Attention Message

I was in the process of running various diagnostics from the HP Mr. Fixit when a blue-bordered message from HP came up on my monitor that says "Input not supported".  Everything seems to be running OK but I can't get rid of the message, which continues to move around my monitor screen.  Has anyone experienced this and how did you resolve it?
Thanks for any help.

  • Doubts with conectivity of sound blaster card with thermaltake armor c

    Hi
I have a Asus P5WD2 Premium motherboard and a Thermaltake Armor case, im not satisfied with the onboard sound of this motherboard and i want to buy a Sound Blaster X-FI XtremeMusic. My question is, the case has on the top some ports for audio and speaker that is possible to connect with the motherboard through jumpers, does the sound blaster card has jumpers to connect to my case upper ports?
    Thanks for your attention

Actually, never mind about that, the model for the HCPL0631 isn't very good. It doesn't actual have a open collector output. It also has a built in VCC of 5V, so the power supply that you are attaching isn't really being used. Your problem is grounding. Multisim constructs mesh current and node voltage equations for simulation and can't do it accurately if you don't specify the ground for your circuit.
Try adding a ground to the GND terminal of the optoisolator. You should also have a ground attached to the cathode of the optoisolator or neutral wire of the function generator. The GROUND component is in the Master Database in the Sources group and in the POWER_SOURCES family.

  • Janus DRM Support - Wh

This statement is taken from Microsoft's 0/2/2004 press release on WMP 0 and PlaysForSure:
Other music devices with Auto Sync support include the following:
    * Creative
unveiled the new Zen Micro, a stylish, ultra-portable 5GB digital music player that holds up to 2,500 songs and supports Windows Media Player 0's Auto Sync function. This device is available now for preorder at http://us.creative.com and http://www.amazon.com, and will ship by the end of October. Creative also announced it will offer firmware upgrades in November for the Zen Touch and the Zen Xtra hard dri've players for current customers, adding MTP and Auto Sync support for Windows Media Player 0. Once upgraded, all three products will be PlaysForSure-compatible.
Now, as I understand the PFS, it doesn't appear to guarantee that WMP0 Janus DRM will be supported. Can anyone confirm that Zen Xtra players will be able to use Napster To Go subscription music? I am trying to decide on a player for someone, and the Zen Xtra is at a great pricepoint, but I don't want to buy something that is not compatible with the Napster to Go service.
    Thanks

I found the following announcement from earlier this year which gives me hope that I won't be soon regretting my recent purchase of a 60GB Zen Xtra player:
<i>Excerpted from ?Microsoft's PlaysForSure Logo Program Attracts New Industry Partners and Expands to Connected Televisions, New Portable Devices,? Microsoft Corp. press release, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2005</i>
Creative announced ? [a]dditional updates that include support for PlaysForSure online music subscription services using Windows Media DRM 0 will be forthcoming for the Zen Micro, Zen Touch and Zen Xtra players, and be available in the first quarter of 2005.

Does anyone know when DRM 0-compatible firmware and drivers for the Zen Xtra are scheduled for release?

  • Attention Out of Range error message

In the middle of booting up, my G3 Mac screen goes black and this message appears: "Attention Out of Range H: 79.8 KHz V: 75.0 Hz". I've noticed the tenths number will sometimes vary, but the result is the same. Once the message appears, I cannot get into my computer. It still makes sounds like it is finishing the boot process, but the screen remains with that message.
The only way to remove it is to reboot from CD and then restart. (The message also appears in the reboot process, but comes out of it once booting is complete). I don't change any settings, just booting from CD will fix it until the next time I shut down the computer. I have an Envision monitor which is set to millions of colors and a resolution of 1024 x 768, 85.00 Hz. My other resolution choices are:
    640 x480, 85 Hz
    800 x 600, 85 Hz
    1280 x 1024, 60 Hz
The computer used to do this only occasionally, usually after one of my kids played an old CD game that would require the computer to change the screen resolution. If the power shut off while the game was active, then I'd get this message. But now it does it every time I boot (with or without the kid's games having been played).
Please help me fix this problem, this is driving me nuts!

    Hi, No guru -
The monitor setting left in PRAM governs the initial display setting used by the monitor until the settings in the Display Preferences file (and/or the Monitors Preferences file) become available during the booting process. The settings in those files are usually transferred to PRAM during the shutdown process, so that they are available at the next startup.
Some things that may pertain or help -
    1) The settings in PRAM may be mangled. This can happen for no known reason (just one of those things), or can be caused by a too weak or dead internal battery (those batteries have an expected life of only about 4 or 5 years under best-case circumstances). Suggestions for this -
        • reset PRAM. This should return the monitor to an initial default setting of 800x600. Once the machine is fully booted, open the Monitors control panel and make sure the setting is the correct one. Then shut down (don't use Restart) and reboot a couple of times.
Article #HT1379 - How to Reset PRAM and NVRAM
        • replace the internal battery if it is more than 4 years old, or if it is your practice to leave the machine unplugged regularly or for an extended period. You should be able to find a replacement at places like RadioShack for about US$17, cheaper on-line.
    2) Either the Display Preferences or Monitors Preferences file (or both of them) may be damaged or corrupt. The solution for this possibility is to throw away the suspect prefs file, then restart. A new one with default settings will be created automatically. Once restarted (it will probably boot using 800x600 as the resolution), open the Monitors control panel and redo your settings. Then shut down (don't use Restart) and reboot.
    3) Make sure that you have the separate Monitors control panel and Sound control panel, and not also a combined Monitors&Sound control panel.
If your G3 is not an iMac (hence has a separate monitor) and the monitor is a CRT type, it may have its own internal PRAM where it retains some settings, even wrong ones. The way to reset that PRAM on many CRT monitors which have separate video and power cables - power everything down, disconnect the video cable from the Mac. Then turn the monitor on, wait 15 to 20 seconds, then turn it off; wait about 10 seconds, then repeat the cycle, 3 or 4 times. Then reconnect the video cable and boot back up.

