ASM, Listener, Instance status changes to OFFLINE.
Hi All,
I have completed the installation part...whereby installed Clusterware (no OCFS2), ASM and the RAC database S/w along with the database. The RAC version is Oracle 10.2.0.1. The installation is done on the CentOS operating system.
The crs_stat -t shows all the resources. I am facing the following issue.
1) After rebooting the server, most of the resources status changes to UNKNOWN. I need to stop all the resources and then need to restart it again (crs_start -all).
2) The ASM, Listener and Instances resources status changes to OFFLINE after restarting all the resources. This happen regularly. Below is the output.
[root@rac1 bin]# ./crs_stat -t

If someone can help me with some solution for Point 2, it will be great.
Regards
Amit.
Your Database started completely, right?
You found ASM processes, right?
You can check by:
srvctl status asm -n <node_name>
How?
try to stop/start cluster again...
Or try to start step by step -> nodeapps -> ASM -> database by use srvctl command-line
anyway if you serious about resulting from crs_stat command-line:
You need to unregister from Cluster and add it again.

Contacts' Status Changes when I change mine
I'm a newbie to Skype. I mostly use the desktop version on a Windows 8.1 laptop but also have the Skype app on my Android phone. The problem occurs on the laptop.
When I sign into Skype and change my status to "online" the status of one of my contacts instantly changes to "online" as well. Similarly, when I manually change my status to "offline", my contact's status changes to "offline" immediately. So, when I think they're online and available for a video call, they're really not listening and my call goes unanswered. In fact, after this happened several times, I finally emailed the contact who promptly replied that their computer had been off during the days when I'd tried to call.
What's the fix for this, fellow Skypers?There is no fix that you can apply. The issue is on Skype network.

Oracle SCAN Listener Status change
Hi,
During a high CPU Usage on one of the Node in Oracle RAC (11g R2) Environment resulted in automatic change of SCAN Listener Status to INTERMEDIATE.
When the CPU Usage on the node came down, the SCAN Listener status automatically became ONLINE.
From which log in Grid Infrastructure Home which shows the status change of Resources in Cluster.
Thanks,
YusufThanks for the information.
The log file mentioned in the previous post shows the output of lsnrctl status SCAN_LISTENER_<N>
Is there any logs which shows the status mentioned in the output of command crsctl status resource -t\
Thanks,
Yusuf -
Following 455398.1 Using Oracle RAC and ASM with EBS 11i and 11g
Finished step 3.6 Post-Oracle RAC Migration Steps
Now ASM listener will not come ONLINE.
When started manually, it terminates, no error message displayed.
Questions:
1- Is there a log file to gather more information as to why ASM listener dies?
2- Some crs_stat command to get more info?
3- Or is ASM not coming online, since we've not yet finished the note. The next step is to enable autoconfig on db tier.
RgdsA
lsnrctl servicesshould show the location of your logfile, like:
Listener Log File /opt/asmprd/ora/diag/tnslsnr/vsv1h171ps/listener_vsv1h171ps/alert/log.xmlThis is a XML file which might be hard to read. Most of the time there is also a /opt/asmprd/ora/diag/tnslsnr/vsv1h171ps/listener_vsv1h171ps/trace directory, which contains a clear text logfile
Ofcourse change the given directory name here to the ASM installation path of your installation -
CUPC 8.0.3 busy status doesn't change to offline on OS (windows) shutdown
Hi,
We found the following problem with CUPC8.0.3.
When you set the status to 'busy' or 'do not disturb' and you shut down or restart windows (without closing the CUPC program manually) the status doesn't change to offline (from the perspective of other CUPC users or the CUPS end user information page)
If the status is availabe it is going to offline when windows is shut down or restarted
Does anyone know if this is a defect...?
Thanks
rgs
LukHi Luc,
Yes I managed to reproduce it in my lab as well. As soon as you login (after a shutdown) the user is shown busy again.
This is working as expected and it is a known behaviour. It is tracked by the following defect
CSCsl11256
The thing is that a fix would require a lot of changes in CUPC architecture and there is no known date where this issue will be tackled.
This does not happen when the user is already in available status because the busy and 'do not disturb' require special handling
I hope this clarifies things a bit.
Regards,
Christos -
Hi All,
I exported the ASM instance in one of our test environment. oracle 11g aix box
As we all know that asm instance can be brought to nomount and mount. but not in open mode.
now when i check the view v$instance, it show the asm instance status as 'STARTED', but not mounted? Is there any reason behind this?
Same way i checked for exporting a database , and brought it to
nomount state, instance status was nomount
mount state, instance status was mounted
open state, instance status was open.
but when i check the v$asm_diskgroup it showed the diskgroup is mounted.
so cant we check an asm instance is mounted or not apart from v$asm_diskgroup view and alert log file?

