Attachments with Webservices -  weblogic 9.2

Is there a standard stack available for sending attachments with SOAP ? I guess SAAJ 1.2 is partially supported by weblogic. But does this require any changes to WSDL ? SWA and SAW ref implementations as indicated in the JAX-RPC specification is resulting in errors during web service generation from WSDL
I would like to attach a WAV file to the SOAP request and invoke the web service. I would like to know the best possible way to acheive this in the 9.2 platform. Also let me know whether the service packs have resolved certain issues in this area

Try using a tool like tcpmon to see the actually HTTP headers and content between IE and WebLogic:
https://tcpmon.dev.java.net/
That might give you some clues whether there is something unique in the IE6 request or response.

  • Which webservices work with a Weblogic Portal??

    Good morning
    JAX-WS (wsdl) or JAX-RS (rest) works properly with a Weblogic Portal?

    - If that app supports TV out,the app description will say, then you need a 4G or later iPod and the HDMI/Digital adopter cable. You can also use and Apple TV abd Airplay to the Apple TV
    - If the app does not suport TV out then you need a 5G iPod since the 5G will mirror the iPpd's screen, Yu then need
    - Via Airplay to an Apple TV.

  • JAX-WS PL/SQL  Web Service with JDeveloper (Weblogic problem)

    Hello,
    does anyone know how to create a JAX-WS webservice based on a pl-sql package using JDeveloper? Maybe it is possible with a newer version of JDeveloper 11.1.2.3, currently I'm using 11.1.1.6 which only offers a JAX-RPC for PlSql Web services.
    I'm facing a problem right now trying to deploy an jax-rpc web service on Weblogic 10.3.4. Actually it seems to be an WebLogic problem because weblogic doesn't support the older standard (JAX-RPC). So I've extended the weblogic domain using Fusion Middleware Configuration Wizard like described for example here . Unfortunately it doesn't help. Deploying my applicaiton on a forms11g (11.1.1.4) domain (which goes hand in hand with the weblogic domain (?)) is successful. But anyway I can't call the WSDL or test the web service using weblogic console. Other services (jax-ws) work without any problem on the same forms domain.
    I would appreciate any hint, how to automatically produce an jax-ws web service from an plsql package or how to run a jax-rpc web service on weblogic 10.3.4. It's Weblogic Basic Server actually, but I'm of the opinion it doesn't play a role in my case.
    Thank you in advance for your hints.
    Kind regards,
    Anton
    Edit: I would appreciate any hint how to check if a weblogic domain supports jax-rpc (if extended correctly). Thanks.

    We can generate jaxws from 11.1.2.0 onwards using This is now provided by the TopLink web service provider builder, which can be via the TopLink DBWS provider wizard from JDeveloper since the 11.1.2.0.0 release

  • What's up with Webservices and BPM integration?

    According to http://e-docs.bea.com/wli/docs70/design/intarch.htm, table
    3-1, webservices are a key component of the Integration architecture,
    which:
    "Provides sample code to support WebServices integration using
    WebServices technologies
    such as UDDI, WebServices Description Language (WSDL), and Simple Object
    Access
    Protocol (SOAP). WebLogic Integration provides the ability to invoke a
    WebService
    from a BPM workflow, enable a BPM workflow as a WebService, and to
    enable the
    Application View as a WebService. For an introduction to WebLogic
    WebServices,
    see the WebServices and XML Tech Track in the BEA dev2dev Online at the
    following
    URL:
    http://dev2dev.bea.com/index.jsp"
    The only thing which comes close to this description is the BPM Plugin
    for webservices, which is alpha code for WLI 2.1. To deploy this on 7, I
    have only seen a message here describing loosely what to do.
    So is this how we are expected to use webservices together with
    Integration? With alpha code that requires tweaking to work with the
    current version? Or am I missing something vital? The quote from the
    docs suggest "sample code", however the webservices plugin is not
    provided in source, so I don't see how it qualifies as sample code?
    Somehow I also don't quite understand how "sample code" can be construed
    as a "key component".
    So what's up with webservices and Integration?
    -Lasse
    (only speaking for myself in news!)

