  • CONCURRENT PROGRAMS

    hi all,
    Concurrent programs(sql*plus), actually i write a script(test.sql) and attach it to the concurrent programs.
    Is that possible i can call that scripts in any of my custom forms in apps and if so!
    can anybody tell me the steps...
    or suggest any other methods

    You can use the FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST package function to submit any concurrent program you may have defined. See the Oracle Applications Developer's Guide on how to use this and related packages.

    There are two ways to look at what error the PLSQLBLOB API is throwing.
    1) Call your PLSQLBLOB API GNE_PO_CREATE_FILE_ATTACHMENT.Gne_Create_File_Attachment directly from a PLSQL block and verify that it returns the BLOB data successfully.
    You could also call another WF API that in turn executes the PLSQLBLOB API internally. For example,
    <pre>
    declare
    l_document blob;
    l_doctype varchar2(240);
    l_aname varchar2(90);
    begin
    dbms_lob.CreateTemporary(l_document, true, dbms_lob.Session);
    -- 207046 - This is the notification id of your failed workflow
    -- PO_REPORT - Document type attribute
    -- 'text/html' - Content Type being generated for
    Wf_Notification.GetAttrBLOB(207046, 'PO_REPORT', 'text/html', l_document, l_doctype, l_aname);
    -- Print the size of the document here to verify it was fetched correctly
    end;
    </pre>
    2) Turn on log for SYSADMIN user with following attributes.
    Log Enabled = TRUE
    Log Level = ERROR
    Log Module = wf.plsql%
    Restart the Workflow Deferred Agent Listener and Workflow Notification Deferred Agent Listener and run your workflow process. Search for log messages written for above context and you can identify the error at wf.plsql.WF_XML.GetAttachment module with message starting as "Error when getting BLOB attachment ->"
    Hope this helps.

  • Reg emailing the output of a concurrent program as an attachment

    Hi,
    Our requirement is to email the output of a concurrent program?(SQL*PLUS Report Output) as an attachment to the supplied Email Id, without using seperate Shell Script.
    We have configured a printer and passed the Printer Driver argument as
    uuencode $PROFILES$.FILENAME Budget_Report.csv | /bin/mailx -"Cisco AS Budget Report" $Email_id
    The Problem is we are passing the Email address directly to the command.Can't we use the Parameter value to that command?
    And also a junk character 'end gets displayed in the mail body.
    Sometimes the concurrent Program ends with warning message as
    APP-FND-00500 : AFPPRN received a return code of failure from routine FDUPRN.
    An error occured while AOL tried to spawn the print process.
    Please suggest some ways on getting proper output?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    Email address can be Profile Option - create a new profile option, set value and reference like the $PROFILES$.FILENAME.
    For logging pipe standard out and error to a logfile. Note I haven't tested the command below, just to give you an idea. Would be better to create a shell script then you can change without having to go to the Printer Drivers and bounce Conc Mgr.
    Ie. if you profile option is XX_EMAIL_ADDRESS then
    uuencode $PROFILES$.FILENAME Budget_Report.csv | /bin/mailx -"Cisco AS Budget Report" $PROFILES$.FILENAME >/mypath/myfile 2>&1
    With regards to the failure, if your uuencode or mailx returns 1 (ie, can't find file or whatever) then your print job fails. This is why you should either log or create shell script to handle the error better.
    Regards,
    Gareth

  • How to send concurrent program output file as an attachment in the notification mail

    Hi All,
    We are on Oracle apps version - 11.5.10.2
    We have a requirement wherein we need to send the concurrent program output file as an attachment while sending the notification mail to the user.
    Currently we have tried the approach wherein we are specifying the user id in the OPTIONS tab (Notifying the following people) while submitting the concurrent program.
    But using this approach, the user gets only the URL of the output file in the notification mail and not the output file as an attachment.
    Kindly let us know if anyone has incorporated the logic to send the output file as attachment in the notification mail.
    Please Note - We do not want any custom code to be written to send the attachment.
    Any pointers to this will be helpful.

