Bank information in ESS

Hi
I need a code change in Bank information application (ESS). In application there is OVS used for bank key.
Now I want to pass only bank key and rest bank detail to be restricted, how I can achieve this? where to make code changes.

Hi Yogesh,
To make any code changes in ESS, you have to use NWDI to get the code into NWDS. The relevant DC to make the changes for bank application is sap.com/ess**bank where ** is the country code.

Dear experts,
I want to change the button name in Bank information in ESS like SAVE to SUBMIT.
This where i can do it in NWDS? In the message pool i'm able to change ROAD MAP text, but i'm unable to change the text button under labels in bank information in ESS.
We are into ERP 2004 so personalization editor won't come, additionally we have to do it through NWDS.
So in NWDS where can i change this button text?

Hi Devi,
In ESS applications, the buttons are present in the DC ess/per. The Text of 'Save' button is mapped to context attribute Text.ReviewButton. The node 'Text' present in FcPersInfoInterface can be mapped to the view and the text of button can be changed as
wdContext.currentTextElement().setReviewButton("Submit");
The text 'Submit' should appear only while creating or editing records.
While deleting a record, the text of the button should be 'Delete'.

Bank information on ESS

Hi,
On ESS screen, I am unable to edit the bank information. It flashes an error "Data record 0000902500090 9999123120060101000 has grouping value "" instead of "27".
(the country grouping is 27, as this is for Hong Kong).
however from the backend the system is giving the correct functionality.
Please help me to resolve the problem.

Do the inconsistencies occur ONLY if data is loaded or from client copies? If employees are created via PA40 it's not usually an issue... or is it?
I've seen some previous posts about this... I guess I am concerned as we are going live soon and I don't know what to expect in a live environment. We are running RPUFIXDS as part of our cut-over tasks.. but post go live, all employees will be created using PA40. Does anyone know if SAP recommends running RPUFIXDS as a nightly batch job? (if so, that is kinda ridiculous.) Or if this is not an issue when EEs are created only via PA40...? Our issue also is we have several jobs running over night; it will be hard to add more.
Any thoughts or Post Go Live expectations to be shared would be greatly appreciated.

Problem with change bank information on ESS

If your refer to CCURE PC_UI indicator in T77S0, you should activate it only if you're using concurrent employment
Look for N06_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc ([link|http://help.sap.com/bp_hcmv1600/BBLibrary/Documentation/N06_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc]), and read 2.3.7.5 Removing Inconsistencies in Employee Data for a full explanation about this issue.

It seems that you are using the BP ESS 1.0 which is webdynpro based.
In order to edit the screen you need to use NWDI.

ESS Bank Informations

HI to all,
Now the employees are able to modify their bank informations in ESS but not the IBAN code.
Can I public the IBAN code in E.S.S., in order to make them able inchanging it?
My HR release is 4.7

Could you provide more informations about your issue?
1) Did you already activate the IBAN field in the R/3 system?
2) Does the IBAN field appear on ESS?
3) If it appears, are you having problems SAVING new IBAN codes?
That should help me find a aimed solution to your problem.

Validity option not getting displayed in Bank Information ESS

Hi Experts,
Can you please advise how to enable the validity option in the screen for bank bank information. Currently ESS->Personal Profile->Bank Information->Add other bank there is no option to specify the date range eg : create a bank record for a future dated record ( screen shot attached). My understanding is this option is part of the standard and should come towards the bottom of the screen.
I have checked the FPM_FORM_UIBB->HRESS_CC_PER_DTL_BANK_AU and it seems all okie. Can you please advise.Your help is highly appreciated.

Custom field in ESS Bank Information Screen in wrong location

We created two custom fields for WD-ESS Bank Information (1.41). These were added to the iView using Personalization.
Now it is apparent that the Statement text field needs to be above the Checkbox field in order for these to work correctly.
I have tried moving or deleting the fields in the Personalization screen from the iView with no success. Is this possible and if so, how is it done.
If not where on the backend would this be changed.

ESS Bank Information -- IBAN field need to be deactivated

Hello All,
Currently on ESS\MSS portal when I go to the following link ESS--> Personal Information --> Bank Information --> Bank details (Edit) , I get to see the IBAN field.
Is there any way I can deactivated the field from getting displayed, if so how?.
One way to go at the WDJ level and download the respective par file and make the changes (please let me know if I am right).
Is there any other way of doing the same.

Thanks for your kind inputs here , Yes we can do the same on the iView level on field or UI element, but if we want to hide field for all the given users , If I want to hide a field accross all the users , How will i do that.Since hiding a field for a given single user will only be applicable.

ESS Bank Information errors if start date is less than system date

Hello Developers,
We are unable to create a new Bank Information record of type "Other" from ESS Web Dynpro ECC 6.0 when we set the begda field to a date earlier than the system date. When we attempt this we get the message: "Start date should be after <todays date> or later".
Is there a configuration setting that will allow new records to be created with the begda set to a past date when creating new "Other" bank type records?
Our payroll runs bi-weekly and we need to set the beginning date of a new record to the start date of the payroll cycle, which can be earlier than the creation date.

In transaction SPRO got to Personnel Management>Employee Self Service>Service Specific Setting-->Change Default Start Date
Business Add-In HRXSS_PER_BEGDA. You can set the date in the DEFAULT_DATE method.
Parameters of the method DEFAULT_DATE:

PERNR (Importing)
INFTY (Importing)
SUBTY (Importing, optional)
BEGDA (Changing)

Dear Siva,
You can do this using the personalization
1. The pernr should be assigned to user id you are using having Content Administrator rights.
2. Preview the iview for Bank Inforamtion and ctrl + right click on the "Edit Button".
3. Select "Yes" for the Invisible property of button Edit.
4. Click Apply and Ok.
The button will not be visible anymore.

Error message in "Bank Information" in German

Hi,
When a user enters a Standard Percentage value in an incorrect format in the "Bank Information" service of ESS in the portal, I am getting the error message in German instead of English.
The backend has the user set to EN.
Can someone help me in resolving this issue?

Error while updating bank details through ESS

Hi All,
While updating banks details through ESS, " change in the payroll past not possible".
I have checked IT0003 and noticed that accounted to 31.08.2014.
I assume this might be causing the error. Could you please advice with your expertise.

When the infotype 0009 is modified, the system is regrouping data for the infotypes which are checked releavnt according to the table T582G. Retroactivity is checked via V_T582A In view V_T582A for infotype 0009 you will see, I guess, that the field 'Past entry all.' is maintained with an 'E'. This means that it is not allowed to maintain any infotype 0009 record for the payroll past. The important day for this check is the last day of the last accounted period. Retroactive change of infotype 0009 is not permitted as the bank transfer is already done. This is the reason why this infotype can not be changed retroactively. For bank records end user must not be allowed to maintain past date records and should not be allowed to change any other detail of record when payroll for that period is already run. for e.g. if current date is 26/11/2013. Then end user must not be allowed to edit other bank record effective from 25/11/2013. We should not allow end user to edit record effective from 27/11/2013 because payroll is already run for that period. If user is allowed to change then data maintained in infotype 9 and information send to payroll may be different. You can use BAdi HRXSS_PER_BEGDA,to default the next payroll period

Process to restrict an employee to change personal information in ESS

Hi,
As per the requirement, in ESS, Personal information should be in Display mode but here employee can change his personal information like Bank details [IT0009], Family details [IT0022], Address [IT0006] etc.
So please guide to restrict an employee to change personal information in ESS.
