Assigning lower level contract
hi all,
I created a master contract and now I want to assign a lower level contract to it but it receive this message:" Contract data cannot be edited for document type CQ". I have already completed the customizing of VORB ( I assign CQ to GK here) but still I receive this error and system do not let me to link the lower contract to the master contract with GK type. Also I have read all appropriate links in scn and sap helps and those links was not helpful for my case. Any suggestion in this case will be really appreciated.

Go to VOV8, select that contract type and execute. There check what is maintained for the field "Message: Master Contract". It should be blank.

So I have a Master Contract (type GK). Now I want to create other Contracts and have them displayed as lower levels in the Master Contract.
If I create a new Contract, and enter the Master contract number in the header, I receive the error "Referenced document is not a group master contract"
Ultimately I want to create numerous contracts referencing the Master, so I can view them all under teh Master Contract. I do not simply want to create with reference and use doc flow.

Creating Master Contracts
1. In the initial screen, choose Logistics -->Sales and distribution -->Sales.
2.Choose Contract -->Create.
3.In the Contract field, choose the contract type Master contract (GK is the master contract type in the standard system) and, if necessary, the organizational data.
The values for sales organization, distribution channel, and division may be proposed from the user parameters. Entries for the sales office and sales group are optional.
4.Choose Enter.
5. Enter the number of the sold-to party in the Sold-to party field.
6. Choose Enter.
7. Check the data on the following screens and, if necessary, enter additional data:
Business data
Partner
Contract data
Billing plan
Linking a Contract to a Master Contract
On the initial screen, choose Logistics ->Sales and distribution ->Sales.Choose Outline agreement ->Contract ->Create.
You can also link existing contracts to master contracts. In this case, choose Outline agreement ->Contract ->Change. Then enter the contract number and go to step 6.
Enter the contract type and, if necessary, the organizational data.
The values for sales organization, distribution channel, and division may be proposed from the user parameters. Entries for the sales office and the sales group are optional.
Choose Enter.
If you have activated the check for existing master contracts in Customizing and master contracts already exist for the customer, a dialog box appears. You can branch from the dialog box into the list of master contracts and select a suitable master contract from the list by placing the cursor on the master contract and choosing Copy.
If no dialog box appears, you reach the contract overview screen. Either enter a master contract number or search for a suitable master contract using a matchcode.
Choose Enter.
The system determines whether the reference is valid by checking that
u2013 The contract type can refer to the master contract type
u2013 The identical fields match
If the reference is valid, the system copies the data from the master contract into the contract according to the referencing procedure assigned to the master contract.
If the reference is not valid, the system issues an error message. If the identical fields do not match, it deletes the number in the Master contract field. In this case, either enter a suitable master contract number or check the settings in the Customizing activity Define Referencing Requirements.
Enter any other data you require.
The referencing procedure in the master contract controls whether you can change the data which was copied from the master contract. -
Collective Planned orders Scheduling for lower level orders with reference to the Superior order
Hi All,
Collective planned order scheduling.
I have been trying to reschedule the superior planned order and i was expecting the lower level planned orders to reschedule based on the superior planned order.
My problem is
when i try to reschedule the superior planned order the system is not rescheduling the lower level planned orders.
For example if i change the basic finish date of superior planned order as 30/09/2014 and reschedule the planned order it is only scheduling the header planned order and the lower level planned order is not scheduling.
Could some one tell me why this is not happenning at planned order level.
As the rescheduling of collective order will work at production order level but for some reason it is not happening at planned order level(as there is no option available to do so).
Please give your thoughts on this asap.

Please observe that your system is working as designed. Planned orders are scheduled independently, even when they are part of a network/collective order. Note 152319 explains the planned order scheduling in detail and it provides the following information:
* No scheduling of overall networks is executed although a directly manufactured component is assigned.
Note that no scheduling of the overall network is executed for planned orders. For the components requirements dates are determined. In order to cover them, planned orders are created in the next MRP run. Since the requirements are not managed using the exact time, the results of the planned order scheduling and of a scheduling of the overall network of the converted collective order can differ.

