Averaging a value of a range from prior year

Hi our requirement is :
Account1-> Budget = Avg of Account1 of prior year from Jun to Mar ->Actual+ Avg of Account1 of prior to prior year for Apr & May->Actual
I tried with @Avgrange & @ Prior but without success.
Can anyone provide a soulution?
Thanks in advance..

Not sure how robust\elegant you need your solution (is it a one-off seeding exercise?)
Anyway, something like this should work (i'm sure there are more clever ways out there if that's what you need)
FIX(Budget, etc)
Account1 = (@SUMRANGE(Account1->PriorYear,Jun:Mar) + @SUMRANGE(Account1->PriorPriorYear,Apr:May)) / 12;
ENDFIX
or if you are seeding a budget from Actuals would work across a range of accounts.
FIX(AccountList)
Budget = (@SUMRANGE(Actual->PriorYear,Jun:Mar) + @SUMRANGE(Actual->PriorPriorYear,Apr:May)) / 12;
ENDFIX

  • Clearing of down payments on assets from prior year

    Hello,
    we have the following problem with an Asset under Construction (AuC) that has been migrated from a legacy system with down payments in a prior year.
    Migration has taken place in 2007 (within the year). The down payment has not been cleared in 2007, but left on the asset for 2008. The clearing of the down payment on vendor side has already taken place in 2007.
    When the AuC shall now be settled to a final asset via AIBU, the error message AW605 "Down payment to recipient YYYY area 01 amount XXXX not cleared" appears.
    When the down payment on the Asset under Construction shall be cleared first with transaction ABSO (TType 181 "Clearing of down payments from current year"), the following error message appears: AA571 "Not possible to post down payment clearing. There are no down payments".
    In our SAP Version 6.0 there is NO transaction type "Clearing of down payments from prior year", though.
    Would appreciate any indication how to deal with the issue now - do we need to create a special transaction type for this purpose? If yes, how to configure the settings so that SAP knows to clear down payments from prior year?
    Thanks very much in advance for any help!
    Gabi

    I replied to your second post
    But my question is then how does the down payment appears in the CJI3 report
    Also, I am aware of your initial post. I feel, the details you gave is insufficient. You have just said there are two down payments made against a PO one is reflecting in WBSE another one is not. It will be difficult for others to suggest you a proper solution, You will have to give more detials as how you made the two down payments and you should tell us apart from appearing in WBSE what are all the other differences ..etc., You should give as much details as possible.

  • Scope statement for Change From Prior Year

    Hello All,
    I have to create Current Year, Prior year  and change from Prior year for all the measures. I was able to creat current Year and Prior Year calcuation with scope statemnet. But I could not do the same for Change from Prior year.  I am getting 0 for
    all the months.
    Here is what i have:
    SCOPE([LABEL].[LABEL].&[ChangeFromPY])
    THIS=
    AGGREGATE(
    [DATE DT].[Date_Hierarchy].CURRENTMEMBER,
    [LABEL].[LABEL].&[Current Year]
    AGGREGATE(
    PARALLELPERIOD
    [DATE DT].[Date_Hierarchy].[Year], 1, [DATE DT].[Date_Hierarchy].CURRENTMEMBER),
    [LABEL].[LABEL].&[Prior Year]

    Hi Om25,
    According to your description, the Prior year calculation works on Excel, however, it not works when creating dashborad in performance Point, right? In this case, you can create separate measures for Prior Year in Cube, and use it in performance Point directly.
    Here is a link that might helpful for you, please see:

  • SSRS Matrix report. Variance expression by Month. Need to compare month from prior year to current month of current year VS2010

    Please help.  I have a matrix report.  In the report I have row group  PO Type.  One the Column groups I have a parent group by Fiscal Year, and then a child group by Month.  When I run the report, I get two years of data back broken
    out by month.  Please see below.
    Now here is where I am getting stuck.  I need to take the variance between the current month of the current year, from the same month of the prior year.  So I need to show the difference between Oct , 2014 from Oct, 2013. November, 2014 from November
    2013... etc. etc.
    In the example below, how do I create a column or row showing the variance for Contracts for October 2014.  I need to take the contracts for October 2014 which is 3 and subtract that from October 2013 which is 8.  Any suggestions? How do I do that
    for each month?  Then I need to do it for the quarter... then the year?  But I'll be happy if I can just get the month working first.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    here is what my rdl file looks like.
    Here is what my report looks like when I render it.

    Hi Adrian_s2012,
    According to your description, you want to compare values for the month of current year with the month of prior year and get the variance. Right?
    In Reporting Services, we don't have any function to get this "Year to Year" Growth. In this scenario, if you data source is a cube, we suggest you use Analysis Services to achieve your requirement. If this data source is just from database, it will be hardly
    to calculate the variance because we need to compare the values within every two different column group and matrix generate adjacent columns one by one. Even we make it by using custom, every time executing the long code when generating result
    in a cell will reduce a lot of performance, we really don't suggest to do that in SSRS. Here is a thread with much easier requirement, please take a reference of that:

    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • It appears that iPad does not retain information from prior years - appointments, etc.  Valuable info is lost unless there is an archive feature that I cannot find.

