Background color only, no images :(

Yes I'm new to DW be gentle :D Ive searched a bunch of other
threads but...Anyway I dont know what info you need. Im on Mac DW
CS3 V9.0. I use Firefox and DirectAdmin. Alternate Text is the only
thing that displays. This is the page source paste:

Im sure its a simple fix that Im not seeing. I used to be
great in frontpage about 5 years ago but I forgot everything and we
use everything adobe now.

You sure you uploaded this to your server?
It says in the source now that you have it in your images
folder - yet it
isn't there, or its named something else.
Check the file on the server, and the naming of it also.

I don't think you need <html><header><title>Test</title></header>
<body></body></html> for your HTML-Portlet.

How to change background color only in specific pages???

Hi! I try to change color of background in pdf document using adobe reader, but it only changes all pages together and I can't find a way to do it on selected pages(or even select them). For example I need to change only 1st and last page to grey background color and leave the middle pages with white background color. Please help! Thanks

I seldom use Word so I can't help you with that problem. It could be in the way you are adding the background in Word but again, I use it about oncve a month.
If you have Adobe Illustrator, you could do it there by adding a colored box in a layer behind the text (you can open the pdf directly in Illy).

Spry vertical menu button shows background color instead of image in preview

Hello All, I'm a newbie (to the forum and Dreamweaver) so my apologies if my question is not in good form. I've searched for this issue but cannot seem to find the exact problem I have.
I've created a website (my first) and used the spry menu bar. It works well using the default blue and grey colors for button and hover. However, I decided I want to spruce it up a little and change the buttons to use a background image (rainbow pattern) instead of background color. I internet researched this for some time and watched all the youtube videos people have posted for this process and editing the spry vertical menu bar CSS. Using the .a and hover lines from the CSS, I was able to add my background .jpg image file. In the design view, the button look exactly how I want them to. However, when I attempt to preview in IE, Chrome, or FF, the buttons still have the default colors and no image. I've gone back and deleted the default blue and grey, but then the preview just shows dark grey and white for the buttoms. is there something that I am overlooking that would cause the background color to show instead of the image I have attached to the buttons. I can't figure out why it looks right in DW but not in preview.
BTW, I'm editing a template file and all the pages are updated with the new image buttons, but none of the pages show correctly in preview.

LV Bug? - Blink Background color only red after build

It seems no matter what I choose for a Tools/Options/Environment/Blink Background color during debug (which works perfectly), the color will always revert back to the default of red after I build the application. I realize I can choose the colors but I would like to know why the blink color reverts back to red when the application is built. I am running LV2011 but I have noticed this in many of the previous versions as well. (I have tried changing the color from the project level as well as the debug level.)

That would be incorrect. There are LOTS of things that are in the labview.ini file that are not in the application's default .ini file. Most (if not all) of the Tools->Options settings are saved in the labview.ini file.
Also, what is this 'build spec' that I may specify the color?
I was referring to the "Advanced" page where you can specify a custom .ini file to include. Please read the documentation on the application builder.

No background color edges behind image on resize

I am making a slideshow background which adjusts to the width of the browser. However, whenever I resize the browser, the background color is visible for a moment along the edges. How can I get rid of this. I know that it is possible. If you look at the following site, the images resize perfectly:

Why background color only works partially?

I've tried to use "<d_iv class="myclass">" || #columnvalue#|| "</d_iv>" (it's div actually) in the query to make a specific column to be red at the background. Just like this:

However, it seems the color only applies partially, not fill the cell completely. Any hints? Thanks.

Thanks for the help. However I tried to follow the EXACT way Vikas did but got this kinda output:

The other weird thing was that I have to always manually put
'<d_iv class="foo"> ||#column# ||'</d_iv>' (it's div actually) into the query to make the style works, otherwise there is no effect at all, although I put the marker class to be the CSS class for the specific column.
I am using a customized generic column report template to render different row colors. I am not sure whether that's the reason which caused the problem. The templat uses the value of a column to decide the background color of rows.
Any work around of this? Thanks.

Is there a way to change the background or background color
on the spry horizontal or vertical menus without changing the main
menus?

Also, whether you are using a vertical or horizontal menu you
can find the necessary tag within CSS. Adobe as done a fairly good
job on commenting exactly what is going on.
I worked on a project for Alabama Marriage & Family using
horizontal menus. You can take a look at my navigation and see how
I structured my CSS. Each sub-menu actually has different CSS
properties so it made it a little more difficult.

Background color of the image

i am using Developer suite 10g on windows 7.
i create a report, and insert one image which is in gif format.
the background of the image is coming black when i insert it into the report.
while, when i open it with windows previewer, there is no background of the image.
kindly guide me how to remove the black color from the background of the image in report builder.

Image Component background color change

Hi,
I have am image object of an arrow in the xcelsius, I want the arrow as it is but want the background colour of the image object to be changed.

In Xcelsius we dont have that option to change the background color of image. you Can edit in paint or some other image editor tools.

what i need is filling the lower item background to the same
height as
the taller one. is it possible with lists and CSS or should i
deal with
a table?

WorkOrderList TileView Row & Selected Row Background Color Change

Hi,
     can we change the background color of WorkorderList TileView Row & Selected Row Background color ?. Actually i am trying to change the color of both in WorkOrderList but it not reflecting any color on my Agentry client. I used a style on Tile List View Data/Style.
but these applied style on Rows & Selected Rows are not working in Agentry client.
if any other alternate solution exist in Agentry, please guide me.

      Yes using Image we can achieve that goal but i want to use a background color instead of Image background. Finally I used a background color on label and set the that label field on Screen. And It's showing the background color on WorkOrderList Row & Selected Row that what i wanted. But on both Row & Selected TileView Screen showing white outline that i don't want and also i could not remove the default Selected Blue Background Color.
     Please guide me how to remove white outline and default Blue Selected Background color.

Htmltext background color

Hi.
My problem is: I need support for styling text background color inside htmlText property of a Text (or TextArea) control, for text that is marked up with html tags.
I am aware that Flex's htmltext only supports a subset of actual HTML tags:
<font color='#ff0000'>the text</font> is supported
<font backgroundColor='#ffffff'>the text</font> is not supported
And this is a problem for me because I absolutely need to be able to change the background color for certain words in the text. I searched a lot for a solution with no success. The only thing I see that supports background color is the TextField object, but I have no clue how I would implement it in the same manner as the Text or TextArea control. Does anyone have any suggestions?
(compounded with this is that rather than use: <font color='#ff0000' backgroundColor='#ffffff'>the text</font>, the text is marked up with <span id='group1'>the text</span> tags, and these CSS IDs are being processed with a stylesheet object in actionscript. So ideally, the solution should also work with stylesheets, but I can work around it if I'm forced to resort to hardcoding in the HTML tags.)