Cumulation of lower level item prices to higher level items
Hi,
We have a specific requirement that we use high-level materials that is not relevant for pricing and lower level items connected to higher-level item that are RA and billing relevant. How do we modify the pricing procedure to cumulate (roll-up) the lower level items to higher level item which is not price relevant but statistical value should be updated at this level for billing purpose.
We want to achieve this using/modifying only pricing procedure and not via user exit..
Request SAP experts to provide some inputs to this issue..

But generally if you want to transfer the cost of the sub item to main item then you can check the box Cumulative cost in copy control VTFL . But your requirement is quite opposite .So you need to go to assign a New Reqt / Alt calc type to the cond type , telling that the header item cost which is not relevant for pricing has to be transferred to sub item .So you need to integrate with the ABAP'er to give inputs to him and giving our requirement also

Using the advice in Topic "Low-level" authorizations for accessing BW reports, I have been able to publish a query to a role that has 3 test users and each user gets the same query but with different data, as determined in the tables.
Is there a way to look up the users and e-mail addresses from a table and associate them to the role? We have several hundred e-mail recipients that will not need BW access, but only need an e-mail with a static report that contains data on their own territories.Hi!
i think programatically it might be complex. You got to maintain a seperate variant of report per user and use this variant to send mail. that means you need to maintain a variant and a Broadcast setting per user. once maintained you can use it any number of times the values will be recalculated everytime.

When this value is write? At saving of Bom? Is a setup of customizing for value possible?

The lowest level that a material appears in any product structure of the
company. The low-level code controls the sequence in which the material
is planned in an MRP run: First the materials with low-level code 0 are
planned, then the materials with low-level code 1, and so on. The lower
the low-level code, the higher the number that is assigned to the
material.
The level that is set in the material master record represents the level
at which the material will be planned. This means that the material will
only be planned once all assemblies in which it occurs have been planned
and exploded.
The low-level code is set internally in the material master record when
the BOM is maintained.
When you create a bom item for a assemblyparts ,the item's low-level code will equal (assemblyparts's low-level code + 1),but if (assemblyparts's low-level code + 1) < bom item then the bom item's low-level code not changed

SNP - Issue with PDS as source of supply in low-level code run
Hi All:
I have a bunch of PDS that is giving me the following message when the SNP Low-level code is run:
''Invalid source 00000010382991380SLT1 S is not considered for low-level code calculation. The source of suppy 00000010382991380SLT1 S is available actively in the Supply Chain Model. The location product for which the source of supply is intended, does not exist, however, or is no longer assigned to the model. The source of supply is therefore invalid. ''
I tried all of the following but still did not get to work
1. Made sure that FG and all the active component of one FG and the location and the PDS were in an active model.
2. Made sure that there was one production version and hence one PDS
3. Intialiazed the Planning area with the version
But still would not generate the low level code for the product location. Can some one throw share some insight and help pl?

RyanCould you please check whether in the Product Master, Procurement tab, the Procurement Type is set as "P - external procurement planning"? If yes, then that's the reason as the Low-Level Code is only calculated for Products that are to be planned in APO. In this case, change procurement type to X or E and it should work.

DMR Not showing materials of Lower level WBS

I have multiple WBS under 1st level. It is working find with cost reporting. But when i create DMR with DP91, it shows materials attached with activity comes under 1st level WBS only. How can i bring materials of lower level WBS activity materials into DRM while triggering DP91 with Upper level WBS...?Hi rajsekhar

I got an error while creating a User for Domain Account. Below is the screen shot of the error (error : 15401)
Database instance is on SQL 2000 SP3. ( I know it is out of support, But the customer is relutanct to upgrade)
On Google search, i found below article which is best matching for this error

I have follows each step of troubleshooting. But still the issue persists.
Step 1. The login does not exist == The login is very much exist in the domain as i am able to add the same domain id to other database instances
Step 2. Duplicate security identifiers == i have used this query to find duplicate SID

But there was only one row returned with create date of today's.

