Attributes in ra.xml

          Does anyone know how can I programmatically access the following attributes from
          ra.xml
          <spec-version>1.0</spec-version>
          <eis-type>...</eis-type>
          <version>1.0</version>
          thanks

          You can create a class implementing "javax.resource.cci.ResourceAdapterMetaData"
          interface. In this class u can have all these details as getter and setter methods.
          Also you can include <config-property> in ra.xml and get values from it in the
          program. You should have the corresponding getter and setter methods for each
          property in your code.
          For eg,
          <config-property>
          <config-property-name>server</config-property-name>
          <config-property-type>java.lang.String</config-property-type>
          <config-property-value>192.168.66.144</config-property-value>
          </config-property>

    Hey
    Ur XML is not correct,it must be something like this
    <root>
    <StatementName1>
    <dbTableName action=”UPDATE” | “UPDATE_INSERT”>
    <table>realDbTableName</table>.....
    </StatementName1>
    if u look at the receiver structure of /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/06/01/file-to-jdbc-adapter-using-sap-xi-30 this blog,action is an attribute of TEST and not STATEMENTNAME,for ur structure its an attribute of Statement2
    can u send ur receiver structure?

  • Imported XSLT cannot create attributes for generated XML element

    I have two xslts. One imports the other.
    The imported xslt creates XML elements with attributes and this XML is stored in a variable in the main stylesheet
    If I perform the transformation with JRE prior to 1.6.0.18 then all works fine
    If I use 1.6.0.18 or 1.6.0.19 then the attributes aren't added.
    If I add attributes in the main xslt it works fine or if I output the element directly instead of first storing it in a variable then it also works fine.
    Problem seems to be when you try to add attributes from an imported stylesheet and store the generated element in a variable.
    Below two stylesheets to illustrate :
    First MainStylesheet.xsl
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

              <TestElement xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
                   }          Note : the 'testAttribute' attribute is missing

    Have found the difference in the code
    In both JRE1.6.0_17 & JRE1.6.0_18, the class 'com.sun.org.apache.xalan.internal.xsltc.dom.AdaptiveResultTreeImpl' has the following method
    public void addUniqueAttribute(String qName, String value, int flags)
            throws SAXException
            addAttribute(qName, value);
        }In JRE1.6.0_17 the next method is
    public void addAttribute(String name, String value)
         if (_openElementName != null) {
             _attributes.add(name, value);
         else {
             BasisLibrary.runTimeError(BasisLibrary.STRAY_ATTRIBUTE_ERR, name);
        }In JRE1.6.0_18 the next method is
    public void addAttribute(String uri, String localName, String qname,
                String type, String value)
         if (_openElementName != null) {
             _attributes.addAttribute(uri, localName, qname, type, value);
         else {
             BasisLibrary.runTimeError(BasisLibrary.STRAY_ATTRIBUTE_ERR, qname);
        }Note - the addAttribute method has additional parameters in JRE1.6.0_18 but the call from addUniqueAttribute wasn't updated.
    So in JRE1.6.0_18 addUniqueAttribute actually invokes the following method in the base package com.sun.org.apache.xml.internal.serializer.EmptySerializer
    public void addAttribute(String name, String value)
            aMethodIsCalled();
    void aMethodIsCalled()
            // throw new RuntimeException(err);
            return;
        }and as you can see this does nothing. Hence the fact that the attribute isn't added.

    Hi,
    I am using JAXB 2.0 to generate XML files. Can anyone tell me how to remove the standalone="yes" attribute in the xml declaration? Thanks in advance.

    Just open the file with your favorite text program and type away. If you get a permissions problem (file is locked by...) then just stop tomcat and open/edit/save the file and restart tomcat.
    I also think that the admin context that comes with tomcat might allow you to modify/add/edit your users (not sure though)

  • How to change the attributes of an XML file

    hi peeps 'ope you can help me here i need to change the attributes of an xml file, i parse it first using a DOM parser but i cant find a way to change the attributes in the XML file, setAttribute() works only at runtime and doesn't change the attribute in the file itself. I can't find a method that will answer my question. I've searched through the forum and found similar threads....they say in order to write and change the attribute i must use the write() method of the XmlDocument class defined in com.sun.xml.tree.XmlDocument. But, i found another thread, and it says that com.sun.xml.tree.XmlDocument is not safe to use and i should use org.apache.crimson.tree.XmlDocument.....i can't find the XmlDocument class and the API for this package so i really dont know where to start...hope you guys can help me! thnx

    thanks for responding roland....i already found the solution...i didn't use the XmlDocument class because i can't find any documents about it except for JAXP 1.0 here is my code snippet...i used the TransformerFactory and Transformer class to write
    import org.w3c.dom.*;
    import org.w3c.dom.traversal.*;
    import javax.xml.parsers.*;
    import javax.xml.transform.*;
    import javax.xml.transform.dom.*;
    import javax.xml.transform.stream.*;

    dbf.setValidating(false);

