Attachments in posts on the PC Suite board (Sticky...

Hi folks.
You are now able to post some attachments to the PC Suite board. This is primarily so people can post their logs files when they are having issues with PC Suite. You should be able to see option to attach at the bottom of the page when creating/replying to a post.
If you are having any problems with adding the attachment it may be because the file format is not supported or the file is too big. Supported file extensions are *.log, *.bat, *.xml and *.txt, and the maximum file size is 1Mb.
If you are having any problems attaching the files please reply to this post rather than sending a PM to the moderators.

For now, you need to create an exception to pop-up blocking for Gmail. Here's how:
While you have the compose window on the screen, click the padlock in the address bar.
* If the pop-up permission is listed there as Block, try changing it to Allow.
* If the pop-up permission is not listed there, click More Information to launch the Page Info dialog, then click Permissions in the top bar. Scroll down to "Open pop-up windows", uncheck the box for "Set default" then click Allow and close the dialog.
Then try the paper clip again. Success?
Unfortunately, that is "Google-wide" and not limited to mail, so... other pop-ups are possible that you've never noticed before.
Google indicates on their forums that they're working on fixing this, so you might check in a couple days whether you can block pop-ups on Google again.

The ‘BB out and about’ board focuses on BT Fon, BT Openzone, BT Mobile Broadband, and the BT Broadband Anywhere service.
If you are not sure where to post, read the list under each board title, this should help you choose where to post. If you are unsure, make your best guess and the mods will move it if they need to.

Hello! I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I have an iBook G4, 1.4G w/ 512 onboard. (No peripherals plugged in) - Ok, so here's the deal:
History: Yesterday I was burning a DVD. I copied the dvd to my harddrive, and then opened Toast to burn it to a disk. As I began to burn it, my computer simply shut down. I had had it plugged into the wall outlet. It would not turn back on, it was not asleep.
I pulled the power cord out, and it booted up fine. I can use it no problem with the battery, but if I attempt to sneak the power cable in, clickety click, it's OFF. Not asleep, OFF.
The battery LED's seem to be working fine, they are registering about half full green now, which is correct.
When I unplug the power cable and put it back on battery, it's booting fine. If I pull the battery out and attempt to run it on wall power alone, no go.
Oh, when I first put the power cable in, it stays green for about 3 seconds and then goes to amber, but it is not charging the battery.
I have tried a different power cable with the exact same results. So, it's not that. I also received the date/time message (back to 1969!), have changed that and it is fine now.
I am leaning towards the DC-in Board, 1) because it's cheaper and easier to fix myself, and 2) it's cheaper and easier to fix myself. I don't think it's the logic board, since I'm having no other issues except the above.
Can anyone tell me exactly what the DC-in board does and do you think it could be this? (please tell me it's not the logic board, that sounds daunting and expensive)
Thanks for any time you spend on a reply. I am hoping for some sort of direction, since I hate to go randomly replacing hardware. I'm also a cheap *ss mother and don't want to spend a ton of money.

One thing here is a little confusing. You say that if you hold down the 4 keys for a while, the power adaptor ring will stay green. But then you wonder if you hold them down long enough it will recharge the battery? I have no idea if it would or wouldn't, but normally the adaptor ring is amber when the battery is being charged--not green.
But you say that if you boot off of the battery and then plug in the adaptor, the iBook shuts down immediately. This is what seems most odd.
You might check on the health of your battery and post back with that. (About this Mac>More Info>Power>Battery Information). Maybe this will at least provide some sort of clue as to whether the battery might be a contributing factor.
But the iBook should be able to run off of the power adaptor alone, even with the battery physically removed. Mine did for weeks when the battery recall happened. So I think it's something other than the battery, but I confess I have no idea what. It seems like the iBook is shutting itself down almost as a protective measure when you plug in the power adaptor, but I really don't know what could cause this. Maybe no one else does either, and that's why you haven't gotten any answers to your questions.
Hopefully someone will recognize what is going on here.

Restating my issue / question...
When I send email from this iMac, there is a string of characters assigned. The characters are all the "alpha numeric" characters on the QWERTY key board. This only occurs when email is sent from this iMac. The issue does not manifest when using any other lap top or computer.
Hence, I have ruled out the issue is a yahoo mail matter.
Again, I can access the Yahoo mail account form multiple devices and send email without unintended assignment of character strings, but when I send wmail using this iMac, the issue happens everytime.
Characters are stacked verticaly in a column. It looks as if all characters (except function keys) are included in the string.
Any ideas?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.

