Why is the Object class considered as a superclass and what is the significance of this class? Why does every class that do not extend any other class inherits the Object class by default?

Hi Sneha,
Object Class "Investments" is realted to Investment Orders. Especially when you implement "Investment Management" module, once the "Apporpriation Request" (in IM Module) is of "Approved" status, then, we need to have some "Investment Measures" (Internal Orders or WBS Elements) ready in the system so that the Plan Values on the Appropriation Requests can be moved to Investment Measures.
You make settings about the Object Class in the "Order Types".
If there is no Investment Management module implemented, still, Investment Object class is useful to capture the cost of AUC.

How to use Object Class:orclDbServer in OID

Not sure if i have posted in the correct forum, I am quite new to OID
I am planning to use orclDbServer Object Class, but not sure how to use, i have searched in Google, and Oracle Documentation, there are so little information about this, there are only:
Object Class: orclDbServer
Description: Defines the attributes for database service entries
Attributes: orclNetDescName, orclVersion
Below is the ldif file i created for add one entry with object class orclDBServer:

if you are having main controller and sub-controller then you may need to use below coding to use application class reference.
*Data declaration
DATA: obj_cntrl        TYPE REF TO cl_bsp_controller2,
         obj_sub_cntrl   TYPE REF TO z_cl_sub_cntl,
         application TYPE REF TO z_cl_application.
*Get the controller

obj_sub_cntrl ?= obj_cntrl .

How to typecast Object Class object dynamically

i have a object of any particular class , but i don't know the variables in that class object. But i have string variable contains value of variables in that class object.
So i use following method for get value of variables in that class object.

If you know you're going to invoke the "print" method on an object, then you also need to know the type of the class, or interface, which has that method.
It seems what you are looking for is a tutorial on interfaces.

In a nutshell, you can set up an interface which defines a "print" method, and create class(es) which implement that interface. Then as long as you have an object which implements that interface, but do not know the exact type of that object, you can simply cast it to the interface type and invoke the method.

AciSource object-class and dpsaci attribute

Dear all,
I am trying to create a proxy server that is connected to a JDBC data view.
All went well according to the documentation until I reached the point of creating ACI to control access to the data view.
According to the documentation, I have to extend the schema to use aciSource object-class and the dpsaci attribute.
However, there are no documentation on how to get the correct values of them.
I would be grateful for any type of help.

Entity Object Classes Example

Hi,
Does anyone have an example on how to use Entity Object Class for a given Entity Object (i.e. a table). I was looking for an example that shows usage of a DML operation (say for e.g. insert) using this Entity Object Class.
I did google, and searched this forum, but could not find an example.

How to use two activex class objects in same vi

I am using labview to read ECU data from INCA software .INCA providing COMTOOL API(incacom.dll). I am using ACTIVEX for communication between INCA & Labview. My problem is If I have used single activex class object I am able to read Inca version, getting the database path etc. If I have used two activex class in same vi (one to open Inca & other one is to read the folder structure) I am not getting output.I have attached snapshot for referance

It wasnt in the first two images you posted, or I couldnt see it anyway! That was the only reason.
Did you try the database block on its own, just to confirm that it is working?

Yes you are right. The following changes have to be made:
HEADER-OBJECT_TYPE need to be set to IFLOT (Fixed Value or Transfer field rule)
DATA-FIELD need to be set to TPLNR (Fixed Value or Transfer field rule)
DATA-VALUE need to be set to either CONNOBJ or DEVLOC (Via KSM field rule)

I am always trying to be a better, more efficient Flex developer and I was looking at a project by Christophe Coenraets where he created collaberative forms using Flex/BlazeDS. I saw in his application that he was using multidirectional binding to a Class Object for each form in the application. For example, this is the MortgageApplication.as

I have an application that I use multiple forms to input information into the database and then I use Objects (actually ObjectProxys) and ArrayCollections to store information to display. I use the Mate Framework and have manager classes that store predefined bindable variables (empty) that are injected into the view as needed or requested. In the manager class I just create a new ObjectProxy (or ArrayCollection) and use the information passed in (an ArrayCollection from ColdFusion) and create/modify the ObjectProxy/ArrayCollection before having it injected.
Is it better practice or more efficent to predefine object classes (such as above from the example) then just populate them in the manager class before the injection or just create an new blank Object or ArrayCollection on the fly. Is there any difference?

ObjectProxy access is significantly slower that data class access. ObjectProxy will not tell you if you mistype the name of a property and you can spend hours trying to find some place were you typed ssm insead of ssn.

Sorting a vector of objects using attribute of object class as comparator

i would like to sort a vector of objects using an attribute of object class as comparator. let me explain, i'm not sure to be clear.

What is the use of hashCode and in which scenario it can be used?similarly use of equals method in a class when it overides form Object class. i.e i have seen many scenario the above said method is overridden into the class.so why and in which scenario it has to override?Please help me.

Hm, for generating regular Java classes I wouldn't know one from memory. But I suggest you start searching in for example the Eclipse marketspace for a third party plugin that can do it. If all fail, you could always use Hibernate Tools from the Jboss Tools Eclipse plugin set to generate Hibernate/JPA entities and then strip the annotations from them to turn them into regular POJO classes.
How many tables are we talking about anyway? It might be less effort to just create the classes with properties and then use an IDE to generate getters and setters for them.

Which view object classes should be used by managed bean in ViewController?

I just like to find out which java implementation classes created for a view object should be referenced in a managed bean on the UI side.
For my view object InfoVO, I can create the following classes:
View Object class: InfoVOImpl
View Row class: InfoVORowImpl
View Row Client Interface: InfoVORow
View Row Client Class: InfoVORowClient
Currently, I use InfoVOImpl and InfoVORowImpl in my managed bean so that I can use the getter methods conveniently to access the attributes with proper data types.
I am not sure when I should use InfoVORow and InfoVORowClient instead of InfoVORowImpl.

all of these are wrong. If you want to access a method exposed on a ViewObjectImpl class, the you expose the method as a clientMethod (or clientInterface) in the Java options for the View Object (or Application Module if the method is on AMImpl). You should avoid using implementation classes directly in the managed bean. If you need to access a View Object, use its interface ViewObject. If you need anything more specific than that, expose a method on the client interface after which you can access it through the binding layer.

All i wanna know is to get all the objects that are used inside the class.

in this class i have two objects, one Emp obj and another Dept object.
I wanna get the details abt this class Emp and Dept by simply parsing the file and by not loading this class in JVM.
