Authentication Problem for WebService

Dear All,
I have some existing interface which are SOAP to RFC synchronous.In this I am genreting WSDL and providing this WSDL to sender side and it is working fine. But when I have used same WSDL and Provide to some other application people and when are trying to consume that WSDL they are getting the Authentication error that they are fail to connect my XI server.
plz suggest
Regards
Abhay

Abahy,
I am working on SOAP to RFC scenario so for this do I need RFC conection between Application >>>XI BOX >>>> .how can I check the Connectivity?
tcode sm59 -> HTTP Connections to ABAP System -> your ECC system -> Test connection
As far as I know SOAP(webservice) >>>XI>>>ECC
we don't need any RFC connection ..
for what purpose I have to use user ID and pasword?
For PI -> ECC, you need RFC Connection.
User id / password, for logging in to PI, will be required by source system for SOAP -> PI.
Hope this helps.

Neetesh

  • Authentication Problem for Web module

    Trying to secure a third party web servlet by attaching it to the default app.
    This should be fairly straight forward in that I setup my web.xml with a security constraint, a login config, and a security role as follows:
    web.xml
    =====
         <security-constraint>
              <web-resource-collection>
                   <web-resource-name>File Manager</web-resource-name>
                   <url-pattern>*</url-pattern>
              </web-resource-collection>
              <auth-constraint>
                   <role-name>fmuser</role-name>
              </auth-constraint>
         </security-constraint>
         <login-config>
              <auth-method>BASIC</auth-method>
              <realm-name>File Manager</realm-name>
         </login-config>
         <security-role>
              <role-name>fmuser</role-name>
         </security-role>
    I then setup a role to JAAS/JAZN mapping as follows inside orion-web.xml
    orion-web.xml
    =========
    <orion-web-app>
    <!-- This premaps the fmuser logical role to the OC4J administators role -->
    <security-role-mapping name="fmuser">
    <group name="fmanager-users"/>
    </security-role-mapping>
    </orion-web-app>
    And I've setup an fmanager-users group in JAZN and added a user but when I try to navigate to my application I get a 401 - Unauthorized (or 403 - Forbidden in newer version of OC4J) and if I switch the login-config to FORM it doesn't redirect to the login forms at all.
    This is highly frustrating as this is all done following Oracle sketchy documentation through many manuals and guides for hours but can be done in Tomcat in about five minutes.
    Any ideas anyone?
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Think I figured it out; I was trying to bind my servlet to the default application which in turn isn't setup with a security provider or at least doesn't make it directly available to modules bound to it.
    As soon as I setup a separate application (fmanager in my case) and defined a skeleton META-INF/application.xml everything started working.
    Can anyone confirm this?

  • Authentication problem for SYSTEM and SYS users

    Hi,
    I am using form builder 6.0. I have developed a form without using a database table block. When trying to execute the form with user SYSTEM or SYS following errors occured:
    1) does not authenticate and login screen prompts again and again but when I use user other than SYSTEM and SYS, I can successfully execute the form.
    2) some times when trying to run form from Form builder error 'Service handle not initialized' is displayed.
    anybody can help to resolve the following issues?
    Regards

    Muhammad,
    two possibilities
    1. You provide the wrong password
    2. Connecting to SYS reaquires to connect as SYSDBA or SYSOPENER, which is not specified with the Forms logon dialog.

  • WebService authentication problems

    I am trying to use a web service that serves over https, has wsdl that is accessible using account name and password, and then when I actually call methods, requires basic authentication using account name and API key.
    I have tried to work with Flex WebService generated by the Data import capability of flex builder 3 and flash builder 4. They both DO NOT handle the authentication...
    When I construct the webService object, it loads the wsdl (I don't understand why, because flash builder already imported it to build the service classes). This fails, because I can't specify the required authentication info.
    Since I do not use a proxy I can't use the "setCredentials" methods.
    What should I do ?