Step 4. Case sensitivity == Database collation is set to Case insensitivity. (CI)
Other two 5. Local Accounts & 6. Name resolution == is not applicable to me.
I tried other ways also.
A. Creating login and providing permission in one go only = User account is not created
B. Instead of GUI, use query to create login and provide required permission = Same error.

Unable to create a folder in lower levels of root folder
It appears to me I cannot create a new folder in the lower levels of root folder. Currently, I have to create a new folder right below root folder and then drag it to lower level folder. Why I can't do it in one go. Thanks!
Hi Ray. That is normal behavior for Snow Leopard now. The OS wants to reserve the root level for itself. Also, folders you create at the root level may not accurately reflect the correct permissions.
You want to try to keep all your files/folders in your Home (User) folder. That way all your documents remain portable when you move to another Mac or migrate your data back after an Erase & Install. If your docs are scattered all over the drive there is a chance some stuff will not get transferred during a move. So try to keep everything inside your Home folder.
If you have to place a new folder at the root level, try creating the folder on your Desktop, then dragging it to the root level.

Issue in determining Low level codes
Hi Gurus,
We are having an issue running heuristics when running along with Temporary low level codes. We are in SCM 7.0 environment.
The SNP Heuristics jobs are failing with this message "Low-level code
not available for product XXXXXXX at location XXXX
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE"
Also, the message in the job log for the product in was flagged for deletion and I am not too sure why is this being picked up for processing and then failing?
I tried using SDP relevance as '1' for the product flagged for deletion for testing purposes and then the program is not considering this SKU, but stopping at another SKU and also that SKU is flagged for deletion. But the flip side of using SDP relevance is that that setting is at global level andmay have issues where the SKU is active.
I have couple questions:
1) Is there a way for the program to skip the code which has an error and move forward instead of failing the job? and provide a spool with error codes.Also, to provide the LLC number for all the correct SKU's instead of failing at that point and not generating the LLC's?
2) Why is the program also considering the codes which are flagged for deletion which should not be the case?
Also, I tried another way of maintaining the codes in thevariant which are not flagged for deletion and tried running heuristics in the background but failed at a point and it gave a message stating Low-level code not available for product XXXXXXX at location XXXX, Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE
But the product which was displayed in the job log is an active SKU. I am not too sure why the job failed with this error?
I tried running that individual SKU in the background including the temporary determination of LLC, it was successful. I am not too sure why it failed when it was a part of selection?
Any suggestions, would really help us a lot.

MuraliHi Datta - Thanks for the replies. I was able to have a workaround by using selection profiles excluding the Procurement type 'P' and it worked.
At our client, whenever a product is made 'non-X0' in ECC, procurement type is set to 'P' and by excluding that piece in the variant I was able to continue with my processing.
But still, don't you think the products which are flagged for deletion shouldn't be picked up heuristics?

Difference between Low level and Normal IMAQ ?
There are two options in IMAQ palette a low level and a normal one. Both have the same function names and the same icons the only difference being the balck and white icon of low level functions and colored icons of the normal functions. What is the difference between these two and what is the need of making a low level palette of functions ?

How to disable Wifi and Network access in low level setting for security ?

One of our final customer bought imac last months. OS 10.9, SN is c02*******J4i
Since they are security printing, all the necessary ports accessing to outisdes need to be disabled in low level setting(not the ons just like turn on and off ).
The ports including USB storage, Network and WIFI.
I googled and found the following
Open the /System/Library/Extensions folder.
To remove support for USB mass storage devices, drag the following file to the Trash: IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext
Open Terminal and enter the following command: $ sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions The touch command changes the modified date of the /System/Library/Extensions folder. When the folder has a new modified date, the Extension cache files (located in /System/Library/) are deleted and rebuilt by Mac OS X.
Choose Finder > Secure Empty Trash to delete the file.
Restart the system.
I want to confirm this before sending to final user. Since I didn't have mac on hand, just wonder whether there are similar kext files for network and wifi to remove.
Just like step 2 described.
I would like customer to backup these files before permanently removed.
