  • I can't browse Internet with Arora [solved]

    Hi.
    I installed Arora this night, I really like it now. But I deleted my ~/.config/arora*/, and since this, I can't browse the Internet, but with Firefox it works. I want to use Arora instead of Firefox, does anyone know what I can do ?
    I already remove this, re-installed (-Rd, -Rs, -S) but nothing changes..
    Thanks in advance

    I've got it !
    It's just when AdBlock is activated, I can't go to any websites, even the default page of Arora. I don't understand why, because I use the same filters on my firefox, and it works.
    It's now solved

  • Arora and rekonq are crashing

    Hi,
    I am on x86_64 and wanted to give arora a try, but it crashes just on loading the startpage... same behaviour for rekonq and kwebkitpart.
    Somebodys an idea?
    I tryed out qt from repo and compiled qtcopy, no change. Currently i am running Kde svn...

    Well its crashing as root, too.
    Output from console can't say nothing, just "segfault". The problems seems to be in qtwebkit, not in arora...

  • Confused by makepkg output - Building Arora

    It appears that its calling g++ with different CXXFLAGS than I specified in makepkg.conf, I'm not sure if it is or not, but when reading the output during makpkg -s it looks like its using its own generic flags.
    I'm just learning ABS and I've been messing with the arora browser as a test build cause I know its small and Qt4 based, so I don't need to worry about dependancy issues.
    Here's an example of the output:
    g++ -c -m64 -pipe -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -Wall -W -D_REENTRANT -DQT_NO_CAST_FROM_ASCII -DQT_NO_CAST_TO_ASCII -DQT_STRICT_ITERATORS -DQT_NO_UITOOLS -DGITVERSION="\"0\"" -DGITCHANGENUMBER="\"0\"" -DDATADIR=\"/usr/share\" -DPKGDATADIR=\"/usr/share/arora\" -DQT_NO_DEBUG -DQT_WEBKIT_LIB -DQT_SCRIPT_LIB -DQT_GUI_LIB -DQT_NETWORK_LIB -DQT_CORE_LIB -DQT_SHARED -I/usr/share/qt/mkspecs/linux-g++-64 -I. -I/usr/include/QtCore -I/usr/include/QtNetwork -I/usr/include/QtGui -I/usr/include/QtScript -I/usr/include/QtWebKit -I/usr/include -I. -Iadblock -Ibookmarks -Ibookmarks/xbel -Ihistory -Ilocationbar -Inetwork -Inetwork/cookiejar -Inetwork/cookiejar/networkcookiejar -Iopensearch -Iqwebplugins -Iqwebplugins/clicktoflash -Iutils -Ilocale -I.moc -I.ui -o .obj/qrc_data.o .rcc/qrc_data.cpp
    Here's my makepkg.conf
    # ARCHITECTURE, COMPILE FLAGS
    CARCH="x86_64"
    #CHOST="x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu"
    #-- Exclusive: will only run on x86_64
    # -march (or -mcpu) builds exclusively for an architecture
    # -mtune optimizes for an architecture, but builds for whole processor family
    CFLAGS="-march=native -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"
    CXXFLAGS="-march=native -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"
    LDFLAGS="-Wl,--hash-style=gnu -Wl,--as-needed"
    #-- Make Flags: change this for DistCC/SMP systems
    #MAKEFLAGS="-j5"
    Anyone that can enlightent me please help :-)

