Ariba Catalog Shopping in SRM

Hello Experts,
We are currently on SRM 7.03 and using Ariba Catalog Management to host our supplier catalogs on Ariba Supplier Network.
As per standard catalog shopping process, the user punches out to vendor site via Ariba and selects the items to be shopped.
As a final step, the user reviews his items and exits Ariba to come back to SRM. Ideally, he/she should see the selected items added to his/her shopping cart in SRM.
However, our user returns back to the initial "Shop in 3 Steps" page (page where i have shopping options listed - Describe Requirement, Catalog Shopping, Shop from Template etc) after exiting Ariba. So essentially, no item is added to the shopping cart.
The fun part is that this is happening only for a couple of users and not for all. The users are on IE 8 and IE11. This is happening for these 2 users only.
The same item bought from the same catalog by another user is transferring fine. So hopefully, this is not a category code mapping issue.
Can someone please suggest any resolutions from IE settings perspective ?
We have already done the following:
1. Add vendor site domain to list of trusted sites
2. Delete history & cookies on exit
3. Enabled display of mixed content

You will need to find GUIDS for items taht you are looking for.

Enter a vendor error message for catalog shopping carts

Hi Viewers,
I am facing problem while creating PO in backend R/3 system by using catalog shopping carts.
Procedure:
I have created catalog shopping cart with vendor.
when i click on order button shopping cart has been created successfully.
But when i see the history in BBP_PD transaction it went to error.
I can see the error message in RZ20 transaction under SAP B2B Procurement - Monitors -->Shopping Basket as follows:
"Shopping cart 3000841126 (PO 2000251272): 06 049 Enter a vendor"
Is there any config settings missed out or anything else need to do for the same.
while transferring data from shopping cart to banckend system vendor is initialising.
Please help me how to fix the issue.

Hi Prashanth,
This is very strange, please check if any of the following BADI's
are active, if so please temporarily deactivate them and retest. These would be the most likely cause of this as there are no notes about this. Also very few other customers with similar issue.

New Customer Field in Shopping Cart (SRM) with default value

We have requirement to add new Customer field in Shopping cart (SRM 4.0) and assign a default value to it.
We have added the custom field and also assigned default value 'X' to it using BADI BBP_CUF_BADI_2 method MODIFY_OUTPUT. Problem we are facing is in case user changes the value and unchecks the custom field then it gets overwritten by default value once the shopping cart is saved. We have followed steps mentioned in link below in order to add custom field and populate it.

are you doing something like this?
CASE IV_FIELDNAME.
WHEN 'YOUR_CUSTOM_FIELD'.

      MOVE 'YOUR_DEFAULT_VALUE' TO EV_VALUE.
    ENDIF.

MDM catalog integration with SRM 7.0

We will be upgrading from SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.0
We currently have CCM .....Few questins on catalog enablement for us with SRM 7:
1.With SRM 7,0,can we use CCM oor MDM is the only option???
2.Is it better to have MDM as a seperate server and enable SRM MDM catalog content?
3.We have 2 punch out catalogs for 2 vendors.How to enable the punch out catalog links in SRM 7.0???What is the path for IMG config??
4. We have around 20 internal supplier catalogs .Now should we upload few of the supplier catalogs and then upload rest or can we upload all the suuplier catalogs at once through IMPORT MANAGER in MDM ???What are therestrictions in terms of the no of catalogs or catalog data that can be improted and mapped ???
5.What are additional features in SRM MDM 3.0 catalog in contrast to CCM??
6.The backend master data such as Supplier/Porg etc.....how is that synchronised from SRM to SRM MDM catalog???Is it through some scheduled programs???

   You can use any catalogs which support SAP OCI interface.
2.Is it better to have MDM as a seperate server and enable SRM MDM catalog content?
   MDM Server(contents) and AS Java(for UI) are required. Please check the installation guide.

Yes. You can use Import Manager. No issues.

Any. Even for DB interface is also supported. You see all options when you run import manager.

Sample repository definition is delivered. You can manually create 1 entry by Data Manager.

You can use contract and contract items are transfered to Catalog.

How to appear records that belongs to a Catalog Mask in SRM Portal

Hi,
Imagine I have a mask with 2 records. This mask is associated with a user. Whenever I enter the SRM Portal to search records in this catalog, not only those 2 records appear, but all the items appear.
Is there anything missing?

Hi Ligia.
Yes, SRM-MDM Catalogs does not support integrated call structure.
It is been desinged in such a way to support SAP catalogs and Non-SAP Catalogs.
Till SRM-5.0 SAP supports Integrated call structure for CCM and once SRM-MDM Catalog comes into picture this feature is changed to accompany the business requirements.
Some feature which is possible in Standard Call Structure:
- The Catalog opens in a separate window instead of opening in the same window
- Portal Navigation is supported
- Reverse-Proxy is achived etc etc

Retrieving MDM catalog data from SRM

Currently we have a requirement to pull MDM catalog data from SRM with supplier product number as input.
We have a remote function call which has input fields u2018Catalog idu2019 and u2018Catalog itemu2019 to retrieve the catalog details from MDM.
However we could not able to find the relation ( say database table) between the supplier product number and catalog id/catalog item in SRM.
Is there any other RFC/APIu2019s to meet this requirement or to find relation between supplier product number and catalog id/catalog item in SRM itself?
Kindly provide your suggestions and throw light on how to progress on this requirement.

