Auto-Generate Task Form in Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0

Greetings!
I am studying SOA Suite from some books like "WS-BPEL 2.0 for SOA Composite Applications with Oracle SOA Suite 11g" and "Getting Started with Oracle SOA Suite 11g R1 – A Hands-On Tutorial". These books say that in order to generate a task form using a human task in Bpel you have to right click the human task and should appear a menu option called "Auto-generate Task Form" however this option doesn't show up in my Jdeveloper. Anybody kwnows why?
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 with SOA Composite Editor     11.1.1.4.0.56.82.
My platform is Windows 7 Professional 64 bits.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!
Ramiro Ortiz

Hi Ramiro
In JDeveloper, on left side, in Application Navigator tab, select and double clikck your .task file. On right side, in the central window, you will see that Task Details in different tabs. Like on right side, you will see General, Data like. On right side, at the TOP of the central window, there will be a drop down box. Just click on that drop down box, you should see an option like Create or Generate Form something like that. You select that, and it will open a dialog to select a new Project. There give a new Project Name instead of selecting the existing project. Enter the new project name and it will generate the taskDetails.jsp with all other files in that new project.
If you do not see this option to auto generate form, in the central window. Since you already created human task, I am assuming you updated your JDeveloper with 2 Plugins from help -> Update menu like for SOA Composite Editor and BPM Editor (BPM Only if you want BPM specific stuff).
Thanks

  • Problem using Auto Generated Task Form with Autogenerated ADF controls

Sorry bothering you again, but I'm in troubles again.
I'm using an autogenerated page for a human task with adf controls. Generates fine, it's deployed in App Server and runs Ok, buth when you try to see the form, you get this error:

  • 11g Human Task; problem with Auto-Generate Task Form

    Version: WebLogic Server 10.3.5.0 Fri Apr 1 20:20:06 PDT 2011 1398638
Using book: Getting Started with Oracle SOA 11g R1, A Hands-On Tutorial
Had success through Chapt 7. Now working through 8, Creating Human Tasks -- almost everything checks out.
Deployed POProcessing success (with 1 warning: assignee not specified)
Deployed ApproveTaskDetails (from Application menu) success
-Run the test tool in Enterprise Manager 11g
-Response looks according to book, using Launch Flow Trace button I see ManualPOApproval is in running state, as expected.
-Run Oracl BPM Worklist, log in according to book (weblogic)
-I can see the Approve Order line under the My Tasks tab
When I select the Approve Order line item, according to book I should see Approve Order Contents in the lower pane.
But the details never populate the pane and I see "Waiting for..." in Explorer status bar.
The logs are filling up with the following statement repeated about 2/second (from D:\oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\user_projects\domains\domain1\servers\soa_server1\logs\access.log) ...

  • Modify hostname while automatically generating task-form in human wok-flow

    Hi,
I am creating one task form automatically, using the option available "create form -->Auto generate task form" in task file using jdev 11g. The form is good, but when I try to access this form in oracle BPM worklist, it gives me error "Unknown Host Description: Unable to locate the server named *servername.domain.com*. the server does not have a DNS entry. Perhaps there is a misspelling in the server name, or the server no longer exists. Double-check the name and try again."
Actually the case is, In our env, we can access the server by it's IP address only, and not by name. << this is due to some network or some other setup >>
like folllowing will work fine: http://10.239.5.80:7001/em.
but this one will give the same error as above: http://servername.domain.com:7001/em
I tried to create hostname entry in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts, but of no help. Also, i tried to find from where this server name automatically comes up. so that i can change that to IP address. but no success yet.
Need some pointers to get going. thanks for your help.

Just posting What I have found about this issue.
If there is a need to change the target URL for any work-list task form, then follow below steps in SOA em console:
From the SOA Infrastructure Menu in em console:
    1. Select home. ( i.e. click on SOA-INFRA link in left navigation.).
    2. Select the Deployed Composites tab.
    3. In the Composite section, select the specific SOA composite application.
    4. Under soa-infra, select a specific SOA composite application.
    5. Select the human task service component in the Component Metrics table.
    6. Click Administration tab.
    7. Set the HTTP Host and Port if it wasn't configured that way when you deployed. << At this step you can change the target URL>>.
    thanks,

  • Auto-generate new form as additional page

I have a form I created in Adobe Acrobat. Is there a way that Acrobat can be set to auto-generate that form on additional pages as the need arises or is the only way to do this is create the additional pages initially?

Yes, a form created in Acrobat can do this by spawning a hidden template page using JavaScript. If it has to work with Reader, however, you users will have to use Reader 11. It can work with older versions of Reader, but only if the document has been Reader-enabled with LiveCycle Reader Extensions, as opposed to just Acrobat.

