Automated transports schedule

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to setup my transports to import on a different time interval other than hourly or daily.  I have tried to creat an hourly import in STMS and then copy the job in SM37 to schedule it to run at different times but then it only runs once and than fails from that point on.   This is documented in oss note 398589 but I can not find any procedure that tells me how I can schedule more than one import job or how to adjust the import times.
What I am trying to do is not import from 8am -5pm into our QA system but after that, hourly imports or scheduled times for imports would work fine.
Any suggestions?
Lee

Thank You.  I got it working based on the input you both provided.
Here's what I did:
First, I Made the event in SM64 called STMS_KICKOFF
I checked this help page to show me how to trigger an event.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/fa/096f33543b11d1898e0000e8322d00/frameset.htm
In SE38, I copied the code in the above help page ...
*& Report  ZSTMS_EVENT_RAISE
REPORT  ZSTMS_EVENT_RAISE.
DATA:
    p_eventid   TYPE btceventid,
    p_eventparm TYPE btcevtparm,
    p_server    TYPE btcserver.
Obligatory parameter: EventID.
EventID should be an existing event already defined in transaction
SM64 or using CREATE method of class CL_BATCH_EVENT:
  p_eventid   = 'STMS_KICKOFF'.
Optional parameters: event parameter and target server.
  p_eventparm = 'Event parameter'.
  p_server    = ''.
  CALL METHOD cl_batch_event=>raise
    EXPORTING
      i_eventparm                    = p_eventparm
      i_server                       = p_server
      i_eventid                      = p_eventid
    EXCEPTIONS
      excpt_raise_failed             = 1
      excpt_server_accepts_no_events = 2
      excpt_raise_forbidden          = 3
      excpt_unknown_event            = 4
      excpt_no_authority             = 5
      OTHERS                         = 6.
  CASE sy-subrc.
    WHEN 0.
      EXIT.
    WHEN 1 OR 2 OR 3.
Raise failed.
    WHEN 4.
Event does not exist.
    WHEN OTHERS.
u2022     Raised failed due to unknown reason.
I then went into STMS and selected the system and hit the big truck to schedule the jobs.
I selected AFTER EVENT
And under event name I put the event I created in SM64  (STMS_KICKOFF)
I selected execute import Periodically and saved it.
Then I went into SM36 and Created a job  called STMS_JOB_1700 using the step ZSTMS_EVENT_RAISE to run daily at 1700.  I copied the job to run at the times I wanted.   It ran and kicked off the import job which ran properly too.
It's working great.  Thanks.

  • Schedule Line Delivery Date Calculation with Transportation Scheduling

    Hi All,
    We are currently running into a problem where our Sales Order Schedule Line delivery dates are being pushed out too far into the future - because of the Calendar being used to determine the transit time.
    We have 'Delivery Scheduling' and 'Transportation Scheduling' activated for our Sales Document type
    We have Routes that are configured with a 'Transit Time' and a 'Factory Calendar'
    Order Scenario:
    'Factory Calendar' assigned to our 'Route' is setup with only one 'Workday' in a given week e.g. Wednesday
    Our 'Route' has a Transit Time of 2 days
    We create a Sales Order on Monday for a Material that is available in our Plant
    The 'Goods Issue' date is being determined correctly for the next Workday - being Wednesday
    The 'Delivery Date' is extending out over 15 days (2 Wednesdays into the future) - since it is working on 'Calendar Days' and not 'Actual Days'
    Does anyone know of a way (config or other) to only influence the 'Goods Issue' date with the 'Factory Calendar' assigned to the Route, and have the 'Delivery Date' calculated using the Transit Time on the Route and 'Actual Days' rather than Calendar days?
    All help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ravelle<i></i>

    Hi Pathik,
    Thanks for your reply.  I have already maintained the Calendars I'm using for this business process in <SCAL> - same as <OY05>.
    The problem I'm having though is that by assigning a Calendar directly to my route (which I doing to influence the goods issue date - using a 1 Working Day Calendar) it is also taking precedence in determining the Transit time - which in this case I don't want, as I want my Transit time to be determined using a 5 Working Day Calendar.
    I don't think this problem has a config option as a work around...I think the only possibility in this case is a development to achieve the results we need.
    Thanks,
    Ravelle

