Are different page layouts possible in a single smart form?

My SmartForm needs a header window and a main window (line item data will flow here) which will take 90% of page space. For each line item there is a note which need to display after all line items get displayed. There is a high chance that each note will be of 1 or 2 full A4 pages. That means, suppose my SmartForm takes 1 page to display 10 line items. Now for 10 items 10 full pages of notes need to display starting from page-2 up to page-11th. I want 2 type of page format it this case. 1st: with Header window and Main Window. 2nd: Header Window and Notes Window and in 2nd format maximum space will be for the Notes Window. If it is possible, then how?

    In the new Pages with Maverick I can't find a way to use a different page layout from a template than the two layouts in miniature by default. Have you found a way?

    The templates doesn't have several different pages layouts anymore, which they had in Pages 09. Pages 5.0 is a very strpied down Pages. You could say Pages very Lite should be the name.
    What you could try is open the old Pages 09 ( in the application folder > iWork 09 folder) the templates you like. Add the different page layouts in templates so they not are hidden. Save as a documents. Now open them in Pages 5.0 and save as templates.

    The BC order form needs to be on that page, But my question is why would you want to do that?
    That old concept of multistep page and page and page click through process makes the process longer and more fustrating for your users.

  • Using a page layout as the first page of a chapter/section- not possible?

    I have created about 20 or so different page layouts using the right-hand 'layout' menu, all was fine until i wanted to use one of these pages at the begining of a section - it wouldn't work. I can only select 'section' layouts, which I have only made a few of. Does this mean in order to have all my choices as the first page of a section/chapter I have to recreate all the page layouts as section/chpter layouts? is this even possible (as I tried to create a 'flow' text box on a chpter page and couldn't do it.)  Also, why do section and chapter layouts consist of two pages?

    The line spacing isn't exact by default. I presume you use Pages 08 or 09. In the Inspector > T tab > Line < Click on the small arrows to the right and choose Exactly

    We cannot change the Page Layout and Orientation dynamically in Adobe forms.
    To achieve this Create two forms with different layouts each.

  • How would I link different templates layout together

    I'm new here but not new to Dreamweaver. But having said that I never used the "save as template" for multiple page layout, if that's possible at all.
    The website I'm working on has 4 different page layout and I'm wondering if I can link the templates together so I don't have to go over each templates to make changes to the navigation as the site grows.
    The site will eventually end up with hundreds of pages using the 4 layouts and possibly more down the road. Hence the reason why I'm trying to find a way to link all the templates together.
    I'm using Dreamweaver cc and the site is html.
    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Nested Templates are bad news. There's no reason to use them.  Don't go down this slippery slope. In fact, there's no reason to use 4 Templates.  It unnecessarily complicates your site.  One template that contains  everything you need for your entire site is all that's required.  Learn to use "Optional Editable Regions" and embedded CSS code for page specific styles.  One Template makes your life so much easier .

    I am SharePoint 2013 developer. Before asking question I would like to explain the requirement in clarity.
    We are developing one O365 SharePoint online site which is having 10 different page layouts with different and some common webparts and we are reusing these page layouts by deploying a sandboxed solution which is having page layouts. These page layouts contain
    filter and query to display data using some condition and predefined values. By using these layouts we have to create 100+ pages. All pages will show data according to that page name and category (if it belongs any). We have not written any code to develop
    the site, everything is OOB feature.
    We have used below feature/list/lib of SP Online 2013:
    - Document Library
    - Survey
    - Calendar
    - Lists
    - Discussion forum library
    - OOB Search feature
    Now, I would like to know whether this is the right approach to reuse the page layouts. Or can we add webparts directly where the logic resides in the webparts and add them to the pages instead of page layouts?
    Also how to deploy page layouts/pages from one server to another? Currently we are deploying everything as a feature using sandbox solution. 
    Could you please let me know the right approach to follow. I am asking this question because we are facing below issues:
    - Sometime page layouts gets corrupted, showing nothing.
    - All written filters/logic disappear when we open layouts in Designer
    - Deployment is pain using Sandbox solution

    Interesting question, to which i do not know a definitive answer.
    Output Caching is used to increase performance and to reduce load on the box. However since you're in the MS Cloud you don't need to worry about the latter and MS do the worrying about the former. I wouldn't be surprised if MS have updated the behaviour
    for O365 and not updated the documentation. That first office.com article is using 2010 screenshots which doesn't fill me with confidence about it's continuing relevance. Don't forget that SharePoint 2013 and O365 are technically different versions and have
    very different behaviour in places.
    Generally i'd say not to worry, but in this case if you do find any more information i'd love to see it.

  • Duplicating page layout

    I created a series of reports using the import spreadsheet wizard. After modifying the content of the reports (SQL), I added another report that I developed by hand. The wizard added a top navigation bar, a breadcrumbs trail, and a sidebar with a list of the reports.
    I figured out how to add the top navigation bar and breadcrumbs, and how to add the new report to the sidebar, but I can't get the sidebar to show up properly on my page. I have tried to duplicate all the region settings and sequences, but the sidebar continues to show up below the report with white text on white background (ie invisible until hovered over), instead of white text on blue background to the left of the report.
    I have compared the settings in my page to the settings in the wizard-based reports page, but I can't seem to find the one I need to display the sidebar as desired. Any suggestions?