  • Deploy task form without jdeveloper ?

    i'm using soa suite 10.1.3.1
my question is how to deploy task form without using jdeveloper ?

    There are multiple options
Human tasks are compiled into .ear files.
    1. take .ear file (generated after compiling your project) and deploy using EM console
    2. you can use admin_client utility (which comes with installation) to deploy human task .ear file
    3. even you can use ant to deploy
    Thanks,

  • How to edit task form generated from human task (.jspx)???

I created simple SOA application with simple Human task (from this tutorial http://redstack.wordpress.com/2010/01/08/human-workflow-in-11g/ but it doesnt matter) in JDeveloper. Then I generated standard form from human task (Human task -> Auto-Generate Task Form).
The question is, how to make own form? Not the generated default, but with my own logic...That form is jspx, not jsp, and thats the main problem, in this JDeveloper everything is a bit complicated.
I tried delete whole generated content, and just import my created file.jsp into jspx like below, but without result. How to import jsp into jspx? I dont want to completely rewrite my existing jsp into jspx and copy it over default...

  • Not able to access human task form (11.1.1.4)

I installed SOA Suite with BPM Suite 11.1.1.4. I ran into quite a few issues. The biggest one is I am not able to access the human task form in BPM workspace even for the new application created in 11.1.14.
Do you have such issue? I am not sure if it is a bug or is related to my specific installation. I followed the document “Quick Start Guide for Oracle® SOA Suite 11gR1 (11.1.1.4.0) Version 1.6” for the installation. The only difference is that I installed the generic version of WebLogic and JDev and configured them to use JDK 64-bit version since my OS is windows 7 (64-bit). Before, I had installed 11.1.1.3 with 64-bit and it was working fine. The only tool installed with 32-bit is the JDev 11.1.1.3. Since JDev 11.1.1.4 is supporting 64-bit, I installed everything with 64-bit for this time.
The details of the error are the following:
With JDev 11.1.1.4, I created a new application which has a simple BPM process with 3 flow objects: start event-user activity-end event. The human task has the auto-generated task form. I deployed the application to the SOA server.
When testing the application, the task was created and listed in the BPM workspace. But when I clicked the task link to open the task form, the web page was hanging. I noticed the following log was REPEATED again and again in the access.log:
    140.98.125.168 - - [20/Apr/2011:10:28:08 -0400] "GET /workflow/TestpsUI/faces/adf.task-flow?bpmWorklistTaskId=2a5b4ad1-823f-4615-8a7e-c5449a7be814&bpmWorklistContext=12aa4934-991a-487c-b7f3-5159808c399a%3B%3BtbcZXSd1E1LVZv8OIaLZGd21meLUMNkYSMsmz60kNKoEaJ1N53wy3zyRYA%2BunyKF9UNi50fPHKtaXY6IqKbh%2Fu68WebTan3zCwGsUNmNMaw8aLEygS5qb2cOGx2qGal86F%2FgiRka874PYLXhohFdDPCQyoxre2p7IgpsloLHq2rh7T3zWGnyOjLdC7Qw0Geb20Kfp8XA2UUIoxaxTHS6YFPQqqs%2FzIkyEsgMNQJMDbYYGdceRL2sT8rMkBXpmQ0r&bpmWorklistHttpURL=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A7001%2Fbpm%2Fworkspace%2Ffaces&bpmWorklistHome=home.jspx&bpmWorklistReassign=reassignTask.jspx&bpmWorklistRoute=routeTask.jspx&bpmWorklistRequestInfo=requestInfo.jspx&bpmWorklistSecurity=signTask.jspx&tz=America%2FNew_York&lg=en&cy=US&vr=&dispNameLg=en&dispNameCy=US&dispNameVr=&df=medium&dt=both&tf=short&bpmWorklistSessionTimeoutInterval=900&soaUrl=http%3A%2F%2F140.98.125.168%3A7001&bpmBrowserWindowStatus=taskFlowReturn&adf.tfDoc=%2FWEB-INF%2FHumantask_TaskFlow.xml&adf.tfId=Humantask_TaskFlow&_task-flow-return=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A7001%2Fbpm%2Fworkspace%2Ffaces%2Fadf.task-flow-return%3F_adf.ctrl-state%3De1i6yi1gq_35&_adf.winId=e1i6yi1gq_26&_afrLoop=7156779026094&_afrWindowMode=0&_afrWindowId=null HTTP/1.1" 200 5478
Please help if you know what is going on for the issue.
    Thanks a lot,
    Helen

Go to OEM, select the SOA Composite application you deployed.
Under Component Metrics … click the link of the Human Workflow Component that you have the issue
The settings of the Human Workflow Component would be displayed
Click the Administration tab, you will get the URI setting for the human task
update the Host name etc. as you want and click "OK" then click "Apply"
Please note: this is just a shortcut for my own dev-env. I have not got the time to figure out why this happens. It is sure not the right solution for the production if we have the issue in the prod-env, I think.

