    Hi All,
    As few of you suggested me in my last post, I decided to assign new HR report category to my report for LDB PNP. Now it does not let me change the selection fields of in-built categories which is quite obvious. Now when i create a new one it gives me the error message of choose the key from allowed namespace?
    does anyone know if there is special naming conventions for HR report categories??
    i tried Z but does give me the same error..
    stuck up..

    Hi Reena,
    I checked ur error. For me also it is giving the same error. I analysed & found as below.
    In se38->RDDKOR54 check this report & give table name as T599C.
    This will give you the customer name space for this table.
    So you can give the name starting with only spscified letters in this report.
    So use 0test or anything 0* to 7* it will work.

  • Help me about the Report Category !!

    In a ABAP report program's "Attributes", we can set the Logical database (eg. in HR, it's PNP) , and then, we can select the "HR report category", for the report screen category setting.  After we set the Master Data(infotypes), we will get the report with several pushbuttons in the first line, like “Further Selections” "Sort order" ...
    So, my question is if I want to add some items into the "Sort Order" selection screen, how to do that ?

    Hi Tom,
    You can create the report category from SE38-> Attributes and then give the LDB name as PNP.
    Now click on the HR report category button and proceed creating the new report category by clicking the create button.
    The report category name should start with 0* or 7*.

    There is no specific method other than what you have done for transporting rep category.
    Just check your request contents once again whether the entries you made are present.

    When you transprot make sure your Report catogory is not overridden by other request
    Do one thing finally means after all the report request has been transfered to prod.
    go to dev client and do changes and save report catatogory and transport it to quality and chk
    Hope it will work out.
    Even i hv face similar problem i hv sorted it in the same way.

    hi,
    you can create HR Report Category in ur REPORT PROGRAM attributes itself.
    Just go through this steps...
    TCODE SE38 => Give ur report name => display / change => Click on GOTO menu option => Attributes
    Now u will see ur program attributes in dialog box window.
    in this , in status bar there is button HR REPORT CATEGORY, click on this
    now u will see one more dialog box with two RADIO BUTTONS.
    Select any one based on ur require ment,
    Specify a name for ur repor category and click on REPORT CATAGORY button in status bar of that dialog box.
    Now it will take u to that report category page.
    Click on change button.
    select which ever u want depends upon ur requirement.
    If u want more fields to select..
    then click on NEW ENTRIES.
    here u specify all the fields which ever u want.
    click on SAVE
    And click on back to go to ur report catagory dialog box.
    close this dialog box.
    click enter on attribute dialog box.

    I am using LDB - PNP for a HR report. The screen works fine in the development server.
    Once Transported to Quality and Production servers the screen changs to something else completely. 
    <b>I see that HRIN0013 under 'Report category Assignment' ( found in Attributes of program ) is not transported to
    to quality server. How can transport HRIN0013  to

    I have used 'Report category Assignment'  X__X2201 and it works fine.

    1. This report category HRIN0013
       must be a sap standard report category,
       which must be a part of the LDB program.
    2. Just check out in your QA and production servers,
      whether this HRIN0013 is available for
      selection or not,
       in the same screen, u mentioned.
      ie. se38 -- 'Report category Assignment' Button
      ( found in Attributes of program

    Experts,
    I've successfully created a Custom HR Report Category and assigned it to my program. Report works fine, with all customized fields that i selected!
    There is one field called "Customer Specific Status", which needs to be changed to our requirement. For instance, the existing field's text "Customer Specific Status" needs to be changed as "NS Status" ?

    Hi Experts,
    I need to get EEO Category details in report for job code listing.
    Where we maintain job codes?
    In SPRO settings I have seen under EEO information for US based public sector employees, that EEO category is assigned to jobs.
    In OM infotypes, in which infotype can we see the EEO details, so that the same field can b used in get
    the output in report?

    Hi try to maintain this table
    V_T5U13.double click the job..where you can maintain EEO,AAP,OCC category
    US Job attrubtes infoype(1610),WC State, Code, Attribute( 1613).for this infotype u need to set the country specific indicator as 10 thru pp01>settings>country specific infotype-->no country specific..or enter as 10.

    Hi,
    Go to Tcode SE36 -->LDB PNP >Extras>Select view
    Dispaly the function group.If it does not exit create a new function group and assign the fields need to be displayed
    Field that have no fuction can be suppresed in the output.

  • HR Report Category Issue

    Hi,
    We're trying to add the "Functional Area" (PNPFKBER) so it appears immediately on the selection-screen of a number of standard SAP reports, and for the most part it works fine. We've accomplished this by copying the standard report category of the program to a custom report category in T599C, then updating table T599B in order to assign the new copied report category to the program.
    As mentioned, it works for the most part.
    Here's my issue... for program RPTEDT00 (tcode PT_EDT_TELU), we are unable to get the field PNPFKBER to appear on the initial selection-screen. And even when I press the "Further Selections", the field does not appear in the list. I have 5 other programs which react in the same way.
    What I was able to deduce is that the ones that I have an issue with are assigned to transactions that are setup to start with a variant.
    I tested by creating a custom transaction code and assigned it to RPTEDT00 without starting with a variant, and my field PNPFKBER shows up no problem.
    Does anyone know a way around so that we can call the standard transaction with the variant, but that the field will appear?

    Execute the program RPTEDT00 through SE38 or SA38 (you can your PNPFKBER in intial screen).
    Save the variant with variant with name SAP&TELU (Is already available overwrite).
    Now run the Transaction you can see Functional Area filed in the intial screen.
    Follow the same procedure for all the other transactions.

    If u use PNP LDB, and set the report category in program attributes as blank, default selection-screen of PNP is assigned to program.
    If u want to change it,
    give existing report category which u can find by F4 or create a new one and assign it.
    That is,
    goto -->attributes --> Goto HR report category -->
    choose master data--> for not to use the default screen choose 000
    also you can use the parameters you want on ur selection screen
    and if u dnt want anythng u can choose 000
    The default HR Report Category gets assigned if you leave the field blank in the report attributes of a report tied to PNP/PNPCE. to avoid it,
    1. You can use the report category ___00003 (All fields suppressed) & design your own selection-screen in the Program or
    2. Create your own Report category & assign it to the report.
    The report category is used to change the selection screen of programs that use the 'PNP' logical database.

  • Selection-screen using HR report category

    Hi friends,
       I have a developed HR report using PNP ldb in which i have used the HR report category to specify my selection-screen.But still my requirment is not getting fullfiled.I require 1)Company Code
                            2)Payroll Period selection block also.
    But even if i dont enter value in this payroll area it should excecute.As of now it throws an error message saying "No valid payroll area specified"
    I want to generate report for any month given in other period of the payroll Area wrt company code.

    As per your question, remember that, the period will be different for each and every Payroll area.May be same period will behave differenly like weekly, monthly, semi-monthly.. with different payroll area.
    So the parameter payroll area will always be mandatory..