    The Flash Builder generated code still uses the underlying WebService class and it requires wsdl to be available during run time too. As discussed in a separate post, I have filed a enhancement request to exclude this during run time, pls. feel free to vote for it

    With regards to authentication support for WebServices, The WebService class has the following properties to set your authentication details
    headers : Array
    Returns the array of SOAPHeaders registered for the WebService. AbstractWebService
    httpHeaders : Object
    Custom HTTP headers to be sent to the SOAP endpoint.
    Currently the Data Menu - > Connect to Web Service Wizard does not support authenticated web services and those on https, the bug id for that is

    Web Service Authentication problem
    Posted: Jun 17, 2005 3:32 PM        Reply      E-mail this post
    Hi
    I have created a portal service and exposed this service as a webservice. I am consuming this webservice in webdynpro. Portal service contains 2 simple methods putdata() and getdatat().
    When i access the webservice i am getting the following error.
    "javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException: The User Authentification is not correct to access to the Portal Service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.GlobalData or the service was not found"
    My Enterprise portal server is configured for SSO to back end R/3 system. I have checked for portal service availability and it is fine.
    My Webdynpro and Portal are running on different machines. EP is running on AIX with SP11.
    Any help please.
    Regards

    Hi Shahab,
    Can you reproduce the issue if you create 2 applications. One that exposes a secured web service and the other one the one, consumes the web service? This would help to isolate the issue and move forward in case is a bug.
    Thanks,

  • Authentication for Webservice

    Hi All,
    I have exposed my outbound interface as a webservice sucessfully
    But the problem is I need to provide a User Id  to contact XI SOAP adapter. I dont require any authentication for this webservice client. How can I disable the authentication check for this particular webservice.
    I have seen some forum posts, which suggested me to make some modification in web.xml which will disable auth for all webservices. Is it possible for me to disable the authentication check only for this particular webservice?
    Regards,
    Jai Shankar

    Jai,
    ><i>How can I disable the authentication check for this particular webservice.</i>
    Check this thread. But this will turn of Authentication for all SOAP Sender Adapters.
    User Names and Passwords in SOAP adapter
    ><i>I have seen some forum posts, which suggested me to make some modification in web.xml which will disable auth for all webservices. Is it possible for me to disable the authentication check only for this particular webservice?</i>
    Its either for all SOAP adapters or for none . there is no middle ground.
    Better way is to use Access Control List.

    I have created web service from SE37 for Z function module which is remote enabled.
    I can see that service and endpoint is created automatically.
    I have also given PI server credentials in SOAMANAGER->Technical Configuration->System Global settings->Access Information J2EE server.
    Can somebody please help in testing the web service created from FM.
    I have already gone through a lot of links but still need your expertise on this.
    Thanks in advace,

    Hi
    Are you testing through WSNavigator. WSN  needs a java stack and  you have already set the corresponding setting.
    Please check if the User is locked.
    I think in gerenral PI credentials will be asked everytime you open WS navigator link.But once you provide the correct user it should not pop up again and u should be able to test.

  • SQLNET authentication problem!

    Hi,
    We have a setup in which the database server is running on a 'XXX' domain and all the clients are running in domain 'YYY'.
    On the client, if following is the setup, then the clients face ORA-03113 after around 45 to 90 minutes of idle time.
    SQLNET.ORA
    NAMES.DEFAULT_DOMAIN=YYY
    TNSNames.ORA
    DBName.YYY = (..........
    Note: This is not happening with all the clients in 'YYY' domain.
    Now, we thought this was a domain authentication problem and removed the DEFAULT_DOMAIN setup from the client. Still the client faces ORA-03113.
    As a part of trial, we moved one of the machines which was facing the problem to the domain of the database server and the error is gone.
    But, due to obvious reasons, it is not possible to move all the clients to the domain of database server.
    Is there any way to get around this problem?
    Why is it that only some of the clients are facing this problem?
    Why is it that the error occurs only after idle time and not during work?
    Do we need to set NAMES.DEFAULT_DOMAIN=XXX at client? (I apologize for this question but I am really confused with the matters now)
    Addition info: The database server is Oracle 10.1.0.2.0 and clients are ranging from Oracle 8.1.6 to Oracle 10.1.0. And the errors occur on clients with any version of Oracle.
    Please help us out in this regard.
    Thanks in advance,
    Satish

    I have gone thorugh the Action suggested for this oracle error.
    If problematic machine is shifted to the domain XXX, error is gone,Do you shift physically to some other network?? if yes then there might be a problem with your network. The machines which are disconnected, might be on the same network channel or switch which is creating some problem in your network. this is only luck that your failure occur when there is no activity from that client which is disconnected.
    Shift the places of problem facing client and non-problem facing client with each other and then check. It will clear the mind about the netrowk problem

