B210 Printers--All in One

Printer just stopped printing (But not mid-page) after printing a short document.  Replaced cartridge just in case even though it showed that there was about 25% of the ink still left in the cartridge. After running the cartridge and print head alignment tool, it still sends and error message saying the cartridge is not aligne.  Any feedback would be appreciated.
PS:  This happened once before several months ago and then te printer started working again for no apparent reason.

Hello Spider12,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Regarding the B210a alignment issue, I would try the steps offered here: Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Photosmart Plus e-All-in-One (B210a, B210b, B210c, and B210.... It will have you troubleshooting the whole printing ink system and not just the alignment issue.
Let me know the out come, and if possible, upload an image of the Quality Report.

  • B210 Photosmart all-in-one have OCR capability ?

I have a B210 all-in-one printer. I would like to scan items, save them to a file, and then OCR them so i can compile them into a separate document that is text editable. A document such as a Word doc.
Will this B210 printer perform this function for me? Is there a software package I need to make this happen?
    thank you ,

Is a new printhead likely to resolve this issue?
In my personal experience, the answer is 'no' - a printhead won't help. By the time you've spent money on replacing a small part that may not even fix the issue, you're better off putting that towards a replacement printer.
One thing I would do, is call tech support and see if they have any out of warranty options for trading in your old printer. They used to back in the day, might be prudent to ask if that program still exists.

  • HP Printers/All in Ones - Really Need Input and Advice Before 10.6

I have two small offices; both Airport networked; all using 10.5.8; no funky stuff on any of my machines; before going to SL I need to know whether my printers and Fax/Scanners will work.
    Those are:
    HP Color LaserJet 2600n
    HP Color LaserJet 3600n
HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf Multifunction Printer (Fax, Scan and Print)
I've seen conflicting and various reports with no real clear answer on whether any/all/some of these work in SL.
So - Will any/all/some of these work in SL?
If one or more won't work, I've seen some posts about reinstalling 10.5 drivers, but I've found no instructions in that regard and I don't have a clue as to even how to do that, if that would make me functional. If that will make one or more that won't work from the SL install disc work as a back door fix, can someone give instructions.
I can't afford to be down without printers, FAX and scan; I really can't afford to go buy all new hardware (especially since most still have 2 years under extended warranty).
Can someone give a clear answer?
I'd really like to update but have to have printers, Fax and scan to work
    In advance - Thanks!

Actually I've seen other forum posts about your 2600 model. In general if you have an older HP model that they consider "legacy" then it will not be supported. Newer models that had Leo drivers should have SL drivers "soon." Otherwise, you can try whatever drivers are available in SL. Some users in the past have gotten limited function using the Generic driver.
The fella who authored this post is from HP and has made several posts about the entire issue. See if that helps you any.

  • Which wireless all in one printers work best with ipad 4

Please help me decide which wireless all in one printer works best with the ipad 4.  I am looking for better photo printing quality, but not the very best.  I am concerned mainly with being able to set up the printer using only my ipad 4 and wireless router, as I do not own a PC with a cd/rom.  I am also interested in which brand of compatible printers is less expensive to buy ink and paper for.  I would prefer a more compact unit.  Thank you in advance for any advice.

These days I prefer Brother printers. They appear to have engineered their printers with AirPrint as well as OS X compatibility from the start, unlike certain others who appear to have included it as an afterthought.
Brother's models are inexpensive, their ink is also inexpensive and lasts a long time, and their photo quality is at least as good as anyone else's. They have a two year warranty and lifetime free technical support with people who understand Apple.
Read the reviews (Amazon for instance, but be sure to read user reviews on the various manufacturer's websites as well) and decide for yourself.
Brother™ Monochrome Laser Printer and All-in-One models now support AirPrint.
Brother™ Color Inkjet All-in-One units now support AirPrint.
I positively detested every inkjet printer I ever had until I bought the Brother.

  • Trying to install multiple All in One Printers on new laptop

Got a new HP Envy laptop running Windows 8.1.   Replacing old HP running XP.  Trying to install two HP All in One printers on my home wireless network  HP 6500 E709n and a HP 7410.  I am stuck in an infinte loop using the HP Print and Scan Doctor.  I load up one printer Driver using the downloads on the website.  When I go to load the other printer, the system won't let me continue until I uninstall the previous printer driver and accessy software.
Anyone know how to get around it?

    Hello again,
Thanks for getting back to me!
Next, I would suggest uninstalling all of the printer software on your computer, performing a clean boot and then reinstalling the OJ 7410 first and then the OJ 6500. Here are the steps and links in order for you.
    Uninstalling the Printer Software
    Restart the PC

    Restart the PC
Download and Install - HP Officejet 7410 All-in-One Printer
    Download and Install - HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All-in-One Printer - E709n
I hope this works for you!

    Hi Alloest,
I see that you're having problems with your printer control panel.  I would take a look at the document below.

  • Two HP all in ones won't work, do Lexmark printers work?

Mom has tried literally everything to get the HP 1315 all in one and the HP 1410v all in one to work [under Panther], and the last call to HP resulted in HP telling her that it was a problem that was not due to HP's software.
So, she will be trading the 1410v in for a Lexmark printer/scanner/fax combo tomorrow.
I just wonder if she is going to experience the same problems with Lexmark and it is a problem not related to the printers.
    Comments on Lexmark printers please.

