Auto sizing phto gallery

I am trying to understand how to create a photogallery that
has self sizing frames around the pictures as they load. can
someone please give me a place to start learning about how to do
this. here is an example of what I am trying to do.

Help with creating a component: auto-sizing

I'm trying to create a lightweight component (extends UIComponent) that supports auto-sizing (aka default sizing.) Many of the Flex component's do this, for instance mx:Button will, if you do not set a size, size itself to be "large enough to hold the label text, and any icon." How can I do this with my component?
I tried overriding measure() and setting the measured sizes (measuredWidth, measuredHeight, measuredMinWidth, measuredMinHeight) but updateDisplayList always gets called with values of 0, 0 for unscaledWidth and unscaledHeight, and the .width and .height properties always stay at 0, 0.
I've looked over the mx:Button code quite a bit and cannot figure out how it manages to perform default/auto-sizing. Can anyone help?

You could set breakpoints to see if explicitWidth/Height is getting set in some surprising way. Could maxWidth/maxHeight be set to 0? That could also mess it up.
One more thing is that the component is given its size by its parent. If the parent is 0x0 that could also cause trouble. Or some other part of the layout logic is trumping the measuredWidth/Height. In theory there should be a call to setActualSize or setLayoutBoundsSize. A breakpoint there should help you figure out the logic that determined the size.

IPad Air - photo auto created in gallery issue

Hi everyone!
Not sure if anyone found this issue before, the identical photo has been auto created in gallery (iPad Air 7.1.1) many times. I never took the photo myself. it just looks like it came from the internet but I never saved. I wonder if this is a bug and how should i do to solve the issue. Many thanks in advance !!

It also takes time for the photos to be transferred out of your iPhone and into Photo stream on Apple's iCloud servers.
Note that this can't happen if your iPhone is not connected to a WiFi network:
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

Put your mouse pointer over the faint line dividing the columns and it will change to a cross with 2 arrowheads.
Drag the column boundaries left or right as you desire.

Robohelp 9 auto-sizing popup problems

In roboHelp 9 HTML, is there a way to reduce the bottom margin of auto-sizing popups when generating webhelp? Is there a way to limit the width, other than custom-sizing these popups? Things that looked ok when generated by robohelp 7 look a bit 'fat' in robohelp 9. It seems as if the more &nbsp 's there are in a paragraph, the wider the popup displays.

Is anyone continuing to monitor this issue, because it's still happening to me now (my pop-up windows appear at bottom right corner and they disappear when I scroll to them, the auto-sizing pop-ups have scroll controls that appear off the page). In addition, I have the added problems of my DHTML links for SOME links (I have an underline effect when users mouseover a link). The problem is evident even BEFORE I generate the WebHelp, when I use RH8's "View Selected Item" feature (Ctrl+W). An Internet Explorer Script Error window appears with the following message:

(Sorry, I could not attach the image to show you the window, so I just typed it out).
A similar message appears in my generated WebHelp (at the bottom of the IE window, it indicates that the file has some errors, when I click on it, it's the same ehlpdhtm.js error message).
I used Praful_Jain's latest ehlpdhtm.js file without any positive results. I just don't know what else to do. Are there any new developments/solutions/updates to fix this issue?
Using:
RH8.0.2, Windows XP, brand new project using the same stylesheet that worked fine with RH7. Generating WebHelp, not CHM, althogugh the problem appears before I even generate.

Any way to shut off auto publish in gallery?

Lots of issues with Iphoto 09 but, I working through them
One issue is my use of Gallery which was pretty much ok in 08
Now, my photos are placed on the internet in an order other then what I want. I try to select them in the order I want but, they are shuffled when they go into the gallery. Only way to avoid it is to put them in one at a time but,
the problem is that when you drag a photo to the existing gallery, it almost immediately starts to auto-publish. If I try to do anything to the gallery, add a photo, adjust the photo order, re-name a photo etc. none of the changes get published correctly.
Is there any way to shut down the "auto-publish" function so that I can add photos, do the editing, rename, change the order, etc. and then when I am done and satisfied click to publish.
I tried to turn off airport so that it couldn't publish but, I get some kind of goofy error message that says publish failed due to an error in my mobile me log in information? The message is delivered with virtually every change I make, which is fun, and then when I turned airport back on, it apparently lost my faces so, it has been re-cranking on that for the past 24 hours.
I'm frankly very unhappy with this iphoto update in general but, if I could just handle galleries in an intelligent way, I'd suffer through most of the rest. Just let me make a bunch of changes and then publish when I want to.
Any help, appreciated.

I already sent a suggestion but, was hoping to find out it was there.
When you read their material on gallery it acts like you have to click on the icon to the right of the gallery to start the publishing but, it has pretty much always been automatic for me?
I do use a "prep" folder to do all the work but, with 09, the pictures are put on the internet out of the order I set? There is no apparent rational reason for it, just does it wrong.

SCSM SSP Webpart Auto-Sizing

SCSM 2012 R2. The SSP and SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP2 are installed on a Windows Server 2012 R2 box. I'm trying to change the webpart's size from the default 660px to auto-size. I've changed the setting from within SharePoint, but
the control sizes down to somewhere around 200px and doesn't grow to fit the window. If I edit the Service Catalog.aspx file in Designer and change Height="660px" to Height="100%", Designer strips the code for the webpart when I try
to save it. I've tried changing the Master Page and using CSS, but the portal's Silverlight webpart never sizes to fit the window. How can I get the webpart to auto-size?