How to change an ASM single-instance into a clustered ASM ?
Hi,
I have a node#1 with Oracle10gR2 installed (standard installation, not RAC).
Everything is in the ORACLE_HOME.
A unique single-instance database DB1 uses ASM#1 to access a diskgroup on a SAN.
I'd like to install Clusterware in a separate CRS_HOME (within the oracle account), and protect ASM#1 and the database DB1 using an application VIP.
The things is: I want to create another single-instance database DB2 on another node#2, with another ASM#2 instance.
I need a clustered ASM (with Clusterware) installation to do that because ASM#1 and ASM#2 need to access the same diskgroup.
I don't want to lose the existing data & configuration of the ASM#1 instance.
What modifications I need to do in the current ASM#1 instance on node#1 to make it Clusterware-aware ?
(Again, it's not a RAC installation...)
ThanksHi,
I finally found this Metalink Note 452758.1, which describe the procedure....
Any feedback about this ? -

it very nice your solve your problem but one of possible reason when database configure in SHARED SERVER mode. or we received ORA-12520 error.

Picking status change in Outbound delivery
Hi All,
I have to create a start condition in PPF actions, whihc is nothing but BADI... whihc will trigger when the Pcikinf status is changed....
I have these threee condtions:
Action will be triggered by outbound delivery order status change:
1. Picking planned status at header level changed after warehouse order creation/cancellation (corresponds to Focus2 status 0 u2013 Forecast);:
u2022 from u201CNot startedu201D to u201CCompletedu201D and back from u201CNot startedu201D to u201CPartially completedu201D and back ;
u2022 from u201CPartially completedu201D to u201CCompletedu201D and back;
2. Picking status changed at header level after execution each of warehouse order in drop location (corresponds to Focus2 status 1 - BeginPicked);
u2022 from u201CNot startedu201D to u201CPartially completedu201D and back;
3. Picking status changed at header level after execution of last warehouse order in drop location (corresponds to Focus2 status 2 - Picked):
u2022 from u201CNot startedu201D to u201CCompletedu201D and back;
u2022 from u201CPartially completedu201D to u201CCompletedu201D and back;
any help????
I want to know how can i code this??Hi,
In the BADI, you can get reference to Delivey Object
lo_dlv_ppf TYPE REF TO /scdl/cl_dlv_ppf.
lo_prd TYPE REF TO /scwm/cl_dlv_management_prd.
get delivery reference
lo_dlv_ppf ?= io_context->appl.
Get the attributes DOCID, the find the status of the documents accordingly.
Now get the instance of the Delivery management:
lo_prd = /scwm/cl_dlv_management_prd=>get_instance( ).
Then read Delivery header and items using the below method based on DOCID:
APPEND is_docid TO lt_docid.
ls_include_data-HEAD_PARTYLOC = abap_true.
ls_include_data-HEAD_DATE = abap_true.
ls_include_data-HEAD_TRANSPORT = abap_true.
ls_include_data-ITEM_DATE = abap_true.
ls_read_options-data_retrival_only = abap_true.
ls_read_options-mix_in_object_instances = abap_true.
CALL METHOD lo_prd->query
EXPORTING
it_docid = lt_docid
iv_doccat = is_docid-doccat
is_read_options = ls_read_options
is_include_data = ls_include_data
IMPORTING
et_headers = lt_whr_headers
et_items = lt_whr_items.
You can find header status in lt_wr_headers.
Or based on DOCID, get status from table /SCDL/DB_STATUS.
Hope that helps