    It appears that the iPad, and also the iPhone do not retain information for prior years, such as appointments, etc.  Unless there is an archive feature, which I have not found, valuable information is lost.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you so much to JimHdk.   A really simple solution, but I guess I am not totally familiar with my iPad.  I have a high learning curve with my iPhone also.

  • Average of values in variable ranges

    Post Author: Graybane
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    I am trying to generate a trend values that use variable ranges. For instance, I want a 12 month trend developed from preceeding 1 year + 1 month average, then preceeding year + 2 months average, then preceeding year + 3 months average and so on. I only want the values for the report for the 12 monthly values. This is all complicated by being a group function. Basically I am looking at priorities for requests in a single field and developing how long it takes to resolve the request based on another field which is what is used to develoe the averages for the trend. I have tried several methods and never gotten a good trend. The total average is correct if I do not do any weighting. Has anyone had any success with this? Are there any examples I can look at. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks for any help

    I'm not entirely following you, Visakh, but I have a SQL Task setup in which I have an expression that makes a call to a db2 database such as the abbreviated set example below.  The list of IDs in the IN statement must come from another  SQL Server
    database.   In the past I have  gotten the list of IDs, put them in a recordset and then put that in a for loop to iterate and make one call to db2 for each and every ID.   The single ID example can literally take days to run for 100,000 IDs.
     Therefore, I want to pull the entire set of results back at one time via a single (or at least fewer calls than there are IDs) DB2 call using 'in' instead.  Maybe I am overlooking something but I don't quite see how your example will get me where
    I want to go.
    Set Example
    SELECT
       A,
       B
    FROM
        Table 1,
        Table 2,
    WHERE
        Joins
        AND PRSNEUP.ID in  ( This is where I want a list of IDs )
    Single ID Example
    SELECT     A,
     B
    FROM
      Table 1,      Table 2,
    WHERE
    Joins        AND PRSNEUP.ID =  ( VariableContainingASingleID

  • Spread Data Over Multiple Months & Years with Data from Multiple Years

    Hello Everyone,
    I have a complex calculation for spreading values over several months spanning mulitle years. Because we have a 36 month rolling Forecast, a more sophisticated calc is required as opposed to hard coding months or years.
    Heres the description:
    Users enter the following data,
    FY11     BegBalance     Number of BOD Members     10
              BOD Options Vesting Months     20
              BOD Options Accounting Value     10
              BOD Options- Number of Shares     100
              BOD Grant Month     Aug
    FY12     BegBalance     Number of BOD Members     5
              BOD Options Vesting Months     10
              BOD Options Accounting Value     5
              BOD Options- Number of Shares     200
              BOD Grant Month     Oct
    FY13     BegBalance     Number of BOD Members     20
              BOD Options Vesting Months     8
              BOD Options Accounting Value     20
              BOD Options- Number of Shares     100
              BOD Grant Month     Feb
    Based on the above;
    "BOD Stock" is calculated as following/month=Number of BOD Members*BOD Options Accounting Value*BOD Options- Number of Shares/ BOD Options Vesting Months
    Start month for the above is based on "BOD Grant Month". So, for instance considering data for FY11:
    The total "BOD Stock" value is $10000 (originating from FY11) with start month of AUG in FY11 and the number of months to spread over is 20 months. So, essentially the "BOD Stock" per month (originating from FY11) is $500 starting from AUG FY11 to Mar FY13.
    Similarly, the total "BOD Stock" value is $5000 (originating from FY12) with start month of OCT in FY12 and the number of months to spread over is 10 months. So, essentially the "BOD Stock" per month (originating from FY12) is $500 starting from OCT FY12 to JUL FY13.
    The challange I am facing is because of the number of months to spread. Because I have data to spread from multiple years and each year's data spills into the following years, each year should accumulate data from prior years. For instance;
    FY11 should include only FY11
    FY12 should include FY11 and FY12
    FY13 should include FY11, FY12 and FY13.
    Could anyone suggest a smarter way to do this without writting code for each year, maybe using @MDALLOCATE function? The following shows how data should be spread and accumulated.
                             BegBalance     Jan     Feb     Mar     Apr     May     Jun     Jul     Aug     Sep     Oct     Nov     Dec     Period
    FY11     Number of BOD Members          10     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi     #mi

    Why not use substitution variables for Years? you could have something like &Year1, &Year2, &Year3

  • How to make labview program to get average value of 200 reading from multimeter (by using loop)

    Hello
    How to make labview program to get average value of 200 reading from multimeter (I using using loop) to read voltage from mulmeter  but I like to get average value of all of 200 reding how can I do that?
    Thanks

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Another idea with less programming - take advantage of the "free" array that comes with a Chart - i.e. the  History Data.
    1) Wire your DMM data to a Chart. (You can set the chart to invisible if you don't plan on using it in the GUI).
    2) Set the Chart History Length to 200 (right click on the chart, click on Chart History Length...)
    3) On the block diagram, use the History Data Property Node, wire it to Mean.vi, and you're done.
    Easiest running average ever.

