Assigning Default value to a Infotype Field

Hi,
My requirement is to assign default value to the loan amount field of the loans infotype(0045).
I am using the PBAS0001 user exit program ZXPADU01 and taking the basic pay amount for the employee from infotype 8 and assigning it to pa0045-dabrt(loan amount)field in infotype 45. But the problem is the loan amount field in 45 infotype is of the type currency(13 characters) and if i assign a value 2000 to the field its displaying as 20,000,000.00. That is the value is being multiplied by 10000 and is displayed. When i tried to divided the value by 10000 and pass it, for odd numbers its not working.Can Some one provide the solution for this problem.

Try using simple Formula at field level insted of field routine.
there is IF( <condition>, <result when true>, <result when false> ) option avaialble in formula

Hi Masters,
Consider that I have one input field in a form. I should assign default value to it. I should assign to it, the value which i have stored in a datastore. When i run the application, if i give default value as 123 ,then it is working fine i.e., it is showing 123 in the textfield in form , but if i give the default value as STORE@ProductId, then it is not displaying that value in the form.
Please help me out.

Hi,
i faced this problem and here's what i concluded:
There's no way you can set default value for input field dynamicly, since the default value of input control is caculated only once (i think on initializing of the iView). The input control and the data store are initialized at the same time, STORE@productID is empty that time...
If you don't need to recieve value through the input field you're trying to initialize, but just to display the value from the store - I suggest you try using another control - Expression Box. It's value is calculated continiously, just like the Label's, and you can refere to it later.

How to set default value in Profit Center field of Tcode F-02.

Hi!
Is it possible to set a default value for 'Profit Center' field in t.code F-02? Is there a way wherein the value will be copied in reference to the entered Business Area?
For example, if during parking/posting of document, user input a value of 300 in the Business Area field, the system will automatically put 300 in the Profit Center field. Is there a way to do this?

Using the substitution this can be achieved.
TC:GGB1
Step-1: Prerequiste select the Company code for which this requirement is needed
Step-2: In Substitution field, select the the "Profit center" field on selection of the field - system'll asks you - How would you like to substfield BSEG-PRCTR ? with the 3 options
i.constant value
ii.exit
iii.Field-Field assignment
Select the 3rd option on selecting 3rd option before going to save that substitution it'll ask you to input which field should input the field BSEG-GSBER:Business area
Step-3: activate the above substitution in TC:OBBH
With the above settings whenever any value inputs in Business are field then the same value will be substituted in the Profit center field.
Note: Make sure in all FSG - business area & profit center having the field status optional
Can you tell me onething why this requirement has came ? Is business area and profit center are same in number and prupose

HI,
You can set default values on to screen fields using SET and GET PARAMETER command, You need to assign a PARAMETER ID for that screen field and then use SET PARAMETER before the screen is called or in the PBO of the screen, you can set default values direcly in PBO of the screen but then you have hard code those value or read the data from database.
You need to have a TABLES statement to create a strucutre that you used to create your screen fields, then when you set value to these strucutre fields these values will get tranported to the screen fields automatically.

Put a default value in an infotype with a BADI ?

We want to put a default value in the administrators fields of the infotype 0001 (depending on the company code) when the user create/change it.
A standard feature exist but onluy for the administrator group.
Because we want to follow the technological evolution of SAP, we try to use a badi instead of a user-exit.
So, we found this badi definition: HRPAD00INFTY (method BEFORE_OUTPUT).
Problem: all the parameters (including the infotype value) are IMPORT parameters.
So we can't modify the infotype content...
Do anyone know how to modify the content of an infotype with a BADI ?
Or do we must continue to use user-exit in such cases ?

It's in SAP Business One 2007, in User-Defined-Fields, under User Tables, Iam trying to add a field to a Table I created in the User-Defined-Tables-Setup menu.
I click Add then type the field name, description and then I select the Type, which is DateTime, then the SelectDefault Value For Field get's grayed out.

          all your input fields would be bound to different attributes..... for every attribute you have an option called default value... in the context... you can make use of that...
               or
           in the wddoinit method, you can pass teh values to these attributes dynamically using set_attribute method.

The APEX engine is already doing it for you after a successful login – setting the value of APP_USER as the user login name. You can use it as a substitution string or with the bind variable notation (:APP_USER).

