Auto Complete import statements

When I create a new Module and select "optimize for application" when I am writing actionscript I seem to have a 50/50 chance of Flash Builder auto inserting the import statements. In preferences I've selected restore defaults and under Project 'Build Automatically' is selected. AutoComplete works great just not inserting import statements. Am I missing something?

The idea behind "Organize imports" is that it should remove used imports only if it detects they aren't needed in your document anymore, either because they are duplicates, don't exist or are in the same package as your current context.
If this feature is removing imports that don't fit within those conditions, please file a bug and include a test file we can use to reproduce it on our side. The bugbase url is here: http://bugs.adobe.com/flex.

Sadly, no.
There are a couple of different ways we might do this in
future. If we are able to get to an "organize imports" feature in
the next release, we could attempt to identify and remove obsolute
imports in addition to putting the imports in order.
Alternatively, if we can talk the compiler team into adding a
compiler warning for unused imports (which I don't believe it does
this currently), then we could make a quick fix that targets the
problem directly.
I'll make sure there's an enhancement request filed for this.

Auto-organization of import statements broken

Anyone else having this problem?
it happens pretty regularly, when I use auto-complete on a new object type, then flexbuilder goes and totally screws up all my imports, causing me to have to go through and ctrl-space (alt+"/" ) each one.
Also, it seems to never put in the correct import statement for an MXML component that I refer to in my AS block. I finally just used the fully qualified name because I was sick of FlashBuilder removint the import after I added it 5 times.

You need to be signed in order to reply to posts.
One reason why you may see the hierarchical type format for the keywords is that you have keyword 'California' duplicated in your keyword list.
Lightroom will display them with "< Parent-keywords" appended to the end.
ie California < State < Country and California < United States
If you re-keyword the photos so they only use one version and then delete the duplicate keyword from your keyword list then it will display just "California".

Error in AR - Auto Invoice Import Program

Hi,
Please help me out for AR - Auto Invoice Import Program.
When i am running Auto Invoice Import Program in UAT instance then its getting completed but with error and error is not reflecting in RA_INTERFACE_ERRORS_ALL table.
Initially when i ran Interface Program in CRP instance then the program was successfull, but in UAT instance it is giving error,

Program Problems...Import Statement needed?

I am currently a student at DeVry University, and today I had my java class where my professor played a video on java programming for us made by a group called "CBTNuggets". The video went over Inner classes and the professor had us copy the code as the person in the video was typing it up. While attempting to compile the code I encountered several compiler errors on the second of the two files I had typed, I am going to first post the source code for both files, and then follow that with the compiler errors that were generated when I attempted to compile the code. If anyone is able to assist me with this I would greatly appreciate it, I think I may need to add an import statement ;however, I do not know how to implement one for user defined Inner Classes:

Newbie question : import statements

So, i'm a complete java newbie trying to make his first swing application, a basic calc. I download NetBeans 6.5, install it, and begin to code. I quickly learn about the Matisse GUI editor, find it very easy to use, and in a couple hours, the work is done and runs very fine.
But looking at my code, I realize I have forgotten all import statements (like import javax.swing, import java.awt.event ....), nevertheless the application runs fine. I suppose then that the Netbeans compiler automatically corrects my mistakes, but I want to do it right.
So, I write the import statements explicitly in my code and I get a warning message : "import unused". After that, I find out about the "fix import" tool in Netbeans, use it and all my import statements disappear. I guess i'm missing something here.
I thought import of swing classes were mandatory to write a swing application. I have NO import statement in my code, even if I'm using jFrames, jButtons, event handlers and the program works fine, why ?
Would I be able to compile this importless code in another environment (let's say Eclipse or even javac) ?
I'm using JDK 1.6 and Netbeans 6.5 with Windows XP.

Better is to learn Swing from the ground up by going through the Sun Swing tutorials. Though having said that, if you are very new to the language, better still is to learn the fundamentals of Java first before embarking in the murky waters of GUI programming. How can I get back Mail Auto-Complete email addresses?

After upgrading to Mountain Lion, my Mail no longer works with the auto-complete of email address.
My Contacts.app works fine, it just seems that Mail is no longer able to 'read' from my Contacts.
I use iCloud and everything was great for years. Mail preferences is set to Auto-Complete email address from my Contacts.
Not sure how the problem started, but I launched Mail on a 2nd computer - on the same iCloud.
Shortly after I did that, my 1st Mac no longer auto-completes email. I'm unsure if that is what set off the problem.
Also, I 'did' read Tom Nelson's article which did not work since it's not an 'alias' problem:

Also, there doesn't appear to be a com.apple.mail.plist preferences file I can even delete in Mountain Lion.

I had the same issue. After reading this solution I started poking around in the Container folder and found that there was a symlink for AddressBook that was messed up which was causing the problem. In ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Application Support I ran:

SyncServices -> ../../../../../Application Support/SyncServices
iCloud -> ../../../../../Application Support/iCloud
Seeing the aliases for SyncServices and iCloud, I guessed correctly that I just needed to recreate the AddressBook alias to point to the right place. So I just removed the alias for AddressBook, recreated it, restarted Mail, and it worked perfectly. (Note: I did the following to remove the alias, and recreate it. You should confirm what you are removing is an alias. You should also always make sure you have a backup.)
$ cd ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Application\ Support
$ rm AddressBook
$ ln -s ../../../../../Application\ Support/AddressBook AddressBook
Obviously, DrewSchatt's original solution to this works as well, but this way you don't have to delete the whole folder, resetting your preferences and possibly delete something else important (only recreating the alias, not deleting any files or data).

