Apps with video out.

Is there a list of Apple and 3rd party apps that support video out on the iPad?

I know that all apps do not support video out. I am looking for a list of those that do. The issue is that I don't know all the file types I may want to show on a TV or through a computer project. There are some apps that allow playing flash video. Do any have video out capability? What about .mov format or jpeg format as slideshows? What about .xls files, .doc files, .PDF files?
The most valuable list would be one that has all the file formats that can be displayed from the IPad on an external TV, monitor, or projector and then a list of the apps that support that format.
also, I have the assorted to take video out to composite video and audio or to VGA video and Audio. If one works with a given app and file format, can I assume it willbwoknwith the other?
Thanks

  • Any GPS/NAVI apps with video out feature??

    Are there any GPS navigation apps out there for the iPhone that will work with the video out? My car stereo has an audio/video input, I have the a/v connector and I'd love to run a GPS app for navigation and display the NAVI video and audio on my head units audio input. I know that some dont support the video output feature, know of any that do?

    I just tested it on my Nokia N8 (Running Symbian Anna ) and Nokia Beta Labs latest version of the Camera application.
    I have set so capturing geolocation information is saved for video.
    I Record a video and as you say if you playback the video right away Choose Options -> Details  I get the GPS location shown.
    I  then go to Meny -> Photos
    Choose the Check button (bottom left)
    Then select the Video, then go to Options -> Details
    I also get the GPS coords under Location here.
    This location data is not shown if you show details under Meny -> Videos though..

  • Looking for an app that combines an equalizer with video out.

    I'm looking for an app that has video out (like "Upsize" or the iPod built-in photo slideshow) with an equalizer (preferably like "Denon Audio" or "EQ Pro" so that I can listen to equalized music through my TV. Upsize is close, as it allows for album art to be displayed on my TV while the music plays however, it does not control volume and you must use the iTunes equalizer before you start the app. My TV is the type that will not play audio without an accompanying video signal when using a component cable to connect my iPod to the TV inputs.

    Hi ron1098,
    Try my application Dates to iCal. it runs on the Mac, but you can sync the calendar to your iOS device.
    See more about Dates to iCal here. It is £4 shareware with a 2 week demo.
    Best wishes

  • Visual blurring with video out

    I am using the video out to a 22" CRT monitor and am seeing a lot of blurring. I use the same monitor all the time with my desktop PC and have no issues. But when I run it out from my Power Book I see all images repeated a few times, slightly to the right. Not sure the best way to describe it, but like little echoes of the image repeating to the right and fading. They are close, and only repeat a few times, but it makes for tough reading and difficult detail work for the fuzziness.
    Is there an easy solution for this? A hardware repair?
    I am using the converter that came with the Power Book (not a digital connection on the CRT).
    Thanks.

    I am still having this issue. Am I the only one? Any ideas for solutions? I have tried different resolutions, different refresh rates. The monitor is fine, it works great with my desktop. But when I switch to the G4 I get these repeated images. Each icon, line, letter, everything is repeated and fades away to the right of the original.
    Thanks for any thoughts here. It is very frustrating doing any kind of reading or detail work.

  • Can't run java apps with System.out.println on any builder.

    Hello,
    I'm currently using Vista RC2, which is the immediate problem.
    Classes with System.out.println won't launch the console window. As I'm a student and practicing on these steps, I do have quite a problem on my hands. I click on run, build succesfull, nothing happens.
    I have tried Netbeans and Jcreator, and gave up on trying different builds, as I reckon I'll have to find some other way to counter this; any way to get println messages working in vista?

    It is run as a desktop app, and other runs with commands such as JOptionPane do function, only the println windows don't appear at all. So I think JRE is installed and working.
    I did notice there was one command for input where I'd be able to enter it at the bottom of Netbeans.
    Like just now I clicked build and run for the following code
    import java.util.*;
    public class FirstProgram
        public static void main(String[] args)
            System.out.println("Hello out there.");
            System.out.println("I will add two numbers for you.");
            System.out.println("Enter two whole numbers on a line:");
            int n1, n2;
            Scanner keyboard = new Scanner(System.in);
            n1=keyboard.nextInt();
            n2=keyboard.nextInt();
            System.out.println("The sum of those two numbers is");
            System.out.println(n1+n2)
    }Resulting in a brief flash of "input" in the output window (which is below the coding window) and it dissapears. But this also occurs when I don't include system scanner code.
    Using commands in cmd
    java -jar "C:\Users\Alegis\Netb\MyApp\dist\MyApp.jar"
    Does not yield desired results either. Nothing happens.

