Auto-deployment of java classes in Weblogic 9 is not working
I have an exploded ear in my autodeploy folder and I am updating some of the java classes inside it. But it looks like weblogic 9 is not reloading new version of them. Did anybody had any success with the similar setup?
And yes, I am updating timestamp for my REDEPLOY file and -Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=false
Thanks,
I think it is missing - you need to do the import on your own. I filed an ER to get this one added.
Note however that the best practice would be to minimize the usage of scripts in your JSP - since this creates spaghetti code that mixes UI with logic and is hard to maintain.

I have a Java Class (Compiled with JDK6_u12) that works with UCCX 9.0.2, after upgrade it don´t work with UCCX 10.5

Does anyone know about this ?Did you ever find a resolution to this issue? I have a similar issue after upgrading from 7 to 10.5. I have loaded all provided certificates to the tomcat-trust store, restarted Tomcat Services and still get the same error

Table JAVA$CLASS$MD5$TABLE is not created by loadjava
When loading a class using loadjava, the table JAVA$CLASS$MD5$TABLE is not created (in the schema where the class is loaded) by the loadjava tool although it should do this according to the doc. Where is this table located?
The class loads successfully and is skipped when loading a second time. The force option is not used.
Version is: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bitIN order for a registered schema to be available to other users the schema must be registered as a GLOBAL, rather than a LOCAL Schema. This is controlled by the third agument passed to registerSChema, and the default is local. Note that you will also need to explicity grant appropriate permissions on any tables created by the schema registration process to other users who will be loading or reading data from these tables.

Java Desktop Overview (jds-help) not working after upgrade to jdk6u1
Hello,
I am running Sol 10 11/06 for sparc on a Sun Blade. I just upgraded to jdk6u1 from jdk5. I installed all required j6 packages, and then installed patches for j6u1. Java seems to be working fine. I then used pkgrm to remove all jdk5-related packages (I searched for all packages starting with SUNWj5 and then removed them).
Now, my Desktop Overview and other java-related help functions do not work. I get this error:
# jds-help ghelp:jdsoverview
** (jdshelp:826): WARNING **: An exception occured 'Unknown CORBA exception id: 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0''
Maybe I removed a j5 package I shouldn't have. Which j5 packages are related to the operation of jds-help? Any ideas as to what is causing my problem with jds-help?
Thank you...Here is the error log:

WL Cluster: install of weblogic is not working properly
Cluster install of weblogic is not working properly. We are getting kicked out every now and then
from the portal when both PIA1 and PIA2 nodes are up. When we shut down one meaning switch off clustering
then we are fine(Portal becomes very stable).
env setup:
Weblogic 9.2 with MP1-p5 and all the patches on Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 32 bit
PTools version - 8.49.08
Here is the message at the Kernel level if that any help:

Java Discussion Forum - Post topic not working
I've deployed the Java Discussion Forum contributed by CLAURENT in Knowledge Exchange. Deployed to 10gAS in JDev 9051. I've modified a few deprecated classes and made the appropraite changes to orion-applications.xml to point to the correct JPDK jars when deployed under Linux.
The application is operating properly with no errors. The administartion portlet can modify and create new forums. However, Posting a topic does NOT work. And it doesn't throw any errors on screen or in the console log (application.log) or the log4j log (forumprovider.log). Has anyone run into a problem like this?
Thanks. LEHI have exactly the same problem on the Portal 10g release 2.
Normally the "dit of a new topic" calls the EditPostAction but after submitting the form, nothing reachs this action.
I check this in debug mode and add several logs and I don't see nothing appearing for this action.
Did you find a solution? -

sanhi,
i have installed java in my system newly and i want
to use the 'console' in my programing console?
What console?
but it is not working.Be specific.
Does it compile?
if not, what error do you get (cut&paste, put between [code] ),
if it does compile, do you get a runtime error? Or do you just observe behaviour different from what you expect?
when ever i am creating an object of console its not
working.Be specific.
is their any spl '.jar ' to be runed to use it.The only "spl" I remember is an HP3000 programming language. -
This is the program I wrote LineRect just to draw a line a rectangle etc...... Y it is not working How can i used the same program to run without using applet that is by using awt and swing.........Pls Help me.............
import java.awt.*;
import java.io.*;
public class LineRect
{public void paint(Graphics g)
{g.drawLine(10,10, 50,50);
g.drawRect(10, 60, 40,30);
g.fillRect(60,10,30,80);
g.drawRoundRect(10,100,80,50,10,10);
g.fillRoundRect(20,110,60,30,5,5);
g.drawLine(100,10,230,140);
g.drawLine(100,140,230,10);
<APPLET
CODE =LineRect.class
WIDTH=250
HEIGHT=200>
</APPLET>There are many significant errors here for instance you are using a class file as if it were an applet yet you do not subclass applet. Your code has no init method (if it is to be an applet). Your best bet is to go through the tutorials one step at a time. One thing to consider is to subclass a JPanel and draw on the jpanel overriding the paintComponent method. This can then be added to a JFrame or a JApplet's contentPane and would allow the same graphics in both. But again, please study the tutorials on all of this, otherwise you will be doing hit-or-miss programming, and that is no way to learn.
Much luck!
Addendum: Also, if you are just beginning in Java programming, I suggest you start with the basics and not with Swing / AWT / graphics programming. Otherwise you will just end up bruised and disappointed. You have to learn to walk before you can run.