    Ok, I found the problem. For some reason, the two reports pages are using DIFFERENT page layout schemes, so I can duplicate the settings and it still won't show up correctly. The problem is in the original page design template, which somehow is being overriden/replaced in the page I created with one of a different design. I verified this by opening two reports pages in different windows, then viewing the Dsiplay Region help.
    So where do I go to eliminate this discrepancy?

  • Scroll Problem in Page Layout - Excel 2010

    I have numerous worksheets in a workbook.  Only one worksheet has the problem.  All are in Page Layout view.
    On problem sheet, when I scroll down from the top of the first page (where it opens), at the visual page break, the top of the first page re-appears (at the bottom of the screen).
    Both pages move up the screen as I scroll down with mouse wheel or bar on right of screen.  Until I can only see the last row of the first sheet (at the very top of the screen).  As I try to keep scrolling down, the duplicate first page stays in
    place and only the row number and information changes in the one row I see at the top of the screen.
    When I look at the page number, there are 174 pages when there should be 4.
    In View, Window, the "Freeze Panes" icon is grayed out, I cannot select/unselect it.  i didn't try to freeze any panes/rows/columns.
    How do I unfreeze this sheet? Help!

        This way you should press page down every 9th time(Assuming that you have 10 lines in the table control.

    I have it in mind for sap-script it is ITCPO-TDNEWID. Dont have it in mind for SAMRTFORMS but still it should work somehow similar.

    i noticed that in a pc computer and mac that there are different pages (ex: google something on a mac and it is on the first page but when you google it on a pc, doesn't have it). is this just me or what?

  • Pages in Smart Forms

    Hi Experts...
    I'm having a problem with the paging of a couple of Smartforms...
    I did not develop them but I've been asked to try to fix the issue.
    The forms have something particular, they have different PAGES (2 or more) and the customer wants the page counter to INITIALIZE for each PAGE.
    For example:
    One of the forms is an AUDIT Form. It has the pages FIRST and SECOND.And they're set up like this:
    FIRST:
    - Next Page: SECOND
    - Mode: Initialize Counter
    SECOND:
    - Next Page: SECOND
    - Mode: Increase Counter
    To Print the paging we're using:
    Page &SFSY-PAGE& of &SFSY-FORMPAGES&
    When we print, there are 3 pages on the form (2 for FIRST and 1 for SECOND), BUT, the paging is coming out like this:
    Page 1 of 1
    Page 2 of 1
    Page 1 of 1
    The correct would be:
    1 of 2
    2 of 2
    1 of 1 (because this is "a different form inside the same form")
    First 2 pages are for FIRST... and the last is for SECOND.
    I have already changes the config to both as INCREASE (still wrong 'cause then they show 1 of 3, 2 of 3 and 3 of 3)
    I've tried everything... any ideas?

    &SFSY-FORMPAGES& gives the total no of pages in a form and as per your example it is 3 .  You are trying to achieving something which is not possible with system variables.(  print 2 layouts using 1 smart form object ).
    You may review the data and see the how pages are displayed. .. if it is always 3 pages then you can hard code it or reset the counter based on &SFSY-PAGENAME& . otherwise you need to build a logic to determine how many second pages out of &SFSY-FORMPAGES&...
    It would have been better if the second page is kept as a separate smart form, however doing this now would be time consuming .
    In case you are not able to derive the no of pages from the total pages, then I would suggest you to convince the business  to use simple page numbering(1,2,3 ). and then you can reset the page counter based on page name .. ( use variable for page counter ).

  • Is it possible to have a PDF Form that is both static and dynamic?

    So I have a form that I need to make that would consist of two different pages. The first being lots of form fields and some simple graphics where the user could use the comment markup tools to draw some simple lines. The second page would be all text and filling out narrative. So the second page being dynamic and being able to expand would be important. The first page would not need to expand at all. Is there any way to do this and still have the form be one file, one document? What about embedding a dynamic form inside of the static form? Such as how you can embed a word document inside of an excel form... I've done some research but I can't tell if this is even possible. Thanks in advance.

    Yeah I kinda figured that... Really too bad. Seems lke it should be possible somehow. Anyway, do you all have any suggestions about the best way to combine a static form that is really just text fields and such (that comments and markup tools can be used in) with another page that is sections of narrative that would need to be able to flow?
    Or better yet, a way to draw lines on to a form without using the comment and markup function?
    I like your idea about connecting two forms - but I need to keep the final product as simple as possible. Once the user fills it out, they would be to be able to submit it and it show up as one file, even if that is just a flat file. I don't expect you all to tell me how to do this, but it would be nice to know its possible before I commit to the project and research. Thanks in advance.
