Automatic correction

Hi
I got a popup when I opened BEx query on Infoset with alert message "Automatic Correction" ie.,
press Repair to CORRECT THE PROBLEM(Incorrect Parts of the Query are automatically deleted)
press Cancel to undo the last action.
What is this Automatic Correction if any one knows about this..
I made changes in the infoset coz the ods contains new fields and thus Infoset need to contain those new fields for its reporting.
Thanks

Hello Tripurari,
When that message appears if you double-click the message you'll see a detail about the repair solution.
Normally an example would be a query created on an InfoProvider that has a characteristic.
If you delete that characteristic from the InfoProvider and you open the query in Query Designer the system warns you that the query must be repaired. If you say Yes the system will remove that characteristic from the query since it no longer exists in the InfoProvider.
Please assign points,
Diogo.

    Is this a problem with the computer or with the word processor? MS Word for example seems to think its grammar and spelling are better than mine - they are not. You have to go into MS Word preferences and uncheck all the useless "help" it wants to provide.

  • Automatic correction of converging lines and volume anamorphosis in lens tab

    What would be very useful for architectural photography is to have a feature that detects vertical (and possibly even horizontal) lines like ShiftN does and an automatic correction for them.
    If that is going to be implemented it would be good to take the EXIF data into account so it won't be a simple transform that clinches the subject but to have virtual tilt-shift lens in ACR that works according the rules of rectilinear projection for different focal lengths.
    While implementing that, it might be a good idea to fix the transform tools that always move the image out of the frame, at the moment to fix this you have to scale down the image by a significant amount loose therefore alot of resolution.
    When cropping a wide angle image asymetrically one has to live with different amounts of edge distortion, so the possibility to move around the center and warp the image accordingly again according to the rules of rectilinear projection would come in handy often.
    Another useful feature would be a spherical and cylindrical volume anamorphosis correction for extreme wide angle lens in ACR.

    Though we do not have a direct volume anamorphosis type of correction at present, for spherical correction you can get a very similar effect by dialing the Manual Distortion slider to the left.  I often do this on my wide-angle non-architecture shots (< 30 mm, 35 mm equivalent).  This better preserves the relative shapes and sizes of objects at the corners of the image, at the expense of some linear distortion.
    In my workflow, I prefer to use the lens profile to correct for rectilinear distortion and vignetting automatically and completely. This gives me a consistent baseline from which to work. Then, I will use the Manual Distortion slider and Post-Crop Vignette tools to deliberately re-introduce distortion / light falloff as desired for the image (presets come in handy here).

  • ReFS can not be automatically correct in the Parity Space ?

    I had to test
    the automatic correction of ReFS on parity space, but did not cause the automatic correction is performed any times I try.
    ReFS does not corrected even if tried on dual parity.
    I tried,
    Three VHD atatched to Windows Server 2012 R2 Virtual Machine.
    Create pool, parity space, format ReFS on VM.
    Write data to ReFS.
    Shutodown VM.
    Modify the data portion I wrote.
    Start VM.
    Read that data.
    The expected automatic correction but it was not carried out.

    Corrupted_parity_pool1.vhdx  Same as ReFS_parity_pool1
    Corrupted_parity_pool2.vhdx  Same as ReFS_parity_pool2
    Corrupted_parity_pool3.vhdx  Copy of ReFS_parity_pool3, modified one byte.
    Mirror Space always works well.

    Hi,
    Correct me if I'm wrong.
    You create 3 VHD(x) files on host server and connected them to a VM, which act as physical server on VM.
    Using the 3 VHD(x), you created a storage pool in VM and created a parity virtual disk.
    Then you wrote files, shutdown VM and edit one of these VHD(x) which emunicate the parity disk corruption. It cannot be fixed automatically by ReFS file system.
    From the reply I got, VHD files will not able to be fixed for such issue - So I assume that using VHD files in VM for the test may not get the correct result. If available it is more recommended to test with physical hard disk.