  • How to Pass Multiple Value Range From Query ?

    Hi,
    I have searched over SDN to find about how do we pass multiple value ranges from Query to SAP ODATA?
    But I have not found suitable answers so I am posting it here.
    If we need to pass a date parameter in Query which has a multiple range like  sales orders created date between 03/02/2014 to 05/07/2014.
    How do we phrase it in Query ?
    I tried as below but the IT_FILTER_SELECT_OPTIONS of /IWBEP/IF_MGW_APPL_SRV_RUNTIME~GET_ENTITYSET does not get filled up with the parameters
    How do we pass multiple values in Query?

  • Averaging an member of a range list of prior year

    Hi our requirement is :
    Account1-> Budget = Avg of Account1 of prior year from Jun to Mar ->Actual+ Avg of Account1 of prior to prior year for Apr & May->Actual
    I tried with @Avgrange & @ Prior but without success.
    Can anyone provide a soulution?
    Thanks in advance..

    I think you might actually be better off using substitution variables for the years. MDShift works great but does not work in combination with other functions such as AVG or SUMRANGE. In some of my formulas, I use MDSHIFT and list out all the months instead of using a sum. It's pretty ugly but it does work. Here's a brief example:
    IF (@ISMBR("JAN")).....
    ELSEIF (@ISMBR("SEP")) (@MDSHIFT("ADMIN FEE"->OCT,-1,YEARS,)+@MDSHIFT("ADMIN FEE"->NOV,-1,YEARS,)+@MDSHIFT("ADMIN FEE"->DEC,-1,YEARS,)+@SUMRANGE("ADMIN FEE",JAN:SEP));
    ENDIF
    In the example, if the month I am calucating is September, I want to take the data from Oct through December of last year and add it with the data from January to September of the current year so that I had a true year's worth of data. Let me know if you'd like me to clarify further. Good luck.

  • I need to validate Input List Of Values Field when Inserted From Bean

    I've two view object EmployeeView and DepartmentsView
    In Employee View I've changed Department_Id to Input List OF Values
    I've created a bean to inset data into Employee Table
          ApplicationModule am = ADFUtils.getApplicationModuleForDataControl("AppModuleDataControl");
          ViewObject importedVO = am.findViewObject("EmployeesView");
    try {

                newEmp.setJobId("AD_VP");

  • CURRENT YEAR SALES DATE PARAMATER AND PRIOR YEAR SAME DATE RANGE

    I am pulling data from a SQL view dbo.view that has current and historical SOP data by line.  The date paramater is a date range,  uppr date and lower date formulas are in the report.  I need to include prior year SOP data for the same prior year date range in the detail.  I have tried adding the view in twice with no luck, just duplications.  Ultimately I want to supress the detail and only show the totals by customer so it is comparitive.  Thanks for your help.  Jayne

    OK
    lets simplify it
    get a test data source with some simple dates in it.
    get the report logic working.
    it looks like you have the right formula ideas but lets go for
    @upperthisyear
    @upperlastyear
    @lowerthisyear
    @lowerlastyear
    then assuming a date field of {table1.date}
    the record selection would be
    if (@upperthisyeare > {table1.date} and @lowerthisyear < {table1.date}) or (@upperlastyeare > {table1.date} and @lowerlastyear < {table1.date}) then 1 else 0
    I would test this by using it as a formula field with the test data.

  • NAM 5.1 How to create Application with port range from cli?

    Hello,
    I can create new Applicaion with port range from GUI, but I can not do it from CLI
    If I do it by CLI as a:
    nam# application
    nam# name mkst-cur-A
    nam# match udp 16001-16009
    nam# exit
    then
    nam# show application app-tag 268435576
    custom:120 (268435576) mkst-cur-A
      udp 16001
    nam#
    But if I do it by GUI and than
    nam# show application app-tag 268435576
    custom:120 (268435576) mkst-cur-A
      udp 16001 - 16009
    nam#
    How to do it by CLI?

    Hi Alexey,
    Sure, the function you're looking for is in the ANALYSIS panel under the "CUrve Fitting" palette-- it's called "Linear Mapping".  You will need to create the desired X channel prior to calling this function, though, so you will probably need to use the ANALYIS function "Generate Numeric Channel" in the "Channel Functions" palette.