Coding for event "status change" in opportunity
Hello,
i need to process own coding if an opportunity was changed to status "lost".
How would you realize this? Where do i find a god point to add this own coding which shall be processed on status change?
Thank you
Best regards
ManfredHi.
It's very simple.
You create your function module using the same interface that another ones in this transaction.
Pick up an example, for instance the entry:
BUS2000111 | end of document processing (50) | priority: 40 | object STATUS | Event: after change | Atribute: <*> | function module: CRM_OPPORT_H_PROB_SET_EC
Use the same interface for your function module:
FUNCTION CRM_OPPORT_H_PROB_SET_EC.
""Local Interface:
*" IMPORTING
*" REFERENCE(IV_OBJECT_NAME) TYPE CRMT_OBJECT_NAME
*" REFERENCE(IV_EVENT_EXETIME) TYPE CRMT_EVENT_EXETIME
*" REFERENCE(IV_EVENT) TYPE CRMT_EVENT
*" REFERENCE(IV_ATTRIBUT) TYPE CRMT_EVENT OPTIONAL
*" REFERENCE(IV_HEADER_GUID) TYPE CRMT_OBJECT_GUID OPTIONAL
*" REFERENCE(IV_STRVAL_OLD) TYPE ANY OPTIONAL
*" REFERENCE(IV_STRVAL_NEW) TYPE ANY OPTIONAL
All these parameters will going to be updated with current info while you are creating your opportunity document.
In IV_STRVAL_OLD you will find info about the previous status (which is the object assigned), and in IV_STRVAL_NEW you will find the info about the new status that was assigned in the opportunity document.
So what you have to do is:
1 - create a Z function module with this same interface.
2 - Assign it to object STATUS_H, on CRMV_OBJECT_FUNC view using SM30 transaction. Note: I am just not sure if you must use object STATUS_H or STATUS.
3 - Create the event that must be:
BUS2000111 | 1 - Imediatelly | Priority: 99 for instance | object: STATUS_H or STATUS | event: AFTER_CHANGE | Atribute <*> | your function module | check for function on header | callback: empty
This is better than use the ORDER_SAVE badi because it executes your function module as soon as you change the status.
I guess that using the CRM_ORDER_STATUS badi as it was sugested is also a good option.
Regards.

Crs_stat shows listener TARGET=ONLINE and STATE=OFFLINE
When I issue crs_stat command I see, the listener on Node1 shows state=offline while target=online as given below,
NAME=ora.moldbcls1.LISTENER_MOLDBCLS1.lsnr
TYPE=application
TARGET=ONLINE
STATE=OFFLINE
I don't have any issues from user connections. What should I do to make the STATE=ONLINE.

Sami Malik.Hi,
From my experience, I see two typical errors that might be the reason for improper services execution, in your case:
Error 1: Listener service is not getting started properly.
Resolution: Stop all services and restart it using "crs_start -all".
Error 2: Time sync issues over NTP.
Resolution (in order of appearance):
(a) Type "system-config-time" command in terminal
(b) Click "Network Time Protocol"
(c) Check "Enable Network Time Protocol"
(d) Select NTP server and click "OK" OR (v) Select date -s XX:XX:XX to modify time
(e) Stop all services using "crs_stop -all"
(f) Check service status using "crs_stat -t"
(g) If "ora.moldbcls1.LISTENER_MOLDBCLS1.lsnr" stops then proceed to the next step, if not then stop it manually using "crs_stop ora.moldbcls1.LISTENER_MOLDBCLS1.lsnr"
(h) Check services status once again to verify all services are stopped.
(i) Restart all services using "crs_start -all"
(j) Check services status once again to verify all services are running.
Tip: To avoid such occurances in future, set your local hardware clock to NTP server.
Hope this helps.

Email Alert/Notification from OSX Server when client status changes?
Hi,
I'm looking at either OSX Server or ARD to manage a network of 'client' mac minis.
One requirement is that the system should alert - by email or other form - when a client's status changes (such as Offline, Sleep, Network Down, etc).
Does OSX Server offer that function?
Thank you for your help.
LMB1980Something like Dejal Simon might work for you. I don't know of any way for a Mac to detect whether the monitor is turned off or not, though.