Install the HP Drivers from HP.
I installed V9.7.1 from the HP website:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-55650-2 &lc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=219&product=3204785&dlc=en
This provides 'Hp Device Manager' which will scan images or do OCR on text pages....

could you tell me the name of a all in one printers that i can use on mac and pc, can i buy it in apple store

What version of OS X are you using? If it's recent (Snow Leopard or Lion), almost all the newest all-in-one printers (regardless of brands and models) are compatible with both Windows (XP and over) and OS X. Finding a network-operated (or shared) printer could prove more difficult, of course.
Now, buying one in an Apple Store is another matter, first because I'm not sure you can find printers there (I may be wrong, and it may depend on how big the Apple Store is; I don't remember seeing any in the Paris Apple Stores I went to, namely at the Louvres and near the Opera), and second because you're bound to pay a lot more for one in an Apple Store than in, say, a department store or an electronics retailer.

What multifunction (all-in-one) BW laserjet printers work with Mac OS 10.9 and 10.8? - Printing, scanning and faxing!
I had a HP3052 whith a scaner message error 5 which can't print anymore. Anyway scanning with this HP is not supported anymore. So looking into the huge HP compatibility list on the web I see no good choice:

The new HP LaserJet M127fn MFP  duplex is not even on this list...
I prefer laser than ink printers (I hate buying cartridges every month or have the system stuck with dry ink when not used for a month).
There are some good brother laserprinters, e.g. MFC7860DW, but PC-Fax doesn't work on Mac (I believe).
Thanks to anybody with some good ideas.

Thanks baltwo, but I am looking for a printer-copier-scanner-fax machine. I think I might go with the brother

  • All in One Printers for AE?

I've just returned to the Mac world after years with Windows. I've spent many hours trying to get an older HP printer to work with both XP SP2 desktop and wireless with my new MacBook Pro. It did work, but with some issues after research on this forum. However, when upgrading to Leopard, I lost the ability to print from the MacBook.
The printer is old, so I thought I'd just buy a new printer that is compatible with Airport Extreme. However, both Lexmark and HP only list discontinued printers as compatible with AE. Does anyone know if there are any new All in One printers that will work with AE? Or is the best solution to buy something that I hook up to the desktop and then print from the MacBook by sharing the printer? I only need to print wirelessly through the All-in-One. I don't use the scanner, but need to fax and copy occasionally.
    Thanks!!!

    Hook48 wrote:
It doesn't seem to me that I can find any printers that are current to buy that are compatible with AE. Is this correct?
It's not as though they are not compatible, it's more no one has either updated the manufacturers' lists or has tested and asked for it to be added to the unofficial list.
Some of the low end HP AIO (all-in-one) printers will only work though the USB port of an Airport base station through the use of third party drivers, and usually the P1000 PhotoSmart driver which (for some people) does not allow for good printing results.
You are either best to connect the AIO to a specific computer or purchase an AIO which either has an ethernet connection or is wireless.

  • Are there any new All-in-one printers for sale that use the CLI-221 cartridges?

We have a MX870 Printer that needs to be replaced but new cartridges were just purchased from Canon.  Are there any new All-in-one printers for sale that use the CLI-221 cartridges?
    Thanks,

The MX922 (known as the MX926 in Australia) is supported by 10.10 and Windows 7. Whatever site you were looking at may not have updated their details. Here is a link from the Canon Australia web site showing the drivers and applications for this model for 10.10.

My printer is a fairly new all-in-one Brother MFC-7860 DW. It is not listed in the iPad AirPrint printers. Can I get it to work with my new iPad2?

If it's not an Airprint enabled printer, you can not natively through your iPad.  BUT, there are apps you can purchase in the App Store, like Print Central ($9), which is what I use myself and works well for my needs.

  • What All in one printers are supported with 10.9?

My HP C6380 will no longer scan with my Mac (Scan utility, Image Capture or Preview) and HP says they are not interested in fixing it. So I am shopping for a new All in One. I looked at the Airprint compatible printers (HP,Cannon, Epson), but they only seem to support 10.8 and below. What is compatible, is there an updated list?

Here is a list of Airprint printers:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356
Check the models on their websites as the should show the specs/requirements.
FWIW, I just purchased an Epson XP810 and Airprint works well both with ML and Mavericks; I'm not so sure about its quality in scanning photos and will be contacting Epson about that issue.

  • All in One Printers

I have a Photosmart Premium C309a printer on Windows 7. I have just purchased an Ipad which needs "Air Print".
My printer does not support Air Print, so it looks like I will need to purchase a new one.
I need an all in one that has WiFi, Scanning, Copying, Printing (including borderless A4 photographs), Faxing, DVD/CD printing and Air Print.
I have not been able to track down an HP all in one that prints DVDs and CDs. The function seems to have been dropped.from HP printers.
    Any suggestions?
    Reg Ford

Unfortunately you are correct. The ability to print directly to CDs has been dropped. All of new All-In-Ones have all the features you requested. Do you have a price range you are looking to keep? In your previous thread I recommended using the: HP Product Advisor
Also check out the HP Shopping page which has the ability to sort products by features. This will help you eliminate anything that does not fit your needs.
    Hope that helps!