  • "Balance in Group currency USD is too large for automatic correction" error

    Hello Gurus,
    Please help me..
    When we post document from FB01, we want to enter amount in group curreny different than what SAP calculates, But when we enter different amount(than what sap calculates ) we are getting "Balance in Group currency USD is too large for automatic correction" error.
    We want SAP to take whatever we enter on the Group Currency Amount field and not to calculate/validate anything itself.
    Is it possible to disable this message?
    I tried changing the hard error "E" to warning "W" using "Message Control"  but it did not work.
    Or is there any User exit/ BADI/ BTE, where i can change the tolerance meaning if SAP calculates Group Currency amount $1000.10 and SAP takes upto 1000.18, So if i change the tolerance to 90 cents instead of 8 cents and try to enter $1001 and SAP can take it? ( I know its so weird requirement, we are not using SAP as it is, but everyone really wants it here:(
    Our Local/ Document currency: EUR
    Group Currency: USD
    Please suggest any solution.
    Thanks so much in Advance!

    Hi Shrikanth,'yes I did checked the SAP note and for the correction,
    'Import the corresponding Support Package or implement the attached advance correction'
    frankly speaking, i didnt understood what the SAP note is trying to say   What i can make out from it was that There is some Program error and that needs to be rectified.
    Can You please tell me as to how to imoplement this SAP note.

  • I want to type "0800" or "20.00"; Pages automatically "corrects" the entries to: "800" and "20." !  How can I turn this automatic correcting OFF?

    In my business it is critical that I be able to enter numbers in the format I choose.  I want to type "0800" or "20.00"; Pages automatically "corrects" the entries to: "800" and "20." !  How can I turn this automatic correcting OFF?  I am a relatively new user of Pages and cannot find a means of turning the autocorrect OFF.or of setting the number formatting rules.

    Pages v5.5.2 does not change 0800, or 20.00 when entered as body text for me. There is nothing in substitution, or Pages preferences settings that can effect these values.
    However, when typed in a Pages table cell with the wrong data format, mischief does occur. In order to preserve 0800, select the Cell tab on the format panel, and set the cell data format to Text, or a custom data format. To preserve 20.00, you must set that cell data format to either Automatic with 2 decimals, or Number with 2 decimals.

  • ACR automatic correction

    I'm using Vista with PS CS3 and ACR 4.6 and the beta profiles for my Nikon D700.
    I'm having a very irritating problem with ACR;
    When i load my photos in ACR and select one (just clicking on it once) ACR applies an automatic "correction" which ruins the photo completely. The toning and exposure aren't correct anymore.
    The photos are looking perfectly fine before i select them.
    How do i stop this?

    The Auto Tone Adjustment does a dynamic adjustment of the white and black points and balances the tones similar to the Auto Levels command in PS. It's action depends on the content of the image. It will tend to make bracketed exposures look similar. You can turn it off in ACR preferences.
    Even when Auto Tone is turned off, Camera Raw still needs to "develop" the raw data. It does this initially by using the defaults that you have established. If these defaults consistently produce a non-optimum image, you can change them. Just make adjustments until the image looks better and then do a "Save New Camera Raw Defaults". This is available in the "fly-out" menu on the tab at the right of the ACR window (like where it says "Basic").
    If you notice that the thumbnails in Bridge initially look "good" but then change to something else, this is Bridge initially using the small Jpeg embedded into the Raw file and then replacing it with its new, "developed" version. By changing the defaults you should be able to get close to the embedded Jpeg exposure but it will probably never match exactly. The embedded Jpeg was "developed" by the camera manufacturer inside your camera. Expecting it to match exactly with the way Adobe does things is sort of like expecting two different brands of film to produce the same image (back in the old days).
    Remember that with Raw, the result is always an interpretation of the Raw converter being used.

  • How to turn off automatic correction on text message?

    How to turn off automatic correction on text message?

