Audio synchronization

Hello,
I need your help because i've already tried many things and .. none of them worked :/
In fact, I imported an .avi file to Adobe Enore and i always got a time difference from video and audio of about 0-3 seconds ; at the end of the movie, the difference is bigger than at the beggining ;
That means, the time difference isn't constant ; so I can't move the audio to right for 2seconds for instance ...
Considering my others projects which worked ; it seems like the problem come from the FPS of the file ; Usually I work with 25.00 fps file and there's no problems. But there, the file is a 23.976 fps (pal progressiv)
I already tried to convert the file to a pal progressiv with 25.00 fps with adobe media encoder, but it didn't help me at all :/
I don't know what to do at all ; so I hope some of you are going to have some ideas ;
Thank you a lot !!!!
P.S. I'm pretty sure than the problem is from the video, and not the audio

Hello,
here is the result with G-spot ;
by the way, the render with gspot (video & audio together) is good (MS A/V)
I'm going to read the last things i didn't read yet, from your links above.
Thanks for helping
P.S. : I've noticed this error while rendering only video with G-spot :
I don't understand why there's one problem while rendering video alone and that there's isn't any problem while rendering both together ..

  • Dual Audio Synchronization Only works once?

I use Premiere Pro CC and love the features, planned my shot with the "Audio Synchronization"-feature in mind. The problem is that it only seems to work one time, one piece of footage and one piece of audio in one sequence. When I try to do it again the videoclip gets moved in a random way instead of the audioclip. Does anyone know why this is? I am working on a big project now and would really need this to work.
I am on Windows 7 with the lastet Premiere Update.

  • Audio synchronize failure

after install CC 7.2, audio synchronize failure

SOLUTION: Select all clips that need to be sync'ed, then unlink them (cmnd L). Select all clips, right click and sync. Works for me.

  • Audio Synchronization's

I am also having problmes exporting my film and having the audio synch with video. It's fine on my IMAC (brand new, fully decked out for video editing) but when I go to export it's really bad. I don't believe this is an isolated problem. I have exported for years, no problem no matter what I have in my films. We should simply be able to export our projects. Now I am stuck having only the back up on my external drive and not a cogent copy on exported film. I need an instant fix and have no time to fiddle with experimentation. If I am having the problem plenty of others will --that's usually the case. The person having problems with his audio-video synch --don't believe it is an unusual problem! Many of us are having the same trouble. Perhaps, Adobe will send us a patch ASAP.

What is your Source Material, your Sequence setting and your Export settings?
    Good luck,

  • Quicktime Pro audio synchronization problem when recording

My hardware is an Intel Based Macbook Pro with the latest Quicktime Pro S/W.
I have just upgraded to Quicktime Pro and I am trying to record video from a DV source (Canon camera acting in AV in/DV out mode). The problem I am experiencing is that the video and audio are out of sync by around 1 second, th sound seems to be in advance of the video.
Are there any setting which will affect this?
Has anyone been able to solve a similar problem?

I don't know what causes the problem, but I can give you a way to solve it:
Open your DV file with latest version 3.0 of SimpleMovieX and open the tools panel, go to Audio, and resynchronize it.
The do save, either as mov or reexport as dv format, depending on your workflow.

  • Audio synchronization problem in Elements 7

The audio in my Elements project has a background hum. So I exported the audio, removed the hum in Audacity, and saved the new audio as a wav file. Then I deleted the original audio track and replaced it with the cleaned up version. But now the audio doesn't synch with the video.
Since the project contains many clips, some of which have been moved within the project, I thought about exporting the audio one clip at a time. But I can't find a way of doing that. Even when I unlink the audio and video, select only the audio clip, choose work area only, and try to export the clip, I still get the audio for the entire project.
Ultimately, I want to get the cleaned up audio synched with the video. Any ideas??

