Attachment of file type PDF/JPG

Hi guys,
I have following requirement in my Z development
1) I want to attach only PDF or JPG files to a document no
   generated thru this development. I am using
   <u>SO_WIND_ATTACHMENT_CREATE_API1</u> FM. Is there any
   other FM to accomplish this task.
2) How to delete the attachment. Above FM is not
   returning any information about FOLDER ID, OBJECT ID
   LOGSYS etc. Nor there is any FM in this group (SO91)
   to delete attachment.
3) How to get session id of a GUI session? I want it as
   part of tdname for creating long text  on line item
   since in create mode document no is generated only
   after saving the document.
Thanks.

  • How to define the application to use for opening each file type (pdf, jpg,...)

    I installed an external application, and this new application has been configured by defect that it will be used to open all files with extensions like jpg, pdf, etc...
    I want to revert this situation and define again the proper application I want to use for opening each file type. How can I do this in Lion?
    Thanks,
    Azaldier

    Pick a representative file.
    Get info. (Command-i)
    There you will see a place "Open with" where you can select the application for that file.
    Hit the "Change all..." button to do this for all files of this type.

  • Using the value "Image/*" for the accept attribute of the HTML input Element, how can I add .pdf to the array of preconfigured file types (.jpe, .jpg, .jpeg, .?

    On a form, using the value "image/*" for the accept attribute of the HTML input Element, how can I add .pdf to the array of pre-configured file types (.jpe, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .bmp, .ico, .svg, .svgz, .tif, .tiff, .ai, .drw, .pct, .psp, .xcf, .psd, .raw)?
    Say I wanted to add .gif, .jfif or .ico. I find this array limited, how can I add types to image?
    <input type="file" name="file" accept="image/*" id="file" />
    mimeTypes.rdf does not seem to allow this.

    ''mimeTypes.rdf'' has nothing to do with web development. It's a file that stores your file handling preferences (e.g. if you want ZIP files automatically saved or opened).
    You can't change the file types of the pre-defined content specifiers (audio/*, video/*, image/*), but you can specify additional MIME types. To add PDF to your above example,
    <pre><nowiki><input type="file" name="file" accept="image/*,application/pdf" id="file" /></nowiki></pre>

  • Ipad 4: how do I attach multiple file types to an email?

    Hello,
    I have seen multiple threads on this topic saying you can only do attachments in an email (other than photos or videos) by going to the app that holds the file and emailing it from there (ex: go to adobe reader or ibooks to email a PDF). This work around seemed sufficient for some people but I have need to attach a JPG, PDF and .doc to a single email. How do I do this within the ipad's built in email app? Is this impossible and if so are there other free email apps that someone can reccmmend?
    I find the ability to only email files from within its parent app to be cumbersome and not in keeping with Apple's style of making one's life easier and more efficient. In fact this seems woefully backward and goes back to the early days of computing. I get it that emailing from within a particular app is necessary but so is the ability to attach multiple file types from within the email app. :-(
    So frustrated!!

    The GoodReader App can manage files and create emails consisting of multiple files types.

  • No option to attach word file or PDFs to mail servers

    Hi
       I have iPhone 4S and configured gmail account with it now  I couldn't  attach word file or PDFs to send. I could b able to attach images and videos files without issues
    It's very urgent please suggest a solution ASAP

    The only thiong you can access from within the native mail app is the Photos app (images and video). To send another type of file in an email, you need to start from the app you use to store or read the file, typically by tapping the action icon (box with an arrow) and selecting Mail.

  • How to attach .bat file in PDF

    Hi all. I'm the proud new owner of Acrobat 9 Professional and am trying to use this for an IT task with a client we have. We would like to put together a tutorial on how to add a company user's mapped drive (in Windows) in Word, however I'd also like to put an option that would allow the user to have this automatically created via custom batch file attached to the PDF. I was trying to do this with the Link tool, however it seems it tries to run the file with an absolute path with that of the original, or because of security settings it refuses to open entirely. How can we accomplish this for users that may have a wide variety of Acrobat versions without having them go through other steps that set any security methods? I know more often than not this is regarded as a malicious file type and Acrobat is right not to trust it by default, so if there are any other recommended methods that may accomplish this same task I'm open to suggestions.

    I agree, however these instructions may be destined for users that are using their personal machines (ie. not on a domain subject to our group policy) so walking them through another series of steps to show extensions really defeats the purpose of providing a batch file in the first place. Are there other options?
    What about if I simply attach the batch file to the PDF and instruct them to download and run it? Will attached files show up in the attachments pane automatically? Do any trust rights need to be set by end users?

