Authorization access to value mapping

Hi,
If I want a user to have access to add new values to a specific value mapping and nothing else. How can this be achieved?
Regards
Claes

Hi Claes,
- you create a new user, role SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE.
- Go IB, Administration, Directory, Exchange Profile
- Set Parameter com.sap.aii.util.server.auth.activation  <i>true</i>: Without role no one can change now anything
- Go to IB, tools, new role
- Choose Operator incl, specify your object (Value Mapping), save
- Of coz you need as well a role for other users (developers)
- Go XI home page (host:50000/index.htm)
- Choose User Management
- Choose Role and add the user

  • Accessing ID Value Mapping table in XSLT

    Hi Experts,
    In the XSLT mapping,I would like to access my value mapping table which i defined in ID .The purpose of ID value mapping here is, the table entries will be changing in future and i don want to use fix values, XML table  which is defined in runtime.
    I have gone through the blog
    /people/sreekanth.babu2/blog/2005/01/05/design-time-value-mappings-in-xslt
    which explians design value mapping table in XSLT.
    Is there any way to access Configuration Value Mapping table in XSLT? If yes, can you explain how should i achieve it ?

    Hi,
    you can use the xivmService to call ID val map tables.
    Use tha java function executeMapping, Its a standard SAP api.
    Declare the Service in XSLT at start
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:vm="com.sap.aii.mapping.value.api.XIVMService" version="1.0">
    Call the val mapping table using below template wherever required.
    <xsl:template name="ValueMapping">
    <xsl:param name="SenderParam"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="vm:executeMapping( 'SenderType', 'SenderTypeSchema', $SenderParam, 'receiverType', ReceiverTypeSchema')"/>
    </xsl:template>
    Call template like :
    <xsl:call-template name="ValueMapping">
    <xsl:with-param name="SenderParam">
    try it and let me know if you have any doubt.

  • Value mapping access from XI module adapter

    Hi,
    is it possible to access a value mapping from an XI module adapter?
    Thanks
    Yann

    hi
    1)what is the differnce between ValueMappingReplication(Asynchronous) and ValueMappingReplicationSynchronous .
    In sync you will get the value mapping replication status back and in async you won't. In sync based on the response u can update again in case of any failure. If data size is large use async.
    2) Message type ValueMappingReplication contains Operation ,GroupId,Context,scheme,agency.
    what is the meaning of Operation??
    The operation that you are going to perform. Below is the operations list and the contents to be set in the message for the same
    Insert = all fields must be set;
    Delete =all fields must be set;
    DeleteGroup = fields GroupID and context must be set;
    DeleteContext = field Context must be set;
    DeleteContextGeneric = Context contains the starting part for the context to be deleted
    what is the use of group ID??
    Displays the different representations of an object.
    A value mapping group is identified uniquely by a GUID.
    You can also assign a name to a value mapping group.
    is this necessary to maintain all these values in Ztable and also source and target values ?? and use them in Abap aproxy logic??
    no. system creates the value mapping table. you can take it frm there. no need of any ztables.
    3) is there any Message Mapping Needed.?? and Interface Mapping Needed to implement value Mapping replication??
    You will be sending the value mapping data from a sender system. If it can sent in the same format not required, otherwise you will have to.
    4)what is the Sender Adapter type ??
    Any adapter...depends on the sender system.
    5) if I did replication from SAP..can I see the details in ID
    You can see it in Cache monitoring in RWB.

  • JPR - Access Value Mapping

    Hi,
    How can I access a value mapping defined in ID from a Java Server Proxy?
    I've tried to that with the following code:
    import com.sap.aii.mapping.value.api.*;
    public class MIGetDocsIn_PortTypeImpl extends com.sap.aii.proxy.xiruntime.core.AbstractProxy implements MIGetDocsIn_PortType {
    public DTGetDocsResponse_Type mIGetDocsIn(DTGetDocsRequest_Type mTGetDocsRequest)
    throws com.sap.aii.proxy.xiruntime.core.SystemFaultException, com.sap.aii.proxy.xiruntime.core.ApplicationFaultException{
    String senderAgency = "Source";
    String senderScheme = "Source1";
    String receiverAgency = "Target";
    String receiverScheme = "Target1";
    IFIdentifier src = XIVMFactory.newIdentifier(senderAgency, senderScheme);
    IFIdentifier dst = XIVMFactory.newIdentifier(receiverAgency , receiverScheme);
    try {
    String res = XIVMService.executeMapping(src, dst, "var1");
    } catch (ValueMappingException e) {}
    Do I need to add package com.sap.aii.mapping.value.api in application-j2ee-engine.xml?? What is the reference target for that package?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    It seems is not possible to access value mapping in java proxy.
    Alternatively can someone give me some advices about the best to way to read configuration parameters in a java proxy server scenario?
    Properties file is a solution. Is there any other way to achieve similar functionality?
    Thanks,

  • Accessing values during runtime in value mapping

    Hi all,
    We have a specific requirement , where in we have a set of fields coming from the source system. All the fields have values expect few. The few which don't have values are reserved for future use, and for each source field there is a corresponding target value and we need map them.
    We have used value mapping here, but it doesn't work for fields which don't have values.
    We have thought of  accessing the fields which do not have values, dynamically or at runtime by connecting the database of the source system.
    Is it possible to do this, if yes, please provide with your inputs and alternatives.
    thanks,
    younus

    Go through this:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/13/ba20dd7beb14438bc7b04b5b6ca300/frameset.htm
    <b>To implement Value Mapping, following activities have to be performed:</b>
    <b>1.</b> Register Java Proxies. This is one time activity for each installation. Following URL has to be called for registering asynchronous replication scenario:
    http://<Server>:<Port>/ProxyServer/register?ns=http://sap.com/xi/XI/System&interface=ValueMappingReplication&bean=localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services/ValueMappingApplication&method=valueMappingReplication

    <b>a.</b> Read Value Mapping data from table.
    <b>b.</b> Call Outbound Proxy to push the data into a message to Integration Server.
    <b>3.</b> Configuration of Replication scenario in Integration Directory.