  • Trying to open link in email messages gives Attention:internal error

Trying to open a link in an email sent to me yields message: Attention: internal error. No other info is given. I successfully opened this link a few days ago more than once, but now all I get is the error message noted above. What to do?

Are you clicking the link on your webmail site (e.g., Hotmail, Yahoo! mail, Gmail) or in an external mail program (e.g. Windows Mail, Thunderbird)?
If you compare the URL of the link to the URL of the error page, are they the same?
If all the errors occur on the same site, try going to the top level of the site and...
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try the links again. Any improvement?

  • Error message - Attention and ready lights are on

    My printer has stopped working.
I have an error message where both the Attention and ready lights are on.
In the user manual, it states that The product has experienced a fatal error
    from which it cannot recover.
I have tried turining off and on again, and the error persists.
We had a power outage, and the problem started after that.
    What should I do?
Is there a fix to the problem?

    Hi @TomRem ,
I see that the printer is in a error code, the Attention and Ready lights are on. I would be happy to help you.
Here is a document with the error message and the full reset for the printer. Please go to Solutions for Attention and Ready lights on. Blinking Lights on the HP LaserJet Pro CP1025 and CP1025nw Color Printers.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Since this issue happened after the power outage, I would suggest to try another power cable. One off a monitor will fit the Laserjet, just for testing purposes. Maybe try another outlet in another room on a different breaker, just to rule that out.

  • Attention, Korean Language Input, very important message from a BB fan

Dear all, who cares about it !!!
Recently I bought a Z10 here in Dubai, paid full in cash. Although I am native Korean living and working in Korea, currently working in Dubai as a PM for a certain project, I have used Black Berry for over 8 years now 6th different models so far, started from black and white in mid 2000 while I was working in US.
Ok, back to Z10, I simply did not imagined that you guys are not supporting Korean language nor Japanese input when I was purchasing. Oh by the way, I am writing this message in order not to criticize, nor give any bad names of Black Berry, like I told you I have been a fan of Black Berry over so~~~~~~~~~~~~many native Korean phones made and especially designed to suit perfectly in Korean mobile environment, you don’t know what’s it like to be a BB fan and user in Korea, very much limited support, assuming that must be the reason why you guys are downsizing or pulling out from the Korea market.
Yesterday, when I was looking for a contact, I had to scroll up and down for a quite long time as most of my contacts in Google and Outlook are written in Korean, leaving me no other options but to scroll up and down, up and down, until I finally hit the one among over 900 contacts. Try it!! It is not fun especially when your boss is waiting for such a contact. That quiet moment, sweating my hand, when my boss is patiently waiting for it, here I am scrolling up and down, up and down, up and down,,,,,assuming, at least, that he was in a good mood that day, thank God!
You know, after all, all I need to do is to spend another several hundred dollars and get used to a different OS environment, but once I do, it will take much harder for me to come back to BB unless I have exceptionally good reason to do so.
I am not asking for awesome WORDS FLY INPUT OPTION for Korean (which I would love to), but let me just simply find my contact by typing in a letter so that I won’t be embarrassed in front of my boss or co-workers. Now, people make fun of my loved BB, because of that simple incident and I don’t like that I think it is absurd.
Hope you guys are getting the message, I don’t know how much longer I can wait until you come up with some solutions and I completely understand your difficulties, I guess, but let us know. If you guys are not planning to support Korean nor Japanese for a while, I need to buy a new phone today. As it is starting to cause some problems at work.
Oh by the way, have you accounted how many Korean or Japanses BB fans out there?? 20M? 30M? I don't know what you guys are doing...
Finally, some of you guys owe some answers for many BB fans out there...
    Sincerely,
From a long time BB fan, who is about to leave that reputation...

First and most important, do not call the number, do not let them have access to your Mac, and DO NOT pay them anything.
All such warnings like this are scams. You are not infected with anything, and nothing has been installed or downloaded to your Mac.
Force quit Safari. Hold the shift key down and relaunch it. If that alone doesn't do it, temporarily disconnect from the Internet and repeat. If the page appears, you will be able to move away from it or close it's tab since the scam pop-up can't contact the remote server to keep you stuck. Reconnect to the Internet after clearing the page.