    n1 = (Node)doc.getDocumentElement();
    e1 = (Element) n1;
    NodeList nodeList = doc.getElementsByTagName ("File");
    //just insert whatever you want to do with the XML...parse it..set/change the attribute..etc....sample snippet below changes the attribute downloaded to "no"
    for(int iWriteFailed = 0; iWriteFailed <nodeList.getLength() ; iWriteFailed ++){
    n2 = nodeList.item(iWriteFailed);
    e2 = (Element) n2;
    e2.setAttribute("downloaded", "no");}
    try{
    TransformerFactory transformerFactory = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
    Transformer transformer = transformerFactory.newTransformer();
    transformer.transform(new DOMSource(doc), new StreamResult ( new FileOutputStream ( fileGetFile) ) );}
    catch(Exception trans){}
    thanks for responding and keeping the information interchange alive here in the forum...

  • Create an attribute on an xml node

    Hello,
    I can't find how to make an attribute on an xml node using javascript.
    I have found assignNode() to create a node but nothing about attribute.
    Does anybody know about this ?
    Thanks by advance
    Samuel

    To use the assignNode, you will need to create the node first. You can use the xfa.form.createNode() method to create an object from the XFA object model hierarchy. This method returns an object reference which you then pass to assignNode() of the appropriate parent object

    hi,
    U r retriving the elements by tag name.So it just chks the tag name ie.<book> & gives u array of elements.But u need retrive d attribute of <book> tag itself.
    =Solution =====

    What my program do is to get the encoding of XML files and convert them to UTF-8 encoding files, while I need this "encoding" information of the original XML document thus I can convert...
    After reading specifications and JDOM docs, the truth turns to be disappointed, no function is provided to get this information in JDOM level 2(the current released one), while it's promissed that this function will be provided in JDOM level API....
    Thanx all for your help and attention!!!

  • Maintain attribute order in XML with a structure?

    I'm using xmlParse() to read an XML file into a structure, and then process the structure (replace some of the XML attributes) and then write the structure back out as an XML file. The problem is that I loose the original ordering of XML attrbutes when I convert to a structure, and instead end up with a new attribute order for each element that is alphabetical.
    In otherwords: <element c="text" d="text" a="text" />
    gets rewritten as: <element a="text" c="text" d="text" />
    which is a problem for this application.
    Is there a way to work with XML in CF but maintain attribute ordering (LinkedHashMap instead of a structure, maybe)?
    Thanks.
    Walter

    but using ColdFusion to process XML in this way is making a pretty big change in the XML structure.
    No, it's not changing the structure in any meaningful way: the attribute ordering isn't meaningful in XML, so if the order of them changes, then that's not a meaningful change.  In any way that XML should be used, it doesn't matter.
    When CF reads an string (like file contents) and parses it as XML, it needs to create an XML object; that XML object will adhere to the rules of XML; one of which is "atribute order has no significance", so it will not (and ought not) bother to "remember" the order that the attributes were in in the original string.  When one converts that object back into a string, some sort of ordering needs to be used to write them back, and CF seems to arbitrarily use alphabetical order.  But it cannot refer back to information that it doesn't have (the original ordering), so the original ordering can't be preserved.
    There's nothing unreasonable or that shouldn't be expected in this process, unfortunately (for you, I mean).

  • No default attributes while Parsing XML document

    Hellow.
    I have such a problem:
    I have XML document that uses XSD-schema.
    In XSD-schema there is element that have two atributes:
    <xsd:complexType name = "El1">
          <xsd:attribute name = "atr1" xsd:default = "0" type = "xsd:boolean"/>
          <xsd:attribute name = "atr2" default = "0" type = "xsd:boolean"/>
    </xsd:complexType>And in XML document I write:
    <El1 atr1 = "1"/>According to the XSD-schema parser must add to El1 second attribute "atr2" with its default value because it has default value. But when I do such a code:
    factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
    builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
    doc = builder.parse(new File("file1.xml"));
    Element pEl;
    pEl = doc.getDocumentElement()
    NamedNodeMap Attribs = pEl.getAttributes();In the list of attributes "Attribs" - there is no attribute "attr1"!!!
    What I have to do???

    Hello All
    I am new to this parsing world. I have a doubt. I have an XML like
    <xml>
    <platform name = "windows">
    <computer>
    <hostname> hostname1 </hostname>
    <IPAddress>127.0.3.03 </IPAddress>
    </computer>
    <computer>
    <hostname> hostname2 </hostname>
    <IPAddress>127.0.3.04 </IPAddress>
    </computer>
    </platform>
    <platform name = "unix">
    <computer>
    <hostname> hostname6 </hostname>
    <IPAddress>127.0.3.08 </IPAddress>
    </computer>
    <computer>
    <hostname> hostname7 </hostname>
    <IPAddress>127.0.3.09 </IPAddress>
    </computer>
    </platform>
    </xml>
    If i want to get details about individual computer under each platform as a string how do i do that?
    Which parser would be ideal to be used DOM or SAX.