  • Stock transport scheduling agreement SD Delivery

    Dear Experts.
    I am using stock transport scheduling agreement in order to show requirements from one plant to another plant belonging to the same company code.
    Delivery to the Stock Sched Agreem will be managed  thru the SD delivery processes.
    I use VL10I in order to create a delivery linked to the Sch Agrm, nevertheless the business processes requires that sometimes the delivery created is modified adding new materials.
    Need.
    I have not found any option on the VL02N which would allow add a new material linking it to a specific sched agreement ---(this same option exists for the case that a new material is delivered and has to be added and linked to an existing customer order)
    Does anybody know how can I do this from the delivery - VL02N??? I would prefer to avoid using VL10I again - which is actually the way I am getting this solved.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Using a JIT call with stock transport scheduling agreement

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to send forecast schedules for a stock transport scheduling agreement from procuring plant to producing plant. Production would be done in producing plant against these forecast schedules. Producing plant would only ship against a JIT call (pull trigger) from procuring plant and not against a forecast schedule line. Is there a way in standard SAP to achieve this?
    Thanks,
    Krishna

    I don't think so.
    You need to transfer the production forecast as demand plan in the production plant. Have a MTS planning strategy (like 10), then manufacturing is triggered by this demand plan, and goods are stocked in the production plant, waiting for the pull call from the sales plant.
    Don't forget to take care of the consumption of demand with STO (I think there's a note on this).

  • Stock Transport Scheduling Agreement - error message: 'Stock in transit...

    Stock Transport Scheduling Agreement - error message: 'Stock in transit exceeded'
    Hi, I do have a question about transport scheduling agreements.
    I have created a stock transport scheduling agreement via ME37, doc. type LU for a stock material from issuing plant TT01 to receiving plant TH01. The material is maintained in both plants.
    After that,I maintain the delivery schedule via ME38 for a quantity for today. The quantity is available at issuing plant TT01, checked via MMBE.
    Then, I try to post the goods via MIGO. When I try to post the document, I get the following error message: "PL Stock in transit exceeded by 1,000 T% : 794 TH01 S1". Why do I get that? My target is to decreate the stock quantity in TT01 and to increase the stock quantity in TH01.
    Thanks, Peter

    Hi,
    This happens when you are issuing more on the schudle qty, Check you have anything on the transit receive it the try agin to process the issue.
    Hope it helps.

  • Stock Transport Scheduling Agreement - PO - created but Shipping Conditions

    Hello Gurus,
    Our client has a process of STSA (stock transport scheduling agreement - instead of PO) where they want to transfer the materials from US to Europe, being Europe customer. Europe creates STSA and requests out of 100 qty first 25 by Air Shipping Conditions and the rest 75 by Ocean Shipping Conditions.
    Once we create STSA Shipping conditions we can not change in STSA in Item data ->morefunctions->shipping data. Where as same can be played around in Sales order. So currently no workaround so they are changing the customer master from Air to Ship and creating multiple STSA.
    I would like to know whether a good solution is available already and I am not aware of yet. Please let me know.

    Hi Mahesh,
    We have the same issue - just wondering if you ever found a solution?

  • Crystal Reports 2008 - automation and scheduling

    Hey there Crystal Reports experts... please answer this question:
    I've been evaluating the Crystal Reports 2008 package (client package) and have been able to generate some nice summary reports form our SQL database using summary pages which have multiple (up to 4) embedded sub-reports in them.  I think it's doing what I need it to, but my next hurdle is to automate the summary report for 100+ different customers of ours.  The criteria which changes for each customer is a table value in each subreport as well as the date range for the data on the report.  I also need to have the title in the report header of each customer, change to reflect the different customer name and date range.
    Is there a way to automate this with the standard Crystal Reports 2008 version?  I've found a few 3rd party applications online that take care of the Crystal Report automation and scheduling as well as conditional data selection at the same time... is that what I need to use if we don't have ther server version of Crystal, or can I automate it using just the standard 2008 client version??

    Hi,
    Yes, you need the CR 2008 client license to create the reports and then the server license to distribute the reports.
    CR Server 2008 is a single server reporting solution for distributing Crystal Reports only.  BOE is a full BI server that can be scaled beyond a single server solution.  In addition to just reporting it has other capabilities such as ad hoc query and analysis, dashboarding/scorecarding, etc.
    CR Server 2008 currently does not include the "Publishing" functionality yet.  Therefore, if you schedule the report to email, all users will see the exact same report.  BOE XI 3.1 does have "Publishing" which lets you burst the report so that through a single schedule, each user only sees their slice of the data for that report.  You can still use CR Server to accomplish something similar, but it would require you to setup an individual schedule per every customer where each schedule is configured to only return the appropriate data for that customer.  This would require a little more effort to setup and maintain.