You must change the in and out points on the Work Area Bar - this is not the same as selecting the clip on the timeline.
The quickest way to set the WAB is to place the CTI (the play line) to the start and press [Alt] plus left facing square bracket ( the [ key ). Place the CTI at the end and press [Alt] plus right facing square bracket ( the ] key ).
In the following image the WAB is set to the area I want to export. The CTI is nowhere to be seen (it does not have to be) and the clip covered by the WAB is not selected (it doesn't have to be). Only the area covered by the WAB is important.
I've tested this in PRE7 and it works fine. If it does not work for you try re-installing PRE7. If the problem remains you may need to go to Adobe's Technical Support.

  • VIDEO - AUDIO SYNCHRONIZATION

    Hello,
I am trying to export a 1920X1080 25ps (50i) file. When I export it with same settings (1920X1080) viseo and audio are perfectly synchronized. But when I am trying to export it with 1280X720 settings, audio is not synchronized. Audio comes a little later.
Would you know any tricks to fix this?

  • Synchronize the audio with text

is there any way to do audio synchronize the audio with text in flash.

  • MPEG-2 playback audio syncing issue (works in Vista but not in OS X)

    My setup:
    - Mac Mini CoreDuo 1.83GHz, 1 GB RAM
    - Elgato EyeTV 410 DVB-T
    - Sony KDL-46W2000 FullHD LCD-TV (1920x1080p)
I have a rather complicated problem with audio-video synchronization at MPEG-2 playback. I've spent a lot of hours on troubleshooting in the last weeks without coming up with a solution.
I've installed Vista using Bootcamp on my Mac Mini, and in Vista everything works fine, so it's definitely a problem in OS X and not a hardware issue.
I have a Mac Mini CoreDuo 1.83GHz 1GB RAM. I have done a reinstall of OS X and updated it in Software Update until Software update says my "computer is up to date". So it's completely fresh without any third party software.
As display I'm using my brand new Sony KDL-46W2000 FullHD LCD-TV connected via a DVI-HDMI cable. I don't have to do any custom settings for this display. OS X outputs 1920x1080 progressive without me having to do any additional settings.
The issue is that when I watch DVDs the picture is delayed on the screen about 200 millisec compared to the audio. This isn't the case on all DVDs, but on several DVDs that I've tested. I don't know the differences between the DVDs. It's the same problem if I use VLC to playback so it's not just Apple DVD Player. And it doesn't matter if I use the S/PDIF output to let my receiver decode the audio or if I use the internal speaker in my Mac Mini.
Now to the most interesting part...
In addition to DVD playback problem, I experience the exact same problem with Elgato's EyeTV. But ONLY when using their deinterlace method "Progressive scan". If I use "Always" or "Motion-adaptive" the audio and video syncs just fine.
If I playback other media-files (in Quicktime or VLC) like mov, H264/x264 or XviD everything works just fine and as expected.
As far as I can see the problem only seems to affect MPEG-2 playback. And judging on the troubleshooting with EyeTV deinterlacing and/or progressive scan seems to be involved in some way.
I also tested EyeTV on a PowerBook G4 connected to my TV, and it shows the exakt same problem.

I don't know what causing the problem, but if you play the files with VLC you can adjust the audio synchronization in its "Audio" preferences if you check the "Advanced" box at the bottom-left.

  • Out of sync audio - CC 7.2.2

    Hi
I'm quite a newbie in editing. Again a problem with audio synchronization. Last time I had to make a DVD and it was resolved simply with Encore, as a kind person here told me.
    This time, my sequence settings:
    - avchd 1080p square pixel, 25 fps.
    - 48000 hz, audio sample.
    - 1920x1080
I shot at 25fps with Canon 5DII and 650D, 1080p. I recorded audio with Zoom H4N with its crossed mics, mp3 320 kbps, I can't see if it recs at 44k or 48k...
I exported a h264 file for YouTube HD 1080p 25, CBR, and I kept unchanged all other settings. I play the file with QuickTime and I see the problem.
Please help me. Thanks in advance.

