph styles but nothing happens. I also can not change font color inside the text fields.
Anyone knows how to change these attributes?

There are literally hundreds and thousands of improvements or changes that could be made to InDesign.

Can I disable Item object inside the Form

I have a couple Item derived objects inside Form. I don't want all of them to be selectable. Is there anyway I can do that - I don't seem to be able to find a correct API.

I create a forms and tables relationship inside the Form Developer 11g, once I created the Data relationships between the form data field and the Table column name. I don't have any command to print it out, such as Layout Wizard.

How can i find out the Location of fmx file in the forms

I want to find out the drive name,WHich Contains Fmx file. How can i find it out(at run time) .
It should be found inside the form.So that i can pass it as a parameter to a Procedure.

How to use Direct Access URL in the FORM tag

I want to substitute the pageid url (/servlet/page?_pageid=161&_dad=portal30&_schema=PORTAL30) with the direct access urls (pls/portal30/url/page/my_page) to address the pageid conflict between development server and production server.
It works perfectly fine in the redirection code such as:
self.location.href="/pls/portal30/url/page/next_page". But I got "Page can not be found" error message when I use it in the <FORM> tag:
<FORM ACTION="/pls/portal30/url/page/next_page" METHOD="POST" NAME="my_form">
Does anyone out there know how to use the direct access url inside the <FORM> tag? I am trying not to write a bunch of code just to retrieve and insert the pageid at the run time.

Use condition. If you are validating a record, just out the desired check in the condition field for that specific item.

How to Display a image from WebCam in the Forms 10.1.2.0.2!

Hi Friends!
I'm using a Forms 10.1.2.0.2 and i need to display of someway a image from webcam in some item inside the Forms!
This is possible?
I saw an explanation in http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/89431/67467/ but it works only for a Forms 6.0!
Somebody can Help me?

As Jan mentioned, there is no way to display webcam video in Forms unless you create a Java Bean which can be incorporated into your form. As Pauli mentioned, if your webcam software is viewable via a browser, you can use WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT to display a browser window with the content, however you will not be able to put this content in the form using the method.
A good starting place would be Google. Look for a java bean or applet which can operate a web cam.

9i forms/sso - at runtime can I display the current oid user on the form

Hi ,
Is it possible programically retrieve the current oid user name so that I can display this name on the form at run time.
I am also wanting to use the oid user name as a parameter to call a stored procedure inside the form,
is there a built-in to do this ?

Accessing the FORM tag with Javascript.

I ran into the following problem when writing the customization portion of a Java portlet.
I have some JavaScript that I would like to have run when the customization form is submitted (ie, when the user clicks OK or APPLY).
Normally, this is easy to do by specifying the 'onSubmit' event on the <FORM> tag. But I don't seem to have access to the FORM tag
since it's being generated on the fly by Oracle Portal.
So, how do I set up my code/portlet so that I can have some Javascript executed due to the onSubmit event?

I may not be understanding the problem correctly so you may have already tried this:
You should be able to dynamically adjust any form tag's attributes after the form's been generated, you just need to know how it's identified. If Portal isn't assigning it a consistant name you can use, you still might be able to adjust it. If you can place a piece of code "inside" the form, you could access the form tag with: "this.form.onSubmit = ..." That might be your best bet, but the "this" scope can be weird if I remember right. If you don't know that your code will always be inside the form tags, your other choice would be to write a function that will iterate over each form in the frameset and test for a input field name/value that you know is unique to your form. Then you'll be able to identify the form, and finally set the onSubmit value to whatever you want.
Here's some pseudo javascript (I'm too lazy to go grab my reference guide to refresh my memory about the actual syntax you'd use) that might get you started:

I need to display a web app search form, inside the detail view of another web app. Does anyone know

I can't seem to get a web app search form to work inside another web app detail page. Does anyone know if this is possible?
I can display a list of web app items; and the search form works on a standard page; but when I try to load it within another web app's detail page, I get an error: "page not found". This happens regarless of whether I put {module_searchresuts} on the same page as the form, or if I redirect results to another page.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Heya.. You currently can not do that within the detail view but it is possible to redirect the results to another page.
Simply replace this red portion:
action="/Default.aspx?SiteSearchID=50&PageID={module_oid}"
with:
ID=/results-page.html
...results-page.html being the page you want instead.

