Assigning PARSER view with ACS 5.1 to a specific user

Hi,
I like to know how I can assigning a parser view at logon by using ACS server version 5.1. I remember I had already doing it with version 4.2 by using custom attribute, but for some reason is't does'nt work actually.....
We would like to use parser view because all other command are'nt deny but they are invisible to the user...... which provide a better way to us to control security and avoid any question or other request by users.

I worked around a similar constraint by having our AD admins create the computer object with the name of the ACS system, then give my AD account rights over that object. Then I was able to join ACS to AD using my own AD credentials.

LOGGING|NOLOGGING specifies that subsequent Direct Loader (SQL*Loader) and direct-load INSERT operations against a nonpartitioned index, a range or hash index partition, or all partitions or subpartitions of a composite-partitioned index will be logged (LOGGING) or not logged (NOLOGGING) in the redo log file.
In NOLOGGING mode, data is modified with minimal logging (to mark new extents invalid and to record dictionary changes). When applied during media recovery, the extent invalidation records mark a range of blocks as logically corrupt, because the redo data is not logged. Therefore, if you cannot afford to lose this index, you must take a backup after the operation in NOLOGGING mode.
If the database is run in ARCHIVELOG mode, media recovery from a backup taken before an operation in LOGGING mode will re-create the index. However, media recovery from a backup taken before an operation in NOLOGGING mode will not re-create the index.
An index segment can have logging attributes different from those of the base table and different from those of other index segments for the same base table.

Warn by leaving a form view with unsaved changes

maybe that's not the first time, that someone asks this question here, but unfortunately I couldn't found any concrete examples on the forum. So I'd like really to get your help:
I'd like to put some "input listeners" on my form views, so that when the user makes changes (typing in inputText, selection another value in selectMenu or checking a Checkbox), then he clicks on another Button / Link without saving, he shoudl will be warned by a dialog box remebering him to save the changes or leaving the view without saving (changes will be lost).
I tried at first to put a boolean "inputChanged" on my Bean, then setting it to true with an adapted event (onchange) by each component. And by the buttons/links which link to another page I tried to show a <rich:modalpanel> once the value of "inputChanged" is true but I couldn't realize this conditions.
Thereafter I found a solution based on Javascript:

Thank for the prompt answer. I've tried that before but I have put that in checkin action. So that didn't work before but now as per your suggestion it works nicely. The form isn't evaluated.
However, this time my changes aren't reflected on the user.. Basically what I do is
- checkout user view (with empty form) (in an activity)
- update user view (in another activity)
- check in user view (in another activity)
however, changes are discarded. I used winmerge to compare and saw exactly the necessary fields are updated after update activity. but after checkin no changes are reflected. so what should I do now :(

Enable parser view command on ACS 5.X

Would like to check out is it possible binding Cisco secure ACS 5.x to support router/switch ios feature view - superview and parser command
Busines objective is assigning administrative roles, with different role based CLI access, using ACS5.X as backend server.
a. Admin (allow all)
b. network monitor (privlege # 7, enable view that can doing various show command and configure)
c. support (privlege #1, read only)

You need to create three shell profiles
Full --> set maximum privilege to 15
Monitor --> set maximum privilege to 7
support --> set maximum privilege to 1
You need to create three command sets
FullSet --> check permit any command that is not in the table below
MonitorSet --> permit the commands that you want
SupportSet --> add permit the show commands only
Then you need to edit the authorization policy to create three rules
Rule 1 : If user is member of identity group admin ..result should be Full shell profile and FullSet command set
Rule 2 :If user is member of identity group Monitor ..result should eb Monitr shell profile and MonitorSet command set
Rule 3:If user is member of support identity group .. result should be Support shell profile and SupportSet command set
You need to customize the authorization policy to add
identity group to conditions
shell profiles and command sets to results

Problems with parser view

Hello.
I configured a parser view to block some commands(configure line, configure username and configure dial-peer cor) for a specific user.
The parser view is working fine untill I perform a "copy run start" or "write memory" and I reboot my router : the parser view is modified and the "blocked" commands are available for all the users...
The IOS I used is the following : c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-1.T1.bin
The parser view I configured is the following :
parser view BLOCKED

While doing a "sh run | sec parser view", I receive the following :

I'm not sure if there is a bug in the IOS or if I made a mistake while configuring my parser view... Could somebody help me ?
For information, I also try to use the IOS 15.1(3)T and I had the same problem...