    $CXXFLAGS is just an environment variable.  It only matters when it's actually called upon.  In this case, the makefile is being called with its hardcoded $CXXFLAGS:
    DEFINES = -DQT_NO_CAST_FROM_ASCII -DQT_NO_CAST_TO_ASCII -DQT_STRICT_ITERATORS -DQT_NO_UITOOLS -DGITVERSION="\"0\"" -DGITCHANGENUMBER="\"0\"" -DDATADIR=\"/usr/share\" -DPKGDATADIR=\"/usr/share/arora\" -DQT_NO_DEBUG -DQT_WEBKIT_LIB -DQT_SCRIPT_LIB -DQT_GUI_LIB -DQT_NETWORK_LIB -DQT_CORE_LIB -DQT_SHARED
    CXXFLAGS = -pipe -march=i686 -mtune=generic -O2 -pipe -Wall -W -D_REENTRANT $(DEFINES)
    You can change the PKGBUILD's make command to something like this if you want to use your own $CXXFLAGS:
    make CXXFLAGS="$CXXFLAGS -D_REENTRANT \$(DEFINES)" || return 1

    my requiremen is to have three condition checkec while mofifying or updating from a internal table
    the three fields are
    cus no
    status
    date these all are primary key in the database table
    so which sould i use modify or update
    there might be entry already existing in database table or new entry to be created if already existin it should check on the primary keys and updatat if not it should add a record
    pls suggest whihc to use and how to implement the check on teh threee primary key

    if not should i use update will update create a new entry if no entry is there and please give syntex
    regards
    Arora

    Hi Nishant Arora,
    Modify: It works in performing two actions.
    They are: Insert + Update.
    For Example If a record that is exited in database, so you are modifying that record, it updates that particular record.
    Similarly, If the is not existed in the database, you are modifying it, it inserts a new record.
    Update: Update means just it updates the status, I mean it only updates the record. It doesn't inserts any new record if that particular record is not present in the database.
    These are the cases you need to write these statements.
    Syntaxes: :

    GO: "This article deserves absolutely a medal THANKS!"
    Jinchun Chen: ""
    Richard Mueller: "Good topic. Grammar needs work. "Caution" states undocumented stored procedure is safe for production, but later states it is not."
    Ed Price: "Great article. We should include the technology in the title. Good descriptions, and great References!"
    JS: "Although the outlined solution is interesting and shows the public the usage of the "new" system views finding the right dependencies, it is not recommended to describe the usage of undocumented features such as sp_msforeachdb
    as there are alternatives, especially in this scenario. You could generate a query using the sys.databases view and let it print out the database name along with the use statement. In addition to this and as the statement has to be run with a high privileged
    account as schema information is secured as well, it should be made safe to SQL injection. In many case in the statements there is just a concatentation of values used. You can easily inject code in here, Also make sure that names / object identifiers are
    quoted with [] in order to allow also special characters like spaces in the names"

    Export To CSV for Windows Store apps
    JH: "Most people laugh when they hear about CSV export of data. A database would be a better place for the data of an app. In my opinion this is not always true (because CSV is small and can be used in different ways),

    What you 'believe' is unimportant. Windows Home doesn't have user accounts, and Oracle relies on the presence of accounts.
    So, yes there is an architectural difference between the various flavors of Windows, and Oracle is not certified against the 'Home' flavour, for exactly this reason.
    Please stop stating it must work somehow. This is irrelevant, as Oracle won't support you.

    JS: "Use object qualifiers (schema name to make sure that the right objects will be picked, e.g. dbo.) Outline ab bot more the things what not to do in production! Be aware that although people read this, they tend to use it anyway. If

    JH: "Most people laugh when they hear about CSV export of data. A database would be a better place for the data of an app. In my opinion this is not always true (because CSV is small and can be used in different ways),

    Behavioral Difference of IIf Function in T-SQL Compared To SSRS

    GO: "Wonderfull article thank you!"
    Jinchun Chen: "Interesting comparison "

    INSTEAD OF Triggers
    Ed Price: "Good depth here. Great explanations of the code! Great job interacting in the comments and improving the article!"
    JS: "Use object qualifiers (schema name to make sure that the right objects will be picked, e.g. dbo.) Outline ab bot more the things what not to do in production! Be aware that although people read this, they tend to use it anyway. If
    triggers are enabled, they are executed once for each batch They are executed each statement not batch, miswording here."
    Richard Mueller: "Good article. The "See Also" should only include Wiki articles. Some of the "Resources" could be moved to "See Also". Grammar needs work."
    GO: "Thanks"

    Find the Database where user defined object located and where it is being referred.

