AUSST not installing updates that Adobe Server does
We have AUSST 3 installed on an internal server and performed a fresh install/sync and we are using CS6. When I run RUM against it it reports "No new applicable Updates", but if I remove the AdobeUpdater.Overrides and check against the Adobe server, several updates will be installed on the same machine.
You should contact enterprise support for assistance with this. You can find contact information by logging into the dashboard at http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/ and looking in the bottom middle of the page.

When you can not install the updates from the Help menu, go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows (similar for MAC) and install the updates in order. It is a good idea to download from the most recent back in case there are any you can skip (each updates indicates the prior version required). You generally need to reboot only after the last update.

My mac book pro does not install updates that require a restart of the computer
I have a macbook pro and any update that does not require a restart works perfectly, but if an update requires a restart (as most do) the computer will restart and the progress bar on the update will get stuck on "writing files" without moving on from this phase. I have even let the update try to install for up to ten hours and it still stays in the same phase. Any ideas?
ThanksBoot up from your install DVD and run "Repair Disk" from the Utility menu.
Repair permissions and restart your computer after each installation.
If there are multiple updates listed in SU, what I do is install 2 at a time, repair permissions, restart computer & install the next batch of 2. The max is 3 that I will install all at one time. -

Well the error message is in Swedish but says: The installation program database is damaged. Please contact the Adobe support (which is a hard thing to do!!). I use Windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1.

Suddenly I can no longer email photos directly via iphoto mail. The box comes up that says "server does not recognize username or password". I used to be able to re-size my photos before sending so that they jpeg or pixels were larger for publishing in newspapers or magazines, but I can no longer do that. Apple tech support told me to change my iphoto "preferences" to using regular email to send. But that does not allow me to re-size. Is anyone else having this problem? I don't know if there was an update that caused this or what? Please help.

That error message usually will pop up, when there is a conflict between the "From" setting for the mail account you are sending from and the selected outgoing mail server. Probably the outgoing Mail server is receiving a user name and password it does not understand. When the mail returns unsent, do you see the "Try again" panel with the option to select a different outgoing mail server?
If you do not see this panel, change the Mail "Preferences > General" to "If Outgoing server is unavailable: Show a list of alternate servers". This way, you will know, which server Mail is trying to send from.
Have you tried to set "From" pop-up menu to one of your other email addresses? If that works, change your settings in Mail to always send from this address. You can set this option in the Mail "Preferences > Composing: Send New Messages from". I have my "Send New Messages from" set to "iCloud". That is working best for me with iPhoto. -

I recently had a new server installed, a Proliant with a Windows Server 2008R2 operating system. I now just discovered that my All in One Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus A 910 will not install on the Windows Server 2008 R2, ïncompatible operating system. Does anybody have a workaround or solution?

I see that you are having an issue with installing the printer on to your Windows 7 computer.

"iPod software update server could not be contacted. The Server does not support this version of iTunes." iPod will not turn on or charge or reset settings. I tried plugging it in my laptop, house computer and docking station to charge and nothing. Also, I have all the latest software updates to my knowledge. and Adobe tells to contact Apple...
And none of the companies are telling when and if there will be a fix.

I tried to open illustrator it said: subsystem fail catastrophically and I must reinstall or call customer support. So when I reinstalled it says: I can only install one Adobe product at a time. I am not installing anything else. It does not make sense.

When trying to reinstall using the Cleaner Tool Jacob suggested, can you take a note of the location?

I have created and started a VM image and try to configure this image, but when launching the console I get the error:
"the vnc viewer is not installed on the manager server and no local vnc viewer is found."
I've read the vnc console does not rely on a local version of the vnc client, but uses the java vnc. From the java log I get:

It is not clear to me yet what is expected to be running where. My configuration is:
- VM Server 3.1 on Linux host A
- VM Manager 3.1 on Linux host B
- Connected via Windows 7 64-bit client via a browser to the Management Server. Let's call this host C
When launching the console it tries to connect to 127.0.0.1:60505 so to localhost and a port#.
- Given this information I would expect it tries to launch the vncviewer from my management server (host B).
- /usr/bin/vncviewer is installed on host B, but this appears not to be used.
- We see java vnc is started on my Windows 7 client (host C) and it tries to connect to 127.0.0.1 (localhost on my Windows client??) and not to the remote management server (host B)!?
Questions:
1 - Can someone explain what exactly is being executed (from where and to which host) when launching the console?
2 - Is this a java version / Windows 7 related configuration issue? How to fix this?
