I get the error, Bad element of type flashx.textLayout.elements::LinkElement passed to mxmlChildren

Links cannot be children of span elements. If you want the link text to have that color, move the attribute into the span element that is a child of the link.

Illegal override of createGeometry in flashx.textLayout.elements.FlowGroupElement

I have migrated from using FlashDevelop 3.3.4 and Adobe Flash CS 5 to FlashDevelop 4.0.1 and Adobe Flash CS 5.5. I am now having a HUGE amount of trouble getting my project to work again due to TLFTextfields.
I understand that CS 5.5 uses TLF 2.0, so I have included the more recent tlfruntime.swc in the FlashDevelop project. Everything compiles fine but when I run the program I get this:
[Fault] exception, information=VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of createGeometry in flashx.textLayout.elements.FlowGroupElement.
My guess is that the new tlfruntime.swc I have included in FlashDevelop is now out of sync with the corresponding swf RSL that gets loaded at run time. In the Flash CS 5.5 folder, I can only see one RSL - textLayout_2.0.0.232.swz. In the rsls folder in FlashDevelop, it has textLayout_2.0.0.232.swf AND textLayout_2.0.0.232.swz. Both the swz files in CS 5.5 and FlashDevelop are the same size. I copeid the one from CS 5.5 over to FlashDevelop anyway, but it made no difference.
I don't know what the difference is between swf and swz, but I'm guessing FlashDevelop is loading the swf, not the swz, and I can't find a textLayout swf file in CS 5.5.
Anyone able to help out?

I guess what you mentioned about FlashDevelop should be FlashBuilder, right?
For FlashBuilder, if you are using RSL model to link TLF. You should change the corresponding settings in the Flex-config.xml. Or You may solve the problem by setting libraries as "merge into code".
For migrate from CS5 to CS5.5, you may check the help of http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flash/cs/using/flash_cs5_help.pdf. In the chapter 9, you should find the detailed steps.

Call to a possibly undefined method getClipboardContents through a reference with static type flashx.textLayout.edit:ISelectionManager.

As i am using the nigtly build of TLF 4.0.0.11073.
I want to copy some text from the TLF, by copy operation. I am getting this type of Error.
- Call to a possibly undefined method getClipboardContents through a reference with static type flashx.textLayout.edit:ISelectionManager.
In the previous build, i dont use to get this type of error, but in this nightly builds i am getting this type of error.
Can anyone help me to fix the same or any workaound.

This functionality is still available, but it has moved. It's now in a TextClipboard class, in the same flashx.textLayout.edit package. So you should replace calls to getClipboardFormat() with TextClipboard.getContents().

Hi Kiran,
Your Adapter Framework is probably not registered in the SLD.... perform the action as follows:
1. In the J2EE administrator tool in cluster - server - services - deploy
stop the J2EE applications:
a. sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.monitor
b. sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.
2. Restart the sap.com/com.sap.aii.af application.
Refer sapnote in chapter 8.2 for more in the link provided below on Trouble shooting.

In SLD You have to define all the systems and components. Under technical system in SLD , You should have entry for adapter Engine.I think that might be missing.

I know you can right click and look at meta data.
In PSE 7 it was displayed under each photo.

I have invested a lot of time, but unfortunately without success. I hope intensely that somebody of you can help me!
I have an inputText element of type Integer, which pre-filled my input field with a '0' when I'm loading/starting my form.
When I'm loading my form for the first time I would like to have an empty field and not a field, which is pre-filled with a '0'.
Is this possible?

Problem to validate XML document if the type of root element is abstract

I have the following XML document:

Please take attention to the fact that the type of root element of that BDD is abstract.
XML Schema provides a mechanism to force substitution for a particular element or type. When an element or type is declared to be "abstract", it cannot be used in an instance document. When an element is declared to be abstract, a member of that element's substitution group must appear in the instance document. When an element's corresponding type definition is declared as abstract, all instances of that element must use xsi:type to indicate a derived type that is not abstract.
Declaring an element as abstract requires the use of a substitution group. Declaring a type as abstract simply requires the use of a type derived from it (and identified by the xsi:type attribute) in the instance document.
For more information of using abstract types please see chapter 4.7 Abstract Elements and Types of XML Schema Part 0: Primer Second (http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-0/#abstract).

