Attachment indicator in an FI document

Hi,
In my current project for every FI document created the end user needs to attach a scanned pdf document. My query is that they want a feature where in they can trace that every document cretated in the system has this attachment... Is there any standard feature which will pull up a report or something which can give the info that doc no 5700000000 has the pdf attachment??

In addition to the last poster's suggestion - just so you know, it also depends on the email program the recipient uses as to how they will see any attachments - for instance, when I am using my Yahoo Mail, I am absolutely unable to view any attachment within the browser window - Yahoo forces me to download it; there is no way for me to check it (like a preview) to see if I want to download it or not.
And, FWIW: the window shown in the screenshot does not show on my version of Mail 5.1 (which is the latest for 10.7.2); the only one similar shows when viewing a message received with an attachment, not while sending one. So that must be a different version.

I don't have any problem attaching just a MS Word file in Mail. My process is pretty simple....with a message open I click the attach icon (paperclip) at the top of the message, then navigate to where the file is located and select it. I make sure I have the cursor at the bottom of the new message below my signature line. FWIW I use MS Word 2011.

Function module to find the attachment list for an accounting document?

Is there a function module to find the attachment list for an accounting document? Or which table stores such references?
I know I can find this info from the transaction FB03, but is there a function module to find the attachments for an accounting document? So far I only found the attachments are stored in the table SOOD, and archived documents in table TOA03, but I can't find the table that stores the links between the accounting document and its attachments?

how could i attach music to a word document, so when i open this word document i can hear the specific music playing?
and if there is a way, would i be able to email this musical word document?

The closest I can come to it is if you have an mp3 music file, in Word select Insert>Movie. Select that file.

My requirement is that, I need to attachminimum 5 original documents in a Document Info Record (DIR). However, when I attach the more than 2 documents system is showing a n error. More than 2 documents is not possible.
1. Can we attach more than 2 original doc. in a DIR??
2. If Yes, Where I need or do the settings?? (Or) Is it SAP standard???

Dear Prabu,
please check in transaction DC10 if the flag 'Use KPRO' is set for the used document type. If you use the KPRO storage logic you can add an unlimited number of originals. In case this flag is not set in DC10 then only the former storage types (archive, vault, SAP-SYSTEM) are available and here you have a limit of only 2 original files per document info record.

double-click opens Excel Office 2011 for mac without the document.
It should open the document in Excel 2010 for Windows.

In Parralells, choose the file you want to open.
Right Click on it and choose Properties.
In the General Tab you will see "Opens with:"
Click the "Change ... " button.
Then choose Excel 2010. The checkbox below should be set to "Always use ... "

When was it "The inspector never did open."?
If you have deleted the document what was there to work with?
You create a document then go to:
Inspector > Document > Document > check Require password to open > fill in Password details > Set Password
Then when you go to open the document (after you close it) it will ask you for the password.

Document attached indicator in PR/PO

Dear Team,
We are using DMS in conjuction with Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order.
When a document is attached with PR/PO line item,
it can be seen by selecting the PR/PO line item and clicking on "Documents" button.
But there isn't any indicator which indicates that PR/ PO line item contains documents. So in cases where there are many line items in PR/PO, it is really difficult to know which line item contains documents and which are not.
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Attachments are for example PDF documents, which we attach in a booking document.
Ist there a possiblility to have in the list for open items an indicator for attachments?

Hi Ina,
I think I saw something on the forum quite a while back about using BADI FI_ITEMS_MENU01 or something like that. There you might be able to create an icon that calls the object services with your attached documents. Have a search through the forums.

How to Print a Mail attachment that is a Word document?

I'm working on a community project and other members of the group are sending their work which they have printed on Word on their PC as attachments to an email. I can open and read the documents, but am not able to print them.
I get a popup from Microsoft telling me I have to purchase Office 2004 if I want to print these out. With Text Edit, AppleWorks, iWork already installed, why should I have to purchase another product?
Is there any alternative?

Hello and welcome to the Discussions.
While in the message with attached xxxxx.doc file, control-click over it, and choose Open With, and then choose Pages. While you may get an occasional font substitution, you will be able to print. Same, but choose TextEdit.
Apparently you have allowed OSX to choose the demo version of Office that came on your (new) Mac to open these documents. This will only last for 30 days, I think, and you should probably remove it, to avoid confusion.
However, did you buy iWorks, or is the version installed more than a demo of it?

I assume you are trying to attach a PDF to an email. I can perform this task several ways.
With a Finder window open and the PDF showing in that window, drag the PDF to the Mail app icon on the dock. This creates a new email and attaches the PDF to it. (PDFs tend to attach in inline view mode, that is you can see the entire document. To see it as a file icon right click on the PDF text and select View as Icon.)
I can drag the PDF directly into an open new email message if both the email message and the PDF file can be seen.
There's an icon on the Mail toolbar that looks like a paper clip. Click on it to get a file selector and drill down until you see the PDF. Select it and click OK.
Select Attachments from the Edit menu and choose Attach file to end of message

Do you know what we can do in order to validate duplicity for documents with special G/L Indicator?

Not quite sure if these BAPI's work for service orders in CRM (cause that is probably what you are looking for), but here is some code for retrieving documents for service orders (or business transaction in general):
DATA : lr_crm_document           TYPE REF TO cl_crm_documents.
Get header info object.
    SELECT SINGLE * FROM crmd_orderadm_h
           INTO lw_orderadm_h
           WHERE guid = iv_guid.
Retrieve all documents linked to current business transaction.
    CREATE OBJECT lr_crm_document.
    ls_business_object-instid = lw_orderadm_h-guid.
    ls_business_object-typeid = lw_orderadm_h-object_type.
    ls_business_object-catid = 'BO'.
Get info documents.
    CALL METHOD lr_crm_document->get_info