  • Netflix App - no video out???

    Just bought the Apple component video cable for my iPod Touch (3rd gen) for the sole purpose of using it to stream Netflix to my TV... preloaded video plays just fine on the TV... it seems that the Netflix app doesn't send a video out signal... is this true???

    Should have read description before buying the cable... called Netflix and they said they doubted support for 3rd gen iPod Touch in the future for the video out feature... oh well

  • What's the deal with video out on iPhone 5?

  • Can't get Ipod classic to work with video out to TV

    I have 80gb IPOD classic,3rd gen. I bought the Dynex docking station w/video & audio out to TV kit. I have it hooked up exactly as they instuct. I also have my settings on IPOD to TV out enabled, NTSC, and captions on. But when I try and play a video, all I get is the "TV out enabled, connect video cable" message. It won't play. Is it possible my IPOD is defective? It is new. Any suggestions?

    Is it possible my IPOD is defective?
    Probably not, but it's more than likely that the docking station either isn't compatible with the Classic or the cables supplied with it aren't.
    Does it specifically say the Dynex is Classic compatible?

    1. If Side Switch is set to Mute, check to make sure it's not muted

  • Frozen image with video out to HDMI

    I have my iMac connected via an HDMI adaptor through a 10' HDMI cable into a Hi Def TV. It was working well but suddenly froze with an image that happened to be a photo from iPhoto. That image remains whenever the cable is connected into the TV. When the cable is disconnected, the image disappears.
    Any suggestions to diagnose this problem will be appreciated.

    *If your Display Preferences are set to Extended Desktop Mode (Mirroring Off) then it is possible to select and have a different Desktop background image for each Display.*
    Try this:
    *1. Go to: System Preferences and select Displays, then click on the Arrangement tab and look at the box for Mirror Displays, is it checked or unchecked?*
    a. If you want the displays to show the same image (Mirroring) then check the box.
    b. If you want to use the connected display for viewing different wIndows (Extended Desktop) then uncheck the box and go to step 2.
    *2. Go to: System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Savers and click on the Desktop tab.*
    a. Now you should see a Preference window on each Display which will allow you to select or change the image on each Display.

  • Problem with video out sporatically failing

    I have a 2G Touch and an iPod -> Composite Video cable hooked to my HD TV. I have sometimes been able to easily view video from my iPod but at other times I get "Device is not supported" error after which, no matter what I do, it refuses to work. How can a device work one time and not be supported the next?

    It's been hit and miss the whole time I've had it. I tried going into Settings but there is nothing there to make it work any better. I am looking at a new Samsung home theater system that has iPod support, and I hope I don't have the same kind of problem there as well.

  • Problems with video out after closing the lid.

    I bought a Mini-Display Port to HDMI and connected it to my macbook pro and to my tv....Everything is perfect i close the lid....Now i am pretty sure i read somewhere that you can still use your macbook if you have it connected to an external screen and even if the lid is closed...can anyone tell me if i have to do something in the preferences?or is it just normal...I am new with macs,just bought mine 1 1/2 months ago so please take it easy on me... :P Thanks

    You can use the MacBook Pro after you close the lid it's called 'Clamshell Mode' but for it to work correctly you have to attached a keyboard and mouse as well as the TV, then you can close the lid to put it to sleep then touch a key on the keyboard or move the mouse and it will wake up again and display on the screen.

  • Put ipad display to sleep with video out on

  • Help with video out

    is it possible to hook my MPB up to my tv using the ipod av cable? i would like to watch a movie from my computer on my tv. is there anything i can do to get this to work? thanks.

    Depends on your tv's inputs. The iPod cable will not work from your MBP. For video, you need either a DVI-to-HDMI cable (if your tv accepts HDMI input) or the Apple DVI-to-Video adapter to connect via S-video or composite (yellow RCA plug). For the audio you need a mini-stereo to RCA adapter.
    Hope this helps...

  • ITunes U app & video out?

    Does the iTunes U app support video out with the HDMI and VGA adapters?

    Greetings;
    I also experience "time out" issues with PSM and actually have experienced them since moving to PSM last Summer.  My experience has been that the content uploads successfully even though the session times out...but I can't edit any metadata until I log out and back in.
    All the best...
