Attempting to remove a modal popup and the modal blur remains

im working with modal windows which are created in the follow way:
PopUpManager.createPopUp(this, MyPage, true, PopUpManagerChildList.POPUP)
Sometimes when removing the popup the modal blur remains and the other components remain unclickable. im removing the window like this:
PopUpManager.removePopUp(activePage as IFlexDisplayObject);
I found the follow bug that may be connected: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLEX-4830 but it seems to be fixed long time ago and im working with flash builder 4.5. could it be relevant here?
I thought about calling it this way:
callLater(PopUpManager.removePopUp, [this as IFlexDisplayObject]);
which work but i cant tell if it actually resolve my problem since it is not always reproduce.
any help would be really appreciated, thanks.

Got the solution. I originally made the browser modal, since the user explicitly needs to press the dismiss button before the second modal pop-up appears. What I ended up doing was opening the first window and then sit in a while loop calling Thread.sleep(500) and checking whether the window was still visible (after removing any window closing actions apart from the one I want).

I think when uninstalling you may also have to choose (tick) to delete the preferences and other personal data like the bookmarks, stored passwords etc. to erase completely. If you are installing afresh, please try right-clicking on the file and '''Run as administrator''' to install. And when uninstalling, please also make sure choose to delete all data and also manually delete any '''Mozilla''', '''Mozilla Firefox''' or '''Firefox''' from %appdata%, %localappdata% and %programfiles%. You can open a location by typing for eg. %appdata% in the '''Run''' box (Windows key + R). You may also have to check the '''VirtualStore''' folder in %localappdata%. Files in the VirtualStore can be problematic. I think a clean installation may help.

Please note that using system restore would usually damage the Firefox installation.

See if either of these things works for you. In the future ... Only update one app at a time. Forget that the Update All button even exists. It causes more problems than it does good - IMO.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.

My MacBook Pro will not start up. I only get a grey screen with the spinning wheel. No blue page appears and the grey screen remains. Tried starting with the Shift key but ineffective as well.

This final page was suppose to result in an internal system check and restart but nothing happened and the black screen remains.Where do I go from here? Scheduled for the Genius Bar tomorrow but would like to resolve this beforehand.

You may be having a hardware problem that you cannot resolve on your own. Nevertheless...
...hold down the command and R keys whilst booting to try to get to your Recovery partition. If you can, use Disk Utility to try to Verify your boot drive (usually named "Macintosh HD" unless you've renamed it). If the verification fails, try to repair your hard drive. If everything appears to be OK, restart.
If you can't get into your Recovery partition, your problem is likely hardware related. If so, keep your appointment and see what the Apple techs have to say.

When I apply smoothing to a clip, it does nothing and the video frame remains static. As opposed to moving around in order to compensate for my movement, which exposes black edges. That is what I am trying to get. Please help
These are the steps I follow. Import clip > Library > Behaviours > Motion > Stabilize. I then add the stabilize > go to inspector and change method to smooth and finally, analyze. However, it is not doing anything. My Macbook Pro was recently replaced and this is what I recall doing on my previous one, but it doesnt seem to be working for me. Is there a step im missing or something?

Smooth is just going to smooth out a little "jitter" or jerkiness in the footage. Unless there is a lot of camera movement, you won't notice much. If you really want to see Motion go to work, change the Method to Stabilize.
BTW, once the footage is analyzed, you can make any changes you want to any of the other parameters - you don't have to re-analyze. I recommend Stabilize with Adjust: Position Scale and Rotation and Borders set to Zoom (depending on the quality of the video) — or you might consider adding a mask to the group the stabilized video is in

Having put my home-page under "new windows open with home-page" solves the "blank title page problem".
One problem left: "safari" does not startup automatically as set in system preferences, whereas "mail", also set for startup DOES startup

I would like my music to be deleted from both my itunes library and my pc file. however i only see the remove from itunes option and the song remains in the pc folder afterwards.

when i delete a song from my library, i am not given the option to delete it also from my pc file as the help section shows.
after clicking delete and remove only the library reference is removed. song in file remains.