    Dear Guru ,
    I have encountered an issue which i am not able to resolve .
    The issue is like this I need to upload any kind of file type(such as .txt, .xls, .pdf, .doc, .jpeg, .bmp)
         and need to send that file send that particular file and the same file type format attached in the mail.
    how i should approch to get solution to this issue.
    I have gone through the all prog refered in the code gallry (related to send mail with attachment) but i am not able to find out any prog which is giving guidine line attach any kind of file type from the PC (most of the prog is with either taking filetype .txt, .xls or RAW) and send it via mail .
    Need  proper guideline to resolve this issue.... how i should approch to solve this.....
    Thanks & regards
    Saifur Rahaman

    Dear Saha Da,
    Yes saha da i know using SO00 or Sap Business Workplace (SBWP) you can send it.
    But the requirment is like this it must have to do from the selection scereen of the prog .User can save the path of the file which is residing in pc in a variant and from that variant prog will run in background to automate the process.
    We can do it using harcoding the filetype while uploading data from the selection screen.
    But we have to provide the flexiblity to the user so that he/she can change to any file or any file path.
    I am not pretty sure but i my plan i am thinking 1st i will provide the provision of uploading the file into sap application server and from there we will read the file type , file content and send it to mail.
    I know it can be done but right now dont know how it can be done ..... but i will findout...
    Can you give me some more guideline reagrding this.

  • Method createResource to Specify  file type of JPG TYPE or DOC type ?

    Hi Experts i am using KM API's in WebDynpro JAVA to upload file into the Content Management of
    Portal EP7.0. Below is the Code Excerpt, which works fine and file gets uploaded.
    Problem is when i browse thru portal to path uploaded on KM  i see the file ICON stating it a BINARY
    file. How can i change the ICON to read correct type.
    is there a way when calling the createResource to state that this file is of  JPG TYPE or DOC type.
    IWDClientUser wdClientUser = WDClientUser.getCurrentUser();
    com.sap.security.api.IUser sapUser = wdClientUser.getSAPUser();
    com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser ep5User =
    WPUMFactory .getUserFactory().getEP5User(sapUser);
    ResourceContext resourseContext = new ResourceContext(ep5User);
    RID pathRID = RID.getRID("/documents/Public Documents/MYDATA"); //Root Directory
    IResourceFactory resourseFactory =  com.sapportals.wcm.repository.ResourceFactory.getInstance();
    ICollection collection = (ICollection)resourseFactory.getResource(pathRID, resourseContext);
    }InputStream stream = resource.read(false);
    String resourceName = resource.getResourceName();
    String resourceExtn = resource.getResourceType().getFileExtension();
    com.sapportals.wcm.repository.Content content =
    new com.sapportals.wcm.repository.Content( stream,"application/octet-stream",-1,"UTF-16");
    com.sapportals.wcm.repository.IResource new_resource =
    (com.sapportals.wcm.repository.IResource) collection.createResource(resourceName, null, content);
    Greetings
    Prashant

    Hi Satish,
    Thanks for the code excerpt. i already know the file type ,
    String resourceExtn = resource.getResourceType().getFileExtension();
    My problem is that after uploading the file in KM,  file is displayed as Binary type... check below tutorial on PAGE 14, the file has icon binary....not the .DOC icon.
    [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a099a3bd-17ef-2b10-e6ac-9c1ea42af0e9]
    what i want to achieve is since i already know the file type i am uploading the new resource created should be exactly of that type. so if i am uploading .DOC file is shuold see new resource as word document type . Thus it boils down to simple question
    When creating new resource in KM , whats the way to specify that this is .DOC type resource or .JPEG type resource*
    com.sapportals.wcm.repository.IResource new_resource =
    (com.sapportals.wcm.repository.IResource) collection.createResource(resourceName, null, content);
    Greetings

  • Premiere Elements 9 - Common file types (AVI, JPG, MP3, etc.) not recognized

    I just recently upgraded my system to Windows 7 64 bit (with 8 GB of RAM), and loaded the Photoshop/Premiere Elements 9 combo pack. I have run both versions 7 and 8 in the past with only minimal memory issues under Vista 32 bit with 4 GB of RAM, but no issues as far as loading AVI's, jpgs, mp3s, wav, etc file types. With this new version Photoshop Elements appears to work ok, but in Premiere Elements, I can not load any common file types without getting the error "Generic Failure - This type of file is not supported or the required codec is not installed". The other issue is that after I load the media from a given folder on my main drive "C", it's looking for the media in a folder on my "D" drive??? I tried to work this out through customer support, but was unsuccessful. This last time I called, they wanted to charge $24 for the call. I complained to the support person that they had never really solved my issue on previous calls so he suggested using the forum. Has anyone run into these issues?
    I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the software and have loaded all of the current updates, but I am not able to use Premiere Elements in it's current state. Any help will be appreciated...(note, this is the only application that I am currently having issues with on my upgraded system - all other software - probably 25 plus apps including Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum v 10, which I may have to switch to entirely, appear to be working well).
    Thanks in advance for your help!