    Your comment about the lacking of web services in WLI is correct
    and a fundamental issue I have signalled to BEA already many
    months ago. I even followed the BPM course to make sure I did
    not miss an important point. The BPM course did not deal with
    webservices because it is not available. But the fundamental remark goes further
    because webservices also have a dynamic
    interface WSCI to behave within a choreography of webservices
    within a business process. BPM is still mainly workflow based
    and intracompany. This is not what is expected as business
    processes which are collaborative and a new paradigm alternative for applications
    conform BPML-WSCI or BPEL4WS-ws transaction.
    I still wait from BEA a confirmation that webservices and collaborative business
    processes according to (at least) one of
    the above standards will be included within the next version of weblogic enterprise
    platform due end of March 2002.
    Kind regards,
    Paul Meurisse

  • Example of using session bean with webservices

    Hello,
    I am working with netbeans 5.5 (with JAX-WS 2.0 library) and using Tomcat.
    I have created webservices and everything is working well so far. However, each webservice is making a connection to my database.
    I would like to use a session bean so that I make the connection only once (at the begining of the client session for example) and store it into my session bean.
    I am a newbie in those things, I search on the Web and on this forum some code examples. The only thing I have found is this article http://weblogs.java.net/blog/ramapulavarthi/archive/2006/06/maintaining_ses.html
    When I tried this, the session doesn't seem to work at all : I get the same result (counter=1) twice.
    Does anybody have a complete example of how to use a session with webservices please?
    Thanks a lot!

    Sorry, I was not very clear in my last message.
    I need all my webservices to share the same bean during one user session.
    Then, if a page calls 2 different web services, only 1 database connection is made instead of 2. And if the user opens other pages which call other webservices, they will use the connection kept into the session bean.
    Anyway, I tried to do like it is said in your website but I can not build my project. I have an error : java.lang.LinkageError: JAXB 2.0 API is being loaded from the bootstrap classloader, but this RI (from jar:file:/C:/.../build/web/WEB-INF/lib/jaxb-impl.jar!/com/sun/xml/bind/v2/model/impl/ModelBuilder.class) needs 2.1 API. Use the endorsed directory mechanism to place jaxb-api.jar in the bootstrap classloader. I do not understand because I have downloaded the jax-ws 2.1.1 api and no other libraries are imported in my project. :-(
    I wonder if it is not related to netbeans...

  • Error in WebDynpro with WebServices

    Hi all,
    I’m getting some errors using applications deployed in WEB AS SP9 that runs as a WebDynpro IView in EP.
    Running the application as standalone (out of EP) this works fine.
    NetWeaver Developer Studio 2.0.9
    WebDynpro application using WebServices that access Oracle 8i database in the follow sequence:
    WebServices -> Session Bean stateless -> Entity Bean CMP (manage connections; generate sql code, etc.)
    In WebDynpro application we import WebService Model by the follow sequence:
    New Model - Import Web Service Model - Local Server for WSDL Source - <WebService deployed>
    In each WebServices we have created these methods:
    findByID(ID);
    getAll();
    insert(parameters);
    remove(ID);
    update(parameters);
    We guess that the error is generated in Entity Bean because all WebServices generate these errors.

    Hi,
    I feel this error is nothing to do with webservice model.
    Please check your application properties like startupPlug,Interface View etc. Set the properties correctly and deploy once again.

  • I can no longer log in with the Weblogic (administrator) user to OBIEE...