Take a look at my FindTracks script. Download it and test it out on a few tracks first. Use the No option first time around to manually confirm each path that it wants to fix so you can see how it works. When you're happy it does what you want select a larger group of tracks to process automatically.

I think this is pretty basic. Your browser has always been user friendly and allowed a high level of personalization. I don't like Yahoo toolbar thinking for me. I don't like the intrusive windows explorer 7. I am disturbed that you choose to base your system on this parasite. You have sold us out!

You can remove the Yahoo Toolbar. It probably got installed as an "optional" item when you installed some other software from the internet, maybe because you did not un-check the option to install that extra item.

Why are you using such an old version of Firefox? Your version is 3.5.7 which is no longer supported and no longer being updated, even for security related issues.

Attempting to understand object/class data and the actor framework...

I'm currently trying to understand why changing a typedef within class data of a class (named measurement.lvclass) causes all of the "launch nested actor" vi's to break. I feel like I'm trying to use a ratchet with a phillips screw or something, is there something I'm fundamentally missing here?
I was under the impression that you can populate class data clusters with information that might require read/write in different methods (the vis in the measurement class called by the do.vi of that particular msg class... we still call them methods right?).

I think I can chalk this one up to a lack of communication with another developer on the project... We actually found a realy interesting issue involving a type def input on a subvi where any updating of it causes labview to crash when you attempt to save that subvi. if I get time I want to try to isolate it and maybe post it up here for a closer look under more experienced eyes... due to being under pressure, we had to disconnect form the type def and basically update it manually which is a PITA but got the system running...

Can I get a phone removed from my plan and the remaining contract put on my contract-less phone?

I have 3 phones currently on my verizon plan, one for myself and one for each of two friends. We all paid together to keep costs low, but one just disappeared from the grid and now I have 3 phones, two of which I have to pay for, and I never got the third phone from him. I've just been keeping it in suspension for about a year now, and my contract finally ended. Is it possible to have that part of the plan removed, and have my personal phone take on the remainder of the contract time, thus removing my having to cover for his phone this whole time. I want to keep my own personal number and not have to take his old one.

As a result, you're unable to transfer the remainder of that contract to another line as each line as it's own contract end date. However, perhaps a calling plan change will help lower your bill. We are running firefox 3.0.5. When I log onto any of our machines I can't get Firefox to run. I get the Close Firefox popup and the message Firefox is already running

I can't get firefox to run on any machines. My colleagues can.
I can't find any trace of Firefox running and it still complains
that there is an existing firefox process running.

When I do a Google search Firefox will not connect me to the links. The only way for me to connect to the listed pages is to right click on the link and open in a new tab or window. I have reinstalled Firefox and the issue still remains.

I run windows 7 on a Gateway FX6000 series computer. This issue has been going on for some time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. There are not any malware programs on my machine according to the scans I have run using Ad-Aware. If I use another browser I can connect to Google search links with no problems.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Multiple TaskFlow instances in the UIShell - popup and dynamic tab

Hi all,
I have strange situation with JDev 11.1.1.6
First, I run the one, fragment based, bounded TF (named TF_A) in the one dynamic tab.
Also, run another TF (named TF_B) in the second dynamic tab.
Then, from that second dyn tab, I run second instance of the first TF, so TF_A, this time as a static region in the af:popup.
However, the instance in the popup does not show the jsf fragment at all.
This occurs _only when another instance of the same TF is already running elsewhere (on the first dynamic tab)
Otherwise, the TF_A in the popup behaves properly.
The TF_A does not have Controller transaction, and this behavior does not depend on the Sharing Data Controll setting. Is the same in both cases.
I am able to close the popup, and the application continues to behave normally.
Of course, there is no stackTrace anywhere.
Any advice ?

I am looking for a way to modify the title of window popup and the label of the close buton of the popup window help text.

Let us say that you have page 1 on which you want to show help for some item....
So in Post Element Text you can put an image tag ( for help) which onclick will call the function ...