  • Stock Transport scheduling Agreement (Lpcc)

    Hi,
    Pls help me with regard to the following:
    My Scenario:
    This is with regard to stock transport schedule agreement with Cross Company document type (LPCC).
    The process followed for this is:
    Created the schedule line, and created the outbound delivery in the supplying plant and inbound delivery in the receiving plant and then make a GR.
    Planned delivery time (PLD) for the u201CFu201D item in material master and in the Info record, and I do not have any transportation planning and no time is given for the packing and shipment.
    My issue:
    The u201CDelivery date (LFDAT)u201D for the ship-to-party is not considering the planned delivery time (PLD) given in the SA. It is providing the same date as it proposes for the planned goods issue.
    If it will not consider the PLD, then why it is required to give for this type of scenario?
    With Regards,
    Mohan Shastry

    Hi,
    it is the standard system setting i guess, same thing is happings in PO SO caes also.

  • Stock Transport Scheduling Agreement

    Hello all,
    I have created a stock transport scheduling agreement (ME37) from plant A to plant B.
    I think I have everything ok in SPRO.
    However when I go to VL10F and try to create delivery no data is found.
    Can you tell me the steps to configure this? And what am I missing? Because no error message appear and if I create the same data but for a purchase order instead of sch. agreement I can do the delivery.
    Thanks in advance,
    RMC

  • PGI Error Message for Stock Transport Scheduling Agreement Delivery

    Hello,
    I have created a delivery from an inter-company stock transport scheduling agreement. The stock is picked and TO confirmed, however, upon PGI of the delivery I receive the following message, has anybody and ideas of the root cause?

    Make sure the items you are trying to deliver from the scheduling agreement have item category "U - stock transfer". If the item category is different, you will receive such error.

  • Return process of stock transport scheduling agreement

    Hello there,
    We use stock transport scheduling agreement (TSA ) for inter company stock transfer. Would like to consult if it is possible to set up return for TSA. From MM configuration menu, there is only return setting under Purchasing order. I do not see anything under scheduling agreement.
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Susan

    Hi,
       Even if the STO is done with scheduling agreement, you may create the return STO as normal STO return, without scheduling agreement. You may use the delivery type NCR and item category NCRN.
       You may refer the doc: Returns Stock Transfer Order – Overview and Implementation in SAP
       Revert back in case of further clarification.

  • DELIVERY AND TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULE

    HI
    How we configured delivery and transportation's schedule in sap please explain configuration steps
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Reddy,
    Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling
    Shipping activities and transportation can be scheduled automatically in sales documents.
    Picking/packing and loading, transportation scheduling and transportation can be planned and optimized on the basis of the dates determined.
    There are two different types of scheduling:
    Delivery scheduling
    The SAP System takes into account the pick/pack time and loading time for a transaction.
    You define the type of delivery scheduling for each shipping point.
    Transportation scheduling
    The SAP System takes into account the transit time and the transportation scheduling time for a transaction.
    You define the type of transportation scheduling on the basis of the route (see sections "Route definition" and "Route determination").
    You define for each sales document type whether delivery scheduling and/or transportation scheduling should be carried out.
    For the dates to be determined automatically on the basis of the requested delivery for an order item, you must define both the times and what influences the determination of the date.
    You need to carry out the following:
    Define for each sales document type whether scheduling is to be carried out and, if so, which type.
    Define the indicators for scheduling for each shipping point.
    Define:
    Pick/pack times
    Please fallow below steps:
    SPRO > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Scheduling > Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling
    STEP 1: Define Scheduling by Sales Document type
    Here have to assign your Sales Document type to your Del and Transportation Scheduling if the system what to carry the Scdheduling Automatically.
    STEP 2: Define Scheduling by Shipping Point
    Here if you want to carry Determine Loading time  and Determine Pick/Pack time Just select the "C"- Default for Shipping Point and give respective Hours/Days here.
    STEP 3: Maintain Working Hours
    Here can maintain shift like ( Morning, Afternoon Shifts etc., with respective Start and Finish time.
    STEP 4:
    Here we can difine duration for Shipping point,Routes, Pick/Pack time and Loading time.
    Hope this solves your Purpose.Please Reward Points if really helpful,
    Thanks and Regards,