    At this time I don't think there is a way to turn it off. the software will learn new words and shortcuts you use when typing as you go. To do this type in the word/phrase and then hit the x when the suggested word pops up or tap on the word to keep what you have. Then hit the space bar and type away, it should have added that word to its dictionary and if you type it again it shouldn't offer up a new word instead.

  • How do I stop iTunes from automatically "correcting" song info from the iTunes Store?

    I frequently rename songs that I download from the iTunes Store for various reasons. For example, when I bought Pet Shop Boys' album Electric on CD, I changed the album name of the pre-release single "Vocal" from "Vocal - Single" to "Electric", and also changed the track numbers to reflect its position on the album. The track grouped with the other tracks that I had copied from the CD, and everything seemed fine.
    However, at random times, I have found that iTunes will attempt to "correct" my changes, leading to some very bizarre circumstances. With Electric, after having the album appear correctly for over two months, it suddenly messed up. The album was still labelled as "Electric", but it appeared in alphabetical order under V, as if all of the tracks had "Vocal - Single" in the album field. It also changed Vocal to track 1, which would be correct for the single, but not for the album. I changed everything back, and while it was fixed on iTunes, the problem persisted on my iPhone - this time, creating two duplicate albums both organized under "Vocal - Single", with an interface that looked like the artist view rather than the album view. I had to delete the album completely from my iPhone and re-sync it to make the changes carry over. This has happened before with other albums where I combine iTunes Store tracks with tracks ripped from CD.
    This has also occurred when I've tried to compile multiple albums, this time entirely bought from the iTunes Store, into one album. To use another Pet Shop Boys example, there were three EP-style singles released on iTunes in support of the album Elysium. Rather than having two or three tracks each labelled as "Winner - EP", "Leaving - EP", and "Memory of the Future - EP", I reorganized them into one album called "Elysium: B-sides", and set each EP as "discs" 1, 2, and 3 respectively. Again, this worked for several months, and then, at the same time as when Electric messed up, iTunes renamed all of the tracks as "Winner - EP" and changed all of my track listings to match the original EPs they had come from. As I clicked "Get Info" on each track in iTunes however, the information snapped back to what I had input, but it was still slightly corrupted and had to be redone in order to get it back in the correct alphabetical and chronological order in my library. Even after I changed everything back, it wouldn't return to correct alphabetical order on my iPhone until I added "Elysium: B-sides" to the "Sort Album" field.
    This is not a new issue. I've had the same problem with other iTunes Store downloads under earlier versions of iTunes, OSX, and iOS. The "corrections" always seem to occur randomly. Is this automatic renaming a "feature"? And if so, how do I turn it off so I can organize the music that I've bought the way I want to?

    Hi Mhwal.  I think this may help you.
    Here's a test for you to try.
    Make sure your iTunes library is updated with your edited album names;
    Find a song on your iPhone where the album name is incorrect;
    Delete the song from your iPhone;
    On your iPhone go to "Settings>iTunes & App Store" and tap your Apple ID (highlighted in blue).
    Tap "Sign Out";
    Go back to your iTunes library and select the song/album that you want back on your iPhone;
    The iPhone should now show your edited album tag;
    Once your done you can sign back to "Settings>iTunes & App Store" and sign back in.  Your edits will hold.
    In addition, this also works with artist pictures.  I did not like the stock images iTunes associated with my artists - I wanted album art instead.  After you sign out of your Apple ID, when you move a song/album from your iTunes library to your iPhone the FIRST album you move over will be associated with that artist.
    For example, I have seven AC/DC albums but I want the cover of "Back in Black" to be associated with AC/DC on my iPhone's artist listing.  After I've signed out of my Apple ID, I transfer "Back in Black" to my iPhone and then the other six albums in any order.  "Back in Black" will be the album picture associated with AC/DC on the artist page.
    Just remember, after your changes you can sign back into iTunes through "Settings>iTunes & App Store" and your changes to edited albums and artist cover art should hold.
    I hope this helps!

