Automate To Sequence - "Placement" box do not open "unnumbered markers" option

Hi all,
I tried to place photos in a Sequence automatically by pressing
the Automate To Sequence button .
I want to place the photos at the unnumbered sequence markers that I had already marked .
the problem is that the "Placement" box do not open this option.
It opens only the "Sequentially" option.
I have used this feature before in PPRO 2.0 and it was OK then.

Here's a suggestion from a user named Jusko that worked for me:
Delete the pref file --- C:\Users\user id\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\3.0\Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs
then, the "At Unnumbered Markers" option will appear again.
On my PC the file path is:
C:\Documents and Settings\Sid\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Pro\3.0\Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs
Meanwhile, in case I run into this again, I've copied my latest good config file so I can fall back on it after deleting the corrupted one.
Something else that works is to log in as a different user. Either way, you will need to update your preferences (path to scratch files, etc.)

Is the printer still under warranty? If so, you could contact HP phone support as you may require a replacement printer.
Re. your query on individual ink cartridges (IIC). If you mostly print black text then an IPH (integrated printhead) based printer would suit best (many of them can work in reserve mode so the tricolor cartridge isn't needed)

The OE New Message box does not open when I click on an email address in Firefox. This is not a problem when I use MS Explorer. How can I fix it?

OE is set as my default email in both Firefox and Windows XP. When I click on an email address on a website within Firefox the OE page comes up but the OE New Message window does not open. When I go to the same webpage using MS Explorer and click on the same email the OE New message does open. Is there a bud in Firefox that prevents the OE New Message from opening? Is there a way I can fix it?

Instant Messaging chat box does not open...Please help

We are trying to get the instant messaging work. When I clicked on send instant message on the username a blank window opens and nothing can be performed on it. (Normally a chat box appearing...but not anymore)
We have <b>EP7.0 SP6.0</b>
We have RTC and CLP enabled in the tool area of the default framework.
I have checked all type of configuration applicable for RTC but nothing changed.

Can you make sure you do not have more than one Mail.app on your computer? and maybe are trying to launch the old Mail version?
Also, the path on your report shows that your applications folder is on your desktop. Is that true or do you have more than one Applications folder? DId you move your App folder to the desktop?
Go to spotlight and search for Mail.app to see if you have more than one on that computer, if so locate them and get info from each to see which version is which.
let me know what you find.

IM box will not open for one person

I have updated my skype but this has been happen to me alot on my desktop PC one person if they send me txt or call me I can't open there IM window, but when I use Skype on my Sony smartphone it works.

Did You find the right pref file to trash ?
iDVD pref file resides: Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences
and is named: com.apple.iDVD.plist
While iDVD is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
Now restart iDVD.

Unable to use Instant messanger or SMS in Yahoo Mail. When selected the pop up message box does not open.

While using Yahoo Mail I have a contact trying to IM me. I go to Conversation and there is no dialog box that shows his message. Yet at the top of the tab it says "Keith sent you a message". I also go to open a new message box for Instant messenger or SMS I should get a pop up box for that application. I am using FireFox 9.0.1 for a browser and my OS is Win.7.

[Suggestion] Camera Button Not Open in Pocket Option

I like the camera button dedicated to opening (and even shooting) after a long press, but I thought before opening there could be a code of could that checks if the camera or light sensor is blacked out (from being in a pocket). If it is blacked out the camera application wouldn't open. It has opened a few times to me and I thought this would be an easy option to fix it.
Another suggestion: the camera apps and settings should be available without having to put in the pin. I have found ways around it (setting lock time to 10 or 30 minutes) so that I can take HDR shots more readily while hiking or on the move.
Shouldn't there be a camera app folder in the software forum? or maybe a general suggestions forum? I couldn't find any. Let me know if there is a better place for this post. Thank you!

As for your suggestions, it might not work, as it will create lag on opening the camera. Since you will have to long press it then the proximity sensor has to detect if there's anything near or not, also there are mixed results with the proximity sensor and fabric.
I agree with you on having access to more settings without having to unlock the phone.
There isn't a subforum on the camera, just post your questions according to the Xperia model that you have.

The content tab will not open on the options pannel so i can deal with pop ups and adds and its driving me nutts

The Sync Feature is not opening in Tools Options. Help!

I have the Xoom and downloaded the Firefox app. I tried syncing to my account on the laptop but when I go to Tools>Options there is no sync option. I have installed the newest version of Firefox on both my laptop and the Xoom. Help!

The Sync tab only appears if the Firefox Sync add-on has been installed, or you are using the Firefox 4 beta builds. It sounds like you need to install the Firefox Sync add-on on the work computer.