Bom item in adobe form will display inside the main item

hi gurus,
Currently i am displaying a print adobe form of order confirmation (va02) . but requirement is like i need to display Bills of Material item bit inside the main item level . for ex : there are total 50 line items in a sales order and for item no 20 , 30 and 40 are the Bom item in that sales order only.now rather to print all the items in a same level i need 30 and 40 will display bit inside in the form.....currently i am using table row in form......

Read values from Adobe Interactive Form inside the webdynpro

I have problems to read the values of the fields inside de adobe. I read an article on saptechincal that told:
You can see the Adobe form that we have designed, enter the data as shown below and press the submit button. (As I said earlier an activex control will be installed on to the client machine, you can see the activex control in the internet explore go to the menu: ToolsàInternet optionsàgo to the programs tab àPress button Manage add-ons.
You can see an activex control named u2018SAP ACFu2019, if you donu2019t have this control you will not see this page: Note you need to have adobe acrobat reader 7.1 installed, I have used version 9, the activex control was not working properly so down graded my adobe reader to 7.1)
This is true ??? I have the Acrobat reader 9.3 and i saw that also have the SAP ACF installed.
The value of the property displaytype on adobe interactive form on webdynpro is activeX or native.

I change the value of the attribute but again i can read anything from the adobe form. So let me explain what i'm doing.

Objective: I have to create one webdynpro with an adobe interactive form for create new clients on r/3 system.

1. I create de the view with 2 elements an interactive form and one submit button.

2. Create the context of the view with the following tree:

> context (node)

 > ADOBE_DATA (node)

 > Clients (from KNA1 table) (node)

 > KUNNR

 > LAND1

 > NAME1

 > ORTO1

 > TELF1

>PDF_SOURCE

3. Complementing the properties of the interactive form:
datasource = clients node of the context
displaytype = native
pdf_source = pdf_source attribute of the context
templatesource = name of the form

4. Create the form, and add the data source to the interface of the form

5. On the form bulider i add and subform on the hierarchy tab and the all the fields of the interface to the form and
automatically the value of the fields are binding.

6.Add a submit button from web dynpro native and add the event click to the button. Then i change the value of the layout type and save e activate the form and the interface

7. The next step is create an action for the button submit for the event "onSubmit". So i create the function and start coding this code:

DATA: adobe_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,

 client_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,

 client_element TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,

 client TYPE if_create_client=>element_clients.

*Get reference to the adobe_data node from the context

*Get element node

client_element = client_node->get_element( ).

*Get the values from the form

8. Then for finalize i add the view to the window and crate a web dynpro application and put one break point on the submit function event.

9. Activate and test the application and when the program try to add a reference to the element node always returning a null reference and the application dumped.

So please help with this situation i can't understand what is the mistake.

PS: Now i have installed the acrobat reader 7.0.8

Can not modify the layout for my Default Display Form, inside an issue tracking list. the form will be blank after adding the cusotm styles

I am working on an Issue Tracking list inside SharePoint 2013. but when a user clicks on an item , the description field will occupy only a small area of the page , while most of the page will be blank as follow:-
so using F12 Developer Tools on IE i detect the marckup for the Description field as follow:-
where it is mentioned that it have a Width=350, so i add a Script Editor web part to the displayform and i specify the following to expand the field from 350 to 1000:-

{width: 1000;
<style>
but the result is that the display form will display nothing when clicking on an item as follow:-
Of course if i remove the ScriptEditor web part the form will be shown again..
so can anyone advice from where i can force the default display item view to occupy the whole page size ? Thanks

Since width is mentioned in 'td' itself, so using styles we can't overwrite the width. For that you can implement javascript or jQuery code to set the width on td element.
