Automatic Picture Sent With My Emails?

There is a photo of me being sent out with my outgoing emails. It is a recent pic of me (I took it in iPhoto), but here's the deal:
I never changed anything (that I'm aware of) to make this change.
I never chose the first pic that used to out with all my emails. I never have chosen a picture for my emails. How does this happen? I'm the only user of this laptop.
In fact, I do NOT want an image of me plastered in the upper right corner of my emails, but I cannot find out how (or where) to remove this "option". Can anyone help, please? I hope it's possible for me to get back here-- it took me a 1/2 hour to find this discussion board on the Apple site (how more cluttered can it get?).

That photo doesn't go out with your emails. It appears on your machine only when you compose or view your outgoing mail and it comes from the entry for you in your Address Book. You will likewise see pictures of other entries in your Address Book when you receive emails from them (i.e. If you have a picture in your Address Book for Father McKenzie, when you get an email from him, his picture will show up on that email on your MacBook). It was created when you first booted your MacBook and went through the setup and can be changed or removed in your Address Book.
Hope this help -GDF

  • ICal invitations are sent with work email calendar and respond to personal

    Ical is set up to receive my work calendar called [email protected] Work email is a google webmail account. Office workers send invited to me from google calendar. I can accept these and they DO show on my .mac Ical.
    On Ical, i have a list of standard calendar topics (home, work, school, etc). I have the shared google calendar set up as a second calendar on the ICal application. No problem.
    My VCard has all work information. No personal at all. Work email, etc.
    My email mailboxes for both inbound and sent Are in rank order meaning "work" email is draqgged over ".mac personal" on both scenarios.
    Problem is This: When I create invites for "work calendar" , a new event pops up, "work email" shows as the Calendar and everything looks good and it does go to the invitee.
    1. Invitee receives the invitation and the invite states that it is from the ".mac PERSONAL" calendar
    2. My name shows as the organizer however has my personal email as the default (Not my work email as listed in my VCard)
    3. Most annoying of all, my "[email protected]" email address(If clicked on by the invitee) states my Wifes name on the email address bar.
    I have checked everywhere as to why my wife is showing up as the "owner" or my personal .mac account. Not anywhere on my .me account, .mac account, VCard, etc.
    Help?
    I want to send my invites from my work email account using Ical with the responses showing, and responding to the same work email address. Simple right?

    I have to admit... Im getting frustrated.
    I deleted the shared google calendar. Starting over. I created a work calendar called "MSL" under the "calendars" drop down in ical.
    Created a test event, sent it to a personal account, clicked the link to accept and the link sends me to Entourage? See Below... Says iCal... Link goes to Entourage.
    MSL Packaging and Fulfillment' has invited you to the iCal event: New Event Test, scheduled for December 16, 2009 at 4:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time). To accept or decline this invitation, click the link below.
    I want to:
    1.Sync google calendar with my [email protected] webmail account and my ICAL.
    2. Send invites from my ICAL when using my work address in imail, have them send from my work address, respond to my work address, and show up on google and ical calendars.

  • Exchange 2010 resource mailbox automatically opening along with user email account

    I've created a number of resource mailboxes for conference rooms, however one of them continuously opens in my Outlook profile. Deleting the profile doesn't seem to help, and it follows me around (it does it in my local Outlook 2010 profile, as well as my
    Outlook 2013 profile in our Citrix environment).
    Right-clicking the mailbox and selecting Close presents a box saying, "This group of folders is assicated with an email account. To remove the account, click the File Tab, and on the Info tab, click Account Settings. Select the e-mail account, and then
    click Remove."
    Unfortunately the profile is not configured to open this account, it's configured to only open my account (a domain admin).  I've also gone into the settings of my account in Outlook and it is not set to open the resource mailbox as an additional mailbox
    on the Advanced tab, so I'm not sure where it's getting this setting.
    Since the issue seems to be unrelated to the actual Outlook profile, I looked at both mailbox objects within the Exchange Management Console and can find nothing in either object that would be instructing Outlook to open both mailboxes.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Seems like it's auto-mapped to the account. Run Remove-mailboxpermissions against it, hopefully it will 'refresh' the settings. If it still doesn't work, check the msExchDelegateListLink for the resource mailbox.

  • Spam is being sent with my email address on it!