Java Plug-in 1.4 not working with IE5.5
Hi All,
I got problem loading a simple java class to IE5 using java plug-in JRE 1.4.0 beta 2.
The error message is following:
However, it works fine when I open the html page directly in the browser( i.e. use file:// instead of http://)
I'm using IE 5.5 sp 2, apache 1.3.14 for win NT 4.0 sp 6.
The page works for Netscape 4.7, but not for Netscape 6.

I saw your posting about the solution to the problem of "class not found" when trying to load a simple applet from the browser. I've got the same exact error:

I checked the Proxy settings in the java plugin console, and it says "use browser settings" . I also checked the settings in the browser in "LAN settings" but there is nothing checked (there is no ip address of any proxy server), does that mean we don't use a proxy server? and I should keep on looking for another cause to the problem?
Thanks in advance

First let me say I am totally new to Oracle. I did a new installation of 8.1.7 and created the user and tablespace as follows:
-- Create a new tablespace - AT 14 Jan 2000
DROP TABLESPACE gis INCLUDING CONTENTS;
CREATE TABLESPACE gis DATAFILE 'c:\oracle\oradata\dev\gis.dbf'
SIZE 1000M REUSE
DEFAULT STORAGE ( INITIAL 20K NEXT 10K MINEXTENTS 1 MAXEXTENTS UNLIMITED PCTINCREASE 0 );
-- Create the user
DROP USER gis cascade;
CREATE USER gis IDENTIFIED BY tutorial1 DEFAULT TABLESPACE tutorial1 TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP PROFILE DEFAULT ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
GRANT DBA TO gis;
GRANT EXP_FULL_DATABASE TO gis;
GRANT IMP_FULL_DATABASE TO gis;
GRANT CONNECT TO gis;
GRANT UNLIMITED TABLESPACE TO gis;
ALTER USER gis DEFAULT ROLE ALL;
A Java script is then run that worked when it was run against our 8.1.6 version.
The SQL statement works until it hits the 581st geometry. This particular geometry contains 17 line segments.
The java bombs with the following output:
UPDATE mtrtemp2 set GEOMETRY = (SELECT SDO_GEOM.SDO_UNION(a.geometry, b.geometry, .00000001) FROM mtrtemp2 a, mtrbuffer b WHE
b.sdo_gid = 580)

One of the problems when using bfiles is that you must keep the filesystem files in sync with the database yourself.
Are you sure the file information in the bfiles don't contain images?
I wonder what you mean by "stran machine symbols"?
Are these machine image icons? -
I am having getting router.attach() to work properly
Server server = new Server(Protocol.HTTP, 8182, new TestServerApplication());
server.start()
Here's the code that's in the client
ClientResource clientResource = new ClientResource(
"http://localhost:8182/contacts/123");
The following code does NOT work
router.attach("/contacts/123", ContactServerResource.class);
Exception in thread "main" Not Found (404) - Not Found
The following code does NOT work
router.attach("/contacts/123", ContactServerResource.class, Router.MODE_BEST_MATCH);
Exception in thread "main" Not Found (404) - Not Found
* using attachDefault results in the call being handled properly
// success!
router.attachDefault(ContactServerResource.class);
I also tried something different rather than using a Server.
Component component = new Component();
// Add a new HTTP server listening on port 8182.
component.getServers().add(Protocol.HTTP, 8182);
// Attach the sample application.
component.getDefaultHost().attach("/contacts/123",
new TestServerApplication());
component.start();
In this case router.attach("/contacts/123", ContactServerResource.class) is still called and it still fails to work. You have to attachDefault() to get it to work
I can't think of anything else to try. Anybody have any ideas? thank you
javaTry running your query directly into the database and make sure it actually returns a row. This may get you started with the debugging process. Are you doing any stacktraces or System.out.println(theException); in your catch blocks? This may also help if there is an excpetion. You may need to consult your server logs (unless you have some sort of console running) in order to see the results of any prints.

Java ME SDK 3.0 not working on Windows 7 64-bit
Hi everybody,
the sdk has no 64-bit Version and the solution described at:
http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5434297&tstart=45
did not work for me.
Even after changing the two configuration files bin\java and toolbar\bin\java to point to 32-bit installations of the jdk/jre, the sdk does not work and it cannot be uninstalled.
Error when starting the SDK:
A java.io.IOException exception has occurred.

When I try to uninstall, an error log file is generated in the installation path of the SDK. Although it "sees" the 32-bit java installation, at its botton appears the following (interesting?) line:
vm_info: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (17.0-b17) for windows-amd64 JRE (1.6.0_21-b07), built on Jul 17 2010 01:05:36 by "java_re" with MS VC++ 8.0 (VS2005)
Can someone help?
Thanks a lot in advance.Hey what's up Gatos.
Listen I have the same problem and I was wondering if you figured it out since October 2010 (your last post).
I also get the same IOException exception error. I also have windows 7 64bit, i installed 32 bit version of the SDK and uninstalled any previous versions. The Java ME SDK 3.0 Kit installed as well, and pointing to an appropriate sdk directory. I also tried changing the two configuration files (didn't have to change them because they were correct since I did not have any other version of sdk installed prior to installation of Java ME SDK 3.0.
So I am experiencing the same exact symptoms and I am wondering if you have resolved this issue yet or if you know of any other source of information that might help me. Your help would be greatly appreciated on this one. Thanks, and please respond even if it is a no if you can.
**EDIT:**
The Java ME SDK 3.0 magically started few times too, after displaying manyyyyyyy of these error windows, but it does not happen every time either. HELP

Check whether environment variable JAVA_HOME present or not ?
If no, then set the variable with value as path of java home directory.