In my opinion this is not always true (because CSV is small and can be used in different ways),
    so most apps should have the capability to export data into the CSV file format. This article shows how this can be done."

    hi all ,
    I have this issue which states that if in a lead transaction no employee responsible is assigned then after an hour of that transaction a mail should be trigger to org structures manager stating the lead number etc in the mail..
    Thanks & regards

    Hi,
    You define an Action Definition with Rule type as "Condition Using BADI". Use Evaluate Schedule Conditon (Eval_Schedcond_PPF) BADI to write the condition.
    In the BADI condition check if the status of the lead is open from the time the lead is created untill one hour if not trigger a mail to the person responsible.

    Richard Mueller: "More good information. Should be linked to the other DHCP article."
    GL: "This is OK but a better solution for a highly utilized DHCP scope would be to shorten the lease time and/or configure a superscope."

    Find the Database where user defined object located and where it is being referred.

In my opinion this is not always true (because CSV is small and can be used in different ways),
    so most apps should have the capability to export data into the CSV file format. This article shows how this can be done."

     Transact-SQL Technical Guru - May 2014
    Naomi N
    T-SQL: Random Equal Distribution
    Jinchun Chen: "Nice."
    JS: "The crucial thing about such a procedure is to check the data before the randomization and afterwards. You might encounter situations where "John Smith" and "John Meyers" might have exchanged their First names
    which is technically correct, but logically and obviously wrong. So make sure that there is one additional check afterwards that makes sure that eventual privicy concerns will not survive the random process. Normally this would not happen, but I have already
    checked this is one of my older blog entries, where we exactly had that problem obfuscating data to make that operational and live data will not be recognized afterwards. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jenss/archive/2009/04/08/when-is-random-random-enough.aspx In
    addition to this some attributes are sticky to each other like gender and First Name. You also have to make sure that your distribution might change statistically in relation to other attributes."
    Richard Mueller: "Very instructive. Perhaps the See Also section should have more links."
    Ed Price: "Great formatting and topic! Could benefit from more descriptions. Great article!"
    GO: "Naomi, your article is nice. Simple to understand the 'problem' and execute the 'solution""

    GO: "Great article, I enjoyed reading it. Thank you"
    Manoj Pandey: "I like the idea, but it took me some more time to understand the overall logic as I'm new to Geo datatypes, Thanks."
    JS: "For me not using this sort of things regularly, I don't see the problem and the benefit. I have no doubt that this is a brilliant explanations how to cope with a problem, but for me this is missing yet the red line. More pictures
    would be helpful describing the problem and outlining the results produced."
    Richard Mueller: "Needs more explanation, and perhaps an example. There should be links to relevant references."
    Ed Price: "Good job on the opening descriptions! Could benefit from breaking up and explaining the code more. Images and references would be helpful. Good article!"
    Hasham Niaz
    DataCleanUp() Function Implementation in MS SQL Server
    Jinchun Chen: "Good."
    JS: "-Does actually not work for Case senstive areas where I want to remoce certain Upper/lower case characters. This might be not interesting for some people, but is extremely important and relevant to other people. The limitation is
    that I can´t pass multiple values to be removed from the string, right ? Could this be implemented as well as many people wash out their data from unused / unimportant control characters. "I have tested it on a table which has got more than 11 Million
    rows and it executed fine returning the correct results. Since this is a scalar function you will notice decrease in performance." Once you want to maintain the old data and keep the new cleaned up one seperately, you could suggest something like persisting
    the data in a computed column which could be indexed and then help improving the performance. This would not be the case for any adhoc queries though."
    Richard Mueller: "Very clever and also very useful. There should be links to references, for example to explain the PATINDEX function."
    Ed Price: "Great job on this article! Very clear and well executed! See JS's comments for some thoughts about what's possible. Great article!"
    Manoj Pandey: "A good utility Function that I can use and tweak for my future needs, Thanks."