FYI: Confirmed flaw with Outlook Auto-Complete lists w/Exchange Online

Ever since our organization migrated to Exchange Online we noticed a flaw with how Outlook's Auto Complete list (nickname cache) operates. We've finally gotten a confirmation from Microsoft that the following is indeed a problem:
Each entry in a user's local Outlook auto-complete cache is represented by an LDAP distinguished name.
When Exchange is hosted on-premises these entries pretty much never change.
When your organization is hosted on Exchange Online, the distinguished names for your mailboxes can change without notice due to maintenance processes (Microsoft's engineers have confirmed this to be true).
There are other ways that a mailbox's distinguished name can change (re-creating a mailbox, etc.)
Outlook's local auto-complete cache has no way (currently) to reconcile changes should any of its entries' distinguished names change in the cloud.
When the entries in the local auto-complete cache become "stale" the following may happen:
Emails to affected recipients can bounce back.
Emails to distribution groups containing members which have stale auto-complete entries can bounce back.
On occasion no NDR is even generated (BIG PROBLEM).
As noted above, we've gotten Microsoft to admit that this is indeed a problem with Outlook when combined with Exchange Online. I was told that the Outlook product team has been notified of this problem. However, in order to escalate this issue I was
asked to spread the word to other customers so they can also chime in if they've been affected.
Please supply your feedback to Microsoft and ask that Outlook be enhanced to either reconcile the local auto-complete list with the online GAL, or provide some sort of notification to the user that an auto-complete entry has become "stale" or invalid.

Hi,
There is nothing called as Outlook's local nick-name cache. This resides on the mailbox and not outlook and supports only 1000 entries only. If the entries exceeds 1000 it will not function correctly.
After the .nk2 file has been imported into your mailbox, Outlook writes a value into a hidden message in your mailbox.
To locate this property in MFCMAPI, open the
Associated Contents table of the Contacts folder. Then, select the message with
Subject = IPM.Configuration.ContactPrefs.
Then, double-click the PR_ROAMING_DICTIONARY property to see the configuration setting nickname cache import. The value to examine is
pImportedContactNickNames (True = the import has already occurred).
Since you are facing issues at this point of time, it needs to be corrected. I would appreciate if you can open phone support case with O 365 team and ask them to escalate to Exchange Level , we should be able to work with
you and correct the issue

Timeline Import Statements

I have a bunch of MovieClip Symbols in Library. They all need to import the same classes for timeline code. I don't want to add the import statements to every MovieClip's timeline. I can't add import statements to base-class & get access from MovieClip's timeline.
What do I do?

It sounds like Inheritance doesn't work like that. Imports added in the base-class ( super ) aren't available to the child class. I've tried it.
For example, importing TweenLite in the base-class, will not allow you to use TweenLite from the child-class or it's timeline. I completely understand this from the OOP perspective, but am hoping for some workaround that either bends the rule, or is another easy approach.
I thought addFrameScript might be a method that allows you to execute arbitrary code on any particular frame ( such as imports ), but it doesn't seem to work in that way. It seems more like a onFrame callback.

2.1 EA1 - Auto-complete less responsive

I've noticed that when typing select statements with 2.1, that the auto-complete popup is less responsive as compared to previous releases. Even with something like:
select * from s
...will sometimes give me a list of tables/users begining with s...needing the shortcut key to display results. And rather than zeroing in on potential results as I continue to type, the auto complete window goes away.
select * from sy
produces no popup, but still shows popup with ctrl-space. Once I get the full owner and period in there, it the auto complete window will come up again (sometimes only with aid of shortcut key again)...
select * from sys.
Rather than narrow down on views as I type, the results go away....even with the shortcut key
select * from sys.d
gives me no popup and none with the shortcut key. Prior versions I'd at least get (dual, dba_views, etc), and it would almost continually narrow down results as I typed.

Fixed broken synonyms query which logged the error.
Code insight no longer holds the GUI thread, therefore if it is unable to list suggestions in some time threshold (0.6 sec), then nothing is displayed. However, if you explicitly invoked code insight (with ctrl-space), then the threshold is considerably higher (3 sec). Please keep in mind that the goal to have all code insight dictionary queries under 0.5 sec remains elusive (because of dictionary complexity).
There are some other changes in 2.1. Code insight is no longer zeroing in on potential results. Consider
select * from apps.<ctrl space>
the list would be thousands items long! In situation like this code insight runs top 50 query, and fetches only the first 50 items of each category. (This also helps performance). Narrowing down the list of top 50 items is going to confuse the user, this is why we don't do it anymore, and retrigger the whole query. Perhaps, this magic number "50" should be configurable... One of the reasons why code insight in 1.5 sometimes was little faster because this limit was set to "20".

Auto Invoice Import Program not processing records

I wrote a procedure at back end to submit the auto invoice import program. I find concurrent program being submitted but none of the records are processed.

Need to configure auto-complete off on large number of workstations

We currently have a large number of Acrobat Reader installs at our facility on various version levels. Is there a simple way to push the latest version of Reader to all clients and default to auto-complete off?
Also, is there a way to lock the auto-complete to the off state? We are a hospital and must not cache patient information in the forms due to HIPAA regulations.

New installation of Firefox on a new PC locks up as soon as the search bar starts to auto-complete

I have just installed Firefox 6.02 on a new Dell Vostro 3550.
Install went fine, but Firefox is completely unusable.
when typing in either bar, as soon as auto-complete starts to suggest, Firefox locks up.
I did not import any bookmarks.
I have not set up sync.
I did not install any add-ons.

Update:
I can only get Firefox to work with Add-ons disabled.
I have no add-ons installed so I am not sure why this makes a difference...
Update 2:
I figured out a workaround, but not necessarily the cause.
The work around is to disable hardware acceleration (Options->Advanced).
The cause appears to be related to the switchable graphics on this Dell notebook, Intel Core i5 with AMD HD 6630M.