  • Need to attache concurrent program to Payment Actions Screen

    Hi ,
    Does anyone have an idea how to attach a concurrent program to Payment Actions screen "Print Remittance Advice" , i need too put my reports there , as when user choose it , it should bring that report(payment voucher report) to user with the opened payment & print it for him

    Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
    What do you mean by "attach a concurrent program to Payment Actions screen "Print Remittance Advice""? Are you trying to customize the form and add a button to print the report from there? If yes, use FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST API -- https://forums.oracle.com/forums/search.jspa?threadID=&q=%22FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST+%22&objID=c3&dateRange=all&userID=&numResults=15&rankBy=10001

  • FNDLOAD Command to attach concurrent program to existing Request Group

    Hi,
    Is there any FNDLOAD command to attach concurrent program to existing request group. The requirement is, Concurrent Program should be migrated and automatically get attached to the existing request group.
    Thanks,
    Rama

    You cannot do the request group assignment as part of loading the concurrent program with FNDLOAD. However, afcpreqg.lct looks as though it can download a Request Group Unit with something like (not that I have used this):
    FNDLOAD <USERID/PASSWORD> 0 Y DOWNLOAD @fnd:patch/115/import/afcpreqg.lct <output file>.ldt REQUEST_GROUP_UNIT APPLICATION_SHORT_NAME=<RG's APP> REQUEST_GROUP_NAME=<RG's NAME> UNIT_NAME=<CP's SHORT NAME>
    A bit of pain if you need to download a number of Request Group assignments for a Concurrent Program, but possible all the same, by the look of it.

  • Rtf template not showing as uploaded in concurrent program

    Hello
    I have created xml data definition and uploaded a rtf template. Then linked it to my concurrent program. But when i ran the concurrent program successfully all i get is the xml output. Upon closer inspection it shows that no template is uploaded. Yet in xml publisher it shows as uploaded.
    so my question is: what can prevent a rtf template from attaching to a concurrent program?

    If you and send the template, it would be helpful.
    kindly send it to [email protected]

    Connect to your required schema, create a synonym on apps.fnd_request, connect from apps and finally execute grant all on apps.fnd_request to all.
    You can check for relevance from Doc ID: Note:147495.1
    Please do keep in the mind the soultion above should be applied to a test/dev EBS instance first.
    I hope this would be of help.

  • How to run a concurrent program from Menu List

    Hi Guys,
    I am working in HRMS. And did the following steps.
    1. Created one concurrent program "Payroll Variance Report" as per customer's requirement.
    2. Now user wants me to luanch this consurrent program from the People Form i.e. Reponsibility->People Form (on the same form, on the top of it 'Tools' bar is there where I need to attach one prompt "Pyaroll Variance Report" to its list). The moment user clicks on this "Payroll Variance Report" option of 'Tools' list, it should launch the concurrent request. I hope I make you understand my requirements. This is very urgent. Kindly give me you suggestions.
    Looking forward to your replies.
    Thanks
    Sunil

    Use FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST API.
    Search the forum, My Oracle Support, eTRM, and the Developer guide for details about using this API.

  • How to call a concurrent program from a Custom JSP page.

    Hi,
    I have a custom JSP page which i have deployed by creating a form function with the path of the JSP Page
    and added the JSP Page to the OA_HTML top.
    Now, i need to call a concurrent program from the JSP Page, i have all the parameters in my page and i am using the standard class as below:
    ConcurrentRequest cr= new ConcurrentRequest(con);
    int requestId= cr.submitRequest("XXINV",programName,null,null,false,vec);
    I have verified my connection object and it is OK but i am getting the exception that user is not set to run the program.
    I tried the below code in my JSP page and getting -1 for all test variables :-
    int userId = wctx.getUserId();
    int respApplId = wctx.getRespApplId();
    int respId = wctx.getRespId();
    I think i need to set the context in JSP page to run the program..
    Pls help ....
    Regards
    Saurabh Jaiswal

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply,,,
    This is a possible solution but this will allow to run the program anyhow.
    But the procedure which i call thru callable statement will start with
    fnd_global.apps_initialize (3825, 50603, 704);
    fnd_request.submit_request API call.
    Now, the values of user and Responsibilty is required in the program and it changes.
    With this approach we have to hardcode the user and resp.
    The same JSP page is attached to other responsibilities and there the concurrent program would get fired as if fired from the resp Id hardcoded as above.
    Need to capture user Id and RespId.
    How can i set the apps Context in JSP page???