  • Accessing Party identifiers using value mapping

    Hello
    Does anyone know if it is possible to access identifiers defined under a party using a value mapping (in my case from an xslt mapping calling a java function, but it doesn't really matter I guess).
    For party ADVDENV_US I have the following identifiers:
    http://sap.com/xi/XI    XIParty    ADVDENV_US
    INTERNAL                 GLN       1806367142
    At runtime I have value 1806367142 and I would like to retreive the value ADVDENV_US in order to perform dynamic receiver determination... would that work?
    Thanks

  • Access promoted value in an outbound map

    Hi all,
    Is there any way to access a promoted value in my outbound map. I tried using xpath but that works only if we I give the property schema in source. I wanted to know if there is any functoid that can accomplish this work of accessing a promoted value from
    property schema, not in orchestration maps, but in outbound map so that I will have 1 source schema and 1 destination schema.
    Thanks in advance.
    BizTalk Developer, Bangalore, India

    Hi Nazeer,
    Not all promoted properties are added to the context of every message. And No, you can use this ContextAccessor functoid to access promoted values which are not promoted in the source schema
    context.
    Let’s explain this process with an example. If your source schema is named-Employee schema and contains three elements in it like ID, Name, Age. And in your schema if you have promoted ID
    element using property promotion, then in the context of this particular message instance along with other system-defined properties you will have ID and its value. This ID can be accessed in the various BizTalk Server components, including pipelines and orchestrations.
    If you have another schema named as Machine which contains element like MachineID, Name and if you have promoted MachineID using property promotion then
    in the context of the this particular message instance (Machine) you will have MachineID along with other system-defined properties.
    In your outbound map, if your source schema is Employee and if you want to access the MachineID, you will not able to access it because MachineID is part of the Machine message instance.
    But if you want to access the MachineID in your map where Employee scheme is used, then you can copy the context property from an Machine message instance to Employee message instance. If you have any Orchestration before the map you can do so like:
    Employee(PropertySchema.SomePropertyFiled) = Machine(PropertySchema.MachineID)
    So when the Outbound map executed at the send port, using the
    ContextAccessor functiod.

  • How to access value mapping table in xi ?

    Hi All,
    i want to load all value mapping table data from XI to a excel sheet. how can i do it ?could anyone provide java code needed for it ?

    Hello
    Maybe you could extract it via the Integration Directory Webservice Programming Interface...
    Check this link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/46/6dca42e5c269dfe10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
    There is a section for Valuemappings there. Apparently it would be a matter of calling the corresponding webservice with the GUID of the valuemapping and it returns the data.
    Good luck and please tell us if it works!

    Steps followed:
    1. Created Table Stucture and did write a report to extract the data from the table in ECC to send the data through Outbound proxy.
    2.Followed this blog - Value Mapping replication
    When tried to execute the scenario after all the steps in the above blog, we have an error in sxmb_moni saying that the authentication failed. I used pisuper, pidiruser in the receiver communication channel
    3.Generated a Java Proxy for the valuemappingreplication interface.
    4.Tried to deploy the .jar from the above step using SDM, I was not able to deploy it.

  • Lookup value mapping table through message mapping.

    Hello All,
    I am working on a graphical mapping (message mapping). When trying to map the source message to the target message, I need to find out it a particular <b>key</b> exists in the <b>value mapping table</b>. Depending on the result, I need to map different source fields to the target field.
    Is there any inbuilt function which will allow me to do a lookup on a value mapping table, or is it possible to lookup a value mapping table from a UDF?

  • Dynamic value mapping

    hi,
    can u plz explain about Dynamic value mapping and where it actually use this
    thanks
    guna

    Hi ,
    Dynamic value mapping.is nothing but
    It is FixValues and ValueMapping under Conversion Functions.
    Eg:
    You need such a requirement. Where the values in the source are mapped to someother value in the target as below.
    1--> Mr
    2--> MS
    3--> MRS
    FixValues is used when you know the entire set of Key value pair in the Design Time. You give the Key and the value in the FixValues and the mapping checks and maps the values to the target.
    In the case of Value mapping, you maintain this Key - Value pair in the Integration Directory and thereby make changes easily and also use them in the Mapping in IR

  • About value mapping

    What is value mapping ? when it is used ?

    HI,
    A perticular object/field could have different interprtations from applications to applications and Business to Business. For e.g Suppose a particular document XYZ has an identity code 001 in one application or may be in one orgnization. But the same document could have different ID in different applications.
    With the help of Value Mapping you could map these IDs with each other, thus while transaction of the data XI will act as an smart mapper to pass the Application specific values.