    I get a few spam messages re drugs every day.  What concerns me is that they may be using my email address to send these messages to others.  How do I stop them from posting messages with my email address on them?  How do I deal with this?  Any hints?

    Once a spammer has your email address that is pretty much end of it.  Nothing you can do other make a main account email address for only important things and use the other free email address until they get spammed like this and delete them.  then start a new email.
    Another option is to use Gmail and use it as a spam filter in a way.  Use Gmail to read and send emails, but make it forward only the emails you want to you verizon email address.
    Stay clear from Env3 and Env Touch. They are sub-par due to many software problems that need addressed. The consumer is the guinea pig in this lab experiment they want to call a 'cellphone'......

  • Images not being sent with forwarded emails

    Hi,
    When I forward an email sent to me that has attached images, those images are not being sent when I forward the email.
    Yes, I am being asked to "Include" the attachments, and I click the Include button.
    I see the images in my message to be forwarded just before I send it, but the recipient does not get the images.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Forwarding Mail fails to include pictures

    Recently I've had a problem with my iPhone 3Gs when I forward an email that contains graphics. The graphic is fine on my iPhone but when it arrives the picture is missing. I am selecting 'include graphics'.
    I've re-booted - no change.
    I've restored from a backup - no change.
    I've restored without using the backup - no change (other than I lost a couple email accounts etc.)
    Anybody got any other suggestions?
    TIA

    I have been having the same issue since late September and been in touch with Apple support since. First they said they had no other reports on it so it was my phone. I started checking and found many other with the same issue. I called back and finally in November I was told they were aware of the issue and was working on it. The first week of January I called again and was told the update first week of February was going to correct this. I did the new software update and guest what....IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!!! It is now February 14th and I am on the phone once again for the same issue that was known back in October 2009. I am paying $30 for data plan that I can not utilize 100%. My question after being patient for 5 months is who is going to refund me a portion of my data plan? Apple or AT&T?? This is a software problem that really needs addressed. Apple just releases an iPAD and can't correct this email issue??

  • Why can't I print pictures sent through yahoo email.

    I have received pictures of family members through yahoo email but can't print them out. When I try, It it shows as symbles that are un recognizable. I would love to know how to get my pictures to print. When I locate my picture on the computer, It shows as a firefox logo and won't open up as the picture I saved.

    There have been many reports of problems with photos in texts/iMessages lately on this board and I'm wondering if this is related. Some people are unable to send and some are unable to receive. I don't know of a fix or what the problem is, but it just may be a matter of waiting until the problem is fixed on the other end. Sorry...

  • An image from my computer is sent with every email in the title section

    Every time I send an email, the same image from my computer is sent in the upper right-hand section of the email. This is very frustrating as I can't see how the image is being attached. It's always the same picture and I'm sure that recipients of my emails are wondering why I send the image, but there's nowhere in the options that identifies how the image is attached.
    Can someone please tell me how this is happening and more importantly, how to stop it.

  • How do you stop sms messages automatically being sent to an email address instead of a phone number?

    I have noticed that sometimes (particularly when sending an sms to multiple people) my iphone 4s will send the message to peoples email addresses. This happens despite there being a phone number listed on the contact. You would have thought that an sms would automatically send to a phone number if there is one available for the contact, but instead it is sending the sms to an email address without warning. This results in me being charged for an mms and the recipient not recieving the text at their phone number. It happens when sending messages to both iphone users and non iphone users.
    Does anyone know a way of fixing this?

    I think its fixed. I had to sign iMessages in on my Apple ID, but then deselect my email addresses to make it behave the way it should. Now if I could get iMessage to only send response alerts to the last device I used, instead of late night texts going to every device I own in the house and waking everyone up.
    For some reason, the free iCloud address I automatically received (when Apple was trying to force people to leave Mac.com) is "hardwired" into iMessage. People were also getting texts from that address even though I was on my phone. I tried to delete it but iOS tells me I can't. I don't use that address, I won't ever use it, too bad I can't make it go away.