Do you mind sharing what the resolution was (missing steps) that Microsoft helped you with? I'm having the same problems after attempting to refresh our dev environment with production data. Data Access Service will not stay started.
What documentation did you follow to do the refresh? This is what I was using:

Maximum font size for auto-sized form text

You need to let the user select a maximum font size for automatically sized text. If most of your fields are set at 10pt type, but you have one field for which you want the text to resize automatically, it looks stupid if that cell contains a small amount of text that’s set at 16pt or whatever. If you could set the maximum font size to 10pt for that field, then the text would be consistent with the text in the other fields unless there is so much text that it needs to scale down.

Can anyone please advise?

"Auto" sized text reverting 12pt.

I created a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.10. I have one field where the text font is set to Lucinda Sans and font size is set to AUTO.
When I send it to my client to fill out the font size goes to 12pt.
We are both working on Mac but I'm assuming she does not have Pro version only Reader.
HELP!

Is there any chance she's using Preview instead of Acrobat or Reader? How are you determining it's 12pt. exactly?

I'm working on creating a form that will create small signs with variable text sizes. The font value is currently set to "0" but I'm concerned that my end user will add so much text that the sign becomes unreadable.
Is there a way to create limits on font size within a text field? Can I put a range in the value field to achieve what I am looking for? Or is there a better way?

My apologies for not coming back to you.
After a 3 hour phone call and several weeks of emails, I received the following helpful information:
"I took a look at your form and quickly noticed a few things. To start, the form you were working on was using PDF artwork since it was imported from an existing AcroForm, this limits the objects and functions you can use, and for that reason I have to recreate the form into a Static XFA form. Once that was done I tackled the font size 0 issue. By setting the font size to 0, you let Acrobat/Reader decide what actual font size should be used, but the only problem you face by enabling multiple lines is that Acrobat/Reader doesn't know when it should stop shrinking the font and start writing to a new line. This is a limitation of the feature, and not a whole lot can be done.
What you can do on the other hand is to script your own logic. In the attached form I created a new formFunction container with a bit of logic. The function stored inside of this container gets called by all of the fields on the form when the document is opened, and every time the field is exited. This logic allows the fields to use font size 0 which auto sizes the font up to a certain point, but after 30 characters (when the font starts being to small), we set the font to a default 10pt and enable multi lines. Using this logic, you should be able to implement this on your forms."

Auto start flash gallery slide-show

Is there a way to to have a flash based web gallery slide show created in Photoshop CS 3. I have looked in the preferences and so on and can't find anything in PS help files.

Sure,
Hit File > Automate > Web Photo Gallery. After that just follow the basic wizard and let it run. It will create all the .xml files and thumbnails for you.

How to do Auto Resize Photo Gallery

I want to create a photo gallery where the photos don't have to be the same size. I need the photo border or container to smoothly resize to accomadate each new image. Can someone explain the basic procedure to accomplish this with Flash?

This does work. Thanks very much for all your help. If you don't mind, I just have a couple more questions and then I will let you get back to your normal life. Let me see if i'm reading this right...First you retrieve the dimensions of the loaded image; then you set the loader object's dimensions to match the starting dimensions of the MC that will contain the photo; then you put the loader object inside the MC container; then you resize the MC container to the size of the photo. Right? 1st question: why is it necessary to set the loader object's size to match the initial size of the container MC? I tried adding the loader object to the MC without resizing the loader object first, and it didn't seem to change the outcome of the movie. 2nd question: Now that you've solved the general problem, I suppose all I have to do is change the final step in the procedure. Instead of simlpy setting the dimensions of the MC container, I should apply some sort of tween to the MC to make transitions between photos a little more interesting. Yes?

Let's make photoshop's auto flash web gallery really useful

hello there,
I have spent many hours trying to solve this problem so any
time you could spare to take a look at this would be great - i'm
out of ideas/knowledge.
Photoshop can produce flash web gallerys through it's
automate function. These look great and are a very quick and
elegant solution. If you edit the XML files it produces you can get
it to load swfs which is fantastic - you can now use the flash
gallery automate function to load images, animation, and even
games. But here's the thing that stops it being truly wonderful.
The gallerys are produced as Flash 6 files which means they refuse
to load Flash 8 files. If it could produce Flash 8 files then you
could edit the XML and have it load swfs that contained Flash 8
video. This means I could do pretty much everything i want to do
for my website simply by using the flash photo gallery function in
photoshop and tweeking the XML. Anybody think this might be a
doddle for them? Help

hi. i have a problem that i think it is similar.
i have a gallery on my website made in psd cs3 and if you
look at the page (

) you will see the .sfw or the image centering the whole page
vertically. therefore creating a large space between the navigation
buttons and the first image. is there a way to make the .sfw to
align top? i just need the pictures to get closer to top of the
website so that people dont have to scroll down to see the
pictures. which file am i supposed to edit and where should i add
what? (yes i am not experienced in coding :( )