Problem in assigning Webdynpro view to BPM task

hello all,
I have a webdynpro application using EJB Model. Now I am trying to embed this application into BPM. When I am assigning the view to a bpm task then it will show error that data type not supported like that.
In Component Controller's context and Interface's context I am using context node through model node binding and in the model node i am using some Java Native datatypes like java.util.Date/java.lang.Long etc that are not supported in BPM tasks i think.
How can I handle this prob. thks in advance. It will very useful for me if somebody have some example that uses the webdynpro views along with EJB Model in that.

Can't open a object view with mapinfo

I think with enough patience one could get the ASCII DataPlugin Wizard to create a DataPlugin that would work for your file, but the resulting code generated by the wizard is not easily understandable, and it would not have correctly devined the sampling rate from your file format. I've written a DataPlugin from scratch which correctly reads the data snippet you sent over. I included an implicit time channel so that you could easily see the time values inferred from the "SampleRate" line. The implicit time channel rerquires all the lines in the ASCII file to be parsed in order to figure out the correct channel length (line 58), so if you have large data files you should comment out the time channel lines (44, 45, 58) and use just the implict time information already encoded in the data channel waveform properties (for faster file indexing). Unless your files are verry large, though, I think you'll like the DataPlugin as it is.

Calculated view with input parameters

Hello there.
I've created a calculated view with input parameters, which I am going to call it 'VIEW_A'.
This view has been working just fine.
But now I have to create another calculated view and import the last one(VIEW_A) in a projection.
But I got a error when trying to see the data content.
It says :
Error: SAP DBTech JDBC: [2048]: column store error: search table error: [6968] Evaluator: syntax error in expression string;expected TK_ID,parsing '"DT_DOC_MES_ANO" >= [here]and "DT_DOC_MES_ANO" <='
At the 'Problems' panel it says the all the input parameters are unmapped.
What Am I doing wrong? Sorry but I am kind new at SAP world.

Analytic View with tables from different schema

I'm curious if I make something wrong or if this is not possible:
I want to use two tables each in a different schema. I can drop them into the DataFoundation, can connect them, assign them some measure. But activation fails due to insufficient privileges. When I use the tables from the same schema activation works well. With the insufficient privileges I would guess HANA cannot create a View (failed with the statement CREATE COLUMN_VIEW "_SYS_BIC"."USER/ANALYTIC_VIEW_NAME"....).
Since I tried the same assignment with the System-User and failed I wonder what kind of permissions are required. Or is this generally not allowed (resp. prohibited)?
If not allowed, could somebody give me a hint, why its not possible?
If it is possible, what kind of rights are required to get it working?

Hm', I have allowed SYS_REPO the rights to the table and was able to activate the view. But now I have the problem, that the DataPreview is not working (again insufficient privileges). What user has to have additional permissions for the JDBC-query?
Do I have to take care more on the privileges for other things?

DB view with flexible number of columns?

In my Oracle 10 I have these tables
Customer table:

...I'd like to create a view like this:
        itemA   itemB   itemC   itemD   ...
John    3       4       0       0       ...
Bob     0       3       0       0       ...
...The view showed John purchased itemA 3 times, item B 4 times. Bob purchased itemB 3 times. This assume each customer only by one item at a time, which is a reasonable simplification of my situation.
Such a view (with variable number of columns) is needed not in our web application but also provide an understandable data source for non IT professional to use report software. If my approach of solving this problem is completely wrong, I'd also like to know what's the common practice. Thank you very much in advance!

I have tried to ask the question in a way that greatly simplify current problem to make it easy for others to understand without having to explain a lot of background information and 'the situation'; it seems I over-simplified the issue to make it even not worth solving or a wrong question being asked. So here I explain the complete problem and look for advice again (be prepared, pretty long description following:). I am a purchased customer of Oracle 10 DB and I reasonably expect being considered as Oracle user looking for help rather than students trying to play smart with assigned data normalization course exercises.
We are working on a system that collects data from interview results. The questionnaires for the interviews are formatted with a coded question, followed by user's answer to the question, like the following:
     Question Code   Question content   Answer

     H005            ...                4,66
     ...             ...                ...The users answer question with a digit, for some special questions, e.g. H005, they are allowed to answer with a set of digits. There are thousands of interviews each year, the simplest solution to collect the interview answers is to use such a db table:

...This solution have two problems:
1. It doesn't properly store answers to questions that requre a set of digits, like H005.
2. The number of questions and their codes change from one survey to another, but the table have fixed number of columns and column names.
And two benefit:
1. With such simple table, people who use report software that directly access oracle db can creat their reports on easy-to-understand data presentation;
2. calculation based on questionnaire data is simple, e.g. get the average of H007/H009 for questionnaires that have H002 > H003 * 600 would be:

1. Personnel who use report creation software feel too confused to make report based on such tables, because they do not understand the normalized modeling. In our case, effective training is difficult because there will be many geographically distributed people make reports based on this structure and they have lower IT knowledge than database administrators. These personnel can make reports based on simple_db_table.
2. calculation based on questionnaire data is very difficult.
To explain 2, let's take the same example, we still wish to get the average of H007/H009 for questionnaires that have H002 > H003 * 600, my method is:

       END get_idc;As you can see the calculation become much more complex and might involve overhead.
There might be better way to calculate the result that I don't know yet. We have some 100 different formulas to calculate different results, so it's important to get them right and efficiently.
The best solution seems to me is that to create such a view from itv_data and other tables so that to reflect the same structure of simple_db_table. So here comes the question I originally asked how is it possible to create a view with flexible number of columns. I made the very simple example in my original posted message wishing to get an idea of this is possible or the way to go.
I may be taking a completely wrong approach to attack the problem, e.g. perhaps there is a simpler way to get_result from itv_table and for report creation users I should use a metadata layer on top of the normalized table structure (e.g. by using Metadata Query Language from Pentaho BI). But anyway I'd like to get some insightful ideas from the forum. Again thanks for help in advance.

Dynamic Vlan Assigment on 2950 with acs 4.2

We have a problem with Cisco 2950G 48 EI and ACS (version 4.2) providing dynamic Vlan assignment based on groups
On the ACS we configured the following attributes for the specific group
64 = VLAN
65 = 802
81 = VLAN Name
We tried for the 81 attribute both Vlan name and Vlan ID but we get the same results
In detail, we need the machine to be placed on Vlan ID 6 named vlan_sio so we inserted these value in the attribute field
Before we configured the switch to speak with ACS:

I cannot find any documentation I can follow to integrate MARS with ACS. I mean I want to use ACS to authenticate user in MARS.
Any of you know if MARS 5.2.7 has this feature? If yes can please give some info where to find docs?

HI ,
LMS 4.0 no longer integrates with ACS the way that LMS 3.x did. You can still use ACS for authentication in LMS 4.0, but for authorization, each user must have a local account in LMS, and the roles will be assigned using LMS 4.0's new RBAC. Users are defined under Admin > System > User Management > Local User Setup, and roles are defined under Admin > System > User Management > Role Management Setup.
By default, if a user does not have an account in LMS, they will receive the Help Desk role

Integrating WCS 7.0 with ACS 5.1

Has anybody got any experience with trying the config as depicted in the WCS 7 config guide?
I have tried today to integrate WCS 7 with ACS 5.1 and got a partial success. I have created a unique Shell Profile that invokes for the WCS only which contains 1 role (role0=Root) and 73 task entries (as copied from the WCS group pages) and I can log in to WCS with the new account, but some things I dont appear to have priviledges for, such as Reports. Is there any way to debug which task WCS thinks I dont have to do this? Any other ideas?

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to write a view with input and with IN clause in where cluase ....For Example I want to create a view like Below ..
The below query may be syntactically wrong , but my intension of writing is similary to this. And the query should contain a IN caluse and A union as below...
create or replace VIEW view_name (col1,col2, P_inputparam VARCHAR2)
as
SELECT Col1,Col2
FROM table_name1
where any_column11 in (
&P_inputparam
UNION
SELECT Col1,Col2
FROM table_name2
where any_column22 in (
&P_inputparam

Not like that... no.
What you're using as "input" there are SQL*Plus substitution variables. Those values are requested by SQL*Plus before the code is sent to the database and compiled. Code that runs on the database has no way of interacting with a client keyboard or screen, so you cannot get stored code to prompt for user input.

It's possible to use SYS_CONTEXT to get a view to pick up a value that has been previously assigned before the view is used, though I rarely find a need to do this myself.

Dynamically assigning query/view to a table

Hi All,
i want to assign a view to a table dynamically in WAD as per certain condition, can any 1 tell me how to do this?

Just a thought
Instead of assigning query dynamically is it possible that you will have tables with different queries as dataprovider and at run time you can show only the required table and other tables you can hide.
