Classic ASP on IIS - Timeout Session not expiring

I have an classic ASP website on IIS(both IIS 6,and 8) and both perform the same. We've had this issue for years on IIS 5,6,7,8 and never could figure it out. I have a session timeout setting on the IIS application pool of 120 minutes. I do not have
a session.timeout setting in any of the ASP code itself. I do have a Session.Abandon in the global.asa file, which works well.
Most of the time if a user is idle for > 120 minutes, it gives them a message that their session has timed out, expires the session and redirects them back to the login page. This is how it should work and 95% of the time is does.
The issue I have is that about 5% of the time, some users seem to be able to keep the session alive beyond the 120 minutes. Some for days.
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas what could cause this? Some ideas that I thought of are below...but I really don't know.
I assume they keep their browsers open for days, but could a user that has a browser window open but sitting idle AND on another TAB of that same browser be active on other websites? Does that activity make the TAB with my application still active/not idle?
I've tested this on several environments but not able to replicate.
Some type of software like a URL filter, proxy server or Antivirus could be causing their browser to not be idle?
Of course a user can keep the session idle if they use the app beyond the 2 hours, but it is rather unlikely they do this, especially for days.
Its hard to troubleshoot since the users are all customers with different browsers and environments. So I have no clue if its a certain browser, browser version, or their PC/network environment.
Any ideas?

How can i access the jsp file in a asp file

Hi every one..
we have two projects one is developed in ASP and one is developed in JSP both are running in two different locations.
now i want to include a jsp file from one project to ASP file in the other project.
please tell me how can i insert the JSP file in ASP application.

How to Change ASP form Layout?

I am trying to create an Asp.net form. but all the buttons are stuck with each other I cannot move them simple by draging them and put them any where on the form where I want, in the design pane. How will i change this layout?

ASP on Localhost / LiveData View or browser - Long

Well, it seems like I've tried everything, and I've found a
lot of good resources out there. I started out following the DW
articles/tutorials "setting up an ASP development environment" and
"Developing a Web Application with Dreamweaver." I am running
Windows Vista Business and IIS 6.0 (or 7.0 - I'm getting completely
confused - see below) and DW CS3, and MSAccess 2007. Anyway, I have
looked at the asp forum (forums.iis.net) and found a good list on
the subject and tried as many things as possible. One of those is
the blog at

by Steve Schofield Among the items suggested were to check:
Make sure WWW service is enabled (it is)
ping localhost (works)
turn off IE friendly errors (no change)
check for problem in Netscape & Firefox (no browser

Open a command prompt, type netstat -an -p tcp and see if
0.0.0.0:80 listed or something with :80 listed. (nothing)
Check antivirus software - I made sure DW CS3 & MS Access
have program permissions allowed in McAfee firewall
Looked for errors in the event log (nothing changes)
Install and run Process Monitor (see below)
Another blog suggested the following:
%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd set config -section:asp
-scriptErrorSentToBrowser:true --- changed from false. That was
rather scary and beyond me, though I think I did find the correct

ASP code to start a Java program (with parameters)

I am trying to write some ASP code which should start a java program. Does anybody know a simple way to do this? Am new to ASP

It doesn't have anything to do with java.
Basically you need to make a system call which will start an external application. The external application can be anything including something like "java MyClass".
So either find an ASP forum/board/newsgroup to ask how to do a system call or read some docs on it.

Classic ASP webhosts

Anyone have recommendations for a good webhost? I'm in the process of migrating a lot of sites using ADDT/VBScript and have been having difficulty finding a webhost where the ADDT scripts work without any issues. Don't really have time for troubleshooting so any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Infragistics gridview control sorts in Google Chrome and Firefox but not in IE11

I have an Infragistics webdatagrid control on my website homepage that displays few information in form of rows. The code is as follows

The column is sorted accordingly when user clicks any column header. This happens in Chrome and Firefox but in IE we have a weird behavior as below
Users complain that when they get to the home page for the first time , and they try to sort on the grid, the operation doesn’t get done. They need to go into a row before the sorting works, and after that everything is fine.
Any idea or pointers would greatly help.

Problem Calling a Java class from PLSQL function

We are calling a Java class through oracle function as
FUNCTION CalculateAMW (contributorid IN Number,
fromdate IN Date,OHorAnncoverage in Number,
OHAnncoverage in Number,
AppStatus in Number,
Status in Number)
RETURN Number
AS LANGUAGE JAVA
NAME 'AMWCalculations.calculateAMW
(long,java.sql.Timestamp,long,long,long,long) return double';
on execution of this function the sql prompt for the 1st time it is giving the output
but
if reexecute it is throwing and error ORA - 932 : Inconsistent
datatypes.
Recompiling the java class then it works for the 1st time and the next
time
we execute it throws error as explained above.
What could be the problem.

First, this is an Oracle forum, not an ASP forum.
Second, please format your code... it's near impossible to read.
Third, I truly hope those are not the real user id and password and you've changed them.
Fourth, you may want:

instead.