Triple-click the line of text below to select it:

You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Heed that warning, but don't post it. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.
Step 3

Remember, steps 1-5 are all copy-and-paste — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
You can then quit Terminal.

Do I need to re-install the WHOLE suite or can I just install just Encore and Premier Pro?????

I'm having a problem with my Encore and Premier Pro software. I have the Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio Premium CS5.1. Encore will not allow me to burn DVDS. I'm getting an 52102 error...won't allow it to finish writing...ALSO Premier Pro stops after capturing about 5 or 10 minutes of video and freezes...do I need to re-install my software??? and if I do... do I need to install the WHOLE suite or can I just install just Encore and Premier Pro????? I can burn and image file and it burns DVDs on my old Corel software so I know its not the burner or the DVDs I'm using..I am in the middle of a big project for kids at school really need to figure this out...not getting anywhere online. Can anyone help??? Has anyone had this problem? Hope I'm posting this to right place. THANKS!

I haven't had 52102 error, but seen it discussed. Here are a couple of links

Burning the iso file to the dvd may not be the same process as burning directly from Encore to dvd, and so may not exhibit the same error, if any. See response 1 in the first link.

Unable to create the test suite file

Hi,
I imported a BPEL project to my JDeveloper ver 10.1.3.3.0. When I clicked on the <project name>.bpel, I got the
"unable to create the test suite file" error and all the partnerlinks have a bang sign (!). None of the partner link works.

Dear Experts!
Getting the "Unable to create the test suits file!" error while opening .bpel file in JDeveloper 10.1.3.5. Also, all the partner links showing warning symbol. When I click on them, getting the following error:
ERROR:WSDLException: faultCode=INVALID_WSDL: Invalid XML in document at: Start of root element expected.
Looks like partner links are not mapped correctly. Could you please throw some light, where I need to fix the issue.

I had similar issue sometimes back, error was because sample xml my test was using wasn't conforming to my code. In my case, I didn't write test suite so deployment was successful and was getting error while testing post deployment. In your case, test suite will execute.
Try to follow your xslt mapping or any xpath statements within bpel flow, it must be having direct mapping of some element from source but your sample input xml might not be having that element and hence resulting in error. Try iterative debugging by adding more elements in input xml.

What is the Chiper suite and TLS and SSL protocol sent by safari browser ver 8 from iOS8

Hello,
I have a production environment where users login in from Ipad/Iphone having Ios8 and safari v8 are not able to log on to the application.
However, on the same Ipad/Iphone when user tries login in with Chrome or any other browser , they are able to login.
I need the following help/information:
1. What is the SSL/TLS protocol version that is supported or used by Apple iOS8.
2. What is the cipher suites of safari version 8
Any information on this would be very helpful.

Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information. Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Reporting Posts to the Moderator

There are several occasions that may warrant the need to report a post to the moderator, for either editing or removal. It is important that all forum users know how to do this. We all are prone to spelling mistakes, uploading incorrect files, or accidentally posting before we’re ready. Additionally, sometimes another user may post inappropriate or offensive content. In these situations, it is very important to flag the posts as soon as you see them, as that type of behavior is not tolerated on our boards.
In order to report something to the forum moderator, you will need to take the following steps:
In the upper right hand corner of each post, there is an Optionsdrop-down menu. Clicking on it will expand a list of actions you can take. Near the bottom is the option “Report to a Moderator."
Opting to report a post to the moderator will redirect you to the following page:
Here, you will need to write an explanation of why you are reporting this particular post. This is a very important step because without any reasoning behind your request, the moderator does not have justification for performing and actions.
If the post requires editing – perhaps some confidential information needs to be removed – please indicate what changes you would like to be made here.
If the post needs to be removed – most commonly, this happens when the post is abusive – please indicate your reason for flagging it (for example, “SPAM!”).
Once you click Notify Moderator, an email with the request will be sent to the moderator. The issue is typically addressed within a business day, if action is warranted.
Please keep in mind that we are not keen on removing posts because “the issue was solved” or because assistance is no longer needed. These threads are public collaborative spaces and even if you no longer need the answer to the posted question, someone else may benefit from it. Therefore, we strive to avoid removing threads that contain potentially useful information related to NI Products.

How to find and replace the main logic board on HP4600N Laser Printer.

Can anyone let me know how to replace the main logic board on my HP Laser 4600 N. My printer was freezing up and in calling customer service, they informed me that the main logic board is going bad. Now I have the part but no instructions on how to replace or where to find it on the printer.

A Google search may turn up a downloadable service manual for the Laserjet 4600.
