Assign message class to ABAP Objects class in 4.6C

Hello SDN,
I would like to assign a message class to an ABAP class (as I'm used to in newer SAP releases). Unfortunately, in 4.6C there is no such option on the properties tab of se24.
Is there any other possibility to assign a message class? Old MESSAGE-ID statement or something like that? Or do I have to mention the actual message class in every single message-statement (f.e. via constant).

Sure you can handle PBO and PAI of screen using objects, take a look at transaction MIGO, its full of it. The only thing is is that you can not use the "CALL SCREEN" statement inside your objects.

give the class name method name which u have created in se 24.which was activated successfully.it should be activated otherwise it will not work.

u should b saved in package(don't forget).

Need to know how to find the name of the classes for ABAP Objects

I am new in ABAP Objects. I do not now the best way to find the class which I want to use. Shall I search it using F4 search help, but many of the classes does not have a description with them.
I want to create a text field on my splitter container. Can anybody please tell me the class-name for the text field.

How to access the objects from multiple classes in ABAP Objects

 Give me The scenario and solution to the above problem 

In abap OO you can have only one super class.
multiple inheritence can be acheived by inheriting multiple interfaces.
abap OO is similler to that of JAVA in inheritence.
so you can not have classes a and b both as super at same time for a class.
however if still you want to acheive your perpose then you can do it using heirarchical inheritance where b inherits a and c inhrites b. so this way public methods will be accesible in c
do revert back if any other doubt.

Cannot find the Person Object Class

In Identity Server installation the Person object class is not accepting this recommended object "inetOrgPerson", "User" and Organizational Person" .
What should be the person object class be supplied to make the installation continue? Is there anything that I need to configure in Oracle fusion middleware 11g?

What is the directory server you are using? If you are using AD. It does not have inetOrgPerson object class.
Person object class is custom object class created for your organization which contains all the custom attributes created according to requirement of your organization.

How to synchronize concurrent access to static data in ABAP Objects

Hi,
1) First of all I mwould like to know the scope of static (class-data) data of an ABAP Objects Class: If changing a static data variable is that change visible to all concurrent processes in the same Application Server?
2) If that is the case. How can concurrent access to such data (that can be shared between many processes) be controlled. In C one could use semaphores and in Java Synchronized methods and the monitor concept. But what controls are available in ABAP for controlling concurrent access to in-memory data?

It's common mix ABAP Procedural with ABAP Objects in the same program.
You should use the same way used in ABAP procedural program as Marco Cerdelli sad.
But inside ABAP OBJECTS classes you can't use is these statement type.

Java package concept in ABAP Objects

Hi, just a question on grouping of classes in ABAP Objects.
In Java, you can group classes by "package" to avoid
namespace collision, my question, in ABAP Objects, how
do you group classes to avoid namespace collision?
I know that there is package concept in SAP/ABAP but it
is different concept in Java.

Hello One and Lonley,
the package concept in ABAP and Java is quite different. In java the package name is part of the development object in ABAP not. So any class pool name is global unique. In combination with the restriction on 30 chars this leads often to somehow cryptic names.
The only way to escape this somehow is the excessive use of local classes. That mean classes defined within main programs. If you are on 7.00 you may check FuGr SAPLSAUNIT_TREE_CTRL_LISTENER for this technique.

SAP Recommends the use of UML (Unified Modeling Language). They worked with Rational Software in order to provide an external modeling tool to supports SAP's class.

Assign message number 161 to message class F2

Hi all,
Whats tcode to assign message no 161-Vendor & already exists to message class F2-Master Data Maintenance: Customer, Vendor in? Then I will set as Error or Warning at tcode OBA5.

message maintenance: SE80, tick "edit object" go to "more" enter message class,... But when I view message class F2 message 161 is already there (SAP standard).
