Assets retiment posting same value in different ledger

Hello,
I am testing assets scenerio as follows.
1  Assets Procured on 01.02.12 with Value 10000
2  Assets Value shows differet amoubnt to be posted as Depriciation
3  But when i am posting ABAVN ie Asset retire by scrapping then system is passing same entry in all the ledger
    for depriciation.
Could you please let me know what would be specific configuration which would cause the passing of same entry while assets retiment.
I want to post different depr as calculated by assets in retirment. And also post delta entry in derived derpciation area.
In current case depriciation is getting corectly psoted in different ledger.
Reg,
Harry

Hi,
  Could you please check customizing settings for the depreciation key and the transaction type ?

  • How to configure a scenario which posts same file to different directories

    How to configure a scenario which posts same file to different directories of a receiving system?
    Consider an Idoc to file scenario where I have to post same file to two different directories but logical receiver system has to be same.

    Hi,
    You can try out like this: Using multiple receiver interfaces you can send it to multiple directories with the help of enhanced interface determination/conditions and with the help of multiple receiver communication channels.
    Another option is to copy the file from one target directory into another directory  with the help of Unix script by executing the same from the OS command level.
    One more option is to create a Java Server Proxy and inside the proxy, you can write java code to FTP into different locations.
    Hope this helps,

  • Finding the same value in different columns

    Hello,
    I am trying to figure out how I would go about finding the same value in the same row but in different columns. For example, in the table sometimes the report name is the same as the description. I would like to find all of the rows where this is the case.
    Thanks
    Report name
    Description
    Date
    Time
    Report 1
    Report 1

    tttt
    Report 2
    Billing Report
    dddd
    tttt
    Report 3
    Report 3
    dddd
    tttt

    Hi,
    Is this what you want?
    SELECT  *       -- or whatever columns you want
    FROM    table_x
    WHERE   report_name = description
    If not, post  a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all tables involved, and also post the results you want from that data.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
    Always say which version of Oracle you're using (e.g., 11.2.0.2.0).

    Hello. I am finding hashCode method of string return
    same hashcode for many different string? There are about 4 billion possible hashcode values.
    How many possible strings do you think there are?
    Obviously many strings will have the same hashcode.
    What is
    solution?The solution is to not depend on hashcodes being unique.

  • Screen Variant is not reflecting same value in different transactions.

    Hi Guys,
    I need a help, it is urgency.
    I done the screen variant for one filed is mandatory and another field in display mode (gray color) for transaction (FPR1 in ISU). After I done the screen variant the standard transaction code (FPR1) showing same result, what I am expecting.
    But the problem is, I want to maintain or enter the values from CIC front office screen.
    Once I confirm the BP and select the contract account to create install plan (FPR1), here it is open with standard view, which is not displayed with screen variant changes.
    What should i check in that case. I already checked with
    T.code : EWFC, EWBC.
    Thanks in advance. Your guidance is appreciated

    Hi,
    Even if you group valuation/view currency is the same as controlling area currency, the system will still show the message above. SAP need you to acknowledge that you're  now costing for different valuation than your operation (legal valuation).
    Note: Normally we execute sales order costing for group valuation in the background.  You can read note 1819102 on how to remove that warning message when costing via background.

  • Same values for different address in BP

    Hi Guys,
    How to popup the standard (current) communication address details into new communication address details.
    Scenario:  The exited BP has one address and now he moved to another address, in that case we suppose to update or maintain his new address, am I right.
    When I click on u2018createu2019 for new address on address tab in BP, the screen should be popup with current address communication (Telephone number, mobile number, fax and email) details into new address communication fields.
    Ex : current address mobile number  9812345678, when you open new address.
    The new address screen mobile number field would be display with same number 9812345678. Without manually work.
    What is the solution for above business scenario in SAP 4.7

    Venkat
    You cannot make the present communication address for a customer to come into the address screen of the new customer you are creating.
    How does the system know that you are creating the master for the existing customer but with a new address!!!. It can be a new customer altogether.
    Another important thing is, In this scenario, you should not create a new BP master. Then the customer number will be different and all the old history of the customer will be useless for you for any analytical purposes.
    Just go to the customer master in change mode, and change the address. That should work well for ur need.

  • Counter function value to multiple elements as same value in different node

    I need your help!
    I have a counter function and value of that needs to be passed to two elements of Node A and Sub Node B..
    Ex: Mapping
    Map Counter function to NodeA.Element1 and also to NodeB(subnode).Element2
    Expected Result:
    NodA.Element1 = 1
    NodeB.Element2 =1
    but I am getting the result as
    NodA.Element1 = 1
    NodeB.Element2 =2
    I understand the reason.. since the counter function is called each time..
    so my questions is how do I the expected result as mentioned--
    NodA.Element1 = 1
    NodeB.Element2 =1
    remember the XML is multiple occurence(1.. unbounded for both the nodes)
    Thanks-Gopal

    I think  I did not explain phrase it correctly..Technicallyh NodeA.Element1 value should be copied to NodeB.Element2..As long as I can generate counter to NodeA.Element1 and hold the value somewhere to copy to NodeB.Element2, that would be fine..
    the above suggestion you guys made would not work as it will create two different set of sequences.. however Index suggestion might work differently but still I might go out of sequence if I have multiple detail record for each master record..
    Here the expected output (concise)
    Record 1 - NodeA.Element1 = 1
    Record 2 -NodeB.Element2=1
    Record3- NodeA.Element1 =2
    Record4 - NodeB.Element2=2  -->two detail records
    Record5 - NodeB.Element2=2  --> two detail records
    please help