  • ReGeneration of a task form after adding new element in the payload

    Hello,
I have a question concerning the re-Generation of a task form
In a first step we have made a BPM Process with a Human task. We have generated the task form.
In a second step we have changed the payload definition in the Human Task (i.e adding an attribut).
How can we re-generate the existing ADF form or modify the Data Control wihtout creating a new ADF project ?
    Thanks,
    Grégoire.

When you use the auto generate task form feature, it creates a new project for the form. You can also use the manual generate function to add a form to an existing project. But, you can't replace an existing form with the new one this way.
You could update an existing form to access the new data element (theoretically - though you'd have to do a bit of manual puttering around) but if you have not customized the form, there is no benefit in doing it this way.
    Heidi.

how can i make the task form refersh automatically say for example after each and every minute.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,

    Hi Frank,
i was looking into this document : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_designtf.htm#CACFCJFE
26.3.2 How To Create an ADF Task Flow Based on a Human Task.
Here ADF pages are auto generated...
Any suggestion from you where i can go and edit the auto generated task forms so that it can refersh itself automatically.

  • Does not generate detail of detail collection ADF task form

    Hi
    I use Jdev 12.1.3
when i auto generate ADF task form from HT generated task forms does not contain tables in detail of detail.
I have a tree business object as payload on root to many detail and every detail has a collection as detail.
Also when i use manually by drag and drop from datacontrol on my page as table doesn't works.
how does I have table and for every row i have a table as detail?
    thanks.
    Fazel.Business Process Management Suite user9525019

    Thanks Frank.
I have set up the partial triggers on the dependent detail and still the table is empty. On Further investigation, we found that there is no row selected in its master and consequently the detail is empty. But now the question is why is no row getting selected in the Master. My understanding is that the default behavior for master-detail table , the first row for master will be selected by default and the detail will be populated.
Could you let me know what could be the reasons /where to look for on why no row is getting selected in the Master?

  • Auto generate forms in Oracle BPM 10.3?

Is there an option to auto generate a form in Oracle BPM 10.3?
The scenario is like I(as a customer) have to fill a form with few details. the next I want (in the process) is, to auto generate a form with these details and a few extra ones...how is this possible?
Im a newbie to Oracle BPM!:)
    thanks in advance

There's no out of the box way to automatically generate a form on the fly from a customer perspective.
There are three ways forms are usually created in Oracle BPM 10g. You can use the out of the box BPM Object presentations, hand code JSPs based on a BPM Object using a tag library Oracle provides, and hitting external web pages.
Of the three, BPM Object presentations are the easiest if your team is unfamiliar with JSPs. BPM Object presentations are very simple to build initially - there's a wizard that prompts you for the attributes (fields) to display and the sequence you want them displayed. As the UI is built, you'll see text labels automatically added to the left of the fields. The labels added are based on the attribute's name. Modifying the presentations after they are build is fairly easy using a table and cell drag and drop paradigm.
If you're a JSP shop, you should definitely go the JSP route.
If your development team is building forms using another technology and are heavily invested in this, then go the external route.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

  • Using templates with task forms

    Hello everybody!
In my project, I need to create a jsf page template, and aply it to task forms (there are about 50 human tasks, so I really need to reuse as much as possible). Is there any recommended way of doing this?
In a proof of concept, I tried to simple put the "af:pageTemplate" code snippet in the generated task form source, and then move some of the form generated code inside of the template facets where I needed it. Is this recommended approach? I'm still new to ADF, so I don't know if there are any negative implications in this approach :P
    Thanks,

  • How to auto-generate a "empno" field at run time in oracle forms 6i

    Hello!
I have connected to a SCOTT schema. And i am using emp table. At run time mode when i press F8 then the data is displayed in the fields.
My task is to generate auto "empno" as soon as i run the form. Kindly do the needful.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Francios,
I think with your solution our user only able to see the current information in the form.I donot think it will auto generate the empno.
    Dear user,
I suggest what you can do is to create one sequence in your database and use it to generate automatic
    empno.
In post query trigger try to implement the idea.
Suppose in the name of the sequence is empno_seq.
    if emp.empno is null then
    :emp.empno := empno_seq+1;
    end if;
Try i hope it will work