  • In Mail, how to show misspellings without automatically correcting them?

    When writing a new e-mail in Mail, one can set spell-checking either to ask about corrections after one has finished the message and clicks 'Send', or to show each misspelt word and offer a correction as one types. The latter saves a great deal of time, but it has a major disadvantage: if one wants a particular unorthodox spelling but misses that a suggestion has appeared and continues to type, the correction goes in without one's noticing it. In many applications (e.g. Pages, Word, etc.) a misspelling is flagged up by a red underscore, but if one continues typing it is one's own idiosyncratic spelling that goes in. Is there any way of achieving this in Mail?

    Thanks, dianeoforegon — of Portland, I seem to remember from a previous discussion. But you may have missed the following from my post: '…one can set spell-checking either to ask about corrections after one has finished the message and clicks 'Send', or to show each misspelt word and offer a correction as one types. The latter saves a great deal of time…' (emphases added). I knew that one could set spell-checking to occur when one had completed one's message and clicked 'Send', but my point was that that wastes a lot of time, especially if one has used foreign words or unconventional spellings (I like to use 'z' instead of 's' in words with Greek rather than Latin roots, for instance, such as 'energize') which one wants to accept. This method even invariably throws up the addressee's e-mail address as a misspelt word because of the '@' as well as because names are not usually dictionary words.
    What one really wants, in my opinion, is a setting whereby each unusual word or spelling is flagged up as one types it, but the version one has typed is the one that is retained by default. That is what happens with the red underscores in Pages, etc. But I realise (realize? no; from Latin 're', not from Greek) that Apple have gone for everyday speed of typing with conventional spelling, not for idiosyncratic writers.

  • Automatic Correction for DOuble CAps typing?

    Is there any way to fix DOuble CAps typing automatically on Pages (or for that matter, universally throughout the Mac)?
    I remember a control panel on the classic Mac OS called SmartKeys that did exactly this. I'm not sure if they make it or something similar for OS X or not (this control panel goes way back to the days of System 7) but it would fix double caps throughout the system--not just in Word or some other word processing application. Additionally, I know Word has had this feature since at least Word 98, so I'm wondering if Pages (08) has something similar. I'm not really too concerned about functionality in other applications (which would be nice but most of the time I make double caps errors while word processing).

    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    Smart Keys was not an Apple-supplied Control Panel that I can recall. You might find something similar for OS X by doing a search on MacUpdate or VersionTracker. In the meantime, I suggest adjusting the key repeat rate in System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard.

  • Automatically correcting wrong urls...

    Hi,
    In my web server error log I see tons of misspelling of .jsp:
    .jps
    .isp
    .jrp
    How can I tell web server that when a url request arrives with these file suffixes, replace them with .jsp and serve correct file?
    My web server is actually a wap server, and many clients are using cell phones. That's why there are so many errors as above.
    Solution needed for IWS 6.1 SP7.

    A bunch of new URL rewriting functionality was added in Sun Java System Web Server 7.0. It would be useful here. For example, you could redirect clients that request a .jps file if the corresponding .jsp file exists:<If $uri =~ '^(.*)\.jps' and -U "$1.jsp">
    Error code="404" fn="redirect" url="$1.jsp"
    </If>This is a new feature in 7.0, though, so you can't use it in Sun ONE Web Server 6.1. If you need to stick with 6.1, you could develop an NSAPI plugin or a Servlet that would do the same thing.

  • Photosmart Premium C10a pictures are automatically corrected?

    This printer is brand new so all new printer cartridges are installed. I have been trying to print pictures that have vibrant colors and the printer (I'm assuming) is changing the colors such as lime green to aqua. It also is bumping up all the colors so dark pinks are red, lighter greens are darker, etc. How do I turn this "feature" off?

    Oops, it's a C310a.
    Also, operating system is Windows 7.
