I am new to MIDlets so I need some initial help related to UI generation in MIDlets.
I have to Insert multiple Icons in a canvas.
These Icon should behave like button i.e. all Icon must have key-pressed event separately(i.e.
when any particular Icon will be selected(positioned whatever) some action will be performed.
same like in smart phone a single screen contains multiple icon for multiple operations to be
performed.
Is it possible in single canvas or I have to make multiple canvas for each icons?

Try this out:
(1) Copy program DD_ADD_PICTURE into your own version called ZDD_ADD_PICTURE. Make sure
you select all the checkboxes (including GUI Status and screens).
(2) Paste the modified code at the end of this reply into your ZZ_ADD_PICTURE program.
(3) Run ZZ_ADD_PICTURE for a range of Icons (e.g. enter Icon name ICON_IN* on the selection screen)
(4) When you get the result list, type in ok-code EXPO directly in the ok-code
field (you could also add a button for this function in the GUI status).
(5) Download all the displayed icons as .gif files into a Windows folder
that you have created to hold the icon .gif files (e.g. C:SAPICONS)
(6) Now you can work with the icon files as you would any .gif file. (e.g. In a Word doc, use menu path
Insert -> Picture -> From file.)

Query by example - how can I display VCRow in JTable?

I would like to provide the user with a searchable table.
Actually I would like to use two tables: one, displaying one row where the user can specify the search criteria. And the second table should display the data found.
I could store the entered criteria locally in a hashmap in TableModel, for example, then create a WHERE clause. This solution is quite messy, since the user can add, remove and rearrange the columns of both tables.
Or I could use -I hope- the query-by-example feature, like this:

The JUNavigationBar does it, if I am not mistaken. It switches the PanelBinding to find mode, and then a JTable displays a ViewCriteriaRow (?) instead of the ViewObject's data. But I don't want to use the bar. How do I create this behaviour manually?
The javadoc of JUPanelBinding says:
"Sets this panel and all its associated iterators into find mode."
So I guess that setting iterators into find mode is what I need. But I cannot figure out how to do that. Who can?

You cannot set the iterators in a panelBinding to separate find/data modes individually.
However you can create two JUPanelBinding objects one for the findMode form and one that displays Data.
here's what I did to modify a generated SingleForm, to display two panels of the same type one in find mode and other in data mode.
I changed the jbInit method of the "LayoutPanel" class to be like:

it is correct, that the best way to learn about JTable is to read the online tutorial about JTable. To give you a quick guideline, where to start your implementation, I will add this:
A JTables data is hold in a TableModel. TableModel is an interface, so if a class implements this interface correctly, you can simply populate the data hold by this TableModel by constructing a JTable this way
JTable jt = new JTable(MyTableModel);
where MyTableModel is your class, which implements the TableModel interface.
When JTable has to render a cell, it will call the getValueAt(...) method of the TableModel for example.Your implementation of this method must deliver the requested data - if you prefetch a bunch of data from a file and store it internally in this TableModel or fetch it from the file just in time, is up to you.

How to change icon of a Folder-track?

By Folder-track I mean the Folder in Arrange window that is created from "packing reions". Is that even possible in LogicPro7 - to change it's icon?
I mean I know how to change icons for my audio tracks, audio-instrument tracks. And it would be nice if I can assign different icons for different Folder-tracks.

It is possible... use option-command-hold on the icon of the folder in a track in the arrange and up pops the many icons to choose from.
You can set the icon to something other than the folder.
To make different folders I guess you would have to do some image editing
and make your own icons but that is pretty easy.
Put your user create icons here...
~/Library/Application Support/Logic/Images/Icons
and logic will load your numbered image file instead of the default ones that
Logic would normaly use.
Note: 1.png is the file name of the regular folder icon.