    Please somebody help me.

  • Audio Problems - Presenter 6 & 7

I currently use Presenter 6.2 (but have also downloaded and
tried this with Presenter 7.0). Whenever I try use Import Audio,
Synchronize Audio, or Audio Editor, Powerpoint crasches. That is
    part of the problem.
The other more serious part for now is that when I click on
Record Audio and begin to record audio, there is always an
electronic interference type noise being recorded over the audio. I
have isolated it to the Presenter Plugin, as my headphones record
just fine in other programs (but this does me no good, as I cannot
    import audio without Powerpoint crasching).
I am therefore assuming that there is a problem between the
Presenter plugin and my sound card (and/or codecs). I have a
SigmaTel High Definition Audio Codec. I am not sure however where
the information is for my actual sound card. It was not listed in
the device manager , only the drivers and codecs were there. There
was one the said Legacy Audio Drivers, Manufacturer (standard
system devices, location uknown, but said to be working properly).
Does anyone have any idea what I can do to resolve these
problems? - most importantly, being able to record audio in
Presenter without this electronic interference being recorded over
    the voice recordings.
I am using a Dell Latitude D830 with Windows XP Professional
Version 2002 SP2, with Microsoft Powerpoint (Office) 2003, Intel
Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz, 2GB RAM. Also perhaps important is that I am
also using a German version of Windows
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide me in
    resolving this issue.

Best practice for tables in HTML (RH or not) is to use
percentages instead of absolute measures. Using this method, we
have had no problems with the transform into Printed Doc.
    We use:
For 2-column tables at normal paragraph level, 100% and
    usually 20%,80%
For 2-column tables in a list, 90% and usually 20%,70%
For 2-column tables in a second-level list, 80% and usually
    20%,60%
Don't worry about any long, unbroken character strings in
column 1 (such as a long database column name), because the HTML
default is to grab the space it needs to prevent breaking up such a
string. If the text needs 27%, for example, it will take it.
    Good luck,
    Leon

  • Audio-Video out of sync... lag after publish

I've been searching for an answer for hours on every message board Google knows, and I find several threads with my same question but without an answer...so here goes.
    Captivate 4, Win XP Pro.
I've recorded a 92 slide 10 minute application demonstration with voice over. It it mostly demo mode, with a few full video sections. In edit mode, all the sound syncs up when viewing an individual slide. When I publish to SWF for HTML the file is 30 megs. About 1/4 of the way through, I notice the audio starts lagging behind the video. By half way through the audio is almost 5 seconds behind. By the end it is almost 10 seconds off.
I called Adobe support, and I was told to copy and paste the files ten slides at a time into a blank project. This did not help. They also told me to go to Audio > Edit > Project, and add silence peppered thoughout the timeline to push the audio out furthur. This was semi-effective when viewing from the begining without scrolling, but if I moved the scroll bar, and restarted the video, then the audio was now ahead of the video, because of all the extra time I had added to the audio tracks, as it seems when you restart in the middle of the file, the audio starts in the correct place.
What am I missing? How can I get the audio to stay faithful to it's slide throughout the entire video?
    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Hi there
Sorry, but I have no definite answer to offer. Only a suggestion for a test.
I know that Captivate has a frame rate for its video. So I'm wondering if changing the frame rate would also have an effect on the audio synchronization.
As I intimated earliler, this could be a wild goose chase. But it is an easy thing to test and see if things improve, worsen or remain unchanged.
In Captivate 4, click Edit > Preferences... > Project node > Publish Settings node and try reducing the Frame Rate. Perhaps try changing to 20 Frames per second. Then publish a fresh version and test.
Please try this and see if there is any improvement.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Why does embedded video cause audio sync issues?