Placement "At Unnumbered Markers" disappeared

I wanted to make a slideshow to synchronize to the music. But I don't know whether my method is right or not.
I did that by inserting some unnumbered markers according to the beat of the music. Then imported some photo files and wanted to automate them to the unnumbered markers. But in the "placement" of the Automate to Sequence dialogue box, there was only the "Sequentially" option and no "At Unnumbered Markers" option for me to choose.
Am I missing something ? Please help.

I agree, it is definitely a bug, I just hope to not stumble on revealing it again. Meanwhile, I got an email from tech support:
"I understand that the #at numbered markers# option is not available when using the #automate to sequence# feature.
I see that by creating a new user account, that you have resolved this
issue. That#s great news. Often times problems in software is the result
of corrupted permissions on a user account. I recommend that you
continue to work under the new account."
I like your idea better. I'd rather delete a file than create a new user ID every time I run into this problem. Meanwhile, I've copied my latest good config file so I can fall back on it after deleting the corrupted one.
As an aside, here's the path to the config file on my PC:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Sid\Desktop\Adobe CS3\Adobe Premiere Pro CS3".

SMS does not open in iphone 3g after installing os4

After installing OS4, the SMS box does not open for hours. I end up trying 80-100 times before it opens. I have tried restoring the phone and re-installing. Also notified apple help desk. I bought this phone in India for USD800. The so called upgrade has rendered my phone useless. Never again will ever buy an Iphone. Feel like smashing this trash on jobs' head......

It's funny how multitasking doesn't work on the 3G iPhone with iOS 4, but it works PERFECTLY on a jailbroken iPhone running OS 3 (and with previews!) Pathetic.

IPhoto does not open with new Mt Lion

Just installed Mt Lion and cannot open iPhoto. Purchased iPhoto Library Manager and can add new photos and have my old library rebuilt but still cannot open iPhoto. This is the response I get when tried "Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable". In iPhoto library manager iPhoto will not open with the option/command key pressed. Could not rebuild/open it in Time Machine. Suggestions?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

System Prefs not opening

I am having an issue where the system preferences box is not opening, so I have to force quit it and then reopen. It is not responding half the time. Any ideas? Thanks!

Drag that file from the Caches folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and restart your Mac.
Try opening System Preferences now.
If that doesn't work, go to /Users/YourName/LIbrary/Caches. Where you see:
com.apple.systempreferences, click the discovery triangle so it faces down.
You will see: Cache.db Drag that file to the Trash, empty the Trash.

I can not open PDFs while using Parallels

My boss recently bought me an iMac and since our company is on Windows I have to use the software for Parallels so I can run both Windows and Mac. The problem I ran into today was I can not open any PDFs on either the Windows or Mac side. The error message that appears says: Distiller can not run fils with the extension PDF or JFD. I have never heard of a Mac having issues opening PDFs so I am at a loss.

I use Parallels with no problems creating PDFs with CS products running in Windows (XP SP3) or in OS X 10.6.8, and no problems opening them with Acrobat or Reader on either OS, regardless of whether they were made under the same OS as the opening application.
How are you opening the PDFs? Double clicking or right-clicking on them in Finder or Windows Explorer, or by using File > Place in a CS product on either OS, or by using File > Open in Acrobat or Reader in either OS?
If the problem exists when trying to open in Acrobat or Reader with File > Open or double clicking in Finder or Windows Explorer, it's definitely not an ID problem.
If you're using File > Open in ID, this is your problem, because ID can only place (import) PDFs, not open them.
Have you tried closing Windows and then trying to open a PDF on Mac? What results? (NOTE: you can leave Parallels running or close it, too.)
As Peter S. notes, there may be a problem in which application is set to open PDFs. You can find out by right clicking a PDF in Mac Finder, and lookiing under Open With - the default application is stated there. I believe it will show Windows applications used by Parallels, like Distiller on the Windows side, but I'm not sure if Parallels needs to be running or not. If files with PDF extension do not have a Acrobat, Reader, or PDF icon in Finder or Windows Explorer, then the PDF extension isn't correct for the actual file, or the file's corrupted.
Can the files be opened by another user on another computer; i.e., are you the only one with the problem? If so, create a new user account on your computer, and try to open the PDF. If this works, then the problem may be due to incorrect permission settings.
Search Google for terms like "windows create new user account," "mac OS create new user account," "windows associating files with applications," "mac associating files with applications," "InDesign place pdf," and "parallels windows mac file associations," without quotes, for links to resources on this Adobe site, as well as across the Web.