    For the CODEC issue, it could well be that your new OS is lacking some of those on the previous, though that would not explain the JPEG, for instance.
    Going back, Windows would automatically install many CODEC's, including all the MS CODEC's. With some versions of Vista, one had to manually download and install a Vista CODEC pack. Now, I have a strong aversion to downloading any non-MS CODEC "packs," and would urge you to think long and hard before doing such.
    If you do not have G-Spot, a great, free utility, I'd get it, and see which CODEC's are installed.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
    PS - for any error messages that you get with any of the Adobe CODEC's, see this ARTICLE.

  • Limit File Type and file size in attachment table.

    Dear All,
    I want to limit file type like .jpg,.mpgv files while ataching files in attachment table in oracle apps. Also want to limit file size.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Refer below link regd implementing file upload:
    File Upload
    We can get file type using
    DataObject fileUploadData =
    (DataObject)pageContext.getNamedDataObject("fileInput2");
    //here OAFileUploadBean is "fileInput2"
    String contentType = fileUploadData.selectValue(null, "UPLOAD_FILE_MIME_TYPE");
    Based on this file type write your login in processFormRequest.
    Will let you know if I find anything about size also.

  • Best point to change picture file type

    Is there any way of changing camera file type from JPG to say PNG at the point of import the pictures from my camera to Elements Organizer.  As far I know the camera only sends jpeg format.  It seems like a long way to have to bring them all in to organizer, pass them to edit and resave each file individually as a changed file type?  If someone can give me a better way I would certainly appreciate the information.

    At import, you cannot change file types.
    It is not clear why you want photos to be .png files. As I understand things, .png files are not a good choice for photographs.
    Nevertheless, you can change file types in bulk via the Editor command File->Process Multiple Files. Again, I honestly don't think you are gaining anything by changing .jpg files to something else, so unless you have reasons that I have never heard, I would advise that you leave them as .jpg.

  • Check file type after JavaScript File.openDialog()...

    So, I'm on Mac OS and want my script to obviously cancel on the "Cancel" bottle, as well as check whether the file selected was a PDF. I've had some success with the code below, but some of the PDF's I select get cancelled with this script. Upon checking, the FilePath.type property returns "????" for some PDF's - anyone know why?
    var myFilePath = File.openDialog("Please choose a PDF file...", undefined, false);
    if((myFilePath == "") || (myFilePath == null)){
        exit();
    else if(myFilePath.type != "PDF "){
        alert("Please choose a PDF file!") ;
        exit();
    I'm quite new to scripting. Thank you!

    Under Windows, all you can do is supply a file extension (the well-known "*.PDF" filter), and it's wise to always add the catch-all "*.*" for 'All files'. That way, a user can select a file even if it has the wrong extension (and in that case, it's the user's responsibility to make sure the file is of the expected type nevertheless).
    Under OSX, there are two options:
    1. The file has the correct "Creator/Type" metadata; and/or
    2. The file has the correct file extension.
    Historically, Macintosh-based OSes used option #1, and software was not expected to look at the actual file names. However, that soon became unworkable when people tried to exchange files between their Mac and (virtually any) other systems. That lead to various tools to 'assign' Creator/Type data to well-known file extensions, just so they could be opened with the right software on a Mac. Also the reverse happened; saving a file 'without extension' on a Mac was not a problem, but to open it on Windows you often had to add the right extension.
    So, somewhere around one or two System versions ago, Apple decided to go back to the old, trusted 'File Extension' way. But OSX still saves Creator/Type metadata for files created on your own Mac. Checking the "type" should work then -- but the problem is, what if you got your file from somewhere else? The extension may be correct, but if it has no file type, your script will not see it.
    Fortunately, the Mac OSX File Open dialog allows some pretty wicked customizations. Never mind a file filter, you can run a custom function that decides for each separate file and folder whether it should be selectable or not. The function has access to all file attributes; you can go so far as to checking the file name, and reject all files that contain a 'q', or files that are read-only, or files that are smaller than 1Kb.
    Check out this piece of code (I wrote it myself, but various hints and tricks were read on this very forum):
    if (File.fs == "Windows")
        pdfFile = Folder.myDocuments.openDlg( 'Load PDF document', "Adobe PDF:*.pdf,All files:*.*", false);
    else
        pdfFile = Folder.myDocuments.openDlg( 'Load PDF document', function(file) { return file instanceof Folder || (!(file.hidden) && (file.name.match(/\.pdf$/i) || file.type == "PDF ")); }, false );
    (I advise you to copy the Windows fragment as well, just in case your script goes 'round the world.)