    Greetings all,
I have a question that is perhaps best answered by an Adobe developer or someone who knows the SWF file format and various audio/video standards fairly well. When one drags an FLV file into the library in flash authoring tool, a window appears. If you click "Embed FLV in SWF and play on timeline", an awful message appears, "WARNING: Embedded video is likely to cause audio synchronization issues...". My question is: why would there be any audio synchronization issue? Is this really just a bug/unimplemented feature? Or is there some fundamental shortcoming of current versions of the SWF file format that does not allow for the FLV audio/video signals to be properly encoded in the SWF file? Or is it that the flash player plays SWF and FLV data in fundamentally different ways and that even if the audio/video is perfected sync'd in the SWF file, the fact that it's a SWF file causes flash player to lose sync?
I'm guessing only a Flash developer could answer this (and probably not just any Flash developer!), so if there are any out there, please spare some wisdom for a poor lost SWF surfer.
       Thanks!

    Hi:
    Welcome to discussions!
From what I am reading, you are trying to use the audio that was in the original video-right? By that, I mean, you haven't added a voice over or music-just using the speaker's voice on the tape.
If so, you might want to try using something like a Fade Out or Fade In instead of one of the transitions that add or subtract to the length of the video
    [Quoted from iMovie Help]
Some transitions (for example, Cross Dissolve and Push) shorten your movie by a few seconds, depending on the speed of the transition. For example, if you add a transition with a speed of 2 seconds, iMovie overlaps 2 seconds from the first clip and 2 seconds from the second clip as it renders the transition. This shortens your movie by a total of 2 seconds.
The Overlap transition freezes the last frame of the clip on its left and superimposes it over the next clip. Fade In/Fade Out blackens the last frames of the clip on the left and the first frames of the following clip.
    [End quote]
Or you could try extracting the audio from the movie so that you could edit it and sync it that way.

  • Audio sync issues with Flip video and PSE9?

If I upload directly from my Flip video camera to PSE9, the audio may start out as synchronized, but as the video progresses the audio becomes more and more out-of-sync.  If I use Quicktime to upload the video and export it as a Quicktime movie, the audio synchronization is fine in PSE9.  I have tried ALL the tech support suggestions, but no luck.  Does anhyone else have this problem?  I am running Windows 7.
    Thanks,
    Ron

    Hi Tim,
You need to add this setting:
    dynamicStreamBufferTime=8
The actual value can be higher or lower. The best practice is to use a value that is twice the keyframe distance. Anyway, try different values and see which performs the best for your content.
I know that the setup page does not contain this option and it is not documented in the UserGuide. We simply missed it. Sorry.
Also note that the dynamic buffering algorithms are not being used for dynamic streaming content. I tried to explain this here:
    https://sourceforge.net/adobe/smp/wiki/Dynamic%20Buffering/
Looking forward to your confirmation that this solved your issue.

  • Audio problem: jerky playback (stutter like)  but not echo or looping

Hello everyone, this just started happening on my g4 powerbook 15 inch.
The audio, even system sounds, stutter-- more like there are brief pauses in the audio, like it is started and stopped rapidly, thus no audio is lost or overplayed just silences inserted to chop up the audio flow.
I have tried the fixes for the echo problem but no luck.
What I have noticed is audio works through the headphone jack and only the speakers are giving me the odd chopped up audio.
I also noted that when this is happening if I open the system preferences it is freaking out.
What I mean is If SOUND is open and I am looking at the SOUND EFFECTS screen (where system alerts are) I see in the PLAY SOUND EFFECTS THROUGH: button (unclickable) a rapid switching between internal speakers, headphone and speakers (ispk).
If I open the OUTPUT window I see this rapid switching again, it will end on internal speakers and this chunky, jerky sound continues.
So does anybody else have this rapid start stop problem? I haven't had any echo or looping, just this jerky playback.
I didn't look at every single post here so I may have missed something related to this.
    Any tips would be great.
    Thanks everybody.

I don't know what causing the problem, but if you play the files with VLC you can adjust the audio synchronization in its "Audio" preferences if you check the "Advanced" box at the bottom-left.