In the INITIALIZATION event we can set the default values for selection screen fields.
INITIALIZATION.
loop at screen.
if screen-name = 'S_MATNR-LOW'.
CLEAR S_MATNR.
s_matnr-low = '1234'.
s_matnr-option = 'EQ'.
s_matnr-sign = 'I'.
append s_matnr.
CLEAR S_MATNR.
s_matnr-high = '5678'.
s_matnr-option = 'EQ'.
s_matnr-sign = 'I'.
append s_matnr
clear s_matnr.

Setting Default Value to the Quantity Field in ML81n

Hi Gurus,
I have an assignment to set a default value of 1 to the quantity value when creating entry sheet. This is the process we go through before the point of setting the 1:
1. Go ML81n and click on "Other Purchase Order" input some PO number and click enter.
2. On the Menu --> Entry Sheet --> Create --> Empty Page
3. At the bottom of the screen Click on "Service Sel", and click enter if a pop-up shows
4. Now on the line item, select any row (1 or 2 or many). and Click on Services on top.
So at this point when the new screen shows with the new Entry Sheet number, the line Items that comes up should all have a quantity of 1, and should be editable by the user before saving.
How can i go about this. Which UserExit will do this or Enhancement Point. The screen field for this quantity is ESLL-MENGE.

For this in importing paramertes
I _EKPO type EKPO in this we have MENGE field try to asign value 1 to this.
First check the screen number of the popup screen for which you need to enter the MENGE valuein GUI status. Chck if this screen exit can be used by puting a break-point.
And also try this screen exit for SRVEUSCR-
EXIT_SAPLMLSR_020-Transfer of Data to Entry Sheet User Screen
EXIT_SAPLMLSR_021-Adoption of Data from Entry Sheet User Screen
SAPLMLSR-Screen exit at 0400 subscreen.

How to assign default values to fileds in the org. tab of an oppurtunity

hi Experts,
I created a new org data profile and assigned it to a transaction type.
The org. tab consists of
org. unit
sales Org.
Distribution Channel
Sales Office
Sales Group
out of which first four are mandatory.
Now I need to populate "10" in the distribution channel field irrespective of whoever logfs in.
At present a list of sales offices and distribution chaneel popups up for selection by the user.
In my business scenario, I don't want the distribution channel to be taken from there instead it should hold a default value "10".
Pls help me in this.

You can implement BADI 'CRM_ORGMAN_BADI' to populate the distribution channel field by default.You are to code in the method 'CRM_ORGMAN_MERGE' . The code you will have to write for defaulting value will be something like this :

User exits for mm01 to assign default value

experts,
    when i have used exit MGA00002 and the corresponding function module EXIT_SAPLMG02_001 to assign the default values   of mbrsh and mtart to the material number created during the course of the transaction mm01 i have written the following code in the INCLUDE ZXMG0U03
    matnr+3 = matnr.
   matnr+0(1) = mbrsh.
matnr+1(2) = mtart.
concatenate matnr0(1) matnr1(2) matnr+3 into matnr.
but default value is not getting assigned.
with regards.

you just want to concatenate the mat type and indus sect to ur material num.
if it is then do this
go for MGA00001
in that u use
data: field1(18) type c,
concatenate the three fields using wmara like
wmara-matnr wmara-mbrsh wmara-mtart
into ur field field1
now write
cmara-matnr = field1.

You should try to use transaction variant
<i>Transaction variants simplify transaction flow by:
Inserting default values in fields
Changing the ready for input status of fields
Hiding various screen elements and menu functions, or even entire screens
Adjusting table control settings
When you create a transaction variant, you run through the transaction in a special mode. In this mode, you decide which elements you no longer need in your transaction and which values should be inserted where. If you choose to hide an entire screen, the system will no longer display that screen in the transaction and will proceed on to the next screen in the series. You can also adjust table control settings and determine the width of columns and the order in which you want them displayed. In tab strips, you can suppress tabs that you no longer need by setting them to invisible.
You may also create as many variants for a transaction as you desire. One of these variants can be defined as a standard variant. This variant is then valid across all clients. You may also assign different variants to specific users.
This is done using Variant Transactions. Variant transactions are then places in those users user menus instead of the standard transaction. </i>