    Hi all, first post.
    We are having a rather difficult time with Oracle Support around here, and we have finally decided to support our installation by ourselves.
    Last week he had an issue where our Web catalog was corrupt (BI Presentation didn't start, showing us an HTTP 500 error). We stopped the platform, moved the catalog directory and re-started the platform, so that it could automatically be recreated. We then copied the users and catalog directory back to their original position, and everything seemed to be fine.
    Unfortunately, this was not to be. For some reason, our Weblogic (administrator) password cannot log in to the OBIEE front end anymore. We can still manage the platform via EM using this user, though.
    The main issue here is that some users created dashboards and reports with the Weblogic user, so they can't modify them now. Also, they are having several issues displaying the results, specifically with the styles. Apparently, styles were lost when we copied the directory, and have no clue as to how to get them back.
    So, my question would be - how can we fix this issue?
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi,
    I assume you are talking about OBIEE dashboard screen , when you mentioned about the OBIEE front end screen.
    So, I would like to ask you what error does not throw when you say the weblogic user cannot login to OBIEE? Does it say Invalid Username/password or An error occurred during authenticatio system?
    If its the latter, try restarting the services through OPMN and see if you can log back in.
    I do not think this might be valid, but you may want to refresh the user GUID's once more. Change the <upgradeandexit> tag in instanceconfig.xml to true and REFRESH_GUID to YES in NQSConfig.ini and restart the BI Services. Once again, revert the parameters and start once more and check.
    Hope this helps.
    Thank you,
    Dhar

    Most likely you're not specifying the path of a file on the server machine.

  • Deployment Manager Error with Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.1

    I have installed Identity Manager 9.1.0.2 (patch upgraded from 9.1.0.1) on OEL 5.3 64bit and Weblogic 10.3.1
    Database:Oracle 11gR2 (remote machine).
    **I am aware that IM 9.1.0.2 is not certified on Weblogic 10.3.1 (it is only certified on 10.3),
    The installation was successful and OIManager is up and running. Able to create Users, Resources etc. as well.
    As part of configuring OIM Connectors tried to Import .xml file using Import option from Deployment Management section as below and the following error was displayed.
    "Either your session timed out or you are trying to access a page without logging in".
    Did all workarounds like enabling java, changing browsers, restarting machine etc as per the below discussion but in vain.
    Deployment Manager Error with Oracle Weblogic Server
    Can any one suggest any workaround or solution for this problem.
    Or atleast can any one confirm there is no Identity manager available on this date which is compatible with 10.3.1? and cannot be continued further.
    Thanks in Advance

    You are facing this issue because you're using a non certified combination.
    Other folks who tried to use OIM in 10.3.1 ended up in the same problem you're facing.

    System.err.println("Cant send mail. " + e);
    The error on your code might be:
    BodyPart messageBodyPart1=new MimeBodyPart();
    DataSource source1=new FileDataSource(filename1);
    messageBodyPart.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(source1));
    messageBodyPart.setFileName(filename1);
    multipart.addBodyPart(messageBodyPart1);
    You don't need to create a new BodyPart, and apart from that you'r seting values on "messageBodyPart" but adding "messageBodyPart1" to your multipart :P
    Well see u and have a good one!
    p.s. i know it's a little late from the day you posted, but at least it might help somebody else :D .

  • Sending attachments with emails in Javamail

    I'm trying to send attachments with emails using Javamail. Following is the code through which I'm trying to achieve that. It works as expected on a JRE1.6 environment. But on JRE1.5, the content of the file gets added to the mail body as text.I want the file to be sent as an attachment.
    Any pointers on the observed difference in behavior would be highly appreciated!
    String msgText = mailInfo.getMessage();
            String attachmentFileName = mailInfo.getFileName();
            MimeBodyPart mimeBodyPart = new MimeBodyPart();
            mimeBodyPart.setText(msgText);
            // create the second message part
            MimeBodyPart attachmentBodyPart = new MimeBodyPart();
            // attach the file to the message
            FileDataSource fileDataSource = new FileDataSource(attachmentFileName);
            attachmentBodyPart.setFileName(fileDataSource.getName());
            attachmentBodyPart.setDataHandler(new DataHandler(fileDataSource));
            // create the Multipart and add its parts to it
            Multipart multipart = new MimeMultipart();
            multipart.addBodyPart(mimeBodyPart);
            multipart.addBodyPart(attachmentBodyPart);
            message.setContent(multipart);The email in case of JRE1.5 is as follows