  • Difference between doing revaluation of an asset and posting a credit memo

    Hi all,
           My cleint wants to know what exactly is the difference between posting a credit memo to an asset and doing revaluation of an asset.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Krishna

    hi,
    revaluation: An adjustment to asset values to compensate for a reduction in the value of a currency because of inflation or when adopting market value principles for the valuation of fixed assets.Revaluation enables you to valuate assets at their replacement value (which differs from the acquisition and production costs).
    credit memo: A posting that reduces the balance of the asset

    Dear Experts,
    I face an error while doing MIGO for subcontracting scenario.The error is " Fld selectn for mvmt type 543/acct 41281100 differs for Asset retir.
    I have checked in OBC4 for G/L account field for Asset retir and OMBW for movement type .I have also checked SE38 and had run the program.Still the error persisits .what may be the problem.
    Thanks & Regards
    subhash kulkarni

    Go to FS00, input the G/L Account 41281100 and execute.  There go to tab Create/bank/interest and chech whether you have maintained any value against "Field status group" and also you have checked the box for "Post automatically only".
    This should be done in consultation with your FI consultants in case the issue is in production.

  • Query parameters with the same name and different values

    According to HTTP, multiple query or post parameters with the
    same name and different values are permitted. They are transfered
    over the wire in the following format -
    name1=val1&name1=val2&name1=val3
    The problem is that I can't see anyway of assigning multiple
    parameters with the same name and different values to the request
    object of mx.rpc.http.HTTPService. I have tried using the
    flash.utils.Dictionary object as it does strict key comparison but
    that doesn't work too. I have tried setting an array of values to a
    property of the request object but that sends the request to the
    server in the following format -
    name1=val1,val2,val3
    The java servlet engines throw exceptions when they see this.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If you're not on 8.1.4 move there. 8.1.3 had limitations in the wsrp
    release.

  • Asset Depreciation posting at historical exhange rate in Non-leading LEDGER

    Hi Dear collegues
    Our client would like to post depreciation at historical exchange rates, but only at certain non-leading ledgers.
    So in leading leger the exchange rate should be at the posting day exchange rate, and at the other ledgers should be at historical ledgers. We were thinking that the bes way is to have one valuatio area in Local Currency linked to leading ledge and another asset area attached to the non-leading ledger with a parallel currency area (with historical values). Do you agree with this perspective ?
    thanks

    Yes you are right, but in our case we have parallel depreciation areas that are posting depreciation document to diferent GL Ledger books.  (Dep areas are linked to Ledger books)
    So we just are looking for posting at historical exchange rate in one of that no-leading ledger. The rest of areas an Ledgers should post at posting exchange rate
    thanks

  • Posting for different APC values to different Depreciation Areas

    Hi All,
    I am trying to manage in ECC 6.0, different APC values for different depreciation areas, i.e. APC values differ from one dep area to another. I need to post the APC to GL only (i.e. for the 01 i.e. Book Depreciation area). For the remaining depreciation areas for the purposes of reporting I need to maintain different APC values.
    One way to achieve this is by maintaining Parallel ledger. Is there any other way this can be achieved.
    Thanks in advance
    Krishna

    Hi,
    Use the trnasaction ABSO and clik in the button Dep. Area.
    Now you can fill in the value by depreciation area. (when this is set up) use the Trans act type 100

  • Will a sequence return same value for two different sessions?

    Is there a possibility that a sequence will return same value to two different sessions when it is referred exactly at the same instance of time?

    @Justin... Thanks for your insight; indeed, we too feel this shouldn't ever happen and never heard of it either, but there it is. (No, we haven't logged a TAR yet -- whatever that is -- partly because it didn't occur to us and partly because we only recently came across the issue and sensibly want to do some testing before we cry foul.)
    However, the code is pretty straight-forward, much like this (inside a FOR EACH ROW trigger body):
    SELECT <seqname>.NEXTVAL INTO <keyvar> FROM DUAL;
    INSERT INTO <tblname> (<keyfield>, <... some other fields>)
    VALUES(<keyvar>, <... some other values> );
    (where <tblname> is NOT the table on which the trigger is fired). This is the only place where the sequence is ever accessed. The sequence state is way below its limits (either MAXVALUE or <keyfield>/<keyvar> datatype size).
    In this setup, end users sometimes got an out-of-the-blue SQL error to the effect that uniqueness constraint has been violated -- as I said, we used to have a unique index on <keyfield> -- which leads us to assume that the sequence generated a duplicate key (only way for the constraint to be violated, AFAIK). We released the constraint and indeed, using a simple SELECT <keyfield>, COUNT(*) FROM <tblname> GROUP BY <keyfield> HAVING COUNT(*)>1 got us some results.
    Unfortunately, the <tblname> table gets regularly purged by a consumer process so it's hard to trace; now we created a logger trigger, on <tblname> this time, which tracks cases of duplicate <keyfield> inserts... We'll see how it goes.
    @Laurent... winks at the CYCLE thing Our sequence is (needless to say) declared as NOCYCLE and the datatype is large enough to hold MAXVALUE.