  • How to use an authenticated user for a proxy call

    Dear all,
    I am currently working on a JEE application where the user needs to authenticate (for this I have configured the web.xml).
    Now inside this application I need to do a proxy call to a PI webservice.
    I would like to use the user credentials of the already logged in user in order to call the proxy.
    What I don't want to do is to use a service user for the proxy call.
    The code I am trying to call looks something like this:
         private IntegratedConfigurationIn getPort() throws Exception{
              IntegratedConfigurationIn port = null;
              try {
                   IntegratedConfigurationInService service = null;
                   service = new IntegratedConfigurationInService();
                   port = (IntegratedConfigurationIn) service.getIntegratedConfigurationIn_Port();
                  BindingProvider bp = (BindingProvider)port;
                  bp.getRequestContext().put(BindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY, user);
                  bp.getRequestContext().put(BindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY, password);
                  if (url.length() != 0)
                       bp.getRequestContext().put(BindingProvider.ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY, url);
              catch (Exception ex){
                   ex.printStackTrace();
              return port;
    The examples I found to retrieve the userdata pointed to codes similar to this one:
    public HttpServletRequest getHttpRequest() throws Exception {
              // Get runtime context
              Properties props = new Properties();
              props.put("domain", "true");
              Context initialContext = new InitialContext(props);
              ApplicationWebServiceContext wsContext = (ApplicationWebServiceContext) initialContext
                        .lookup(" /wsContext/ApplicationWebServiceContext");
              HttpServletRequest req = wsContext.getHttpServletRequest();
              return req;
    com.sap.security.api.IUser sapUser = com.sap.security.api.UMFactory.getAuthenticator().getLoggedInUser(getHttpRequest(), null);
              IUser ep5User = com.sapportals.wcm.util.usermanagement.WPUMFactory.getUserFactory().getEP5User(sapUser);
    Now I don't know how to bring it togehter and how to use an authenticated user for the BindingProvider.
    I would appreciate any hints or ideas.

    Peter,
    from the first screenshot, what I understood is that, you are calling an inbound PI web service that is intended to create an integrated configuration object (this is used for whole lot of other reason completely) but not actually calling a development web service.
    For this, you would have to generate your client classes from the WSDL provided by the PI developer for that particular service. Once you get those client classes generated, you could used the method provided in the other screenshot to extract the user and password and call the intended web service.

  • XML message as input for webservice gives deserialization error

    Hi,
    jDeveloper 10.1.3
    BPEL PM 10.1.2.0.2
    Carrental example
    Problem:
    For the Business Rule Engine I did the Carrental XML example. Based on the java application that connects to the BR engine, I created a webservice in jDeveloper and deployed it to my localhost AS 10.1.3. The webservice has a testRule method that accepts a String buf as input. For now, the only thing the webservice does is return a 'do nothing' string. This works fine:
    When deployed the testpage generates the following SOAP message:
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://carrental/types/">
    <ns1:testRuleElement>
    <ns1:buf>my xml message</ns1:buf>
    </ns1:testRuleElement>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    The SOAP response is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:ns0="http://carrental/types/"><env:Body><ns0:testRuleResponseElement><ns0:result>do nothing...</ns0:result></ns0:testRuleResponseElement></env:Body></env:Envelope>
    In BPEL Designer I create a new asynchronous process ValidateBR, with a partnerlink for the webservice, based on the following WSDL file:

    FYI: the webservice only contains a return "do nothing"
    Question:
    What is the proper way to assign an XML message to the web service?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Reading only is not possible..
    I will be still more clear in my question this time..
    I have deployed my bpel. My receiveInputVariable is of type xsd:string.
    So when i run the bpel in my console, i will be asked to give input as string data.
    So when i go to the XMLView, it will be like this.
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
         <soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Sabari_POC_Appln/DOM_Parser/ConvertToBLOB">
              <ns1:process>
                   <ns1:input></ns1:input>
    </ns1:process>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    Now, i am going to give my input like this. --- which leads to error.
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
         <soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Sabari_POC_Appln/DOM_Parser/ConvertToBLOB">

                   <ns1:input>

    *<start-date>Dec 10 1998</start-date>*
    *<end-date>March 10 2006</end-date>*
    *</project>*
    *</projects>*
    </ns1:input>
    </ns1:process>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    This xml is not accepted as string input.. so kindly suggest me some other solution.
    I also tried.. like.. making my receiveInputVariable of type xsd:anyType, it also dint help. same error occurred.
    Thanks,

  • Problem creating webservice from existing code in sjse8

    I have a java class with three methods in an enterprise app (no ejbs) that I want to expose with webservice. In sudio5 I had no problem with webservice creation but in studio8 when I chose "From scratch, Use existing code", it gives me the opting to go to my class and select those methods. When I click finish, it generates an Implementation class that has declaration for my java class repeated 3 times which is obviously wrong and under it says:
    // Enter web service operations here. (Popup menu: Web Service->Add Operation)
    The class is empty.
    I choose "rpcliteral", "strict", "useonewayoperations" and "donotoverride" under web module property / webservice.
    And as you can guess it generates a wsdl file with no webservice methods info.
    I have and am checking all forums and searching different sites but haven't fond anything yet.
    I appreciate any help resolving this issue.