Hi,
The field NEW_ITEM-MANUFACTMAT[n] is used to capture manufacturer part number/supplier part number and is mapped as such automatically in the SRM BO coding.

SRM MDM Catalog - Shopping Cart Issue

Hii All,
I am doing SRM MDM Catalog, We have done with all the configurations and settings.
I can search and select items in the SRM portal shop menu.
I can even add the items to shopping cart and shopping list but the 'continue' button doesnt get enabled after doing this so cant proceed further.

Disable 'Find' (good /service) function in 'items in shopping cart' SRM 5.5

Hi SRM experts,
after clicking on Shopping Cart (- Full functionality) you have the choice of searching in catalogs or you can scroll down to 'Items in Shopping cart' and enter the product-id directly in 'Good / Service'.
How can I disable this 'Find' option? So not the whole line, but only the 'find' option with the binoculars.

Use BBP_DP_PROD_CHK_BADI.

Clear the parameter EV_DP_POSSIBLE.

PO Partial confirmation Quantity not updated for non-catalog items in SRM

Hi Experts,
Partial Confirmation plus Partial Rejection from Ariba(Suppliers network) could not be processed.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Create a purchase order.
2) Confirm some part of the quauntity and reject the balance part in Ariba.
3) Open the link in SRM and click Copy push button.
4) Click on Process PO and check PO, the PO is not updated with the changes done in Ariba
Expected Result:
PO should update the changes done in Ariba.
Here when part quantity is confirmed and part is rejected at Ariba, its sending a POR but SRM is not updating anything for non-catalog items when POR is copied onto PO.But where as in the Catalog items partially confirmed POR is copied onto PO.
kindly give your valuable inputs to poceed furthur.

I'm not clear you issue. Is it SC -> PR(backend) -> PO(backend) classic scenario ? or You just created a PO in backend system?
BBP_GET_STATUS_2 will update SC follow-on doc information from backend.

Please ensure that your MDM server is running and repository is loaded.
Also check similar threads with same problem:

This problem seems to be more towards with Call structure Configuration.
Please define parameters carefully during defining webservice like repository name which is case senstive, ensure you have the same case senstive name for repository which you defined for SRM MDM in MDM Console. Also check for other parametrs too.

Transfer of Shopping Cart (SRM) to Back End Syetem (R/3)

Hi experts,
We have just upgraded to SRM 5.0 with SRM Server 5.5 (SP 0008). We have moved our EBP application from Requisite to CCM. In our old application we have created some customer fields in the shopping Cart and will be moving the data from the shopping cart to Back end (R/3).
In R/3 EXIT SRM_PO is implemented to get the customer fields into Purchase Requisition. Now after moving to SRM 5.0, we are able to reproduce the customer Fields in Shopping Cart. But the data in those customer fields are not moved to Back end (R/3). Earlier BADI ' BBP_CREATE_REQ_BACK ' & ' BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK ' is implemented and in new BADI's
" BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW " & " BBP_CREATE_BE_RQ_NEW " is implemented as well which in turn calls the Old BADI's.
In this situation, i would like to know the following,
1. How the Shopping Cart data is transfered to Back end (R/3). Once we know this we can find whether Customer fields are getting transfered to Back end by Debugging.
2. Is there any RFC or IDocs doing this transfer.
Your replies will certainly help in my further analysis.

BAPI_PO_CREATE1 and BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE are used to create either PO or requisition in the backend in the classic scenario.

Disable GL Account Field for editing in the Shopping Cart SRM 7.0

Hi,
We would like to disable the GL Account field for editing only on the Shopping Cart Approval Screen. I tried to implement this through configuration of Metadata Dynamic Class in SPRO->SRM Application Server ->Cross Application Basic Settings->Extension & Field Control ->Configure Control for Fields of substructure. But the class is not getting triggered.
Any help would be appreciated. We are on SRM 7.0

Try to activate the view and component and then see. If this does not works, create an enhancement for the view and write the below code in method WDDOMODIFYVIEW
DATA btn_confirm TYPE REF TO cl_wd_button.
btn_confirm ?= view->get_element( 'AUTO_CONFIRMATION' ).
if btn_confirm is BOUND.
btn_confirm->SET_TEXT( value = 'Confirmation' ).
endif.
This code will set the button text as 'Confirmation' .

Non-catalog shopping cart - manual po not showing up when extracting

I see the purchase requisition in table BBP_PDBEI. However, I do not see the associating manual created PO within this table. The manual PO has been created within ECC 6.0 and
shows up when running BBP_PD. Therefore, I know its recognizing the link the between the purchase requisition and po within SRM. In addition, I have run the programs BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and CLEAN_REQREQ_UP with
no luck.
Why is the manual po not showing up in table BBP_PDEBEI? Why is the function BBP_SC_BW_GET_TD not getting the manual created PO? Suggestions?

The BW team is using function BBP_SC_BW_GET_TD to retrieve purchase requisition and purchase order changes from SRM. In a non-catalog scenario, BW system is getting the purchase requisition from SRM but not the manual created purchase order (references purchase requisition).
I see the purchase requisition and purchase in the function BBP_PD (SRM), which retrieves its information from tables srrelroles and bbp_pdbinrel. However, I do not see the manual created purchase order in table bbp_pdbei, which function BBP_SC_BW_GET_TD uses to retrieve the purchase order. Any ideas??? Should bw be using a different function for getting the po for a non-catalog scenario? I see no oss notes on this issue. In addition, I have run the program BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and clean program over and over. I have heard of consultants creating a trigger.
