Folks,Is there any way possible in CR 11.5 to "store" a field value to be compared with the next record's same field value? I need to compare a previous date field within a record with a new date field within the next record to see if it is a consecutive day. I just can't figure out how to do this using a formula, becase my "previous" date just becomes the current record date field. Help, my head is getting softer as we speak :-)David

I assume you just want to use the Previous() or Next() function. Look them up in the help.

Motion 4 + layered PSD files = me banging my head against the wall

I posted this same question in the other M4/PSD file problem, but it was marked as answered (and the answer isn't working for me).
I'm having a similar problem, but changing the resolution to the exact max of 2896x2896 doesn't work for me...and neither does any smaller resolution for some reason.
Today, my layered PSD file is at least not experiencing the crazy tile-effect you included in your posted images, but it is now:
1) always converting the top layer of the PSD file to a flattened image of the whole file.
2) ignoring/mutating my alpha channel information, as areas that should be transparent and smoothly masked off are now opaque and/or blocky.
My images are large, but I need to keep them large for dollying in real closely when i fly a camera through the scene. This is not a problem in After Effects, but I also need to do a lot of these 2.5D animations and several need particle/replicator effects... and I just work much much faster in Motion than AE. I don't remember having this problem with Motion 3 at all, but I can't say I've done a scientific comparison (nor do I want to uninstall M4 for M3).

I can't believe I didn't see that! I scanned them in 24-bit color but they are B&W images anyways, so I'm not sure why or how they ended up as 8-bit greyscale... maybe has something to do with the lousy HP dinosaur-of-a-scanner and it's weird proprietary HP interface (couldn't get it to interface with PS4 and don't use it enough to fuss with it).

Banging by head against the wall over FlashVars

OK. This was supposed to be a quick few minute edit that has consumed hours. There is something wrong but I can't find it.
All I want to do is read a number in from a FlashVar. These are the relavent code snippets.

I am always getting a pid=2.
Why? How can I troubleshoot this? I can't see trace values when viewing the SWF from a web page.

Portfolio question that I am banging my head against the wall trying to figure out...

I want to build a portfolio with categories. You click something and the appropriate slideshow or lightbox appears or comes into the scene. The troubling part is I dont want to scroll anywhere. I just want 6 categories and each respective lightbox all in one place. Any ideas?

In this case, I would reccomend you use something like a tabbed panel widget and place a lightbox for each inside a specific panel. You could create the overall layout for the lightbox display in the first panel and copy it across the rest to maintain design consistency.

Because this line will never be true is you are looking for both genders, unless one of the records in teh file was entered as B for gender (Hermaphrodite?)

The statement above is in the pop up error box every time, when I launch Firefox. If I click ok in the box Firefox then opens. How do I fix this initializing/launch problem?

This is cause by the way the App Store checks to see if an application is installed on your system.
Basically when an app is installed it is in the Applications folder and this is where the MAS looks for them. So it looks at your purchase history for the apps you bought and looks in the Applications folder to see if they are installed. If an app is in your purchase history but not in the Applications folder the MAS says you need to install it.
For normal apps this works fine but the OS doesn;t install into the Applications folder. So the MAS sees you have Mountain Lion in your purchase history but it's not in the Applications folder and so it says you need to download it.
Hopefully one of these days Apple wil fix this.

As the error message mentioned, it may be a mismatch between the configuration on the client and the server.Try putting all your configuration in a binding configuration and then use the same binding configuration on the server and client. Since this issue

Well that is the message i get. I can still use firefox(version3.6.8)

You get that error if an extension is using an old and no longer supported method to install a plugin.
Which plugin are you trying to install?

Ok I think it's a problem with my router. I went to my cousin's house and the Wi-Fi worked there perfectly. I was even able to download many apps. So I guess my router probably can't take in more connections. Oh well thanks anyway.

Firefox gives me a canceled download every time. I double click the download it starts and finished pretty quick then in the download folder the file just vanishes. I checked my security preferences everything seems to be in order. I came to this site and read the article about downloads messing up nothing helped. I tried to run safe mode and reset but the pop up box never showed it just opened a new browser. It was working before I uninstalled Windows Live OneCare. Then I reinstalled it and its still not working. I checked to see if Internet explorer would work but nothing. I wanted to give it a fresh start and wipe it from my laptop but I don't think I will be able to download it again. Any Ideas?

Banging my head hard in the wall - about to resign

Im sick of getting small horizontal lines during playback on my MBP. I have read all the posts I can find in this forum and other websites. I understand that this is a complex issue. My canon legria HFR 106 shoots in 1080i50, and as I understand it Imovie tags it incorrectly which causes the problems (although it says on the apple site that my camcorder is supported). I´ve gotten some advice from the forum to use "imakefullhd", use JES Deinterlacer and so on.But I want a simple solution.
I really like imovie 11, and want to use it. I don´t want to spend time experimenting (and never find a proper solution) to get rid of the interlacing issue. I´ve reached the conclusion that the easiest way to fix the problem is to buy a new camcorder.
Before I buy a new camcorder I like some advice from people who have a camcorder that record in full HD and have no problems using it in imovie 11. I don´t need the most expensive camcorder, but I have a budget up to 1000 $.
(of course if someone has an easy solution, to make my Canon Legria work properly in IM11, taht would be the best)

That is an excellent suggestion. I tried getting JES program from the Apple download site, but this version kept crashing. However, I was able to get an updated version from the JES Homepage and it works. The other option to change the fields is Steve Mullen's iMakeFullHD. That said, I get some odd outcomes with both programs which I will describe below:
1) If I apply it to an .aic file in an existing event folder, I still get interlacing when previewed in iMovie, but I no-longer get interlacing lines if I play the folder in Quicktime X - so at least some progress is being made.
2) If I manually create a new event folder and copy the .aic file into a new event folder then the first time I open iMovie it doesn't show the interlacing lines, but as soon as I close iMovie and reopen, the interlacing lines reappear.
3) If I create a new User Account on my Mac and import the converted .aic into a new event, there is no interlacing lines even if I open and close iMovie.
Very strange indeed! I recall that Steve Mullen once said that this could have something to do with iMovie making some kind of decison on the first clip or event it encounters.
When I have a chance I am going to play around with this a bit more.

i noticed when i downloaded songs from limewire they would not update to itunes and when i sign onto itunes i get this messege
the registry settings used by itunes drivers for importing and burning cd's and dvd's are missing..this can happen as a result of installing other cd burning software..please reinstall itunes
everytime i delete and reinstall itunes i get this..what the **** they talkin about..for burning cd's i use roxio do they want me to deletee that or what?also i just deleted roxio so now i have no cd burning software at all and it still tells me this and yes i have deleted everything and reinstall and it still does this..please any help or suggestions?

no when i install it my black ice is on and my avg 7.0 is on so the whole time when im downloading my avg is showing me pop ups asking me do i want to terminate or allow so offcourse i hit allow when im downloading the itunes program from the disk that came with the ipod..why am i supposed to disabble all that stuff?