    Seems this feature doesn't work properly in jse and completely removed from latest nb55 enterprise pack (only session enterprise bean case remain)

  • Authentication problem - solved, but maybe a bug in Mac OS X?

    Hi,
    I've a rather small installation with only a handful of users configured on a Mac mini (Mac OS X Server, 10.6.8). All of them use the mail, calendar and addressbook server on the Mac, nothing more. They use it with Mac, iPhone and iPad. Everything worked fine for months but suddenly all of them were faced authentication problems: it was not possible to login on the imap server, the calendar server, the addressbook server. It was possible to login using the admin account on the server directly. Moreover, all users disappeared from the workgroup manager, however they still were available on the servers LDAP server and findable using ldapsearch.
    First, I used to completely restart the server to solve the problem, but it reappeared after only few hours again.
    Second, after understanding more about the authentication process, I found the "killall DirectoryService" was sufficient to solve the problem, but it still reappeared after few hours.
    Then I found the, once the problem occured, there was nearly no more communication to the local LDAP server on port 389 on localhost. When everything was working fine, the was a lot of such communication, including queries for usernames, when a login attempt was made. I started a "tcpdump -n -i lo0 port 389" and waited for the problem again. After the problem occured, I found in the pcap files that there were a few final query attempts, actually attempts the open a port 389 TCP connection to the slapd running on localhost, which were answered with a TCP RST. Then, no more attempts were made until l restarted the DirectoryService. Using the logfile of the slapd I found that this happened exactly at the time the slapd was stopped and restarted. And - surprisingly for me - stopping and restarting the slapd happened exactly once an hour.
    I then found that it happened exactly at the time the time machine backup process was started and indeed it was possible to trigger the event of restarting the slapd by manually starting a time machine backup.
    (Indeed, I switched my backup strategy from SuperDuper to time machine the other day and maybe that was the time the problem occured for the first time. I know that time machine is not considered as the best backup strategy for a server but I wanted to try on my own.)
    Google helped my to find a hint that time machine will actually stop and restart slapd - which is a generally a good idea, since otherwise a backup from some open database files would be made, which could work but may fail. So, I thing, someone of the developers thought about that problem too and has considered time machine for backups of a server.
    However, a not running slapd can not answer queries from a DirectoryService and a stopping or starting process might indeed end up with TCP SYNs answered with TCP RST.
    My solution was to disable time machine again and from that time the problem does not occur again.
    I'm wondering why the DirectoryService process isn't starting to query the slapd again after a failed connection. Isn't this a bug? After this experience I consider time machine as not only the not preferred backup solution for a server but as completely incompatible with Mac OS X server - although, as I said, it seems that someone thought about backing up the LDAP database using time machine.
    (On a Lion server this problem does not occur, the slapd will not be stopped and restarted when time machine is running. Moreover, I saw a com.apple.slapd.start notification in the slapd.log ... maybe this tells DirectoryService to try again.)
    Cheers,
    Wolfgang

    Another problem I found with the MacOS X key bindings: the 6 key doesn't work!
    In the config that ships with SQL Developer, I found this:
    <Item class="oracle.javatools.util.Pair">
    <first class="java.lang.String">DOCUMENT_6_CMD_ID</first>
    <second class="oracle.ide.keyboard.KeyStrokes">
    <data>
    <Item class="javax.swing.KeyStroke">6</Item>
    </data>
    </second>
    </Item>
    which should be:
    <Item class="oracle.javatools.util.Pair">
    <first class="java.lang.String">DOCUMENT_6_CMD_ID</first>
    <second class="oracle.ide.keyboard.KeyStrokes">
    <data>
    <Item class="javax.swing.KeyStroke">meta 6</Item>
    </data>
    </second>
    </Item>

  • Wifi Authentication Problem in Lenovo K900

    Hi,
    I am able to connect to wifi at home network. And when I try it at office it is showing Authentication problem and "Not in Range". The password and everything is correct. All my colleagues are able to connect with the same password. I searched online for the solution and there are many other lenovo tab and phone users facing the same problem and I am unable to find the solution. Can anyone resolve this issue and give appropriate answer for this.

    This is the first time I'm hearing this issue, I'm also an K900 user but this never happmed to me or my other friends.
    Are you sure that's the right password, maybe its case sensitive, because this bug is not present in K900.