  • Windows users do not receive pictures sent with Aperture via Mail

    Sometimes my buddies windows users reply to my e-mail saying that they have not received the attached picture(s).
    It looks like their anti-virus software is cutting them off.
    This happens when I send the picture directly from Aperture using Mail.
    I've tried several times and I ended up exporting the pictures on the desktop and attaching them to the message.
    Like this it works.
    In the e-mail export preset I use Email small-JPEG.
    Is there anything else I should do ?
    Thanks
    Dual 2 Ghz G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   ATI Radeon 9600 Pro

    I can verify that this does seem to be an Aperture problem; I have run a number of tests. If I "output" to eMail from Aperture there are two known problems: The progress of the send is not shown in the Mail window, as it should be, to let you know, visually, when something is in transit and when it gets to the other end it is treated as "malformed" by my colleagues' P.C.s. If I export the image to the desktop and drag and drop it in exactly the same configuration it arrives without a problem.

  • Can we get a pdf version of information sent with notification email

    Hi
    I notice we can choose to have data submitted but we need the pdf form.  and it is very time consuming for us to log on and download each form when we can get up to 50 a day.
    Tania

    Maybe I wasn't very clear again.  What I understood is that you are taking your FormsCentral PDF with a FormsCentral Submit button that sends the data to FormsCentral, and you are modifying that PDF in Acrobat adding an additional button for users to click on which when clicked attaches the PDF to an email to you.  With this modification you end up with a PDF that has two submit buttons which you stated was confusing for the user...
    I have tested combining both of those buttons into one (and included instruction to the user that it will do two things).  I edited the FormsCentral Submit button and added an additional action to the button for the attach PDF to Email.  This modified single button does both, creates an email in the default email client with the form attached, and submits the form data to FormsCentral.
    That may or may not be useful to you but I wanted to make sure at least that I have explained it more clearly.
    Thanks,
    Josh

    This appears to be an easy question for which I can't find an answer. I have two email accounts and use Mail on OSX Mountain Lion. One account sends an identifying picture of me with each sent email and the other account sends a picture of my wife.  We want to change this, but can't figure where the control of the accompanying Mail picture is determined.  Any suggestions?

    Those pictures do not get sent with your email.  They only show up on your end.

  • Automatically send pictures from camera to email?

    Hello,
    Is there any way/hack/trick/app to automatically send new images from my camera?
    Ideally, I would take a photo, then the picture would automatically be sent to an email, without an additional click.
    Right now, I have to click "send as email" and then start typing my email address.  This takes too long, especially when I have to do it for every single photo.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

    On the Gmail mobile site, there appears to be no option to attach a file.
    However! If you save your email as a draft before sending it, scroll to the bottom of the pane and you should see a link that takes you to the desktop version of Gmail.
    Reopen your email and you can attach your file and send it.
    Hope that helps!

  • Any way to send a form automatically to a user-chosen email?

    I want the user to be able to type in an email, then fill out the rest of the form, then have the form data automatically be sent to that email. Is this possible??

    Well, I did manage to find another form mailer script, maybe first take a look at this one and see if it's easier..
    http://www.dagondesign.com/articles/secure-php-form-mailer-script/
    These are all the options... sorry it's really long:
    // STANDALONE OPTION
    // If you plan to use this script by itself (not included from another PHP file), set this
    // option to TRUE, and it will generate a proper html header and footer. If you want to
    // change the basic header and footer, they are found near the bottom of this script
    $standalone = TRUE;
    // If you are using the standalone option, enter the relative path to your CSS file so it
    // can be declared properly in the header
    $path_to_css = 'dd-formmailer.css';
    // For those of you including this script in another PHP file, be sure to manually
    // add the CSS declaration in the header section of your page:
    //   <link rel="stylesheet" href="(location of dd-formmailer.css)" type="text/css" media="screen" />
    // You also need to load the JS file used by the date chooser, if you choose to use this field:
    //   <script type="text/javascript" src="(location of date_chooser.js)"></script>
    // If you are using the stand-alone mode, these will be added automatically
    // LANGUAGE SETTING
    // The relative path to the language file you want to use.
    $language = 'lang/English.php';
    // FULL URL TO SCRIPT
    // The full URL to dd-formmailer.php (or whatever you have renamed it to)
    $script_path = 'http://www.swcsnp.org/dd-formmailer.php';
    // FULL URL TO CONTACT PAGE
    // If you are running this script in standalone mode, leave this blank. Otherwise,
    // enter the full URL to the page that is displaying the form
    $path_contact_page = '';
