Babelfish HTML snippet - iWeb 2.0 - does not translate

I'm trying to use an HTML snippet in iWeb 2.0 and translate the page into other languages using Alta Vista's Babelfish translator.
For some reason the translator does not work and I can't see the translated page. Any ideas or simply iWeb is not processing the snippet properly? I think it is this because using the program iWebMore it processes the snippet properly.

Are you sure you look in the right place? ~ is another name for your home directory. You open a finder window. Then you click on your home directory, on the left, in the places section, you select your name (or whatever login name you use on your computer). You see a list of directories including "Desktop", "Documents" and "Library". Open "Library" then "Preferences". Preferences contains a lot of .plist files. One should be com.apple.iWeb.plist if you have used iWeb before.

HTML Snippet for FEEDBACK FORM does not work the way I expected

Hello folks,
I have used following code as a Snippet to create a FEEDBACK FORM, so people can send their comments. I was hoping that when people write their comments and click Send, the comment will be sent directly to my e-mail. Instead, after clicking Send button, the Mail Manager pops up. So it is pretty much the same as if they click on the e-mail address link. Is this normal? I thought, that these comments will be sent directly via that FEEDBACK FORM, not via Mail Manager.

The action is usually a php file.
Otherwise, simply create a button and make it a mail link in the Inspector.
If you cannot figure this out, you'd better refrain from using it.
Or start learning how to use forms.

WCF returning "The content type text/html of the response message does not match the content type of the binding (application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8)"

I have a WCF service I am trying to run on a new installation of 64-bit Windows Server 2008 IIS. Although it runs fine on Windows 2003 IIS, it is throwing the error in the thread title, which appears to be a server config issue, but I am not sure. Googling and searching the MSDN forums did not turn up a solution. I tried running WCF Logging, but that didn't help either.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this probelm?

I have the same service hosted on my local machine and when I point to the local service I can execute the operation with no issues. The message encoding is Soap11. I tried changing to Soap12 but I get exact same error. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
I do have windows Activation Features installed and I am using .Net Framework 4.

IWeb photo gallery does not work in IE

Does anyone know why iWeb photo gallery does not work in Internet Explorer but does work in Safari, Chrome & Firefox?

What kind of a response are you looking for with a post like that, seriously? Change this or that in your unprovided code? Use this or that gallery, which may be the gallery you're already using. We don't know because you haven't mention specifics, provided any code, or any other relevant information to produce a helpful response. All you've said is you click a link and it's white. Kudos.

HTML snippet works on Firefox but not in IE or Safari

First off, I'm a newbie.
I just created a webcam site in iWeb at www.blackcatcam.com. I used the following HTML snippet to show the webcam image;

It is supposed to go get a constantly updated webcam image from the server and display it on the web site.
The entire page works fine using Firefox but the webcam image does not show up using Safari and the HTML snippet itself shows up when accessing the page from IE.
Any suggestions?

Yikes. Now I'm even more confused. I am using Safari Version 4.0.3. I can see the links on the right and the ads on the left just fine, but still no webcam image. Would you mind clicking on the link for the Live View and let me know if that works for you? I found out that the gadget I used for that won't work with IE but it works fine for me with Safari and Firefox.

Hyperlink on html to a word document does not navigate to the bookmark

i am trying to navigate to a word document bookmark from an html page
<p><a href = "file:///D:\temp.docx#my_bookmark">my_bookmark</a></p>
When we click on the link, we get a pop up from internet explorer asking "What do you want to do with temp.docx?"
When, we click on "Open", the work document opens up but does not navigate to the bookmark.
i am able to navigate to the same bookmark when i create a hyperlink inside another word document
ie. navigation from one word document to another work document bookmark works.
i am using windows 7 , microsoft office 2010

#my_bookmark at the end?
It should be a query about HTML code, there is not so much we can do on Office client side. For your case, I would suggest you post in the MSDN forum of

Adding a Lightroom Gallery on an iweb site- that does NOT use .mac

I've been checking all past posts but only find references to adding a Lightroom Gallery in iweb if the user has mobile me/uses a .mac account. Someone else has asked this same question on July 20 and received no answers so far. Both of us using iweb '08. I've also gone the other direction but all Lightroom answers also refer to .mac accounts.
I've tried following the methods in past posts using html snippets and iframes but they don't seem to be a perfect fit without the .mac account. Anyone have any advice here? Many thanks.

I tested and it worked fine for me....
I went through Yahoo steps and had code generated...
Went to iWeb and on page I wanted to add chart, I clicked on the "Web Widgets" icon at bottom of iWeb page and picked "HTML Snippet" and then pasted code in area provided (where it says paste code), finally I hit "Apply" saved my pages and published. Worked fine.

Does not translate data

Hi, friends.
I'm quite new in HFM, and I'm trying to make HFM do not translate data for a single entity. Let me explain better: I have an Entity with a hyperinflation, and must have both, entity currency and USD loaded from txt files. The problema is that today I load entity currency and translate data from TCC.
Do you guys have any idea of how can I make to not translate?

You can load data only to the entity currency value of an entity, so loading translated values in a data file will not work, but you can do adjustments in parent currecy adjs value, so you can have whichever value you want to see in parent curr total value.
making hfm do no translation for a specific entity is also possible, you can either do it in translation rule
sub translation
If HS.Value.Currency = XXX and HS.Entity.Member = EntityName Then Exit Sub
end sub
or in calculation rule
If HS.Value.Currency = XXX and HS.Entity.Member = EntityName Then HS.Clear "A#ALL"
if you want only some accounts (base of BS, base of PL etc) to be cleared you should use a for loop

Iweb updated page does not display correctly in firefox or safari

tried to update my site with a couple of cues and the wheels have completely come off. i cannot get the site to display correctly.
it looks a bit better if i open the page directly from the computer, but after sending it to ftp host it will not load up properly in the browsers.
i have no idea what is going on and i rather desperately need that site back up and running
help!!

This is happening probably because the text encoding on your server end is set wrong. Or perhaps your FTP program is doing the encoding differently. This is commonlly seen when uploading iWeb pages to 3rd party servers and can be corrected.
Our own Tom Gewecke has a nice writeup about these strange looking characters that can appear. He also has some suggestions about what to check and what to do. Check it out and see if any of it might be relevant to your situation. If not come on back and we'll keep trying to troubleshoot with you...

Here is a copy/paste from an older RoboHelp HTML CHM file that we might use as an example:
Window-level Help for Windows applications
To call a topic using a map number, make a call to the HTML Help API using the following syntax:

To call a topic using a file name, make a call to the HTML Help API using the following syntax:

Iweb rss feed does not work

You failed to upload the whole site. The folder called CrossTo_Kingdom2, which should enclose all the other files, is missing. Also you need to upload the index.html file which iWeb created alongside that folder.

Html creator in Blackboard CE does not open.

So, my AIR calls that "coder.php" file, which is basically a very basic code, with some links, but these links are with "_blank" option activated, so when you click on it , the link will open a new browser... right ?
When I display my "coder.php" file from a browser (IE, Firefoz, etc) the links work fine, but when I work it from my AIR file, and click on such links... they do not open any new browser....