Can't find resource for bundle oracle.xml.mesg.XMLResourceBundle, key XSD-2046.
I tried to validate this XML document using two other libraries - XSD Schema Validator (http://apps.gotdotnet.com/xmltools/xsdvalidator/Default.aspx) and xsdvalid-29 (http://www.w3.org/XML/Schema#XSDValid). Both libraries pointed me on the error that the type of root element is abstract and it cannot be used for doing validation.
I think that Oracle should return me explaining message but not to throw exception.
Am I right? Is there really Oracle bug or I miss something?

And when calling the above procedure for test purpose, how is it possible to pass partial elements of the object type rather than setting all unused elements to null.

It ISN'T possible. How could it be? Each attribute has to be set to something don't you think?
A common way to handle that is to define a public package variable that is an instance of the object type and has ALL elements set to null. As Odie suggested a custom constructor function can be used for that.
Then you create your procedure instance by starting with an instance of the package variable (where everything is null) and setting values for the attributes you need.

Given a XSD, and an XPath - find type of leaf element

Given a XSD, and an XPath (refering to an element in a XML document
satifying that XSD), is there an utility which return the "type" of the given XPath
element.
One approach just to traverse the XSD tree, generated by the XSDBuilder,
as per the elements specified in the XPath, until you find the type of the leaf
element in the XPath.
Is there an API/ utility which does this currently?

Change Type of Screen Element in Report Program

Okay guys, I have been struggling with this the whole day.. someone please help me.
I have a selection screen defined in the selecton-screen of a report program
select-options : so_matnr for mara-matnr,
                 so_ebeln for ekpo-ebeln,
                 so_ebelp for ekpo-ebelp.
Now if I go to SE51 and give the program name and the screen number as 1000 (Default screen for report)
Now go to tab "Element List" --> "General Attributes"
in the column "Type of screen element" everything is considered as "I/O".

How to use Reference type of Data Element

Hi guys, is there anyone could give me a trace how to use reference type of data element.
More details i'm going to reach is:
I create 2 tables:
eq.
1. table ZFIRST has field X with data element ZFX (Data element i declared).
2. table ZSECOND has field Y.
Here at field Y (second table) I'm going to declare a new data element say it ZFY, but in ZFY I'm going to use the data element as i declared before (ZFX). Is it possible if I do it using reference type data element (SE11)?
I already did this way, but I got error :
Field Y: Reference ZFX to class w/o interface cannot be used in DB table ZSECOND
What does it mean?. Did I miss something about using reference data element type?.
This error occurs when I activate ZSECOND table. However in creating ZFY (reference) to data element ZFX, there is no error occur.
The point is I need to RE-declared existing data element and ot put existing data element(ZFX) to my current table (ZSECOND).
Any helpful will be highly appreciated.

Apparently system doesn't allow you to type a transparent table field with deep type. This refers to references and tables types as components. The RDBMS (Relational DB Management System) cannot interpret this componenets correclty and mapp them to TABLEs in DB.
So I am affraid you won't be able to type table component with reference to other data element.
The point is I need to RE-declared existing data element and ot put existing data element(ZFX) to my current table (ZSECOND).
Sorry but I don't get it, could you please explain this more clearly. Maybe then we can think of some workaround for you.

I would like to get the type of the elements of a collection when I give the name the collection. Does anybody suggest anything about the SQL code?

Smells like some kind of dynamic SQL or dynamic PL/SQL thing. It usually stinks.
If the dynamic part comes into play at rendering time (like in APEX for example that executes a SQL and then needs to dynamically render the projection) - use DBMS_SQL cursors (or ref cursors when rendering in an external client). Use the describe interface to dynamically determine the structure of the SQL projection.
Anything more than that - think carefully. Especially at it seems you want to deal with actual relational data structure dynamically. 99% of the time it is flawed and the remaining 1% of the time the person usually have no idea what he (or she) is really doing... ;-)
