Backingup and Restoring CMS and Auditing Database

We have a senario where out database server is completely down , we are unable to start services on SQL Server and it is not possible to restore them. Now we have our CMS and Auditing databases on that database. We have access to the file system from which we can take mdf and ldf files and restore the same to a new database. But CMS database cannot be restored in that way. How can i restore the CMS to original state. We also have a backup for those databases i.e., .bak file. Please help

You should be able to copy the *.MDF & *.LDF set from one SQL Server to another and mount them on another working SQL server. Once you have validated the SQL Server database is mounted properly simple update the ODBC on the BOBJ box to point to the new server. Make sure the ODBC name stays the same.
You problem is more related to back and restore/recover of SQL Server.

The process is as follows:
Backup the phone, Erase it, connect to iTunes for the unlock process, then your iProfile can be restored.
You can go ahead and get the SIM, bout you have to Erase the phone and connect to iTunes before it will be unlocked.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer

You must be running Windows. AMD is a service that needs to be running in order to sync your phone. You need to start it as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1567.

How do I backup and restore library and playlists?

I have 14 days left on my Win 7 trial version and now need to backup itunes. In the advance itunes preferences tab I have my music folder on a separate hard drive (K:\) but I dont see anything pertaining to playlists. How do i save playlists and what is the process needed to restore library and playlists once I get the OS up and running?

You need the itunes database. It's a file named iTunes Library.itl
Just to be safe, my advice is to back up this folder
C:\users\ username \Music
That will include the itunes folder and that ITL file.

I'd say it's possible that you internet connection is slow. I would try to cancel the download and possibly restart the router, then try the update again.

Install from scratch 3 times Mavericks but cannot used my restore it will just start for ever. After first install and restore mail and link between folder and files didn't work anymore. Now cant see my disk in finder. Help?

First install through regular update : never finishing the start after automatic restart
First install from scratch: erase through disk utility, install OS X Mavericks (using Recover mode), restart ok - Used Migration Assistant to restore applications and data only - Mail crashed each 5 inutes and asked constantly for password of my 2 accounts, links between folders and files not OK and attaching a doc was complicated. Still struggling to understand why copying the entire root dir to a disk image and then restoring from that image did not, as expected, yield an identical system, and why I even had to reinstall after doing this.
Because there is a lot more going on under the hood than merely copying files.
The only way to do what you want is to use cloning software like Carbon Copy Cloner.
My advice is to rescue your personal files to a regular non-TimeMachine external drive, Zero erase the ENTIRE drive and install OS X fresh and update, then your programs from original sources and files from backup.
Then, make a bootable clone and you can copy that as many times as you want and each one is bootable.

Ok so earlier today i restored my ipod and i went to update it and it worked. so then i went to sync it and it says your ipod is in recover mode please restore your ipod. I did what it says and restored it and i went to sync it and same message appeared.

It means the device is in recovery mode. You'll need to reconnect it to iTunes and restore it again.
You may need to connect it in recovery mode manually using the instructions in this Apple support document.

Do as it says and restore your phone at this point there is no data on your phone. If you have a backup of your phone you can restore to that backup.

you can achieve this with the rman duplicate command.
if you have the same directory structure then it is a relatively simple task, if the directory structure is different then you need to use the
'set newname' syntax.
